Michael Jackson’s family gathered Tuesday for an early Thanksgiving dinner, determined not to let money and fame pull it apart, the pop icon’s oldest brother said.

“That’s really, really important because we’re a family and throughout the years, the managers, the agents and Hollywood have tried to come between that,” Jermaine Jackson said. “What they don’t know is we were together before we came out here and we’re going to continue to be together.”

Jackson spoke to CNN at a Tuesday morning screening of his brother’s “This Is It” movie for inner-city students in Los Angeles.  He said he has stayed away from the Michael Jackson estate legal battle, which pitted his mother’s lawyer against his father’s lawyer earlier this month.

“When there’s a lot of fame and fortune and attorneys, accountants and advisers and managers and agents, it gets like this,” Jermaine Jackson said. “But at the same time, my mother is the boss and regardless of what the executors want to do at the end of the day, she has the say.”

When family matriarch Katherine Jackson dropped her legal challenge of the men named in Michael Jackson’s will to run his estate, family patriarch Joe Jackson’s lawyer was launching his own challenge. This set off a bitter courtroom battle between the lawyers for the Jackson parents.

“She has now reneged on her obligation to her family,” Joe Jackson’s lawyer, Brian Oxman, told the judge. He said Katherine Jackson’s reversal was “one of the most despicable displays” he’s ever seen in court. Oxman accused her of reaching a secret deal – behind Joe Jackson’s back – with the men who control their son’s estate.
Jermaine Jackson said despite what you may read, the Jackson family will “pull together.” “There’s strength in numbers, and when there’s a family like ours, we pull together,” he said. “We find strength within each other.”

Mya finished this season of ”Dancing With The Stars” on top of leader board by scoring the most points from the judges for her final 3 dances performed for the championship round.

Mya, 800-VOTE4-11, 800-86834-11, and text 3411, finished tonight’s finale with a score of 27 out of 30, placing her two points ahead of Donny Osmond, and 11 points ahead of Kelly Osbourne,making her clearly the judges favorite for the evening.

Mya and her professional dance partner Dmitry Chaplin performed at a very high level this evening, as they have done throughout the competition. The only slight mistake that they made was in choosing a final freestyle dance from the Broadway play ”Hairspray” that apparently was a popular number for those who have seen the stage play.

I never saw that play, but I did see both versions of the movie, and their performance looked very good to me, and I was fully entertained. Apparently, the judges based their scores off of the Tony award-winning dancing that was in the Broadway play, as performed by the professional Broadway dancers.

I think that is a bit odd, to judge her performance against Broadway dancers,and not the rest of the competitors.I know she is good and all, but it looked to me like she was competing against Donny and Kelly, so that assessment was way off base, but…that is just me.

I think they were expecting something different, and forgot to judge the performance in front of them, and that is the problem with consistently being on top….people want to see you fall.

I admire Kelly and Donny,and wish them well, but it was irritating to hear Kelly complain and whine about Mya being a professional dancer, because if she was honest, she has an unfair advantage over Mya, which is that she comes with all of Ozzy Osbourne’s legion of fans, let alone her own from the ”Osbournes” MTV reality series, that was at one time the highest rated program on the cable network.

That all makes a difference because at this point in the season, it is not about dancing on ‘Dancing With The Stars’, but it all comes down to a popularity contest, and Ozzy has all the popularity in the entertainment business, and Kelly rides on his coat tails.

Donny Osmond has almost 5 decades of loyal fans that far out distances the small number of R and B fans that remain loyal to Mya, because in the R and B game, the fans like to tear down the singers once the hits stop coming, and loyalty is almost nonexistence.

The freestyle dance was as awesome as the rest of her performances, and do not let any negative spin on it fool you. If it comes down to dancing skill, then Mya would win hands down,….If it only was about dancing, but it is not.

It is a popularity contest, and the popularity is not based on the dancing performances on the show.

If it is all about dancing, then vote for team Mya and Dmitry, it is what would be fair.

The deal is this,Mya, as all the performers, are not trained ballroom dancers, so she is on the same level as Tom Delay in that area, and the whining by Kelly Osbourne is unfair,fake, and borders on lying. She was obviously trying to garner some sentimental votes from her dads fans, and at the same time, slamming Mya.

In doing this injustice to Mya, Kelly reminded me of her mother Sharon Osbourne’s tacky slamming of singer Susan Boyle’s looks, when she stated that …”Susan Boyle is a lovely lady who had been hit by the ugly stick”….

