The feisty X Factor judge wasted no time flying over to New York to spend some time with the 34-year-old music honcho.

And although pictures showed her barely cracking a smile while the snappers were snooping, behind the scenes it seems Tulisa is quite close to The Dream.

A source is quoted by The Sun as saying: ‘They’ve been hooking up more and more and tongues have been wagging.

‘He’s been telling his pals all about Tulisa and how talented she is.’

Tulisa and The Dream – real name Terius Youngdell Nash – previously teamed up to work on the singer’s solo material in February.

However, this time around the former N-Dubz singer decended on the US as news of her split from Jack went public.

According to The Mirror, the couple parted ways due to ‘incompatible work schedules’.

‘Jack is filming the new 300 sequel in eastern Europe and will be there until November,’ a source told the newspaper.

‘He isn’t able to travel to the UK at all, as filming schedules are so tight.

‘This meant Tulisa was flying backwards and forwards to Bulgaria – as well as fulfilling her X Factor duties.’

And Tulisa has been adamant the decision to split was a mutual one.

She tweeted on Tuesday: ’4 the record I didn’t dump any1, it was a mutual decision with no hard feelings n that’s all there is 2 it.’

The singer is said to have separated from her boyfriend due to ‘incompatible work schedules’, as she continues to film the X Factor auditions.

According to the Mirror, Tulisa and Jack decided to end their relationship while they were in Bulgaria last week.

A source told the paper: ‘Jack is filming the new 300 sequel in eastern Europe and will be there until November.

After talking it through maturely they both came to the conclusion that a long-distance relationship ‘just wasn’t working’ and came to a ‘mutual decision’ that it was best for them to end their short relationship.

Tulisa has had a very hectic time this year already, after splitting from her N-Dubz bandmate Fazer and the leaking of a sex tape made when she was younger.

However, it seems that the feisty singer remains optimistic and hinted at receiving some good news from the US on Sunday.

She tweeted: ‘Ooooo just had psychic reading in Newcastle! Exciting stuff ..oh what the future holds.. not that I didn’t already know!!bring on Atlanta.’

I started this blog with a whinge about the demise of Jericho and how the fans of the show bombarded the network with tons of nuts, yes nuts, to get at least a resolution to the show’s long arc and they succeeded. No such luck so far with Outcasts and Firefly remains the daddy of all network mistakes. On the plus side, in my early years of teaching teenagers I asked them the same standard introductory question at the beginning of their AS year “What is your favourite TV show?” in one year a massive 60% across the genders said The OC. Whether that is the Holy Grail of TV shows, I don’t know, but still students who missed it first time round will smile and admit that they love The OC and like to catch it on DVD. The current success of the BBC series Episodes unpicks this round of pitch, create and destroy with ascerbic honesty, depicting a world where focus groups and research are the modifiers of story lines and character – perhaps they should have asked my students.

But just as curious as the shows that are cancelled are the shows that are commissioned. This season’s offerings included Unforgettable that used to be called The Rememberer (The Rememberer? Is that really a noun?) By the way if you look up The Rememberer  you get a short story, plus study guide on a short story by Amiee Bender about a man who evolves backwards – a kind of Benjamin Button of evolution – that is presumably why Unforgettable did not use that title. Unforgettable was a vehicle for Poppy Montgomery (Without A Trace) and Dylan Walsh (Nip Tuck) and featured a woman who could remember everything, demonstrating a penchant, at the moment for people with odd foibles, such as photographic memories or aspergers (Suits, Whitechapel, The Bridge). Quite why and how the executives come to their decisions is a curious almost magical process, I hope they won’t mind my dropping their names but Jonathan Coe once described to me the process of offering a pitch to Hollywood executives, which involved him preparing a detailed idea, only two sides long, which he began to offer, within thirty seconds the executive had said ‘Too political! What else?’ and expected another 30 or so ideas.                                                                                                    ’Don’t they know’ said Jonathan to me, ‘I only have an idea once every two years.’ One suspects that the quality of the idea is not the point, which would account for Unforgettable. Brian Sibley on the other hand, pitched any number of ideas to BBC radio for drama serials and put at the bottom, as a forlorn hope, Lord of The Rings, and he got the Radio 4 adaptation which had its influence on what was to come.

