I keep a gratitude journal and update it almost daily. It wouldn’t be hard for me to list out the things I am thankful for. But let’s give it a try, anyways.

I’m thankful for the family I was born into. The closest relatives I have in Houston is my mom’s first cousin, Tita Edith’s, family. Tita Edith’s kids, Anthony, Joanne, and Gino, are the cousins I grew up with and the cousins I will be connected to in the future. They’re pretty awesome human beings. Seeing them this past Thanksgiving was amazing and I’m thankful for them. We don’t see each other a lot, but I’m trying to change that and become more involved.

I’m thankful for the family I chose. I was able to see my great friend Chloe. Her mom and step dad were Mr. and Mrs. Clause for the Uptown Park Lighting Festival. Her husband, Chris, couldn’t go, because he recently had surgery on his collar bone and  going through crowds wouldn’t have been smart. Chloe’s great Uncle George couldn’t go either, because of the crowds, as well. He has a walker and it would have been hard to navigate through the crowd. So Chloe invited me. I hadn’t seen her in awhile, since school has been taking up my life. And it was awesome to see her. She is one of the nursing school friends I am working hard to keep.

Afterwards, I spent the night at Jackie’s. Her family was having a late Thanksgiving dinner. Jackie has a sister, Eva, who I love dearly. She is the type of person who has such an open heart. She knows that I am important to Jackie and has welcomed me in their family whole heartedly. Jackie’s mom and dad have made me feel welcome as well. I’m glad I was able to spend time with them, too.

I had a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. I had more than enough shares of turkey! And got to spend time with loved ones. The only time I spent alone was when I was driving.

I got my replacement phone today. It didn’t come with a SIM card, which defeated the purpose of getting my phone, but I just bought one at the TMobile store. I was able to get ahold of my loved ones through Google Voice. I had this phone number for my side business as a photographer. But it came in handy because I was able to text and make calls through the internet. If anyone needed to get ahold of me, they could text my Google Voice number and all the texts would go straight to my email. Pretty cool!

My great friend Lizzie’s wedding is tomorrow and I cannot wait to celebrate her and Nelson’s union. I asked many people to keep Lizzie and her baby in their prayers. And with the grace of God, she and her baby girl are doing well and are healthy! If that isn’t something to be thankful for, I don’t know what is.

When I woke up this morning, the first thing I saw was this angel’s face.
And having her in my life is absolutely a great blessing that I thank God for everyday. She has changed me in ways I could not fathom. I hope the start of the holiday season has treated you well.

Joie and I once worked as managers for a virtual world website. It was quite the experience. We witnessed first hand at how cruel children can be. We heard stories about how they picked on this one or that one at school too. Or how this member was prank calling the other member and hanging up, and so on. One virtual world member, treating others as an outcast. We were even unfortunate enough to witness a child, or what we had to presume was a child, threatening to kill herself. Serious business, and it was emotionally hard to deal with.

As you can see, we have moved past the whole virtual world thing, and we are both very thankful for that. That’s a whole ‘nother story of it’s own.

When we ventured off with our blogging, and decided to truly make a “real go of it”, I really had no idea what we would encounter. To be completely and totally honest, I had no clue at the can of worms I opened when I made the post the other day in regards to momdot, and her post that is basically making fun of the differences in people. Yes, I tweeted my post, and asked for retweets. No, I do not regret it, not at all. I still stand by how I feel. However, what has come to light is that it IS a form of cyberbullying. From a so called “mother”. Tough title when your making fun of others as if on the school yard playground.

Twitter has gone haywire. And it seems to me that Trisha and/or one of her “yes men” have created a whole new twitter account to air someone else’s dirty laundry. How that pertains to the illogical behavior that she expressed on her blog, I guess I’ll never know, or understand. Pretty hard to rationalize grown ups acting in such a manner. As of the most current, without putting forth too much effort to really find out who said what, and who has done what, I have found that I’m banned, lol. Big shocker isn’t it? The post that she made making “funny” jabs at people that are not her version of “normal” is password protected. Why? Why bother locking the entry? She prides herself on hairy controversy. But folks, please tell me. What is controversy without debate? What’s the point of it?

Somewhere yesterday I read that Trisha tends to send nasty tweets, just in time for you to see them, and reply then deletes them. I really didn’t think an adult would stoop so low, boy was I wrong. I was lucky enough to recieve one of her nasty tweets, which disappeared quickly. Too bad I didn’t think to grab a screen shot. Oh well, I’m wearing my big girl panties this week.

