There is one upside of this draft season – I get to introduce a new voice to the blog. Tyler will be providing some NFL coverage here on Ball Hog’s Blog from this point forward. Being another business student with sports interest, Tyler will provide a voice for the front office, fans, and play the role of your typical Monday morning quarterback. I’m going to pass it off to him for his thoughts on teams possible first-round selections.

Hello everyone. I am going to make this as quick and as painless as possible, just like JaMarcus Russels career. Hopefully it becomes as profitable, anyways here are picks 1-5 with the rest of the first round to follow.

“I don’t want to pick up my crayons.”

             “Why not?”

“Because I want to go out and play!”

“I’m not going to pick up my crayons!” Just then, Emily’s dad came into the kitchen.

“Uh-oh! If you don’t pick up your crayons, the Drarians will come!”

             “The Drarians? Who are they?”

“The Drarians are look like kittens, but they’re much scarier than jaguars! At night they creep into houses, stealing any crayons little monkeys leave out!” Emily shuddered. She thought jaguars were very scary!

“He’s right! Once they have the crayons, they write all over the walls!”

“It’s true! Sometimes they write on living room walls, then say the little monkey did it, so she’ll get in trouble with her parents!”

“Other times, they sneak into little monkeys’ bedrooms and draw things they hate on the walls!”

“She’s right! Imagine jaguars, Brussels sprouts, teeth with cavities, needles for shots, and scraped knees all over your walls!”

Emily shuddered again. This didn’t like sound fun at all! Forgetting for a moment about going outside, she began drawing someone who could get rid of the Drarians. When her picture was done, she showed it to her dad.

“This is a wizard who will get rid of those Drarians!”

             “Oh, yeah? What’s his name?”

“Keltar. He will put a spell on my crayons so they will come to life! The crayons will chase the evil Drarians away! Then when I draw, all my pictures will come to life!”

“I see. But I bet Keltar can’t get rid of Bezder!”

             “Who’s Bezder?”

“Bezdar is a monster who likes to eat crayons. If they’re outside the box, he can smell them from miles away. Inside the box, their scent is masked.”

“Your dad’s right. Crayon boxes were specifically invented to protect crayons from Bezder, but when the crayons are out, he’ll eat them!”

             Emily quickly drew another picture.

“Not if Magenta finds the crayons!”

             “Who’s Magenta?”

“She’s a good witch. All monsters are scared of her, so she can chase Bezder away! Then she will take all my crayons and give them to a needy little monkey.” Emily had learned about helping little monkeys who were less lucky than her at school.

“Oh, really? How will you survive without your crayons?”

“I won’t have to! If I give them away, Magenta will reward me!”

              “With what?”

“All kinds of stuff! A new bike, lots of candy, all the bananas I can eat, and of course, a new box of crayons!”

“And she won’t do those things if you pick them up?”

              “Nope!”

“Not even if we ask her to?”

“You can’t ask her to, Mom! You don’t know where she lives!”

“Oh, I have my ways of finding these things out! And I bet Grandma does, too.”

“I think your mom’s right. If she or I sees Magenta or Keltar, we will tell them to do all of those things if you pick up your crayons.”

              “Promise?”

              “Promise.”

“And if we see the Prism Fairies, we will tell them to come and make more crayons for you.”

“Of colors I’ve never dreamed of?”

“Of course! If we don’t see them, maybe Grandma will. We’ll tell her to keep a look out before she comes tomorrow.”

“Your mom means it, but only if you pick up your crayons.”

“That’s right. If you don’t, we won’t look for your magical friends.”

“Okay! I will pick them up!” With wonderful thoughts of being helped by her colorful friends, she did, and soon, she went out to play.

Here we say fixtures, in the US they say schedule (they also say it like skedual, not shedul). Anyway, here is the blog that alerted me to the new schedule, released on Thursday* : Broncos 2013 Schedule.

These look like Eastern Time, ie., New York, -4 hours from here. So the 1pm games are at 5pm, the 4pm ones are at 8pm for us, those 8:30pm games are definitely past my bedtime for a Sunday. Doesn’t look like Sky have put together their listings yet, so not sure how many of these games we can actually watch – so we might be internetting it a bit. Oh, on NFL.com, I think you can pay to follow your team, but only watch live, so still doesn’t help us much.