Personally whilst I enjoyed Lord of The Rings and its fantasy friends what I miss at the moment is anything space travel. Stargate Universe was an honourable, if not slightly more thoughtful (and that was probably its problem) story of travel in space, as was Firefly, as was Battlestar Galactica. I have already rushed out to see Prometheus and I gather the next Star Trek is on its way and I have hopes of Blood and Chrome the prequel to Battlestar Galactica but now there is news that there is only the pilot and SyFy will not run the series, bad news for our local hero Luke Pasqualino who went from the murdered Freddie in Bristol based Skins to Adama and bad news for those who have long admired the writing of the reimagined Galactica series including Caprica. Not only that the trailer is not available in the UK dammit! Luke P is our local boy – I have taught students who were in that series of Skins, no wonder SyFy are getting cold feet! NBC Universal don’t want to publicise it for “copyright” reasons – those reasons will prevent it being sold at all at this rate, and there goes the money! Mind you if we can’t look I thought we could look at Cookie (Jack O’Connell) as he avenges (or not) the death of his friend played by Luke Pasqualino – apparently not but – in the meantime -lets look at  what we can get – at the moment – and good luck to both of them I say!

AND FINALLY in all that what of the series that last? CSI Miami has bitten the dust after being the most watched TV show in the US. While CSI New York and Las Vegas survive, NCIS goes on and on and Dexter keep going.  Mind you perhaps not one the longest series out there but one of the most consistent, whose popularity is both a mystery and easily explained, is Supernatural, two young men

(and there’s the explanation – there’s a lot of eye candy for those who like the scopophilia of women, but not so much for those who fancy men) so two brothers, now not so young,

NOW – 2012

fighting demons in a quiet corner of television history, perhaps soon to be challenged by Grimm, go on  to season 8 and they’re gunning for a season 9 – the demons of middle age beware!

Directed by James Watkins (My Little Eye, Gone) this tale of two young professional urbanites going to the countryside and running into “hoodies from Hell” is a tour de force of white knuckle moments and wincing violence. Watkins uses the film to make a topical statement about juvenile crime‘s increase in the UK and who is responsible for it.

Little darlings…not.

The former Skins actor has landed a role in a film in Hungary meaning he’ll have to up-roots and move away from his misses if he wants to make it big.Jack is thought to have taken the role as Calisto in movie sequel 300: Battle For Artemisia where he will star alongside Eva Green and Rodrigo Santoro, according to The Sun.

It’s unlikely Tulisa will want to pack her bags and head to Budapest, where the film is being shot, what with her impending X Factor duties.But the flight is only 2hours 20minutes so if Tulisa gets lonely she can always pop on a place to surprise him with a late-night booty call.The former N-Dubz singer might have been tempted to up-sticks had his role in upcoming Hollywood flick Beautiful Creatures not fallen through though.

O’Connell landed the job earlier this year but was forced to pull out as his Visa wasn’t going to be ready in time.It would have been a massive break for the actor as he would have been starring alongside Emma Thompson, Jeremy Irons and  Emmy Rossum in the supernatural drama. He has since been replaced by Alden Ehrenreich.

The X Factor judge took over Cheryl’s role on the ITV show last year and will be making a return for this year’s series too.

But proving there are no hard feelings between the female stars, Tulisa has told of the support Chez gave her when a sex tape of the former N-Dubz star leaked online in March showing her in an intimate moment with her ex MC Ultra.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Tulisa, 23, said: ‘I’ve been in touch with Cheryl.

Though the last few months have been tough, things are certainly looking up for Tulisa at the moment.

Speaking to FHM, Tulisa said: ‘When you think of the nation’s sweetheart you think of someone more elegant and graceful and ladylike.

‘I think Cheryl’s absolutely beautiful and honestly I would expect her to be Number 1 on FHM’s list. I have no idea why I’ve crept up there I’m the new nation’s sweetheart. I’m like “no that role will always belong to Cheryl”.’

Gorgeous Georgia Salpa managed to upstage this year’s world’s sexiest winner on the red carpet at this year’s awards ceremony at London’s Proud Cabaret club.