Some have asked me this through messanger, email, or twitter, if it’s my daughter on her blog. No, Trish did not make fun of my daughter. I guarantee if it were my child on her blog, I’d go redneck on her ass. And apparently so would a few of you. Thanks!  I hope that girls mother comes across the blog and picks her apart for pure fun and ethical enjoyment.

I want to close this post, by asking the rest of you one thing. Please, remember it’s an outrage because of what she posted (ew others agree with her) is not ethical behavior, please, don’t stoop to her level. Don’t bring yourself down on what you are fighting against.

Take the right channels here, be and act like the adult with ethics that you are. Here are some links that I don’t mind sharing. You don’t have to visit them, it’s all your choice.

Good day to all.  I have decided I’m going to write a blog post for most of the full photo shoots I do from now on.  So here is my first one. 

I shot this set on Monday November 23 2009 with Jackie.  We’ve already known each other for a while now, I met her through another friend of mine years ago.  She’s been doing photography as a hobby herself for the past few years, and she’s always wanted to pose for a photo shoot.  I have also wanted to plan a shoot with her for a while now, so we planned one just the other day.  One thing about Jackie… She is dedicated!  She walked for 50 minutes to get to the studio from her house in the cold, damp, and windy weather.  Normally Londoners would take the bus everywhere we go, but there is a city-wide transit strike that started about 2 weeks ago.  We’re all struggling through it.  Anyway, once we met at the school, I brought her to the studio.  She and I went through some of the clothes she brought, and talked ideas.  I didn’t have too much of a plan at all when I went in to this shoot, because my past week has been extremely busy, but we figured things out as we went.  around the middle point Jackie really freed herself up, and got comfortable in front of the cam.  I’m glad she did because we got some awesome poses and spontaneous shots, and this being her first photo shoot, she loosened up pretty quickly.

At one point she was in a pose that reminded me of the famous painting, “We Can Do It!” by J. Howard Miller.  I got her to make a few quick changes in her stance, and roll up her sleeve to reproduce the painting by my memory.  It turned out pretty similar in pose, slightly off, but I did a few changes in photo shop to make it obvious what I was going for.  I’m happy with the outcome.

We shot in three different looks (different outfits), and each is special for different reasons.  We ended the shoot with a normal studio portrait, similar to a school portrait, with better lighting.  It was a great experience working with Jackie.

What a long, boring day… 3 long lessons with basically nothing to do.
Worst is the English C class I had in the afternoon, I have to write an academic paper, 6 pages and I have no idea on how to start.
My topic is about how the evolution of martial arts of the 20th and now 21st century has gone.
But where to start, how to find and construct the information is the biggest mystery…I have no idea.

I wanna especially take up the topic about MMA and the UFC.
Personally, I am no fan of MMA, also known as mixed martial arts, and when I watch the UFC matches… I get like…what the fuck is this?

In my opinion MMA is nothing but brutes just pounding the living fuck out of one another with ruthless kicking and punching, and then they know some good wrestling moves on the ground…but nothing more, no technique, no dicipline and most importantly; no honour.
This isnt real martial arts, for there is no ART in this sport, or blood sport as I call it.
No, I prefer the traditional Wushu and all those other traditional east asian martial arts, which I feel is the true artforms of combat and selfdefense.

I would like to give a tip for a good movie; ‘Wushu’ from 2008 starring and directed by Sammo Hung, produced by Jackie Chan and introdcuing the rising wushu stars Wenjie Wang and Fengchao Liu, seen on the above pic with Jackie himself.
Great movie about a bunch of kids growing up at a wushu academy, learning about life and wushu when they ultimately must use their power to defeat evil.
It is kinda B, but the acting is good and very, very well choreographed, and the Wushu competition scenes are breathtaking.

Though, to change to another subject from all the violence; I created a little but very nice playlist on Spotify, filled with some of my personal favorite love songs ^^

Back in the days, Glasgow art-pop band the Yummy Fur, had members like Alex Kapranos and Paul Thomson(Franz Ferdinand) and were led by Jackie McKeown(1990s) or John McKeown. The band existed seven years, from 1992 untill 1999.

But for the fans (I don’t count myself as one), good news! The band is getting back together for the first USA tour ever!

