Over the next several weeks, we’re going to look at several different positions (I can’t yet promise

Over the next several weeks, we’re going to look at several different positions (I can’t yet promise all) to identify the best players wearing each jersey number at each position. If this goes as planned, we’ll then compile a list of the best player wearing each jersey number in the league.

If you have quibbles, or want to add someone I forgot, leave a comment and we’ll update this post. And please have patience – this is a big job.

We started this project with wide receivers in this post. Now we move to tight ends. In general, tight ends wear numbers between 80 and 89, but several also wear numbers in the 40s.

40 – Jim Kleinsasser, Vikings – It’s hard to tell whether Kleinsasser is a true tight end or more of a fullback/H-back, but he plays on the line enough to earn the nod here. Kleinsasser doesn’t get the ball much, but he remains a solid blocker deep into a solid career.

41 – Spencer Havner, Packers – OK, so Havner is the only tight end wearing 41. But we have to give a few props to a player who was playing linebacker until about three or four weeks ago and now suddenly has three touchdowns in the past two games.

44 – Dallas Clark, Colts – Clark is probably the best receiving tight end in the league at the moment. He’s not just reliable – he’s explosive down the middle of the field. He’s emerged as the complement to Reggie Wayne in the Colts’ prolific passing game, and Clark is just now hitting his prime.

45 – Leonard Pope, Chiefs – The former Cardinals starter landed in K.C. this year with a new jersey number. Pope has never played up to his immense physical gifts, but he is still a threat simply because of his size and speed.

46 – Daniel Fells, Rams – Fells is the only tight end wearing 46, but like Havner he has three touchdowns on the season. Of course, one came on a fake field goal, and the other two came from Kyle Boller in one game on the same play call, but three is three. Other notable 46: Delanie Walker, 49ers

47 – Chris Cooley, Redskins – Cooley is hurt at the moment, but he has proven to be a terrific pass catcher in Washington in recent years despite playing with subpar quarterbacks throughout his tenure. He’s also a serviceable blocker and a fan favorite because of his outsized personality. He’s one of the few home-grown players who has really paid off for the Redskins. Other notable 47s: Jeff King, Panthers, Billy Bajema, Rams; Travis Beckum, Giants; Gijon Robinson, Colts

80 – Bo Scaife, Titans – Scaife is the Titans’ most important receiver because he has great size and provides a great interior target. Tennessee recognized his value when it tagged Scaife as its franchise player this past offseason. That’s enough reason to give Scaife the nod at 80 over Zach Miller of the Raiders, who’s a great young receiver. Other notable 80: Derek Schouman, Bills

81 – Owen Daniels, Texans – Before he suffered a season-ending knee injury last week, Daniels was the most productive tight end in the league. That marked the third straight season he was one of the league’s most dangerous targets. That’s enough to earn him honors for this number over Minnesota’s Visanthe Shiancoe, who has blossomed as a receiving threat the last two seasons. Other notable 81s: Dustin Keller, Jets; Joey Haynos, Dolphins

82 – Jason Witten, Cowboys – Witten isn’t having his most sterling of seasons, but he has long been one of the league’s two or three elite receiving threats from the tight end position. He may be the receiver Cowboys opponents need to concentrate on stopping most. He’s an All-Pro level tight end, which puts him above young studs Kellen Winslow of the Buccaneers and Greg Olsen of the Bears at this number. Other notable 82s: Alex Smith, Eagles; L.J. Smith, Ravens

83 – Heath Miller, Steelers - Miller is a tall target who can really catch the ball, and that makes him a great mid-field target in a Pittsburgh offense where ball control is still important. Miller is also having a bit of a bounce-back year numbers-wise, which makes it even easier to give him the nod at 83 over the declining Alge Crumpler of Tennessee. Other notable 83: Jeff Dugan, Vikings