The standout fixture is obviously the first one, against those bastard Ravens. Daniel’s opinion :: “In theory Katherincita it looks like an easy schedule.”

With the 2013 NFL Draft around the corner, I wanted to create a mock draft for each team in the AFC

With the 2013 NFL Draft around the corner, I wanted to create a mock draft for each team in the AFC South, so I decided to start with the team that struggled the most in 2013: the Jacksonville Jaguars. It’s no secret the Jaguars are going to need to have a really good draft in order to contend for the playoffs after a lack of free agency movement. But with only seven picks, it will be a very difficult task.

1st Round – 2nd Overall: QB Geno Smith, West Virginia

The Jaguars are going to have a lot of options at the 2nd overall spot. There are a lot of defensive players that could be taken here by the Jags, but I feel they’ll ultimately go with the #1 quarterback in the draft Geno Smith. The Jaguars have made it no secret that they plan to draft a quarterback in this year’s draft, so why not get the best one. If they really want to rebuild the franchise with new owner Shad Khan and head coach Gus Bradley, getting a franchise quarterback is the first step.

2nd Round – 33rd Overall – OT Melenik Watson, Florida State

After getting their franchise quarterback, the Jaguars now look to solidify the right tackle position. Cameron Bradfield cannot be your starting right tackle when the 2013 season kicks off if you want any chance of winning games.

3rd Round – 64th Overall – CB DJ Hayden, Houston

With Aaron Ross, Derek Cox, and Rashean Mashis departing via free agency, the Jags are wildly thin at the cornerback position. This pick has to a no-brainer. You cannot have Mike Harris as your best cornerback going into 2013. Opposing quarterbacks will have a field day every time they face the Jaguars if they don’t do something soon.

4th Round – 98th Overall – DE John Simon – Ohio State

Last year, Andre Branch was selected to help the defensive end position get more sacks. Unfortunately, he didn’t even come close to doing that. I’m not completely writing him off, and the Jaguars shouldn’t either. however, with the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year still on the board, the Jaguars need to pounce.

5th Round – 135th Overall – CB Tharold Simon, LSU

I noted earlier how weak the Jaguars secondary is, so adding another cornerback isn’t such a bad idea, especially when a cornerback from LSU is still on the board in the fifth round.

6th Round – 169th Overall – SS Robert Lester, Alabama

The Jaguars continue to add depth to a very weak secondary that lost safety Dawan Landry early in free agency.

7) 7th Round – 208th Overall – TE Nick Kasa, Colorado

Jaguars pick up a 6’6 tight end to plug-in behind Mercedes Lewis.

So it’s great to not work but it has its own set of dangers. You will do nothing with your time; you will sit at a desk and jerk off all day while it’s 73 degrees and sunny outside and people are walking around with interesting stories and the great books of the world sit ignored on the shelf of a library that’s within walking distance. In your own home you have musical instruments, you have a machine that can teach you any language in the world, but the machine also shows you young Thai girls choking on big veiny dicks and I don’t need to tell you which one you end up picking. There is a whole other country, another culture, another language right next door; mountains and deserts and jungles– jungles! With jaguars in them! Toltecs in those crazy blankets with faces like temple carvings selling fruit in some high mountain pass, dark eyed girls and cheap beer. But you’re too scared to go to it. You could be kidnapped. Kidnapped away from what, jerking off? Arrested? Your life is a prison. The difference between this apartment and Mexican jail is I have a slightly better toilet.

Within your own town there are places you’ve never seen that you could walk to. Blocks of crazy old time mansions walled in by ghettos out of a 1992 hip hop video. Within your own state there are volcanoes out past the high desert; there are flowers in the Mojave now for one week, it’s half a tank of gas. You don’t do it. You jerk off. You jerk off and then you don’t go out to bars that are on your own street filled with interesting people on a Tuesday night. You’re not horny so who cares. You have the thing that people dream of, that you dreamed of, and you waste it. Meanwhile you are exploring and conquering distant lands, solving mysteries, taming passions and slaying beasts on your Xbox.