McKeown and Thomson will be in the band, Kapranos will be not. Also, a best-of compilation will be released.

In memory of last week’s loss of the one and only Jackie Taylor, I thought the next few days should be reserved for revisiting other shocking deaths in the teen drama genre.

Some of these death scenes were shocking because they came out of nowhere.

Others blew us away simply because of who it was that died.

In other cases, it was the pure tragedy that chilled us to our bones.

This week, we pay tribute.

Ok so these guys popped on the Liverpool scene a lil while ago… and after working with them and various projects I got to really admire and respect what they do. They are 3 very determined brothers… and i mean actual blood relatives not like my brothers from another :S…

They do everything themselves from writing lyrics to directing and editing there own videos which are of fantastic quality and standard… Im proud of these guys work ethic and i hope they go very far in the future… defiantly look out for our collab… coming soon!

Jackie Chan, the great living legend, is probably my number one inspiration in this world.
When it comes to his accomplishments in life, his talents, fame and fortune; there are few to surpass him.
He spreads happiness and inspiration wherever he goes, truly great.
Sometimes I wonder, if I can ever do even half of the things he has done during his long life; atleast I am fighting to
Jackie is surely a man who will go down in history as one of the biggest icons of the 20th and 21 century, being only in his mid 50’s; but with the amazing stamina and will of a 20 year old, he has a lot left to do

I am really proud that I was born in ‘The Time of Jackie Chan‘ and one of my goals is to meet him, someday…

Though to a more serious topic regarding Jackie.
Last year, in February of 2008 hsi father Charles Chan passed away, and the images of Jackie at his funeral brings tears to my eyes and pain to my heart, to see such a happy man so sad
Jackie’s father ment a whole lot to him, and looking at footage of the two really shows how happy Jackie is and how he loves his father.

I know the day my parents die, I will be equally sad.
One must only realize that the natural way of the world is that change is the greates truth of them all, as time and space is in constant motion; all life ends, so a new can begin.
To bare the emotion of grief and loss is another thing, we must just learn to accept.
Just like Buddha teaches.

I would also like to honour the great Jet Li, another icon of the modern world.
Not only is his martial arts and film work utmost impressive, but his engagement in philanthropy mainly through his ‘The One Foundation‘ is amazing!
An active Buddhist like myself, through his website he answers some very good questions thru his point of view based on Buddhist teaching but also through his own experience and opinion ( though not very updated anymore there are loads of great material there)

• Monday’s One Tree Hill (2.6 million viewers) dropped ever so slightly and Gossip Girl (2.2 million viewers) dropped a bit more in the ratings compared to last week.
• Last night’s 90210 ( 2.1 million viewers) stayed the same in the ratings compared to last week.
• For some reason, this week (both Monday and Tuesday) The CW only had 94 percent coverage instead of 95 percent. But I’m not sure how much difference that actually makes in the ratings. I’ve been told it was 94 prior to this season so it’s possible that will be the norm again.
• The CW sent out a press release, however, touting this week’s ratings for all 3 shows, as well as how the network did overall during the sweeps period as well for this season in general compared to last year.
• It was comforting to read the comments on EW.com’s 90210 recap and see many other original fans with similar complaints to the Jackie-Kelly storyline as I have.
• TV Guide Magazine has a spoiler-filled interview with Matt Lanter (Liam, 90210).

Han var riktigt trevligt, jag hade skoj och vi hade massor att prata om. Och som tur var är jag ingen dålig förlorare. Så jag hade ett leende på läpparna även när vi gick därifrån. Efter tre matcher sa vi faktiskt hejdå med en kram, nothing else! Ledsen att göra er besvikna  
 

Om det blir en fortsättning eller ej får vi se…time will tell.

Last weeks episode ended with Silver’s mom Jackie unconscious, the viewer unsure if she’s dead or alive. She went into cardiac arrest but can’t fight it because of the chemo so it’s an episode of goodbyes. Kelly struggles with the decision to see her mom. She thinks her mom died because they moved her room and when she finds out she’s alive she decides to forgive her and see her. Jackie dies at the end of the episode, one hand in Silver’s and one hand in Kelly’s. A little too soapish.

