If my jean is not falling just right onto my dunks, it throws off the whole outfit.  Ladies i am becoming a huge fan of color jeans and jeans  mixed with lace. Peep the inside for more of the hottest men and women jeans for the winter.

Wanted to watch Michigan Basketball before going to my grandpas, can’t find the remote. Up until about an hour and a half ago, I didn’t know if I’d be getting Thanksgiving this year. I am so I am now happy. Yum, yum, yum…turkey & mashed potatoes. That’s all I really eat, I like the beige food.

Once I get out of my serious state of hell, I’m going to give my closet a serious overhaul. I have a lot of cute clothes. And cute shoes. But I never wear them. I think part of my problem is that my body shape is weird and clothes look weird on me. Like, I can never find a pair of jeans that fits me right. I find a pair that is the right length, but too big or too small in the hips. Or I find a pair that fits perfect in the waist but is too long or too short. And the rest of the time, I find a pair that fit the hips right, is the perfect length, but legs are just way too baggy! I have no luck with jeans. I just settle for whatever looks the best out of what I’ve picked out and go with it…leaving my super cute shirts and shoes for another day when I do find a perfect pair of jeans. The pair I’m wearing right now are pretty good, actually, they’re still a little baggy in the thighs, but I like them, and they’re dark wash and pretty dress so I can wear them with fancier tops…love, love it.

I think I have a pretty good eye for fashion and I love fashion magazines and shopping…I just hate putting it on myself. I think it’s my low self-esteem?

I’m attempting to make a “portfolio” website…I am failing miserably.

On Saturday, we had a get-together at Centrepoint, Crystal Jade Korean Ginseng Chicken & BBQ. Good food, good company and good deal!

However, prior to that…we were kinda early so, the boyfriend and I were brooding around the mall, aimlessly. Too poor to shop, too tired to walk. Afterall, we had to work on that Saturday. Bad habits never die young (or probably not at all), I saw a huge 80% sign at Level 1!! Yipee! Did I see Levi’s sale?!

Of course I did and so here it is:

At a time of year when I would usually be hitting the beach, and complaining about the unbearable heat, I am instead wearing 43698745684567 layers of clothing and unable to move my fingers properly cos I’m so sodding cold. This English weather is gonna take some getting used to, and Winter hasnt even started properly yet.

So in honour of my freezing my real ass off, I thought I would show off the scrummy warm clothes my av has been wearing for the last couple of days. The look started with the awesome new cardigan from Bare Rose, Usakko. You get blue,brown,green,grey and pink in the pack, insane value, and it’s so warm and cuddly looking!

Of course the perfect hair was one of my all time faves from Mirai Style, Fuka. The hat is texture change so you get loads of options, I dont think it left my head for very long last winter Aaaaaaaaand the shoes. Sasy had tp’d me to a store months ago called HOC. My vivid memory from that trip was the ridiculously cheap price of all the shoes. My runners, 16 colour change, 40L. Mhmm, that was no typo. Haven’t seen much of Christina Aguillera lately. She’s been hiding raising her family or working on new material I guess. She still looks pretty hot though. She is seen here shooting some video or something wearing a nice pair of tight jeans and sexy high heels. It’s good to see her back out. I’ve always thought she was fun to look at. Couldn’t care less about her entertainment abilities but she does a nice job decorating herself and has sexy legs that she mounts in high heels.

Quantity should never be picked over quality. A great wardrobe should never be full of clothes it should hold only essential key pieces. A wardrobe should be refreshed for the summer and winter season. The essential capsule wardrobe should contain these basics;

Denim Skinny Jeans from Republic

An everyday good quality leather handbag. Big enough for all the essentials.

A great pair of denim jeans that will go with almost anything!

One pair of trainers and a pair of good quality winter boots that will give your feet a rest from high heels.

And of course a pair of flats that will look good and take you from day to evening without the blisters!

Of course you need a pair of really nice heels too! Ones that you love and will make you feel a million dollars whenever you wear them.

So that’s your footwear sorted. No more than 4 pairs of shoes!

With your jeans you need a small selection of really great tops. Tops that work well for the day and the evening. 3 0r 4 tops should do it.