Bad timing with other people. Emily was unemployed the whole time you were employed. Always saying let’s take a few days off and go to Big Sur and sit in the hot spring, listen to the redwoods creak like old ships. Let’s go to some desert town and watch lizards scamper over white sand. I can’t, I have to work. Now I don’t have to work; she has to work. Nikol was unemployed the whole time I was employed. She got a job literally the week after I lost mine. Otherwise it might have been let’s make videos, let’s make podcasts, let’s collaborate on something. Nikol is internet famous so it might have gone somewhere. She would have had new ideas. There’s only so much you can write about jerking off. Before it was I can’t, I’m working; now she’s working.

Imagine if I were unemployed when she had cancer. She had to take the bus to chemo treatments, and back. The Los Angeles bus system is like– if point A and point B aren’t just a stretch apart on the same street, you might as well be traveling from Pakistan to Peru on a donkey. She had to take the bus back for hours and hours pumped full of chemo chemicals, burned and irradiated– if the timing had been good I could have given her a fucking ride! I could have held her hand. Instead she was alone. Jesus. Timing.

But aside from that, I still haven’t learned Spanish, helped a recently released prisoner learn to read, written a novel, perfected J.S. Bach’s Prelude for Violin in E Major as transcribed for lute by the composer himself. I have jerked off. Not even in the way I’ve dreamed of jerking off– I’ve always wanted an artificial pussy. But I’m never in the artificial pussy store and horny at the same time.

All these things are true, but: the best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago. The second best time is today. You get depressed when you think of all the things you fucked up but you forget: you aren’t dead. You’re just sedated, and all it’s gonna take to snap you out of it is one moment of deciding to go for it. How about now.

Guadeloupe is an island of stunning beauty, with miles of ocean and expansive beaches you might think the island is nothing extraordinary compared to its counterparts. You’d be mistaken! Guadeloupe is the ‘wildlife island’, with everything from tortoises to great whites, killer whales to woodpeckers, 3ft iguanas to dolphins.

1. Guadeloupe National Park – Basse Terre.

This park is the biggest on any of the islands, with trails that can last anywhere from an hour to a full day. Inside there are three waterfalls and three different hiking trails based on difficulty. It is also handicapped accessible and has signs written in braille on the safe paths. The park features a volcano, streams, mountains, dense forests, canyons and as previously mentioned, waterfalls. So we recommend packing a bathing suit, a jacket and a picnic! Make sure to bring water bottles. Cost – €1,60 entrance fee.

A historical view point, Pointe des Chateaux offers views that can’t be missed. Surrounded by turquoise seas and rugged coasts it’s a perfect spot to capture the beauty Guadeloupe has to offer. You can take a 5 minute walk up to the cross to enhance the experience, or you can simply walk along the beaches and enjoy hand-made passion fruit and coconut ice cream.

The A-State Red Wolves (19-14, 6-6 Sun Belt, 13-6 Home) face the South Alabama Jaguars (24-10, 7-5 S

The A-State Red Wolves (19-14, 6-6 Sun Belt, 13-6 Home) face the South Alabama Jaguars (24-10, 7-5 Sun Belt, 9-6 Away) in a weekend series that boasts of contrasts on the mound and at the plate. The Red Wolves enter this match-up with an RPI of 91 and a strength of schedule ranked 97th against teams with a combined winning percentage of .542. The Jags travel in with a 23 RPI and the 51st ranked strength of schedule against teams with a combined winning percentage of .543.

In the series last season, the Red Wolves swept South Alabama in Jonesboro. South Alabama scored 1 run in each game and A-State out-scored them 16-3 in the series sweep. Daniel Wright allowed 1 earned run over 7 innings in the Saturday game that A-State won 6-1; John Koch pitched 2 scoreless innings; Logan Uxa went 2 for 10 with 3 runs, 2 RBI; Claude Johnson went 5 for 11South Alabama’s Jordan Patterson went 2 for 11 with 0 runs and 0 RBI; Nolan Early went 2 for 8 with an RBI; Dustin Dalken went 0 for 5 with a run scored. Jarron Cito allowed 6 earned runs in 4 1/3 innings.