Navid tells Naomi that Adrianna is doing drugs again. Adrianna responds by telling Navid that she never loved him and that he was easy to get over. Obviously, that’s the crazy drugged Adrianna talking, not the uber depressed Adrianna that we’ve seen since she and Navid broke up. Naomi finds Adrianna’s drugs in her room and of course, gets super pissed.

Naomi is breaking some hearts this episode. Richard and his mom walk in on Jamie and Naomi making out and his mom gives Naomi a verbal whipping. It is so sad seeing Richard because he is so depressed. Naomi confesses to Richard that she was only dating him to get into CU after she admits that to Jamie. Initially Jamie breaks up with her, but then realizes he’s falling for her. He tells her this and she responds by admitting that she is still hung up on someone else. (hint, Liam, hint, hint)

Jasper is invited over to the Wilson’s for some mahi mahi. Right before he arrives, Dixon drops the bomb that he is a drug dealer, making dinner quite awkward. Annie’s parents don’t want her to see Jasper anymore because he’s odd, has no friends  is a rumored drug dealer and Annie isn’t herself around him because she isn’t a loner or an outcast. Jasper always seems to want this constant calmness within himself and Annie, but doesn’t work so well with him. At the end of the episode, Jasper kicks Navid down the stairs at school. We’ll have to wait until the next episode to find out what happens with that…

So I’ve finally restarted cleaning my room!

I would just like to say that this was DISGUSTING and I kept the wrapper because it’s the funniest thing ever.

On the 22nd of September my team, Avenue Nissan， played Canadian Tire in the NT championship. The final score was 5-16. Unfortunately we lost.  At the end we all got trophies. I feel good that we even got to the championship game. Here are the names of the players on the first row from left to right:Cole, Ben Y, Josh,Ben A ,and Matty. The babies are two days old and we don’t know what to call them. In the NICU they like to put a poster up in each baby’s incubator that reads, “Hi my name…” so that all the different doctors and nurses who work there can relate to the babies as people. Our babies are still “triplet 1″ and “triplet 2″.

I draw up a shortlist.

“I still like Walter and Albert,” says Rich. “No way, I say. “I am not having children called Wally and Bert.” “Why not?” says Rich looking genuinely disappointed. “It’s too comedy. We might as well just call them Stan and Ollie, Eric and Ernie.” “That’s a good idea.”

“No. I like Lorcan and Aidan for the boys. Or Thady.” “I’m not having all my children with Paddy names,” says Rich hotly. “Oi.” “I’m not being funny, but I’m not Irish.  Saoirse was bad enough.”

“OK. Well what then? Is the girl going to be Maeve?” “I don’t know she doesn’t look like a Maeve.” “I know. She’s more of an Orla.” “Yes Orla suits her.” “Lets call her that then,” I say, excited to have agreed on at least one of them. Naming a child is hard. So much of who you are and how you are perceived in the world depends on your moniker. Orla means golden in Gaelic, and since the slight jaundice is giving her a sort of all-over St Tropez tan, it seems to fit.

“Well my next favourite boy’s name is Frank,” says Rich. “As in Francis?”. “Yes.” “OK, one of them can be Francis, known as Frank. That’s nice. That will be triplet 2.”  ”And since you chose Saoirse and Orla, I should choose the boys. I like Reuben.” “No, sometimes as much as I have Jew envy, we are Catholic and Reuben is just too old Testament.” “All right, what then?” Rich hates this naming game. He has refused to to talk about it until now, but we must make a decision soon.

“I still like Thady,” I say. It’s the abbreviated form of the name Thaddeus, pronounced with a hard t as in Thomas.” I first heard it in Ireland years ago, but I don’t tell Rich that. I’m going to sneak another paddy name under the wire.  ”Thady… Thady,” says Rich trying it out. “Thady Bear… won’t he just get called Thady Bear?” “What’s wrong with that ? I like it.”

“OK. Thady, Frank and Orla”, says Rich finally.

Det var höjden av leda att behöva gå upp så tidigt varje morgon. Uttrycket “Så tidigt att man måste knulla tuppen i röven för att han ska gala” föll väl in på sin plats.

På sommaren ska man njuta av ledighet. Men inte jag. Den sommaren hade jag tagit ett halvt steg in i vuxenvärlden och skrivit upp mig på åtta veckors arbete.

Jag var nitton år och världen var en obruten förpackning. Det var då fröken Z kom in i bilden. Med en sliten tygväska över axeln som innehöll böcker och kassettband med Einstuerzende Neubauten kom hon gående på väg mot sfinxen i Botaniska trädgården.

