Season six of HBO's "Entourage" aired during the summer months 2009

The sixth season of Entourage is mostly divided into individual storylines. Vincent (Adrian Grenier), back to A-list status after Martin Scorsese’s Gatsby, is preparing for his next role, starring in an Enzo Ferrari biopic. Left to his own devices by his friends, Vince spends much of the season relaxing and waiting for the shoot to start.
Eric (Kevin Connolly), prompted by ex-girlfriend Sloan (Emmanuelle Chriqui), moves out on his own. Midway through the season, he disbands his company, “The Murphy Group”, and goes to work for veteran manager Murray Berenson. While he starts a relationship with his neighbor Ashley (Alexis Dziena), Eric still pines for Sloan.
Turtle (Jerry Ferrara), who dreams of starting his own business, starts college. He is still together with Jamie-Lynn Sigler and is quickly becoming a celebrity in his own right.
Jamie-Lynn also factors into Johnny Drama’s (Kevin Dillon) storyline, as she guest-stars on his show Five Towns. When the head of production, Dan Coackley (Matt Letscher), makes jokes to Drama about wanting to have sex with Jamie-Lynn, Drama goes crazy and Coackley then takes it on himself to ruin Drama’s character on the show.
Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven) also faces trouble at work. Lloyd (Rex Lee), his assistant, wants to become an agent and Ari has him go through a series of demeaning tests.

Episode 01: Drive
A good season opener with an interesting promise: All boys have the chance to have their own life, the life in the frat house may be over. Turtle has his girlfriend, Drama has his TV show, which he is basically living, E wants to have his own house to live in (with a little bit of help by Sloan, who looks hotter with every season) and Vince is alone at home (very good episode ending). That is probably the theme of the season and I like it, but it is obvious that the guys will find each other again. Maybe in the season finale, maybe earlier. And what is up with Lloyd? He really wants the promotion and really is waiting for like 3 hours in front of Ari’s house. I am thrilled to see his storyline. And Mrs. Ari (Perrey Reeves) was lovely as well, I want to see her far more often, especially after I’ve heard that she was in lingerie in half of her scenes this season.
The episode wasn’t really funny and the little talk show scene with Jay Leno just stinks (I am not used to see Leno that screenplay’d…). But finally the boys have some real private (imtimate) life, that makes the episode better than it actually is. 7,5/10

Episode 02: Amongst Friends
Another good episode with much more comedy in it than the season opener. And with much more relationship trouble for E than before. Sloan has more screentime the last two episodes than ever before, what I like (she should be in the maincast by now); and then there is Ashley. She looks like 14, but is 24? Oh come on… The rest of the couples in the clique was sweet, too. Turtle and Jamie-Lynn are totally for each other, and Drama and his girl Kelly (Azita Ghanizada) were funny, because I first thought he would be dateless at the premiere, especially after her first look, when he talked to her. Ari and Mrs. Ari (oh my God, the definition of a MILF) were funny, I am just asking myself, why she still is in this relationship. Every other woman with a brain in her head would leave the guy. But it is still funny.
The discussion about women banging Seth Rogan was interesting, though. I was asking that myself, after I saw Knocked Up…
The premiere story was alright, I just wished to see Martin Scorcese in a scene, but everything was fine after all. 8/10

Episode 03: One Car, Two Car, Red Car, Blue Car
The episode was good, but it really looks like the boys have their own business to do, and Vince is not running after a movie, because he already prepares for the next one. E has his own management business, Turtle is going back to school, Drama still has his TV show and Vince is bored – and in between some relationship stories and other problems. Not that I don’t like it, but it is kinda awkward to see something different than before.
It is nice to see Turtle in the main story again (and his closet full of shoes and caps – he is like a woman, just as a man… Wait, he is a man-woman, lol) and it is nice to hear that he wants to do his own business again, after he managed Saigon for a short time.
E and Ashley… Well, this could be something. And now I don’t believe anymore that Ashley is so young (actually, she is quite hot). His story with Charlie (Bow Wow) was boring though; it just looked like the writers wanted to finish that story around Charlie, before starting a new one with E. 7,5/10