South Alabama has been ranked in the National Collegiate Baseball Writer’s Top 30 poll and did receive votes for the poll last week. A-State was receiving votes earlier in the season after a hot start.

South Alabama got off to a 22-4 start to the season then was swept at Florida Atlantic and have gone 2-6 in their last 8 ball games. The Jaguars average 6.8 runs scored per game against 4.8 runs allowed per game on the season for a +2.0 runs per game margin. In Sun Belt competition the Jags have averaged 6.1 runs scored per game while allowing 5.2 runs per game for a +0.9 runs per game margin. In conference they’ve played 6 home games and 3 in Troy’s traditionally offense friendly ball park. At FAU they mustered 3 runs scored per game.

A-State started 7-2 then lost a key component of their offense in Zach George for the season. Since then the Red Wolves have gone 12-12. The Red Wolves were averaging 7.1 runs scored per game at that point and have averaged 5.0 runs scored per game since, a 29.5% drop off. Granted, the Red Wolves have played better competition since, they have scored 10 runs only once (at Missouri) after scoring 10 runs 4 times in the first 9 games with George in the line-up.

A-State allows 4.5 runs per game on the season while scoring 5.5 runs per game for a +1.0 margin. In the Sun Belt the Red Wolves have allowed 4.6 runs per game while scoring 4.8 runs per game for a +0.2 margin.

This is one of my articles from early March 2013 that was on sportezo.com but I have managed to save

This is one of my articles from early March 2013 that was on sportezo.com but I have managed to save.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have released starting Safety Dawan Landry and Cornerback Aaron Ross.

Landry signed a five-year $27.5 million with the Jaguars back in 2011, but has been released after just two years in Jacksonville despite playing all 32 games for the Jaguars during that two-year stretch. Landry, 30, recorded 197 tackles, 3 interceptions and one forced fumble during his time in Jacksonville

Aaron Ross, also 30, signed a three-year deal back in 2012 but after just one season has also been released. Ross struggled throughout the 2012 campaign, starting only nine games after being benched twice during the season, and did not play after week thirteen whilst only recording 46 tackles. Between Ross and Landry, the Jags will save $6.2 million.

The Jaguars finished 22nd in pass defense and had a dreadful 2-14 record last year and new Head Coach Gus Bradley will implement a system in Jacksonville like the highly successful shutdown scheme he ran back in Seattle. That system required tall, young and powerful corners like Brandon Browner and Richard Sherman who have the size Landry and Ross don’t. The corners were also accompanied by strong tacklers at safety who had the ability to lay out some hard hits too.

Jaguars all time franchise interception record holder Rashean Mathis is also on his way out of Jacksonville. Mathis, 33, who has played for the Jaguars for all 10 years of his career has missed 11 games over the past two seasons and has come to the end of his contract with the Jaguars. Jags GM Dave Caldwell informed Mathis he would not be re-signed earlier this week.

Cornerback Derek Cox’s injury riddled career in Jacksonville could also be over as his contract has run out and it seems unlikely that the Jags will offer him a contract. Despite missing 17 games in three years through injury, Cox has been productive with 12 interceptions in 45 career starts and his agent, David Sullivan says he expects a “vigorous market” for the 26 year old defensive back.

That leaves Kevin Rutland and Mike Harris as the only corners under contract in Jacksonville who have started for a combined 11 games in their careers. This complete overhaul at defensive back could directly impact the Jags’ draft strategy as they could possibly select Alabama cornerback Dee Milliner with the No. 2 overall pick in this year’s draft, but with a deep cornerback class, it is also possible that the Jaguars will trade down and collect more picks in later rounds.

Possible Free Agent targets at defensive back for the Jaguars could be Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie who looks to be on his way out of Philadelphia. DRC can be inconsistent at times, especially tackling, but is a natural athlete and with Bradley helping him he could improve his technique and become one of the better corners in the game and could come in at quite a low cost. Other possible targets include Aqib Talib who is an excellent corner but has had some off-field problems and Sean Smith of the Miami Dolphins who many see as the top available cornerback in Free Agency. Smith won’t be cheap but the Jaguars have plenty of cap space which they need to fill with playmakers and Smith could be a great fit.