Michael Jackson se convirtió en el gran ausente de la noche, pero no por ello dejó de ganar cuatro premios de los cinco a los que estaba nominado recogidos por su hermano Jermaine Jackson. Los American Music Awards (AMA), premios de la música estadounidense concedidos por los fans, cobraron vida anoche, en una gala celebrada el 22 de Noviembre que no estuvo exenta de sorpresas. Por ejemplo, Lady Gaga destrozó su escenografía e incendió el escenario durante su actuación.

Me dio la sensación de que en esta edición hubo mucha más actuación en vivo que otros años, en algunos casos algunos iban seguidos, incluso. Janet Jackson,  Shakira, Kelly Clarkson, Alicia Keys (que subió dos veces al escenario) y Jay-Z, The Black Eyed Peas, Rihanna, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer López, Whitney Houston, Eminem, Green Day y Adam Lambert (que cerró la gala) fueron algunos de los que se subieron al escenario para dar espectáculo, sin menospreciar la presencia de los presentadores que también hicieron por amenizar la gala.

Volviendo a los premiados, otros de los alabados durante la gala fueron Black Eyed Peas y Jay-Z que se llevaron dos premios cada uno. Como era de esperar Crepúsculo se llevó el AMA a Mejor Banda Sonora.

Otra de las anécdotas de la noche fue la caída de Jennifer López, a quien le vino bien tener el trasero asegurado puesto que después de saltar tras subirse en las espaldas de uno de los bailarines no cayó cómo se suponía debía caer…

Eminem seguro que no ha dormido bien esta noche pues aún estando nominado a cuatro AMA, finalmente se fue con las manos vacías.

It has been made clear to all of us that actress Shilpa Shetty’s wedding is not going to be a star studded affair, but here’s a surprise as the media people have come to know her two very special guests.

As per the earlier reports her list of invitees for the wedding was restricted only to close family members. She has planned to invite her friends from the industry only on 24 November i.e. two days after the wedding but now we reveal here two special guests.

The guest no. 1 is Jermaine Jackson who has been invited for the wedding on November 22. Jermaine and she had become friends during the ‘Big Brother’ show.

The guest no. 2 is celebrity cricketer Shane Warne. He is former Australian cricket star and also captain of Shilpa’s IPL team. He too is expected on 22 November.

Ontem, domingo, o ‘American Music Awards’ tomou conta de Los Angeles e reuniu nomes da música dos EUA. É uma premiação tão “tímida” que quase não é comentada. O que eu acho péssimo, pois assim deixa a mostra que as premiações musicais só tem prestígio quando tem o nome ligado a MTV.

Pois, o AMA foi tudo menos “tímido” com apresentações de Lady Gaga, Nelly Furtado, Shakira, Janet Jackson, Rihanna e Jennifer Lopez. E convidados ilustres como Nicole Kidman, Kate Hudson, Whitney Houston, Mary J Blige e a trupe Jackson.

Os premiados foram uma surpresa, Taylor Swift conquistou 5 prêmios, entre eles melhor cantora e melhor artista do ano. Michael Jackson venceu em 4 categorias, entre elas melhor cantor e melhor álbum. Jermaine Jackson recebeu os prêmios em nome do irmão, acompanhado dos filhos. O Black Eyed Peas levou algumas categorias, assim como Beyonce e Jay-Z. Abaixo, Jermaine Jackson, irmão de Michael Jackson, que levou a família à cerimônia.

E claro, um view nos modelitos da noite:

A atriz Nicole Kidman estava com um vestido longo sem caimento, com cores estranhas e mesmo adorando ela eu não consegui gostar do modelo. Ela acompanhou o marido, o cantor country Keith Urban.

E acabei de achar um view da apresentação da Lady Gaga no AMA cantando Bad Romance. OBS: Quero demais um show dessa mulher maravilhosa.

Since Michael Jackson’s death back in June, many tears have been shed for the fallen “King of Pop.”  Unfortunately, instead of tears, the eyes of Michael’s brother’s and father have been filled with dollar signs as of late.  After the family finally buried Michael, more than two months after his death, the remaining members of the Jackson 5 and the slap happy patriarch wasted little time cashing in on the death of their brother.  Not only is a reunion tour in the works, as a “tribute” to Michael, but a documentary series about the family is set to premiere on A&E in December.  Is nothing sacred?  Even in death, this dysfunctional excuse for a family continues to mooch off their vastly superior brothers career.  I especially love that Joe Jackson, the proud papa emerges out of obscurity immediately after his son dies to appear on every single talk show and instead of talking about how much he loved his son Michael, he proceeds to use the opportunities for plugs for his record label.