84 – Benjamin Watson, Patriots – The Patriots have never seemed completely satisfied with Watson, a former first-round pick, at tight end, but Watson continues to put up good touchdown numbers. He also has the longest touchdown reception in Patriots playoff history, a 63-yarder against Jacksonville in the 2005 season. So he gets the nod over Randy McMichael of the Rams, who has had some decent seasons, and rookie first-rounder Brandon Pettigrew of the Lions. Other notable 84: Robert Royal, Browns

85 – Antonio Gates, Chargers – Gates, who didn’t play football but basketball in college, has been one of the preeminent receiving tight ends in the league over the past decade or so. Injuries have slowed him a step or two, but he’s still really good. One day, Vernon Davis of the 49ers will claim this number, but that won’t happen until Gates retires. Other notable 85: David Thomas, Saints

86 – Todd Heap, Ravens – Heap is another tight end having a renaissance year this season, reminding all of us how good of a receiver he has been in his career. Like Heath Miller, his size is his biggest asset as a receiver. Other notable 86s: Donald Lee, Packers; Fred Davis, Redskins; Daniel Coats, Bengals; Chris Baker, Patriots

87 – Brent Celek, Eagles – Celek had a good game or two before this season, but he has seized his opportunity this season and established himself as a better-than-average receiver at tight end already. He brings an explosiveness to the position that the Eagles never got from L.J. Smith. Other notable 87: Kellen Davis, Bears

88 – Tony Gonzalez, Falcons – T-Gon is another of the classic tight ends of this era, and like Gates he had a basketball background. Gonzalez is still a prolific receiver, and his veteran presence has made the Falcons’ offense much more dangerous. He’s clearly the choice here over Jeremy Shockey of New Orleans and many others. Other notable 88s: JerMichael Finley, Packers; Tony Scheffler, Broncos; Dante Rosario, Panthers; J.P. Foschi, Bengals; Desmond Clark, Bears

89 – Daniel Graham, Broncos- This is a close call between Graham, who’s known more for his blocking than for his receiving, and young tight ends like Kevin Boss of the Giants, John Carlson of Seattle, and Marcedes Lewis of the Jaguars. We’ll give Graham the nod based on the longevity of his career and his blocking prowess. Other notable 89s: Will Heller, Lions; Sean Ryan, Chiefs; Matt Spaeth, Steelers; Ben Patrick, Cardinals; Shawn Nelson, Bills

Marine Harvest Faroe Islands Site Continuous improvement is an essential component of success

Marine Harvest Faroe Islands Site

Continuous improvement is an essential component of successful salmon farming and applying locally gathered information to apply to similar challenges throughout the world is invaluable.

With this in mind, Floyd Cole, Port Hardy Area Production Manager, Jeff King, Engineer, and Rodney Clarke, Manager at Shelter Bay, travelled to the Faroe Islands last fall. The islands are located in the North Atlantic Ocean, approximately halfway between Iceland and Scotland.

“We wanted to see how they (the Faroese) manage rough weather,” said Floyd, commenting that their weather conditions are similar to those found on the North Island. Although BC has stronger tidal currents and higher tides, wind and wave action is comparable.

As a result of the trip, most steel cages in Floyd’s area will be converted to 120m offshore plastic circles, a process that is now underway at Doyle Island. Total cost for the conversion is about $1.5 million dollars, including cages and anchoring.

The offshore plastic circles are just as safe as conventional steel cages but will be different to work with since a boat is needed to travel from cage to cage, said Floyd. Although plastic cages are somewhat common in BC, the new Aqualine cages at Doyle Island are believed to be the first of their kind in BC with the large diameter pipe (450mm) and full perimeter walkways.

The transition to the different cages is expected to be a smooth one, said Floyd, because plastic cages are already used exclusively in Klemtu and, on a more limited basis, in his area. “The existing knowledge within the company will help a lot,” he stated.

Anchoring was the special focus for Jeff. He found the Faroe farms are anchored much the same as BC farms with the exception that they need to allow for high waves. The anchor lines have few metal components which are subject to wear; the lines are left slack to allow movement of the cages in the waves.Rodney’s site faces some of the harshest weather conditions of any active salmon farming site in BC, often experiencing 20 foot waves. He appreciated the opportunity to talk to managers who had experience with plastic cages, an idea that had been under consideration here before the trip.