Two cardigans, cardigans are way more versatile than jumpers and will keep you warm on colder days.

So what about a party outfit to go with those high heels? You can’t go wrong with a Little Black Dress. And a great clutch bag to add a splash of colour.

Add a winter coat and you should have a basic wardrobe which you can add to as the months go by. Chances are you have enough clothes stashed inside your closet to clothe a small family, but do you have the right clothes? The quality pieces that will last season after season? Maybe you like the full looking wardrobe or perhaps you are fed up with the usual wardrobe junk food and want some thoroughbred outfits. Personally I want a wardrobe filled with clothes I really, really love.

I’ve always wanted to do this but somehow never got down to it. Every time I mustered the time/energy to document my breaking-in process, my denims were well broken in already.

Well not today.

Today is Day Zero of my APC NS – fresh from APC Underground. Hard as cardboard and ready for some stacking/honeycombing/whiskering/fading action. It’s interesting how most of the online sizing advice that I got pointed me towards a size 29 but when I tried it on myself, it was a size 30 that fit. Seriously guys, some of us actually want to have kids some day.

M named my shoes today – 1, 2 buckle my shoe! I love it. I also love that this blog is inspiring me to try new things. I would have never worn the plaid shirt with the striped sweater before and I love how it turned out. I love how it has been giving me fresh eyes to the pieces in my closet that I already have. So THANK YOU to all my stylish readers and bloggers that inspire me. This is a perfect rainy day work outfit. I hate that we had to work half a day today and am excited to get on the road tomorrow morning. I am not sure if there will be an outfit post or not. We will see. I do hope that everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!

I have noticed a trend. Very astute of me, I agree, but I’m not talking about clothes, or internet fads or what have you. I’m talking about deciding; more and more, I’m coming across people who can’t decide, can’t make a choice. Whether it’s which brand of eggs, or bacon at the supermarket, or between this shirt and that sweater, or bigger decisions, like which course to take in school, what career would be nice, people seem paralyzed by the choices confronting them.

Now, I’ve never had trouble deciding between options, and I rarely regret any choices I’ve made, and I think it’s because I focus on what I gain, instead of what I lose.

People fear losing out on something. They see some options, and while deciding they come to the conclusion that no matter what they pick, something will be lost. As an example: you’re shopping for some trendy clothes and you pick out three pairs of jeans. One is blue, one is purple and one is black. First, personal preference comes in: you like blue. Immediately, the first pair are looking like winners. But then you think: well, I have a lot of blue jeans already, but no purple jeans. So now blue and purple are tied. Then: well, the black pair could look good with the white shirt that I like, plus it could be kind of dressy, so I could wear it to some parties.

Now, all three are tied for first, and you’re stuck because no matter what you pick, something is lost. Each has a unique characteristic that the others don’t. So how to choose?

Try to focus not on what you lose, but instead of what you gain. If you have a lot of blue jeans, don’t pick the first pair. If you like flashy colours, and you get a kick out of looking different, pick the purple. If you get into a lot of semi-dressy situations, pick the black, because they will come in handy more often.

You can’t foresee the future, so debating on what you might lose is a no win battle. Coming up with a specific scenario where you might need a certain pair of jeans that you don’t have is easy, but it won’t help you decide. Coming up with a variety of scenarios where you will need a pair of jeans that you do have is less easy, but more helpful.

Basically, the pair of jeans that could be useful in the most ways is the winner.

In this case, I would go with the black jeans, because I have a lot of blue jeans, so another pair is redundant. Purple is one of my favorite colours, but my dress code isn’t so flashy, so they wouldn’t get a lot of mileage. I have a lot of situations where looking fairly respectable is a good thing, so the black pair will be most helpful, therefore they are the pair I would pick.

If you ignore what you might lose, and focus on what you will gain, deciding is easy.

This applies to anything, and always remember that if you really can’t decide, or more than one of the options are useful, pick more than one. There’s no rule forcing you to do things one at a time. If you get home, and you realize that the purple (or blue) jeans are too good to pass up, then get them.

Just because you’ve picked two things (or more) doesn’t mean you can’t decide. Just make sure you can afford it, monetarily or otherwise.