Wow.  If anyone has any doubts why this scumbag was left out of his sons will, those doubts should be put to rest after watching that video.  The saddest part of Michael’s death may be the fact that he was surrounded by leeches that wanted to steal his money at every chance they got.  Michael Jackson was one of, if not the greatest performers the world will ever see and it’s simply horrifying that the other Jackson brothers and Joe are too concerned with their own self-serving agendas to realize that.  Logically speaking, to imagine a world where Michael’s father didn’t exist would mean that Michael would never have existed either.  However I’m confident that whoever’s sperm Michael would’ve been conceived from, he would’ve still managed to go on to take the world by storm.

In a world where Joe Jackson and the remaining Jackson 4 didn’t exist to ride their brothers coat tails:

• Michael Jackson wouldn’t have grown up to be an 8 year old in a 49 year old’s body having not experienced the rampant abuse by his father throughout his childhood.
• You’d think we’d be without such great songs as “I Want You Back” and “I’ll be there,” but little Michael would’ve been paired with some other black guys because let’s face it, Michael is what made those songs great.  The other brothers are definitely interchangeable.
• Micheal would never have potentially diddled those boys also if he hadn’t experienced the damaging abuse by his father throughout his childhood.
• Jermaine would never have been able to launch his explosive solo career…wait he had a solo career?
• Sadly, this album cover would never have come to fruition.

The Jackson 4 + Joe wouldn’t be able to capitalize on anything their brother was a part of, including the recent popularity of “This Is It,” which they recorded background vocals for because they wouldn’t miss an opportunity to mooch off their brother’s success.
• Michael wouldn’t have to turn over in his grave when Joe Jackson eventually whores out Michael’s children by marketing them as the Prince and Princess of Pop.

Like Elvis Presley and Tupac Shakur before him, I think it’s safe to say that Michael Jackson will probably go on to make more money dead than he did alive.  I pray to god that the only person who gets a crack at any of that money is those children and Michael’s mother, Katherine, in order to properly raise those children as Michael would’ve wanted.  I fear that Joe Jackson is going to try his greedy claws on that money at every chance he can.  Hell, he’s already in a court battle to try and gain some portion of Michael’s estate for “living expenses.”  What a douche.  And please, Jackson brothers, don’t go on that reunion tour. I hate to shatter your guys’ world, but nobody gives a flying fuck about you without MJ.

I heard this song the other day while I was riding along in the car with my partner. Maybe I’ve been living under a rock for the last twenty or so years, but this was the first time I have ever heard it. I now know that, noneother than, Jermaine Jackson is responsible for this gem. Yet upon hearing the chorus to “Do What You Do,” I couldn’t help but laugh and exclaim, “Those have got to be the vaguist song lyrics of all time!” Actually, that may be the vaguest proposal one could make to another human being.

This got me thinking… What might a conversation look like with that proposal as the crux of the dialogue? Here is what I came up with:

I have a problem with Joe Jackson. No, I don’t personally know Joe Jackson, but in my opinion he is one of those fellas who you can smell the jerk oozing through his pours. I may be wrong, but I believe that having Joe Jackson as a father was a major contribution to Michael Jackson’s “issues”.  I know that MJ fans hate to admit that Michael had some “issues”, but let’s face facts, he did.

I think these issues began way back in the day when Poppa Joe decided that his boys would form a group and make him some money. Joe Jackson claims that the movie  The Jacksons was not a completely true picture of life in the Jackson home, but most people, myself included, believe that Joe was nothing to play with. He claims that he never beat his children  and that as a matter of fact, Katherine, their mother spanked the children more than he did, since he was away from home a lot, working two jobs. I can believe that Katherine spanked….and I can definitely believe that Joe beat.

Then there has been Joe’s heinous behavior since Michael Jackson passed away. At the BET Awards 2009 Joe was interviewed on the red carpet and he showed no compassion and honestly seemed as if he had no clue as to how the rest of his family was doing. Neither did he show much concern or signs of grief for losing a son. Not only did he seem detached from the happenings of the family, but Joe seemed to care more about his own “career.” While being interviewed by John Lemon of CNN Joe Jackson went on to give a shameless plug of his new record company and had his publicist to read a prepared statement.