It was really useful to find out we were making the right decision in going to the plastic cages, Rodney said.

Every farm site they visited is bound by strict bio-security measures. Each staff member has separate clothing that is worn on site only. Interestingly enough, staff don’t stay overnight on any sites. It’s not a long trip to and from the Faroes site, roughly the distance from Campbell River to Quadra Island, said Jeff.

Floyd, Jeff, and Rodney spoke very highly of the warm hospitality shown to them by all the Marine Harvest Faroes staff. This friendliness extended to the sites owned by other companies they visited. The trio was treated to a soccer game between the Faroese national team and the Austrian team in the capital city of Torshavn. They were also were treated to many delicious meals, sampling the fine Faroese cooking.

WHO’S HOT : 1) (QB)Tom Brady – New England Patriots (vs. Tennessee Titans) Why : The Tit

WHO’S HOT :

1) (QB)Tom Brady – New England Patriots (vs. Tennessee Titans)
Why : The Titans are ranked (#31/32) in pass defense, giving up an average of 287.6 yards per game. They have also given up 13 touchdowns to pass attempts this season which is second worse in the NFL, to the Lions 15. The Titans are an unbelievable (0-5) and have had so many problems against the pass due to the early season injuries to (CB)Cortland Finnegan, (CB)Nick Harper, and (S)Vincent Fuller. This week they went out and signed, now journeyman, (CB)Roderick Hood to shore up their unit a bit, that consists of rookies (CB)Ryan Mouton and (CB)Jason McCourty, as well as (CB)Cary Williams who has spent time on the Titans practice squad this season. Look for Brady to exploit them, and owners of (WR)Randy Moss and (WR)Wes Welker will benefit.

2) (RB)Rashard Mendenhall – Pittsburgh Steelers (vs. Cleveland Browns)
Why : The Browns rank dead last (#32/32) in run defense, giving up an average of 170.4 rushing yards per game. They also have given up 8 rushing touchdowns this season, which is second to worst in the league (the Texans have given up 9). There are early reports that (RB)Willie Parker may play in this one but I don’t think it will matter if he does, or doesn’t. Either way Mendenhall should have a big game. He has shown he can be the Steelers #1 back, and if he has a good showing this week, I don’t see how there is any looking back as far as Willie Parker is concerned.

3) (WR)Greg Jennings – Green Bay Packers (vs. Detroit Lions)
Why : The Lions rank (#27/32) in pass defense, giving up an average of 244.6 yards per game. They also have given up a league worst in passing touchdowns which is a whopping 15 total. The Lions can’t seem to decide if (CB)Anthony Henry or (CB)Phillip Buchanon will be their starter. They play musical chairs with those 2 constantly. No consistancy at all. Earlier this week the Lions placed (CB)Eric King on Injured Reserve and signed free agent (CB)DeMarcus Faggins to take his spot on the roster. None of these options will put a stop to a hungry Greg Jennings this week.

4) (TE)Jeff King – Carolina Panthers (@ Tampa Bay Buccaneers)
Why : The Buccaneers rank (#21/32) in pass defense, giving up an average of 227.2 yards per game. They also have given up 12 passing touchdowns on the year, which is third worst in the league. I can say that this pick is a risky one, but it seems to me that Jeff King is becoming someone (QB)Jake Delhomme can rely on more and more with each passing week.

5) (WR)Donnie Avery – St. Louis Rams (@ Jacksonville Jaguars)
Why : My sleeper pick this week is going up against a Jaguars pass defense that ranks (#30/32) in the league, giving up an average of 273 yards per game this season, as well as, 11 touchdowns. (QB)Marc Bulger will be returning as the Rams starter, and looked really good in his short return last week. Donnie Avery will be the Rams #1 receiving option this week, and look for Avery to show this week, that last year was no fluke. This kid has talent!