Jag förstod mig aldrig på henne. Men hon var ju inte som alla andra jag hade mött under mina år på jorden. Hon berättade om Chopin och försåg mig med brev som innehöll de mest märkvärdiga teman, ord och fraser. Hon berättade om “Det skrivna ordet”.

Fan ta dig fröken Z! Ibland önskar jag att jag kunde lägga pennan för gott och rikta in mig på motion, Farmville eller precis vad fan som helst. Men jag kan inte. Det går helt enkelt inte.

Jag kommer dö med fingrarna fulla av bläck.

O projeto começou a ser idealizado em junho, inicialmente ele mostraria a rotina dos irmãos de Michael, Jackie, Jermaine, Tito e Marlon, antes da turnê This is It. Mas o programa foi reformulado depois da morte do Rei do Pop, serão quatro episódios exibidos aos domingos, com algumas cenas gravadas em junho e muitas cenas após a morte de Michael.

O canal A&E não divulgou se o reality trará imagens dos filhos de Michael Jackson.

- Your guests are all unique – why not celebrate their individuality? Use different patterns and/or colors of napkin rings that match their unique personalities. Are they simple or sophisticated? Fun or formal? Unpredictable or conservative? Show them you care with a little customization to complement your table linens.

- Candles are always a dramatic and cost effective way to make a statement – use votives at each place setting with a name card and emphasize beautiful table linens for a classy and simple look. Or go more dramatic and cluster your favourite candle sticks of varying heights and looks as a centerpiece. Use colors that complement or match your dishes, glasses and table linens.

- Nothing brings subtle sophistication to your table like a well-selected runner. Use one the length of the table plus 12 inches to hang over the edge (usually a 90″ or longer) as the perfect centerpiece. If you are using a solid tablecloth or placemats, make sure to jazz it up with a festive pattern. If you have a patterned look already, use a vibrant solid runner that picks up on one of the colors in your runner.

- Use 2 napkins instead of one with a napkin ring. With a solid napkin inside, and a more decorative napkin on the outside.

When setting your table, just remember: do what feels right for the mood. A casual gathering calls for a relaxed setting. A formal meal should feel that way at the table. Either way, it doesn’t take much to elevate your in-home dining experience. Replacing an old tablecloth with something fresh an exciting, and adding a few simple table accessories can go a long way to impressing your guests. The strength of any Buster Keaton performance is his supreme physicality. The man’s ability to use props, his co-stars, as well as his own body to carry out extremely fun and inventive sight gags and stunts is second to none.

Especially considering the fact that his subject of his derring-do often revolves around moving vehicles (trains and cars are what I’m thinking of specifically), it is made only that much more dangerous, and consequently impressive. The weak area of the Keaton films that I’ve seen thus far (The General, and this), are the parts where he has to carry the parts in between the major stunt set-pieces. While far surpassing a lot of the action sequences in most movie of his day, Keaton is trumped when it comes to the dramatic acting. In that arena he is bested by other comedians like Chaplin, and the Marx Brothers.

Sherlock, Jr. is a short film, lasting only about 35 minutes, which I think works in the film’s favor. If it were too much longer, it would drag, and if it were feature length it would eventually become agonizing! As it is, I was more than entertained by film the entire time, and caught myself checking my watch only because I was watching some food in the oven.

The music for this production, just like in The General, serves the purpose of helping pace the film. During the action sequences, the piano music is peppy and lively. Likewise when the story wants us to dwell on the Keaton’s love interest, the music slows down and we know what’s going to happen. This tendency of using the music this way helps to keep the slower parts interesting, but allows for no surprises in the plot. We know immediately what the tone of the scene is going to be. That being said, I don’t think anyone really watches a Buster Keaton movie wondering if he’ll actually get the girl, they watch to see him do what he does best…perform.

Now I realize that Buster Keaton is a pioneer in the movie industry, but he has so many films in this book of 1001, yet some who have carried on in his name like Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung are not recognized at all in this list.  While I am looking forward to seeing whatever else Mr. Keaton has in store for me in his other films, it seems only right that other performers get recognition too.  So if you liked Sherlock, Jr. check out Dragons Forever, Eastern Condors, or Armor of God (also known as Operation Condor 2: Armor of God).