The leggy 26-year-old stunner looked sensational as she posed for photographs on the red carpet after being voted the fifth sexiest woman on the planet.

She finished ahead of pop star Katy Perry, previous winner Megan Fox and Friends with Benefits star Mila Kunis in the poll.

The Celebrity Big Brother showed off her enviable figure in a tight barely-there dress, decorated in brightly coloured aubergines.

Being named the sexiest woman in the world is a difficult tag to live up to as former N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos may be about to find out after hundreds of red-blooded males took to Twitter to criticise the decision.

All eyes were on this year’s winner Tulisa as she picked up her award to join Keira Knightley and Kelly Brook as the only Brits ever to have won the coveted title.

The No Regrets singer returned to her home town of Camden to pick up the award where she was given a run for her money by a bevy of beauties looking to grab the limelight.

Tulisa stepped out in a black one-shoulder dress with gold sequined detail as she looked to put her sex tape shame behind her.

She finished her look with a pair of chunky black heels and a gold clutch bag before celebrating with rumoured boyfriend Jack O’Connell at an after party at Mayfair’s Mahiki nightclub.

The N-Dubz singer and X Factor judge certainly looked the part as she attended the bash at the Proud Bank in London, in a short black dress with cut-out designs.

The pair looked elated – with Tulisa gripping tightly to the Skins star’s arm – as they later left in a taxi.

‘It’s a true honour and definitely a lovely confidence boost,’ the 23-year-old added.

Meanwhile Tulisa wasn’t the only one attracting attention for her attire.

Reality TV star Jessica-Jane Clement – who recently appeared on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! almost suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction in a skimpy white backless frock.

The former N-Dubz star has left bandmates Dappy and Fazer behind to launch her solo career, releasing her debut single Young this week.

The 24-year-old chose G-A-Y at Heaven for her first live solo performance, and it seems The X Factor judge was a hit.

Opening her set by shouting ‘Are you ready to party?’ Tulisa then launched into an N-Dubz medley of songs including the hits Playing With Fire, Best Behaviour, I Need You and Say It’s Over.

Taking to the stage in a skin-tight lycra playsuit, Tulisa certainly seemed to be enjoying herself as she performed with her topless backing dancers, leading them around the stage on dog leads.

She revealed on Twitter that she was ‘loving G-A-Y’, posting a picture of herself backstage with friends including new boyfriend Jack O’Connell.

The singer has tried to keep details of the pair’s relationship under wraps, refusing to be drawn on the subject during an interview with Alan Carr on his show Chatty Man.

‘I don’t really feel comfortable talking about it. I’ve never liked talking about romances,’ she said.

‘I’m in a relationship and he’s a very nice guy.’

On Saturday Tulisa was also joined backstage by former X Factor contestant Craig Colton, who praised the star’s ‘amazing’ performance saying that she ‘killed it’.

Tulisa was clearly pleased that her debut solo performance had been a success, writing today: ‘Thank you to everyone who came to G-A-Y last night! I had such an amazing night!!!’

In scenes due to air tonight, the feisty singer admitted she feared her career would be over and her reputation damaged forever when the explicit footage surfaced online last month.

Speaking on the comedian’s show, Chatty Man, she wept: ‘I thought: ‘My career could be over and the whole of the UK thinks I’m a slapper.’

Tulisa claimed she had been living in fear after she was tipped off last summer that Justin, now 28, was planning on leaking the tape.

Having just secured a seat on The X Factor judging panel, the former N-Dubz star assumed her job would be at risk.

‘It’s been torture for about 8 months,’ she explained.

Tulisa then confided in friend and X Factor producer Beth Hart.

‘I said: “Look there’s a possibility my ex has this footage and wants to release it. What is it going to do to my career? How is it going to affect me?”

‘So every day during X Factor I was absolutely sh***ing ­myself because I didn’t want anything like that out there.

And the Young singer also feared about what those closest to her would say.

‘I’ve always said I wouldn’t even do a bloody bikini shoot let alone something like that. I’m all about, to an extent, ­morals and I’ve got a really close-knit family and things like that. It’s just not right,’ she added.