WHO’S NOT :

1) (QB)Matt Cassel – Kansas City Chiefs (@ Washington Redskins)
Why : The Redskins rank (#3/32) in pass defense, giving up an average of 171.2 yards per game with 5 touchdowns allowed. The Redskins have a lot of drama going on with their team right now. Questions have come up about firing Jim Zorn, the players are blaming upper management, and players are blaming other players due to their lackluster performance so far. Despite all of that, I think the Chiefs offensive line will not be able to hold up the pass rush of the Redskins, which will force Cassel to make bad decisions.

2) (RB)Julius Jones – Seattle Seahawks (vs. Arizona Cardinals)
Why : The Cardinals rank first (#1/32) in rushing defense, giving up only an average of 71 yards per game, and a total of 2 rushing TD’s this season. The weird thing about this is the Cardinals rank dead last (#32/32) in pass defense giving up an average of 303 yards per game. Look for (QB)Matt Hasselbeck to stick to the passing game. The numbers say it all!

3) (WR)Terrell Owens – Buffalo Bills (@ New York Jets)
Why : The Jets rank (#8/32) in pass defense, giving up an average of 194.4 yards per game, with 3 passing touchdowns allowed. Don’t let these numbers fool you though. They should be a lot better because they have been without (CB)Lito Sheppard, and (CB)Donald Strickland. Both are expected to be back this week, and after the beating they took last week by the Dolphins offense, head coach Rex Ryan will not let that happen again. Terrell Owens has been practically non-existant this season, and I don’t expect him to be any more visable this week. I expect the Jets to be on shut-down mode, and they won’t take Terrell Owens’s bad season lightly what-so-ever.

4) (TE)Zach Miller – Oakland Raiders (vs. Philadelphia Eagles)
Why : The Eagles rank (#4/32) in pass defense, giving up an average of 171.5 yards per game with 7 touchdowns allowed. 7 touchdowns may seem like alot but it falls in line with the top 3 passing defenses. The Giants (#1) have allowed 4 TD passes, the Panthers (#2) have allowed 6 TD passes, and the Redskins (#3) have allowed 5 TD passes. Then you have to factor in the terrible performance from Raiders (QB)JaMarcus Russell this season and that is why the talented Zach Miller falls under the Who’s Not catagory this week. Zach Miller has so much damn talent, and it’s a shame it’s getting wasted away with such a poor QB. The Raiders need to get a new QB under center for the rest of the season, even if it’s their #2 (QB)Bruce Gradkowski. Maybe JaMarcus Russell just needs a change of scenery to help his cause, because as long as Al Davis is alive……the Raiders will be a terribly run franchise.

5) (RB)DeAngelo Williams – Carolina Panthers (@ Tampa Bay Buccaneers)
Why : My “beware” pick of the week is going up against the Buccaneers who rank (#28/32) in the league in run defense, giving up an average of 152.6 yards per game this season. Now, that is a pretty bad ranking for the Buccaneers, and you would think because of those numbers, “I’m starting DeAngelo Williams this week”. DeAngelo hasn’t put up huge numbers yet this season. Then again, he didn’t really get “hot” until the last half of the season last year. The Buccaneers have only given up a total of 3 rushing touchdowns this season, despite their lowly ranking. Another reason I say beware, is because (RB)Jonathan Stewart has been sneeking in some of those goal-line carries. So if you have a more viable option this week at RB, start him instead.

Bearing in mind that Steven Seagal is 57 years old I should probably cut the guy a bit of slack. But one look at Bruce Willis (54), Dolph Lundgren (51) and even Sly Stallone (63) shows that you can keep yourself in great shape later in life if you try. The star of “Nico”, “Hard to Kill” and “Under Siege” is a shadow of the man he used to be. Well, actually in terms of shadow, he’s a far bigger one. But when it comes to kicking ass it has just become a sham. Let me explain.