2013 NFL Mock draft version 2.0 by Mads Bugge. The picks from the previous version is posted underneath the 2.0 pick.

*** Original draft order – 1st round only – Trades not allowed ***
__________________________________________

#1 Kansas City Chiefs

Luke Joeckel | Offensive tackle | Texas A&M Aggies
Version 1.0 pick: Luke Joeckel, OT.

Nothing has changed here. New head coach Andy Reid needs a stud left tackle to protect his new QB investment, Alex Smith.

#2 Jacksonville Jaguars

Geno Smith | Quarterback | West Virginia Mountaineers
Version 1.0 pick: Dion Jordan, OLB.

Blaine Gabbert is arguably the worst starting QB in the league. Geno Smith is the best QB in this draft class.

#3 Oakland Raiders

Sharrif Floyd | Defensive tackle | Florida Gators
Version 1.0 pick: Sharrif Floyd, DT.

Same pick for Oakland. Floyd makes a ton of sense. He’s a machine and the Raiders desperately need to upgrade their interior defensive line.

#4 Philadelphia Eagles

Dion Jordan | Outside linebacker | Oregon Ducks
Version 1.0 pick: Eric Fisher, OT.

Former Oregon head coach Chip Kelly has replace Andy Reid and he would probably love to be reunited with Jordan who was unstoppable at Oregon.

#5 Detroit Lions

Ezekiel Ansah | Defensive end | Brigham Young Cougars
Version 1.0 pick: Dee Milliner, CB.

The Lions lost Cliff Avril to Seahawks. That’s a huge loss so they need someone to replace him.

#6 Cleveland Browns

Dee Milliner | Cornerback | Alabama Crimson Tide
Version 1.0 pick: Ezekiel Ansah, DE.

Joe Haden and Dee Milliner. That could potentially be the best cornerback duo in the NFL.

#7 Arizona Cardinals

Eric Fisher | Offensive tackle | Central Michigan Chippewas
Version 1.0 pick: Lane Johnson, OT.

Arizona still pick up an elite offensive tackle, but now they get one who some experts believe is the best OT in the entire draft class.

#8 Buffalo Bills

Matt Barkley | Quarterback | USC Trojans
Version 1.0 pick: Geno Smith, QB.

Poor Bills. They get their quarterback, but they have to “settle” for Barkley since Jaguars took Geno Smith.

#9 New York Jets

Star Lotulelei | Defensive tackle | Utah Utes
Version 1.0 pick: Star Lotulelei, DT.

Jets will be excited about getting Lotulelei. They need to put pressure on Tom Brady and Star is a monster in the trenches.

#10 Tennessee Titans

Jonathan Cooper | Guard | North Carolina Tar Heels
Version 1.0 pick: Jonathan Cooper, OG.

Same pick for Titans as well. Chris Johnson won’t even cross the line of scrimmage if Titans don’t upgrade their O-line.

#11 San Diego Chargers

Lane Johnson | Offensive tackle | Oklahoma Sooners
Version 1.0 pick: Barkevious Mingo, OLB.

King Dunlap is currently San Diego’s starting left tackle. I rest my case…

#12 Miami Dolphins

Barkevious Mingo | Outside linebacker | Louisiana State Tigers
Version 1.0 pick: Tavon Austin, WR.

The Dolphins needs a cornerback, but there is great CB depth in this draft class. The three elite OT talents are gone, so Miami picks Mingo to help out Cameron Wake with the pass rush.

#13 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Xavier Rhodes | Cornerback | Florida State Seminoles
Version 1.0 pick: Xavier Rhodes, CB.

Buccaneers still gets the second best cornerback in the draft. A big, physical presence in their secondary.

#14 Carolina Panthers

Sheldon Richardson | Defensive tackle | Missouri Tigers
Version 1.0 pick: Sheldon Richardson, DT.

