There’s an inner geek living in our rib cage. Mine isn’t addicted to video games, nor fiction books, but dreams to be doing some serious galaxy hopping space traveling or just be a humble marine biologist. It’ll great to combine space or marine elements into artistic creatives. I think we sort of agree that the space-type (galaxies, stars, dust clouds etc.), although still awesome, has been very overdone. But coming to the latter, these guys from Morphologic Studios is genius.

“MORPHOLOGIC is a scientific art endeavor led by marine biologist Colin Foord and musician Jared McKay. With the aquarium as our primary medium, we explore the artistic possibilities of living coral reef organisms via HD videography and site-specific artworks.

Our laboratory/studio is a state certified aquaculture facility perpetuating marine life within the confines of downtown Miami. Working in conjunction with biologists from the Université de Provence in Marseille, France, we are developing a living genetic database, aquaculture techniques, and biological assays of coral species.”

Whoaaa… my inner geek is squealing with joy already. I’m not showing their works today, but some of their lab vids, go to their site more and of course do check out their works! I’ve previously chanced upon their older clips and made an entry here.

We live in an amazing world with endless possibilities. Anything tremendously colossal or infinitesimally microscopic can exist.