“Kill Switch” starts with Memphis cop Jacob King (Seagal) dishing out brutal justice to sadistic murderer Billy Joel Hill (Mark Collie). Although he apprehends Hill, the murderer is later released on a technicality as King is adjudged to have used unreasonable force during the arrest.

Meanwhile his attention turns to a serial killer whose calling card sees him leave an astronomical sign on the body of each victim. As he searches for leads in the violent Memphis underworld, King’s efforts are being undermined by FBI agent Frankie Miller (Holly Elissa Dignard) who is critical of his strong-arm tactics.

Can King keep the FBI off his back, track down the serial killer and manage to re-apprehend the out-for-revenge Hill before Hill finds him?

Steven Seagal probably stopped being any good in the mid 90s. I got a good kick out of “Under Siege 2″ (probably because Eric Bogosian was so much fun in it) but whenever I’ve dipped in to his outings since (“The Glimmer Man”, “Ticker”) it has been a complete waste of time. ”Ticker” is actually possibly the worst film I’ve ever seen…and believe me, this one is crap.

A bloated Seagal

Anyway I’m messing around with my usual review structure but I’ll make this succinct. I said the movie opened with King kicking layers off the bad guy. It doesn’t. It actually opens with what turns out to be King’s character, as a child, witnessing his brother being killed in front of him by a man with a knife. I’m not actually sure why that scene is there because it seems to have absolutely no relevance to the rest of the plot.

Then we see King having a somewhat cold relationship with Celine (Karyn Michelle Baltzer) who appears to live in his house and who I assume is his girlfriend or wife or something. They share a few scenes together but never say anything of consequence. It’s just…weird.

Then, finally, the fight scenes. Whatever about the nonsensical script, Seagal’s movies were always about the great fight scenes. The guy is a 7th-dan black belt in aikido and his massacring of bad guys was the reason to watch his films. Sadly when you watch “Kill Switch” you aren’t watching him and that becomes painfully obvious. The camera will do a close up of some tense facial expressions as he faces off a foe before pulling back to show him from behind putting down his enemy – or at least showing his body double (complete with bad wig) doing so.

I’m not sure what the reason for this is. He’s definitely overweight but he’s been that way for years and is clearly unmotivated to get back in shape. He’s not so overweight that he couldn’t do hand-to-hand combat scenes but his body double seems to do all but one of them. It’s a real shame because in his pomp he was incredible.

“Kill Switch” is a washout. It makes no sense, is utterly boring, poorly acted and – as made clear – is not even redeemed by the fight scenes. And sadly, what appears to be yet another film featuring an imperious and flawless Steven Seagal character, was actually written by…Mr Steven Seagal. Does every film for him have to be a vanity project?

A few thoughts on the Week Two game between the Atlanta Falcons and the Carolina Panthers, both from

A few thoughts on the Week Two game between the Atlanta Falcons and the Carolina Panthers, both from an on-field perspective and a fantasy football perspective. The Falcons won 28-20 in the Georgia Dome.