However, Tulisa can’t help but think her sex tape scandal has been blown out of proportion.

‘I would hardly call it a sex tape.

‘Number one, because there was no sex involved in it.

‘Number two, a 19-year-old who’s just starting to learn to give b***-jobs and her boyfriend pulls out a video camera doesn’t really class as a sex tape.’

Talking about her brave decision to come clean, she added: ‘Fans could be thinking that I’ve just met some randomer backstage in my dressing room at a gig and I don’t want people to think that of me.’

Moving on with her life, she is now dating 21-year-old Skins star Jack O’Connell and is determined to keep the relationship under wraps.

Eden Lake. A British horror film following a couple that go for a romantic trip that goes horribly wrong.

I must admit something, before we go on. I’m a Michael Fassbender fan (if you don’t already know that). I’m aiming to watch all of his films. And I’m doing pretty good so far. So that’s why I decided to watch this film. Not the reason I watched it today though…it was simply the first film I grabbed. But, you know, in the long run, it was for Mr Fassbender.

Well…

I was expecting more gore, I must admit. So in that sense, I’m pretty glad that it was watchable for me. But daaaaym this film is sick. Like, seriously. There’s the occasional gross moment in this film, but that’s not really what it is about this film that makes my stomach turn…

It’s how sick people can be to each other. You see films like Saw (not seen that yet and not looking forward to it at all) and this film would in comparison be quite tame. But Saw you realise the unlikeliness of that actually happening. In this film…well, let’s just say that I could see this kind of stuff happening. And it’s sick. It shows just how twisted people, and in particular teenagers, can be in this day and age. And it makes me wonder why? Why do people get off on this kind of thing? I kind of feel scared to walk in the woods alone now…really, that’s how much this film has scared me.

And it’s all because of Jack O’Connell. I’ve seen him in Skins, and he plays a prat in that too. But, you know, he never killed anyone. In this, he gets off on shredding Fassbender up, burning him and a small child (yeah…small child…) and bashing his friend’s face in until he dies. I haven’t seen O’Connell play any other kind of role, but this has got to be his finest yet. He is sadistic, and chillingly suited to this role. I could see this boy doing this everyday. Not sure if that’s good acting on his half or just himself exaggerating his behaviour, but holy hell, man!

Sad to say that O’Connell stole the show, in my opinion. We have Kelly Reilly, a slightly less known actress to me…well, completely unknown actually. And, yeah, okay, she’s okay. Her running away from hoodies scenes are pretty convincing. It’s just everything else. The scenes with Fassbender all come off a little whiny and pathetic. It irritates me. A lot. But then again, I suppose that’s always the way in horror films, isn’t it? Throw in a really annoying leading lady and you’re sure to have a convincing horror film, because they pretty much always turn out as badasses. Well, yep film. You succeeded in that.

And then there’s Fassbender. The reason I watched the film in the first place. Well…let’s just say that I prefer his more complex characters, like Magneto or David (yeah, I have already decided that his Prometheus character will be awesome from the viral I saw on Filmophilia’s site. But my life, this man doesn’t half go through hell in this film. And he does so very well. As he gets his side ripped up, I actually felt it. It was horrible. And as he was dying in his girlfriend’s arms and telling her his plans for their honeymoon, I think I may have teared up a bit. And it’s not often that I do that during horror films. But yeah, as much as I loved this character, I will hold my hands up and say that this is not his greatest role.

And the way this film was done is genius. I mean, half of the time you don’t see the horrors that happen to Fassbender or see the child burning (yep, I won’t let you forget that), which I suppose in a way is good. But you see it in your mind. And I don’t know if that’s worse or not, but it sure made me puke a little in my mouth. And the things you do see, like the rock through her foot, are just sick. Really horrible. Not stupidly over the top with blood splurging everywhere, but just that right kind of nastiness that will possibly give me nightmares tonight. So this is the right kind of wrong. Because that foot scene is bloody wrong!