It has also been said that  Joe has approached Michael’s children in an attempt to have them form a music group and do some touring. Joe says this is a bunch of jive, but in my opinion showing no compassion for the death of your own son is more than a  bunch of jive.

Regardless of what Joe has to say, there is some underlying reason why his son would write him out of his will. There has to be some reason his wife of over fifty years lives in one home and he lives in another. There definitely is a problem and I think that problem is Joe Jackson!

Two of Michael Jackson’s brothers, Marlon and Jackie, had nothing but shining compliments for “Michael Jackson’s This Is It,” after the film’s sparkling Los Angeles premiere. But, they said, the documentary was also a reminder that they had lost their beloved brother.

“It was fantastic. It was amazing. It’s a bittersweet moment for us, ’cause you know [we experienced] the passing of our brother,” Jackie said. “But at the same token, I wanted to see Michael do his thing. It was electrifying.”

Jackie went on to say that judging by the response in the Nokia Theatre, where the premiere was held, the audience loved the film as well. He thinks it reminded them all how talented Jackson was when he was up on stage.

“They loved it,” he said. “It was his final rehearsal. He was working with his band, his background singers and he was teaching them steps, the moves. It was great to see him in action.”

Marlon said his brother would have been happy to see that his fans got the chance to see MJ create his This Is It concerts. “I think he would have appreciated the fans across the globe [getting the opportunity to] respect his work, appreciate his work,” he said. “That’s all we want people to do is appreciate what we do.”

The brothers also addressed why their mother, Katherine, and their sisters haven’t yet screened “This Is It”: “Because it’s hard for them to see it right now,” Jackie explained.

“Everybody’s different, so you might want to give a little more time,” Marlon added. “But they’re going to see it, and if it’s never, then it’s never, but we respect that.”

Jackson’s three children, Prince, Blanket and Paris, also need more time before they see the film, their uncles said, denying the rumors that the children had a private screening of the film. “They’re going to see it on their own time,” Jackie said. “It’s already been arranged.”

El día de ayer se llevó a cabo la premiere de This is It, la película/documental de los últimos ensayos de Michael Jackson y como era de esperarse, muchas celebridades desfilaron por la alfombra roja. Momento, ¿dije “muchas celebridades”?, en realidad quise decir, uno que otro famoso y muchos que no querían perder la oportunidad de que le tomaran la foto con fines promocionales. De hecho de los que asistieron, el único verdaderamente famoso es Will Smith, porque de ahí en fuera, puro oportunista, ahí tienen a JLo (que está próxima a sacar disco), Katy Perry (one hit wonder), Adam Lambert (también próximo a sacar disco y a jotear duro arriba de los escenarios), Piru Hilton (que le encanta posar para las cámaras en todo tipo de posiciones), JC Chasez y Ashley Tisdale (estos dos son tan irrelevantes que les hago un favor con mencionarlos).

Some of Hollywood’s biggest names — from Will Smith and Jennifer Lopez to Paula Abdul and Paris Hilton – hit the red carpet yesterday at Los Angeles’ Nokia Theater for the premiere of the highly anticipated Michael Jackson documentary, This Is It.

Though Michael’s parents and children chose not to attend the big premiere — Joe Jackson opted to go to the Las Vegas premiere, while Prince, Paris and Blanket will have a private screening of the film – his brothers showed up to lend their support.

“They say this is it,” Jermaine Jackson told reporters at the event. “But this is just the beginning.”

Followers of Elizabeth Taylor’s Twitter got an early review of the documentary Monday, as the late King of Pop’s longtime friend lavished the film with praise.

“It is the single most brilliant piece of filmmaking I have ever seen,” she tweeted. “It cements forever Michael’s genius in every aspect of creativity.”

Wow. This was undoubtedly the most amazing day of my entire life. I still cannot absorb several specific experiences. This is not a detailed account of my day, which I want to keep private, but it is a drawn out list of things that I cannot believe happened.

Today I left Isla Vista at 6:30AM and followed the “Caravan of Love” into Santa Maria for Michael Jackson’s arraignment.

When I got out of the car, I closed the door and saw Joe Jackson in the front passenger seat of the car directly behind mine. I exchanged smiles with Joe Jackson today.

I felt kind of stupid as thousands of people crowded around Jermaine Jackson while I wasn’t particularly violently compelled to rush through the crowds to catch a glimpse of him. The same sadly happened when Mr. Michael Jackson himself was within a few hundred feet of me. I concluded that celebrities really aren’t superhumans in my mind and that just physically seeing them from a distance doesn’t mean that much to me since the experience is not personal at all.