On-field
*The Falcons continue to show that they’re a solid team across the board. Even though Michael Turner hasn’t yet had a huge game, the offense is moving well. The addition of Tony Gonzalez has been absolutely huge, because he gives Matt Ryan another elite-level target along with Roddy White. That mitigates the fact that Atlanta’s other receivers are average.
*Even without Jerious Norwood for most of the game, Atlanta’s running game was terrific. Jason Snelling stepped right in with 47 yards from scrimmage, including a TD catch, while Turner got stronger as the game went on and finished with 105 yards and a late touchdown.
*A lot of that offensive success is due to Atlanta’s solid offensive line. Guard Harvey Dahl has a mean streak that you need, and the fact that Julius Peppers and Everette Brown were stonewalled says something about second-year OLT Sam Baker. Atlanta held Carolina without a sack in this game.
*Atlanta’s defense isn’t great, but it’s good. OLB Mike Peterson has added an edge and some play-making ability in pass coverage that Keith Brooking didn’t provide, while second-year MLB Curtis Lofton continues to emerge as a force. DE John Abraham is a factor whenever he’s in the game as well, and backup DE Kroy Biermann has flashed ability in the first two games of the season. Young CB Chris Houston and veteran Brian Williams are a nice duo as well. This D isn’t going to completely shut anyone down, but it’s good enough to make the Falcons a dangerous team.
*For Carolina, Jake Delhomme was OK, and the offense moved the ball accordingly. As long as Delhomme avoids meltdown mode, the Panthers can move the ball thanks to a mauling offensive line and terrific RBs Jonathan Stewart and DeAngelo Williams.
*Steve Smith is a great receiver, Muhsin Muhammad is still a good receiver, and TEs Jeff King and Dante Rosario are OK. But the Panthers don’t have any WR depth, and that hurts when they’re trying to come back as they were in this game.
*Carolina’s defense really struggled for the second week in a row. The lack of DT depth hurt, as Turner was able to wear down the interior of the defense. And without any pass rush, Ryan did pretty much whatever he wanted. LBs Jon Beason and Thomas Davis played well, but they can’t be expected to snuff out the run game by themselves.
*I really like Carolina’s CB duo of Richard Marshall and Chris Gamble for their aggressiveness and their tackling, but they don’t get to show their skills off fully in the Panthers’ cover-2 scheme. I liked the Ron Meeks hire as defensive coordinator in the offseason, but I’m starting to waver on that.
*The Panthers have some serious special-teams problems. Already this season, they’ve given up a blocked punt and a punt return for a touchdown, along with some sizable kickoff returns. That has to change if they’re going to crawl out of their 0-2 hole.

Fantasy Football thoughts
*Steve Smith is going to be OK. If you picked Smith early in your draft, you undoubtedly had some fears after Week One. But with Jake Delhomme rebounding, Smith showed that he can still be highly productive for fantasy owners.
*Aside from Smith, none of the Panthers’ receivers is worth owning. Muhsin Muhammad gets some looks, but everyone else is a bit player for fantasy leagues. Likewise, Delhomme is not really a major fantasy threat. He might end up being an OK backup in larger leagues, but don’t count on him for more.
*The Panthers have three decent receiving tight ends in Jeff King, Dante Rosario, and Gary Barnidge. But even though Rosario caught a touchdown in this game, he’s not a fantasy factor. Rosario plays as the movement tight end in two-TE sets, but King is on the field more. So while Rosario looks good catching the ball, he doesn’t get enough playing time to be a top-20 fantasy tight end.
*Both Panthers running backs are really good. DeAngelo Williams will end the season as a top 8 or top 10 back, and Jonathan Stewart will be a yardage force with limited touches. This game is actually going to be pretty typical of the workload spread between the two players and the production you can reasonably expect.
*Michael Turner is not a dynamic back like Adrian Peterson, but he’s a very good back who, like Williams, will end up being a top guy this year.
*Jason Snelling had a good game, but he’s not a fantasy factor because he’s below Jerious Norwood in the pecking order, and Norwood is barely ownable in most leagues. So let Snelling lie on your waiver wire this week, despite the talent he displayed this week.
*Roddy White and Tony Gonzalez are both fantasy starters, and Matt Ryan may be as well. The addition of Gonzalez is going to help Ryan grow his TD numbers from 16 last year into the 20s this year. He’s growing as a fantasy option.

I am frankly beside myself today. I have always thought we live in a free nation. The United States

I am frankly beside myself today. I have always thought we live in a free nation. The United States — the land of the free and the home of the brave. I now have a different view. While our country was founded on those principles, I now believe our leaders (President Obama and the Democrat controlled legislature) want that to end. The frightening thing about it is there are influential people who want our country to dramatically change as well. Even more scary is that most of the American people DON’T care. The Democrats are unquestioningly following. And, Republicans are afraid to do anything about it.

Let’s start with the Miss USA pageant over the weekend. According to the Christian Science Monitor, Miss California Carrie Prejean (a Christian candidate) answers a question from judge Perez Hilton about legalizing same-sex marriage during the Miss USA Pageant. “We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage,” Prejean said. “And you know what, I think in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised.”