So I suppose you can tell that I liked this film right? Not for the reasons that I thought I would though. Fassbender really didn’t shine too much, neither did Reilly, but O’Connell and the sick, twisted way in this film worked is what made me fall pretty much in love with it. Not sure what it is about sick films nowadays, but I seem to be liking more and more of them. Not that I like what I see…but the fact that it made me sick without making me sick…does that make sense.

Regardless. Watch it. Now. Do it. You doing it? GO!

The returning X Factor judge is determined to prevent any personal blunders leaking out again and is going to extreme lengths to ensure her friends, colleagues and the men in her life will never be able to dish the dirt on her.

A source told The Sun: ‘Tulisa is still having sleepless nights about the video.

‘She is now paranoid about everything and reckons the best way to deal with that is through the law.’

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Tulisa, who is currently hitched up with Skins actor Jack O’Connell, played a crucial part in the demise of Max George and Michelle Keegan’s relationship.

Just days after heartthrob Max admitted his engagement to the Corrie star, it was revealed he had embarked on a seven-hour drinking bender with the Young songstress while the pair were in Los Angeles.

And sources close to Michelle say she was less than impressed with Max’s flirty behaviour.

‘From there, Tulisa invited Max, Jay and a few other friends back to her gorgeous penthouse for an after-hours party.

‘Max thinks Tulisa is absolutely gorgeous. He was being pretty flirty, just as Jay was getting it on with one of her brown-haired chums.

The N-Dubz star explained that she was too intoxicated at the time of the incident to remember the footage being taken, which is why she last year denied rumours of its existence, according to a report in The Sun.

In a High Court statement on March 23, the 23-year-old said: ‘I believe I must have been intoxicated at the time the video footage was taken.

‘Now that I can see the video, I can see it is me in it.’

‘I must have been very drunk to let my then boyfriend Justin Edwards, who I also know features in the video, take the footage.’

In her statement, Tulisa – who is now thought to be dating Skins star Jack O’Connell – also insisted that the video was shot behind the locked doors of a toilet or dressing room, not in a public place as was claimed.

‘It must have been in a private dressing room or toilet in a dressing room. My dressing room always had the door locked and there was security outside. It looks like I was at an N-Dubz gig,’ she said.

The statement was made last month as the TV star applied to extend the original emergency injunction which banned the video.

Despite the recent furore surrounding a certain celebrity sex tape, the former N-Dubz singer is poised to sign a new contract – just days after Simon Cowell publicly confirmed she would be returning to the show.

X Factor mastermind Cowell is said to be keen to bash out a deal sooner rather than later so that Tulisa has ‘one less thing to worry about’ in the wake of her recent embarrassment

A source told The Sun: ‘Simon wants Tulisa back and she wants to come back, so it’s down to contracts now.

‘He’s conscious of the fact she’s had a rubbish time recently with the sex tape thing so he figures getting a new deal sorted will be one less thing for her to worry about.’

And although the feisty Female Boss proved her worth when she won last year’s show with her ‘little muffins’ Little Mix, the juicy salary is pittance compared to the amount Take That star Gary Barlow earned last year.

The source added: ‘Tulisa is in line for a decent bonus. She proved herself on the show and did a great job with Little Mix last year. It might seem a lot of money but it’s a fraction of what Gary Barlow gets and is much lower than what Cheryl Cole – who she effectively replaced.’

Although it had previously been thought the 23-year-old singer amassed £450,000 for her first stint on the judging panel last year, it’s now been suggested the figure was nearer £300,000.

Gary, however, earned a staggering £1.5million as head honcho on the ITV show in Cowell’s absence.

Gary and Louis have signed their contracts already and Kelly Rowland is expected to return after Simon confirmed he wanted all four of last year’s judges back this year.

Meanwhile, things have been hotting up between Tulisa and the new man in her life, Jack O’Connell.

Twenty-three-year-old Tulisa had been filling in for Comedy Dave and looked sophisticated in her matching pink trench coat and retro sunglasses combo when she left the studio this morning.

Although the returning X Factor judge had a ‘fun’ time on air this week, she has admitted the early starts wont be missed. 

Following her final shift, she posted on Twitter: ‘Well that was a fun week on the @ChrisMoylesShow thanks for having me @CHRISDJMOYLES @BBCR1. Finally got my mornings back!’