Episode 04: Running on E
The best episode so far this season. Vince is bored, E is bored, fucks with Ashley and is shutting down the Murphy Group, Drama is looking for an actress he can kiss during a Five Towns episode and Turtle gets new clothes, sponsored by Jamie-Lynn. Meanwhile Ari tries to stop Andrew (Gary Cole) and his affair with Lizzie (Autumn Reeser), fails with that and David Schwimmer has a new series coming up. Okay, the stories couldn’t be more boring, but the execution was just wonderful. The few little jokes were good, Jamie-Lynn was cute as always and Andrew’s drama is surprisingly interesting, because it can affect Ari’s work, and when Ari struggles at work, he is mad as hell, and when Ari is mad as hell, he is a great character.
But there has to be an ongoing story to come. Though it is very interesting to see that the writers manage to write a show without any stories in it, but a season without any actual stories in it could be lame, when you overview the season. Still: best episode so far, and this is a surprise for itself… 8/10

Episode 05: Fore
WTF? This has to be the shortest Entourage episode ever. I was totally surprised how fast this one was finished. And I was surprised how an episode just about golf can be that good. Again, nothing really much happened, but we had lots of troubles into the story. Turtle is hating Jaime’s ex-boyfriend Tom Brady, with whom he is golfing and then Turtle sounds like he wants to fuck Tom – hilarious.
Mark Wahlberg has another larger appearance in Entourage – very interesting, he should be in the show more often.
And E is declining a job offer – just why? Because Sloan has something to do with it? I don’t know why, but I don’t like E’s problems and “hating” Sloan anymore, just because she can’t decide if she is going to have another shot with him or not; this just gets more and more out of character. But I want to see more about the upcoming problems between Ari and Mrs. Ari, now that he lied to her, it could be very interesting to watch. By the way: Ari’s golf partner Jeffrey Tambor was just hilarious with his kids. I would have shot them with the golf balls, with their language on the golf field… 7,5/10

Episode 06: Murphy’s Lie
A really good episode with some really funny moments. First: Vince didn’t even have any much screentime. How many scenes did he have in here? Three, four? One of them a sex scene with a college student. Respect for that. Second: Drama’s story was just funny. Kissing with Jamie-Lynn for his TV series, making fun of Turtle and then fighting for the relationship between the two. Dan is an interesting character and definitely some sort of predator, and his clash with Drama is just awesome. “I didn’t fuck her. But I’m going to” – this makes some promises for future storylines in the rest of the season. Jamie-Lynn can’t be forever Turtle’s girlfriend and the break-up has to come some time, but it actually gives Drama a really nice story: The danger of being fired from the show – which gives the boys all in all the chance to be together again, when everybody loses jobs and girlfriends.
Like E, he lost Ashley, so he can go back to Sloan (please, this storyline has to end now!), but he gets a new job with Murray/Berenson.
How Vince was helping out Drama, while he was fucking the college student – very funny… 8,5/10

Episode 07: No More Drama
An episode between average and good. At least something happened in this episode, even though the stories weren’t really interesting. Vince’s and Turtle’s underwear stealer was nice, but boring; maybe the story is coming back in future episodes, because the stalker thing has some potential.
E’s first day at Murray Berenson’s (George Segal) agency was alright as well, but his fight over Bob Saget with Scotty (Scott Caan) was full of clichés. And I already see it coming that E is starting something with his hot secretary Brittany (Kate Mara). She has the hots for him (well, at least it looks that way), because she is hot enough to be fucked by E. And hopefully everything, before Sloan gets back in E’s life. But it was funny to hear Bob Saget wanting to have sex in Murray’s office. Is he in real life really so open-minded?
Drama’s storyline was nice, too, but this story kind of gets out of hands. When the writers want to fire him from his TV show, they can do it much more faster, but they don’t need to put this story in, which obviously will last the rest of the season (with Drama being fired in the season finale, or the episode before?).
Funniest scene: Ari seeing that the dog is not deaf, just stoned. Muhaha. 7/10