Looking at blogs and other commentaries, many say Miss California lost the pageant because of her answer to the question. Maybe I shouldn’t be so amazed. It appears the United States has reached a new ’sinful’ low. We’ve penalized a women for having strong character, who’s wholesome, ethical, and stands on her convictions. It’s amazing that she would be penalized for believing in something that may not be politically correct. To allow someone like Perez Hilton (an outspoken homosexual and blogger) be a judge on a television show that’s supposed to be an example to young women around the country.

I shouldn’t be surprised. Because, soon, it will be illegal to say anything negatively about homosexuality. News reports indicate a vote is looming this week in Congress on a bill that one conservative activist warns would not only silence Christian opposition to homosexuality, but also would legitimize deviant forms of “sexual orientation.” According to OneNewsNow.com A markup vote is expected Wednesday in the House Judiciary Committee on the Local Law Enforcement and Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009. House Democrats only have to give 24 hours’ notice before the vote. The measure (H.R. 1913) sponsored by Representatives John Conyers (D-Michigan) and Mark Kirk (R-Illinois) would add homosexuals and transgender people to the list of classes federally protected from so-called “hate crimes.”

Andrea Lafferty, executive director of the Traditional Values Coalition, says the bill is a serious threat to religious freedom.

“Your pastor could be prosecuted for conspiracy to commit a hate crime if it passes and become law,” she warns. “This so-called ‘hate crimes’ bill will be used to lay the legal foundation and framework to investigate, prosecute, and persecute pastors, business owners, Bible teachers, Sunday School teachers, youth pastors — you name it — or anyone else whose actions are based upon and reflect the truth found in the Bible.”

Now, a character on my favorite TV show has got me pretty ticked off. She’s called me and millions of other Americans, racists. Janeane Garofalo, who plays Janis Gold on the television series 24, says the people who attended tea parties are racists with dysfunctional brains. Here’s her quote:

“Let’s be very honest about what this is about. This is not about bashing Democrats. It’s not about taxes. They have no idea what the Boston Tea party was about. They don’t know their history at all. It’s about hating a black man in the White House,” she said on MSNBC’s “The Countdown” with Keith Olbermann Thursday evening. “This is racism straight up and is nothing but a bunch of *!(%#!~ rednecks. There is no way around that.”

I am not a racist, but I am opposed to Socialism and government spending MY money like there is no end to it. I am opposed to the president of the United States bowing to the king of Saudi Arabia and giving legitimacy to rouge leaders, i.e. Venezuela and Cuba. I’m also opposed the president giving aid to our enemies by releasing highly classified “Top Secret” documents about interrogation techniques. I’m also tired of hearing Obama apologize to the world for the United States. He’s caving in and it’s hard to stomach that Obama is going to give away part of the United States in order to make him look good. Those kinds of issues aren’t racist. Those are issues that violate the sovereignty our our nation. Obama is trying to re-write the constitution and American history. It’s sad.

Where does that leave us? On our knees before God pleading for mercy. Asking God to bring revival in a nation that’s rejected Him. Come Lord Jesus, come quickly.

Because I have been negligent since my passport expired in 2007, I have to get a new one. This is so

Because I have been negligent since my passport expired in 2007, I have to get a new one. This is something I need to do in order to become a responsible adult, and I now take pride in doing. I believe the hardest part in this process will be deciding how to style my hair in the photographs. My old style was known as a “Mushroom Cut”, or “Undercut” as it was once called. At times it look much like famous musician Jeff King’s current hair style. However due to the will of my parents, I was told to cut it much shorter, and thus produce something like this:

I promise myself that this new picture will look as good, if not better than what I am assuming Jeff King’s passport looks like. I am excited for traveling outside of the country and various paper work I am going to have to fill out.

On a side note, the payment for such an official document will hopefully covered by future income earned from a job I am interviewing at tomorrow. I will succeed!