This is still a great value pick for the Panthers. With Star and Floyd gone, Richardson is by far the best DT left.

#15 New Orleans Saints

Bjoern Werner | Defensive end | Florida State Seminoles
Version 1.0 pick: Bjoern Werner, DE.

Nothing new here either. The Saints needs to upgrade their pass rush and Werner is the best defensive player left on the board.

#16 St. Louis Rams

Tavon Austin | Wide receiver | West Virginia Mountaineers
Version 1.0 pick: Kenny Vaccaro, S.

Rams will be very excited about getting Tavon Austin. They lost Amendola to the Patriots, but now they replace him with one of the fastest and most excited playmakers in the draft.

#17 Pittsburgh Steelers

Jarvis Jones | Outside linebacker | Georgia Bulldogs
Version 1.0 pick: Jarvis Jones, OLB.

No reason to change this pick. James Harrison is gone in Pittsburgh, so they need another pass rusher. Jarvis Jones has Steeler written all over him.

#18 Dallas Cowboys

Chance Warmack | Guard | Alabama Crimson Tide
Version 1.0 pick: Chance Warmack, OG.

Jerry Jones will consider taking safety Kenny Vaccaro here, but he has to think about protecting his $108 million investment, QB Tony Romo.

#19 New York Giants

Kenny Vaccaro | Safety | Texas Longhorns
Version 1.0 pick: Alec Ogletree, ILB.

The Giants lost Kenny Phillips to the Eagles. He needs to be replaced and Vaccaro is a great pickup at #19.

#20 Chicago Bears
Alec Ogletree | Inside linebacker | Georgia Bulldogs
Version 1.0 pick: Manti Te’o, ILB.

The Bears still manage to replace Urlacher, but with a more reliable player.

#21 Cincinnati Bengals

D.J Fluker | Offensive tackle | Alabama Crimson Tide
Version 1.0 pick: D.J Fluker, OT.

Same pick here. Andre Smith’s future in Cincinnati is uncertain, and no matter what he decides to do, they still need OL help.

#22 St. Louis Rams

Arthur Brown, Inside linebacker, Kansas State Wildcats
Version 1.0 pick: Cordarrelle Patterson, WR.

The Rams picked up Tavon Austin with the 16th pick, so they use this pick to improve their defense instead.

#23 Minnesota Vikings

Cordarrelle Patterson | Wide receiver | Tennessee Volunteers
Version 1.0 pick: Keenan Allen, WR.

Vikings still choose a receiver, but they get arguably the best wide receiver in the class now. This is a steal at #23.

#24 Indianapolis Colts

Datone Jones | Defensive end | UCLA Bruins
Version 1.0 pick: Datone Jones, DE.

The Colts have a ton of holes, especially on defense. Datone Jones will give them a pass rushing threat to replace Dwight Freeney.

#25 Minnesota Vikings

Sylvester Williams | Defensive tackle | North Carolina Tar Heels
Version 1.0 pick: Sylvester Williams, DT.

The Vikings improved their offense with Patterson two picks earlier. Know they strengthen the defensive side of the ball.

#26 Green Bay Packers

Eddie Lacy | Runningback | Alabama Crimson Tide
Version 1.0 pick: Eddie Lacy, RB.

The Packers aren’t exactly known for their potent running game, but Lacy is a physical back who does it all. He could give the Packers offense an extra dimension.

#27 Houston Texans

DeAndre Hopkins | Wide receiver | Clemson Tigers
Version 1.0 pick: DeAndre Hopkins, WR.

The Texans have a Super Bowl caliber football team, but they need a threat across from Andre Johnson. Right now Johnson is the only WR opposing teams have to keep their eye on. Hopkins is almost as physical as Andre and he can catch a cold in the desert.

#28 Denver Broncos

Tank Carradine | Defensive end | Florida State Seminoles
Version 1.0 pick: Tank Carradine, DE.

#29 New England Patriots

Kawann Short | Defensive tackle | Purdue Boilermakers
Version 1.0 pick: Desmond Trufant, CB.

The Patriots’ pass rush is not impressive. Vince Wilfork is a monster, but he needs help on the defensive line.