Episode 08: The Sorkin Notes
Muhaha, hilarious episode. And with the length of 23 minutes lots of stuff happened and almost everybody got their own stories (well, except Drama and Turtle, they were in the same bed, so it was funny, too).
I loved Andrew Klein’s story. Not only was he more than crazy while driving into his own house (a real Entourage WTF moment, though his wife Margo was even more crazy), but his closed deal with Aaron Sorkin was just funny. He is signing while talking to Andrew in jail – think about that for a second. That is just crazy and hilarious.
E’s little relationship drama goes into the next round. I didn’t expect that Ashley would return, but now she is responsible for the fact that the E/Sloan story gets along (again, meh). But I found the scene hilarious, when E walked away from Sloan, when he was talking to Ashley over the phone.
Peter Stormare’s guest appearance was really cool, he still has his mafia face on his face. Even though the story with the security system and the Turtle/Drama role-playing and stuff was a bit short, I liked him in the role. And let’s see what the stalker story brings, now they know the name. 8,5/10

Episode 09: Security Briefs
A good episode, even though the whole stalker story had a pretty lame, but funny, outcome. Okay, there was no stalker, so the whole thing about possible stalkers was useless (Ashley? The creepy guy from the S/M shop?). But the college prank with the girls wearing Turtles underwear (why would they do that at all?) was super funny.
As well as Frank Darabont being armed in public.
As well as the scene with Zac Efron (double-LOL, the mother was pretty crazy).
As well a s the scene with Lloyd in Ari’s car after the little crash. Finally Lloyd is saying some words about the whole situation and it should be pretty clear that Ari is trying everything to get him back. And how Ari screamed after Lloyd, when he was abandoning him – I think I never heard Ari screaming after Lloyd that loud. And now Ari has to live without Lloyd as an assistant. It will be a hard time for Ari.
The little side plot with Ashley’s paranoia was kind of useless here. But it seems like there is something coming in the next three episodes. Right now she is just annoying me. 8/10

Episode 10: Berried Alive
Another good episode, it seems like the sixth season isn’t really a highlight, but isn’t really lame at one point. I loved Turtle’s love triangle problems, because it pushes him into a bigger story again. But the cliffhanger was obvious since the beginning of Turtle’s relationship with Jamie-Lynn. It is obvious that his relationship with Jamie-Lynn won’t survive the season, and with her heading off to New Zealand for a new show the relationship can end, Jamie-Lynn doesn’t have to appear in Entourage anymore (she is only a guest character after all) and Turtle is the second-row character again like he was in the seasons before. By the way: I noticed he isn’t wearing caps anymore since he is in school, he is really developing as a character…
Ari’s little feud with Lloyd is interesting as well, maybe the writers have some balls and actually give Lloyd a separate story and not letting him return to Ari in some way. Not only would it mean that Lloyd is treated as an important character, like Ari, and not just as an assistant.
Drama in the new Melrose Place? Muhaha, I almost had to laugh. Especially because Melrose Place flopped on The CW. But his story with the agent clash Ari/Lloyd is pretty interesting.
And E is finally breaking up with Ashley, but I don’t think this story is already over. It was over once and it came back again, and the season has another two episodes. Maybe we see Ashley again as a crazy woman. 7,5/10

Episode 11: Scared Straight
Wow, did I hear E saying he wants to have a relationship with Sloan? Does that mean this story will be over in the season finale? Does that mean we have Emanuelle Chriqui far more often as guest in the seventh season, maybe in the main cast? Does that mean we have E/Sloan relationship trouble in the next season? At least the story will be finished next episode, the whole drama about that was hanging outside my ears already.
Other than that it was a good episode. Drama with an almost heart attack while auditioning for Melrose Place (ironic, how The CW earned bad ratings with the show at the same time this episode was aired on HBO), E probably with a disease, after he fucked a girl. who fucked oractically every second guy in Hollywood, Vince with another girlfriend of the episode (how many did he have this season? He isn’t chasing for a film this season, he is chasing for fucks of the episode…) and Turtle and Jamie-Lynn with their break-up story. It was obvious that this had to come, like I said, she can’t play Turtle’s girlfriend for the rest of the series, even though it would be nice to see an actress playing herself in a series as a regular. That doesn’t happen very often in this world…
The little side plot with Ari and his old nemesis Terrance (Malcolm McDowell) was interesting, and not just because he has the chance to be the boss of the biggest agency in the world, which is practically a huge step in things of character development. 8/10

