I was never much of a “doll” person, but this doll is literally, the softest and sweetest looking one I’ve ever seen. Not only does Jellycat offer a wide variety of different animals to choose from, but they also come in different fabrics and sizes as well.
I spotted this Skidaddle Zebra soft toy by Jellycat a couple of weeks ago when I rushed into a JoJo Maman Bebe store, en route to some friends to find a gift for their new baby boy (nothing like leaving it to the last minute!). It’s made out of soft jersey with navy and cream stripes and teething rings attached to its legs. It can be attached to cot or buggy.

I fell in love with it, it’s so soft, cuddly and gorgeous-looking. Plus they wrapped it in tissue in a very nice looking box, that only cost £1.50. I’m thinking of buying the boxes to store my daughter’s socks, tights and things in!

It’s the perfect affordable gift for a new born baby, and as 18 of my friends have had babies this summer, affordable is key! Unfortunately for some reason, you can’t get them on JoJo Maman Bebe’s website or catalogue – why not??? But you can get them at Justjellycat.co.uk. The 20cm one £12.00. There’s also a small one and a muscial pull one.

I might stockpile them to give to other friends when they have babies as they really are adorable!

Jellycat release their new soft toy collection together with additions to existing designs, marking another huge step towards their global domination of the quality soft toy market

At last the long awaited new Jellycat Designs have been released.
In the main catalogue are the stylish and completely off the wall “Les Animals” collection which includes “Le Dog, Cat and Bunny” (see photograph) which can be viewed at http://www.fleurtations.uk.com/jellycat_les_animals.asp There is also the launch of “Oliver Bear” in two sizes. This is a far more traditional looking bear by Jellycat standards and will undoubtedly be one of the years best sellers (the face is perfect). The “Shusky” and “Chimboos” together with the “Cordy Roys” and “Barty Bat” are all totally new. Barty will be a real favourite amongst bat fans. The “Cordy Roys”are another very unique design and include an Aardvark and Crocodile and can be viewed at http://www.fleurtations.uk.com/jellycat_cordy_roy.asp The “Bashful” range is a long term favourite and has had a number of new additions including “Bashful” teddy and donkey in two sizes. A Jaguar has been added to the very popular “Merryday”range which gives it the chance to compete with the evergreen “Truffles” and “Pipers”.
In the Jellykitten baby toy selection there have been some wonderful additions particularly in the “noisy” and “activity” toy sections. The introduction of the “Tringle Trangle” range of cat and mouse with their “squeak”, “crinkle” and “rattle” sounds and very bright colours make them another certain best seller along with the “Tuggytoos” pup and lamb. For the sophisticated baby toys Jellykitten have added the “Bredita” duck and bunny chimes plus matching bunny and duck soothers. More wonderful play books have been added including “Woodland Tails”. These books are magical in as much as they open out to show each individual animal with there corresponding tails and noises.
Catseye, which is a huge selection of accessories including clocks, tape measures, placemats, sticky notes and radios, has been enlarged. The new “Pink Gallery” and “White Gallery” designs offer glasses cases, zip purses, small bag and wash bags plus “Liberty Print” bags and books.
Other designs have been added this year including “Chubbles”, “Scrumpties” “Nonos” and “Curly Cosys” They are all available on the Fleurtations website locates at http://www.fleurtations.uk.com/jellycat_1.asp which has 85 dedicated Jellycat pages making it the best selection currently on the web.
Jellycat as a company have been around since 1999 and continues to offer superbly designed, original and beautifully made soft toys and accessories. Fleurtations have been trading with Jellycat since their inception and have recently been given the “Recommended Retailer” status on the Jellycat website (there are only nine in the whole of Europe). So far Fleurtations have exported to every continent (except Antarctica) including sending a “Truffles Special Edition Woolly Mammoth” to Barbados and “Slackajack Bunny” to Afghanistan.
The success of Jellycat is down to their great team of designers, to quality manufacturing and a very personal, friendly approach.
Long may it continue

Our 4 month old daughter loves the book & has for the last month. The only suggestion I have is to make some in a square format so that when babies are as young as ours they don’t know how to uncover their face yet & this book covers her whole face & there it sits until I remove it. Would be better as a square.

We’re hooked, and so is our son! These books by Anne Wilkinson for Jelly Cat / Jelly Kitten are all wonderful. Other books we own and are very pleased with include: My Frog Book, JellyCat My Dog Book and Funny Feet Book.

I have purchased many of the books as baby gifts. they are brightly colored, easy to hold and have little surprise pages to interest little minds. Some of the pages are crinkly, and fun to teethe on. See other products by Jellycat a great line of soft toys for children. Buy this book babies will love it!!!

We know that the Google Algorithm is a complicated beast with several hundred criteria ultimately designed to give optimum search result satisfaction by taking things like age of site, bounce rates, over capitalisation, title lengths into account but is it really working? The answer has to be no. Let’s look at a subject matter close to my own heart Jellycat soft toys. If you simply put Jellycat in the search bar Google brings up, depending upon your location and time of day, 367,000 results in an impressive 0.17 seconds.

In seventh place is a company called “ftd.com” offering a choice of only two Jellycat soft toys either a dog or a cow, not even a design name.

In eighth place is a media company coincidentally called “Jellycat media” offering a range of activities including graphic design, web design, photography and film making.

In tenth place comes “Yahoo!Answers” concerned with a member called Jellycat with 3577 points, level 4 and 17% best answers.