#30 Atlanta Falcons

Desmond Trufant | Cornerback | Washington Huskies
Version 1.0 pick: Arthur Brown, OLB.

Falcons have lost two of their best cornerbacks, Robinson and Grimes. They desperately need a corner.

#31 San Fransisco 49ers

Matt Elam | Safety | Florida Gators
Version 1.0 pick: Tyler Eifert, TE.

The 49ers lost Dashon Goldson via free agency. He needs to be replaced. Eric Reid from LSU is also an option here.

#32 Baltimore Ravens

Manti Te’o | Inside linebacker | Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Version 1.0 pick: Matt Elam, S.

Harbaugh did not look happy with Te’o's 40-yard dash time, but he’s still worth a shot when you watch him on tape. Ray Lewis is gone and needs to be replaced with someone with similar vision and tenacity.

Belize is a country located on the north eastern coast of Central America. Belize is bordered to the north by Mexico, to the south and west by Guatemala and to the east by the Caribbean Sea.

Belize is known for its September Celebrations, and is the birthplace of chewing gum and Punta Rock, and before you ask to see a picture of Punta Rock expecting it to be similar to the peppermint flavoured stuff sold in English seaside resorts, because the original chewing gum was peppermint flavoured, I have to tell you that Punta Rock is a form of rock music.

On August 10, 2010 the government of Belize declared that 7,000 acres of key Jaguar habitat between Belize City and Belmopan, would be a protected area which is good news for Jaguars in the region but not everywhere else sadly.

Belize is the only country in the area where English is the official language, although Kriol and Spanish are more commonly spoken which might explain this sign, but then again…

With the NFL draft coming up on April 25th, I can’t help but wonder where college break out quarterback Geno Smith will be throwing this coming up season. I have a few different teams in mind and here they are.Justin K. Aller/Getty Images

In my opinion he is probably the best quarterback coming into the draft. He’s super quick, has a fast release, and is very accurate in the short passing game. Smith had an incredible 71.2 completion percentage in 2012 which is almost as good as Robert Griffin III’s 72.4 percentage in his 2011 college season. Smith also threw for 4,205 yards, 42 touchdowns, only 6 picks and had a passer rating of 163.9. And course everyone knows him by his monster 656 yard, 8 touchdown game against Baylor last year. Let’s look at potential landing spots for him in this year’s draft.

The Kansas City Chiefs have the 1st pick this year. With acquiring Alex Smith over the off season, I don’t see them in need of a quarterback, however they could bring him in to battle for the starting spot. I don’t believe they will draft him, even though he did meet with them. The Chiefs are going to focus on their offensive line.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have the 2nd pick and with Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne at the quarterback position, they won’t go for Smith and focus on their defense.

The Oakland Raiders have the 3rd pick and this is an interesting one. They recently acquired Matt Flynn for a pair of draft picks from the Seahawks. Will they look at Geno Smith as a better candidate than Flynn? I can’t answer that question and I don’t see it as possible as it was a week ago, but it’s possible. They’ll most likely draft to strengthen their defense.

The Philadelphia Eagles have the 4th pick. This is the place I believe Geno Smith will overall land. Michael Vick struggled last year and got to sit the bench the last few games of the season while Nick Foles got his time to play. He didn’t play too well but in the conditions he was in, I’m not sure how he could have. I believe Chip Kelly will go after Smith to start over and rebuild his quarterback situation. He did coach at Oregon and had a fast, high powered offense there so Smith could potentially be his piece to the Eagle’s puzzle.

The next few spots belong to the Lions, Browns, Cardinals, Bills, Jets and Titans. I don’t believe he will land in any of those cities, especially Arizona since they just received Carson Palmer from Oakland. If Smith doesn’t go to any of the top four teams in the draft, I don’t think he will go until the 2nd round. And when that comes he will most definitely go to one of those four teams. I’m just not a believer in any other teams who have their quarterback positions on lock to waste a pick on a backup when they could strengthen other parts of their offense or defense.

I’m really looking forward to the 2013 draft and the new season. Where do you think Geno Smith will go? Thanks for reading!