When probed about The X Factor by Chris today, the former N-Dubz star was reluctant to give away too many details.

Although she confirmed that she will be back on the show, she refused to reveal whether or not a contract had been signed.

Meanwhile, Tulisa has also been dodging speculation that the new man in her life is former Skins star Jack O’Connell.

Fending off rumours of her supposed relationship with Take Me Out: The Gossip host Mark Wright, Tulisa recently revealed that she was ‘seeing someone’.

However, she has since refused to divulge who the lucky lad is.

‘I was with Tulisa when it happened. She was upset but she’s a strong lady she’ll be absolutely fine, man. Don’t worry about that,’ he said.

And it seems her temping role could be exactly what she needs to put a smile back on her face following a sex tape of her in an intimate moment with an ex-boyfriend being leaked online.

Tulisa, who is currently promoting her debut solo single Young, also appears to have a new man in her life that is helping take her mind off the recent scandal in the form of ex-Skins star Jack O’Connell.

The pair were pictured enjoying a romantic meal together on Saturday night at Mayfair’s trendy Hakkasan restaurant.

Justin Edwards, 28, said he regretted allowing the video to be filmed in the first place as he implied it was the former N-Dubz star’s idea.

He then declared he would never have posted the footage, claiming it would be ‘ungentlemanly’ and he had been ‘brought up better than that’.

X Factor judge Tulisa, 23, took legal action against her ex when footage of the ‘intimate moment’ appeared online last week.

She claims Edwards – a rap artist who performs under the name MC Ultra – committed a ‘vindictive act of betrayal’ which was ‘motivated by personal spite and financial greed’.

But in a statement read to London’s High Court, Edwards said of the video appearing online: ‘I am disgusted it has been, and regret ever allowing the claimant to persuade me that we should film ourselves.’

He then moved to add: ‘Simply because I would find it ungentlemanly. I was brought up better than that.

‘I simply do not, and never have, possessed the film referred to.’

Yet Tulisa’s QC Desmond Browne told Mr Justice Tugendhat the suggestion it was Tulisa’s personal footage was an act of ‘hypocrisy’ and ‘a deceitful representation of the position’.

Last week, when the tape emerged, Tulisa won an injunction on the six-minute video.

Her lawyers then reportedly slapped Edwards with a £100,000 claim for damages for alleged breach of privacy and confidentiality by Tulisa.

In the hearing yesterday, Mr Justice Tugendhat extended the ban on anyone using, publishing, communicating or disclosing the clip to another person.

No date for a trial has been fixed.

And the 23-year-old singer has apparently already reached the meet-the-family stage as they were joined by Jack’s mother and sister.

Rumours have been rife that the pair are dating following a night out at London club Aura the day Tulisa arrived back in the UK following her stint in LA earlier this month.

However, earlier this month Jack rubbished the rumours as he took to Twitter to insist their relationship was purely platonic.

He wrote: ‘<assive thankings to my MATE Tulisa for a top Wednesday and beyond. Take it easy PAL & maybe see you in USA, my MATE (not lover, not mrs).'

Even so, this is the first time Tulisa and Jack, 21, have been spotted together since her sex tape emerged last week.

The footage is believed to have been leaked by her ex MC Ultra, real name Justin Edwards, although he has denied any involvement.

MC Ultra, real name Justin Edwards, is now thought to have fled from his London home and has been lying low in the West Country since the video appeared online.

Last week the former N-Dubz star spoke out in a YouTube address about the clip, admitting it was her as she told fans how ‘devastated’ she was at her ex boyfriend’s action.

‘I am devastated, heartbroken. When you share an intimate moment with someone that you love and trust you never imagine for one minute that footage may at any point be shared with the rest of the UK.’ she said in the film.

Now Tulisa is reportedly set to sue Edwards, 28, for £100,000 in damages for alleged breach of privacy and confidence, according to The Sun.

The video was available for £3.90 from a website called nottulisa.com, but an emergency injunction from the star’s lawyers saw the site taken down that day, as well as a blanket ban imposed on hosting the video in both the US and UK. Tulisa is thought to be seeking to extend this injunction today.