My absolute favourite, presently found in thirteenth position, is “Jellycat.org” which is a site dedicated to eight pictures of an unknown persons cat called Molly and a piece of text that reads “This site is not affiliated or associated with Jellycat ltd.” Content, what content. Alright it’s only thirteenth but it’s out of 367,000! The page has a page rank of zero and mentions Jellycat once on the whole page.

Surely Google needs a better response to accurate content. It appears that just using Jellycat in the “Title”, “Description” and “URL title” of a webpage is often sufficient to catapult a site, which clearly does not belong there, into a high ranking page position.

With so many additional criteria to take into account you have to wonder whether an element of random chaos theory has been introduced into Googlebot just to keep their actions unfathomable.

For people like myself who work feverishly to put out a quality site, in our case a site with over eighty pages of Jellycat designs http://www.fleurtations.uk.com/jellycat_1.asp including “currency convertor”, search facility by design or animal, free UK delivery on orders over £10.00, international delivery automatically worked out in the shopping basket and constantly updated stock levels, it can be a little hard to take when the site roams from eleventh to eighty fourth position.

Google is by far the best search engine in the world but still has a long way to go and needs to seriously address the weight it places on results associated only by name and give much more importance to content which simply has to be king for without quality content all results are worthless.

I do this from time to time. Oh who am I kidding? I do this all. the. time.

And sometimes I find things I actually want to buy.

So today I found a cool site that has designer baby clothes, books, toys, etc. This jellycat jungly-tails book is way too cool and I think I may need one Thor may need one. It has TAILS….and yes I am easily amused! But I can also see how fun it would be for babies/young kids. Not only the book, but I’m totally in love with their bath toys – especially these!

But it’s not just kids stuff. I found something Thor may need to buy his mommy…this barefoot dreams robe. Maybe that will be my reward when I get to my goal weight! I’ll make sure he saves his pennies.

Do we cuddle as much as we used to??

Now there’s a question, When I was small I had a collection of cuddly toys all of which accompanied me into the land of sweet slumbers every night, even when I left home to venture into the world of adulthood, my scruffy and well loved cuddlies came with me. And still now, in my forties, I have a collection of special bears by my bedside.
So have you still got some of your loved ones?, who could, no doubt tell a few stories if only they had a voice, lol?? Are your children as attatched to their teddies, because mine don’t seem to be, although they do go through phases of needing a fury friend and then it takes ages to find the one they want. Is it possibly because us Mums and Grannies don’t seem to knit and sew as much these days and the emphasis is more on collectables for the shelves maybe??
Whatever the reason, I think it is a bit sad, I told my teddies all my troubles and fears and got great comfort from that, so I think it’s time I gave the bedtime cuddle a bit of a revival, this year I will buy lots of bears for all my little people.

At The Wishing Tree we have a huge variety of cuddlies, I wonder why that is ?? Started off with a few cuddly Jelly cat elephants and giraffes and the odd zebra and a few cheeky looking monkeys, but it has kind of grown to large stocks of them now. We also stock Bears From Russ Berrie, and other suppliers, and have a few made by a local Lady too. variety is the spice of life and we certainly have that. Prices range from £2.99 upwards, and we are increasing our ranges all the time due to our customers becoming addicted to Jelly Cat, also more people are finding our website these days too. So don’t let the cuddle become a thing of the past, keep your teddies near by and get one for someone close who needs a cuddle too. xx

Love and Light,

I got him!!! (He is a him, I keep calling him a him and I haven’t even named him yet. lol) Ever since I came to uni, I’d seen a big beige bunny rabbit in the window of this awesome shop. It was £40. More than I’m willing to fork out on a cuddly toy. Though I’ve paid more for a piece of plastic way smaller…. different thing though…… This last week, theres been a sale in this shop, the bunny was half price. I’ve been fighting with myself since last sunday…over whether or not I should buy it… yesterday I finally caved…. I went to get it… but the sales clerk said it wasn’t £20, it was still £40, even though the sign in the window said it was £20, down from £40…. So I decided I’d go back today. Alas….. it was gone…. I saw even from a distance that the bunny was no longer in its part of the display… I was so upset… I even asked about it… and they said it was sold earlier today…. So I got my milk and drudged home… bummed out by not getting my bunny…..

So I talked to my friend after I got in, and was told, to my dismay, that she had bought the bunny, earlier on that day…. I was pretty much ecstatic, couldn’t stop smiling. It was an amazing thing to do. Kniving, but amazing lol. It was meant to be for my un-birthday(the birthday in the middle of the year to seperate my birthday and xmas, because quite a few people forget my birthday is two days before xmas, or try to combine them. And it wasn’t even my idea to do an un-birthday lol. Was their idea. Anyways, she gave it to me when I went round earlier, we watched Harold and Kumar Escape Guantanamo.

Before I got the big one, I bought the little one, to satisfy my urge to buy the big one lol, the little one was £10.

You may be wondering, ‘how do I tell how big it is?’ well this is how…

Thats a normal size single manga volume. About 19cm tall.

Tis a mightly big cuddly toy. One of my largest for sure.

It’s about 50cm long, sat like that, not including the ears. Would be much longer if the ears were included lol. This bunny, and the other one, the smaller one, are bother Jellycat products. Cuddly toys from the extortionately priced range of pretty things, stuffed toys, keyrings and other stuff. I only own a few things by Jellycat, due to their price. Most of the time they’re quite small things but cost way more than they should… which sucks… Anyways. I has my Large Beige Bashful Bunny now, so I am content. I’ve wanted him for months, and now I have him. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you Katie! And Siobhan!

All I need now is to name him….. I’m thinking something unisex maybe… like Jo…. for Joseph lol….I don’t know…. Any ideas? What do you think he looks like? Or do you think he should be a she?