I watched Michael Jackson stand on top of his car and wave to his devoted fans after an arraignment. I thought to myself that one could only behave like that and be in such a loving mood after going to court if one were Michael Jackson.

I made eye contact with Joe Jackson again as he drove away. The fans then stormed the middle of the street and the police physically pushed everyone away and there was a lot of yelling and some scary looking dogs as well. I felt like I was in the middle of some awful display of police brutality.

I held in my hand an invitation to Neverland Valley Ranch today.

I called Allison to ask her how far I was from the freeway exit that leads to Neverland Valley Ranch.

I signed multiple contracts, displayed my ID, abandoned my cell phone and all other electronic devices, left my purse as well, and had an encounter with a handheld metal detector so that I could enter Neverland Valley Ranch.

I literally ran through the gates of Neverland today.

I rode Michael Jackson’s ferris wheel with a woman from Georgia I’d never met and “Heal the World” began to play. I could not handle listening to this song while seeing Neverland from above and I began to cry, holding this stranger’s hand.

Today I tapped Tito Jackson on the shoulder and asked for a hug. After getting it, I had him autograph my invitation to Neverland.

I stroked one of Michael Jackson’s horses today and stared at his llamas for quite a while.

I walked into a movie theater in which money was nonexistent. There was an unlimited supply of typical candy, popcorn, ice cream, and soft drinks. The new “Peter Pan” movie was playing in the theater, which had private rooms in the back with huge windows and beds facing the screen. One could enter the theater at any time as it was not being monitored by anyone. One could just say, “I’d like three ice creams and four popcorns” and a peppy person would instantly grant all wishes. Better yet, one could just walk behind the counter him/herself and take anything. The same applied to the carts of ice cream and such outside.

I felt happier than I ever have before while I was basically flying on a huge swing at Neverland with nothing but mountains surrounding me all the way to the horizon line.

I felt insanely jealous when my mother informed me that while I was swinging, she had conversed with Jermaine Jackson. I was amused, amazed, and still jealous when she showed me his autograph on her shirt.

As she gave out her last hug and left the area, making me a moment too late to really interact with her, I made eye contact with Katherine Jackson and smiled.

Today I got the chance to wander aimlessly through Neverland Valley Ranch, absorbing its beauty.

I could not comprehend how a man could have so much trust and selflessness as to completely open up all this land to the public and fund an endless supply of food and hundreds of employees for this one event.

I watched a little boy dance to “Black or White” in the middle of the Neverland [Amusement] Park.

I actually slid down the slide, rode the carousel, took the train ride around the property, and spun around in the same “Spider” ride that I’d recognized from various video clips of Michael Jackson and many others in Neverland.

As “Heal the World” played again several hours after my first emotional experience with the song, I looked around myself and saw hundreds of fans of all ages frolicking in complete bliss.

I was in a place today where everyone was free and beautiful. I was so glad that the media was not allowed inside but the helicopters above the ranch would not go away, which made me sad.

I recorded a very emotional message for Michael Jackson and felt so close to him because I knew he’d probably actually see the footage.

As I left Neverland, I wondered where the gift shop was and then realized that I was not at Disneyland but rather, that this is actually someone’s home.

I felt sad leaving Neverland but the “Good-bye for now” sign cheered me up. Then I saw all the news vans right outside heaven Neverland’s gates and felt even more sad.

I did the one thing I’d been dreaming of for months today and I appreciated and loved it more than I can ever explain.

The big name in Bollywood Shahrukh Khan is a great fan of the late Pop singer Michael Jackson. Jermaine Jackson who is currently touring India shooting for a song with Bollywood singer Adnan Sami was heard saying “I think Shahrukh Khan is simply great. Someone who has so much success and still is so humble. He reminds me of my brother Michael. He is so kind and so nice. He deserves everything in the world.”

Jermaine jackson was invited to Shahrukh’s Mannat for a party and Jermaine also said, “I loved Devdas and I loved the house shown in the movie. I thought it actually existed and enquired about it too. Then I was told that it was actually a built-up set.” These days SRK is busy shooting for his forthcoming flick My Name Is Khan opposite the very talented actress Kajol. Dulha Mil Gaya and Koochie Koochie Hota Hain are other upcoming films of the actor.

I think I’m one of the only people I know (and possibly one of the only people in America???) who doesn’t like DWTS, but I watched it on Tuesday for the Michael Jackson tribute