Episode 12: Give a Little Bit
A solid season finale, even though I couldn’t really stand every story. E and Sloan being engaged now is a bit funny, in a bad way. I don’t know if the writers plan to give E a more settled relationship in the next season (and bringing Emanuelle Chriqui into the maincast) or if it is just the beginning for giving him a more drama-related story. Let’s see in the next season.
Turtle is about to fly to Jamie-Lynn, when she calls him and breaks up for good. This was a story I saw coming for the whole season. Only a bummer that the probably best storyline for Turtle in the whole series is over now. But maybe the writers can surprise me somehow and pick this story up in the next season.
Drama back in TV business (or not) – his back and forth kinda sucked. Either he quits acting, or he goes to the auditions and gets his parts (or in this case a holding contract), but I don’t need the back and forth; I already saw that in this season with E and Sloan.
Vincent didn’t have anything to do here, like the rest of the season, but I don’t give a shit about that, because he had his Enzo Ferrari movie, before the season even began.
But the story around Ari was funny as hell and the most interesting one. Not only will he be the most powerful agent in Hollywood (which hopefully gives him a bit more story in the next season), but his Terminator-styled execution of fat in Terrance’s agency was just hilariously funny. Especially when he terminated Adam Davies (Jordan Belfi). I couldn’t breath while I was laughing. “You’re about to get fired.” Peng, peng, peng. Muhaha; so crazy and so funny, a highlight in the series and obviously a lot of fun for Jeremy Piven. And Lloyd is now a full agent in the company, would be interesting to know how long that will take and who is going to be the new permanent assistant of Ari. 7,5/10

Season average is 7,79. Now I can finally wait for the seventh season to air sometimes during the summer months.

Click here for my review of the fourth season.

Entourage’s fifth season leaves our movie star in a pickle: his big Oscar shot, Medellin, is a dismal failure, and Vincent (Adrian Grenier) has burrowed away to Mexico to drown his sorrows in booze and women. How does a once-promising actor get his confidence, legitimacy, and bankability back? That’s the key premise this time around, and like some of its previous seasons, is always more interesting when Vince is struggling than when he’s on top. Once his boys, manager Eric (Kevin Connolly), big brother Johnny Drama (Kevin Dillon), agent Ari (Jeremy Piven), and driver Turtle (Jerry Ferrara), convince Vince to get back in the game, he finds many once-welcoming doors closed.
In this season, can the guys put the Medellin fiasco behind them and orchestrate a career comeback for Vince?

Episode 01: Fantasy Island
A good season opener with a bit of Medellin aftermath and a back-to-business story. I liked Vince on the Mexican beach, partly trying to forget Medellin, party having his fun with Turtle and lots of girls. And with the beard, Adrian Grenier looked a few years older – very nice. and now I am hungry for a deserted Mexican beach with hot girls, that just looked awesome.
The rest of the episode was good as well. E has a client, which he is trying to get into the TV business; Ari is mad as hell (I loved his yell moment, when he came into the office, and especially his “I skull-fuck you” to Adam Davies [Jordan Belfi]). That Vince was just set up to get Emilie Hirsch the role for a new movie was a story for half of an episode, but it was alright – as long as it got Vince back home from Mexico. Now, the boys can start rolling again and begin to go up the way of fame again.
Drama’s little side plot with the photo shoot was okay, too. Not really the burner, but I liked Ben Silverman’s cameo in here, and not just because he was named the “party king” of all network CEOs, especially a few years, before he got “fired”…
The episode wasn’t used for more, so it was a good introduction into the story. The Medellin story is over, time to begin a new one. 7,5/10

Episode 02: Unlike a Virgin
A good episode, but I kinda miss the story of Vince being out of money. I wondered myself during the season premiere how Vince could afford his life as a king on the Mexican beach and now it looks like the boys don’t really have much money problems – they live pretty much normal. So, where is the story, which was prepared in the last season?
Other than that: I liked the returns of Leighton Meester and Carla Gugino, though their characters were unnecessary for the story. It almost looked like the writers wanted to bring Amanda back (btw: Carla doesn’t look better with the shorter hair, but she looks like a real agent in Entourage), and wanted to write some relationship stuff in for Vince.
The side plots were alright. It is nice to see Drama in a relationship, but Jaqueline (Julia Levy-Boeken) already annoys the shit out of me, and both of them being jealous about each other’s private lifes is not really funny, instead just awkward. And E trying to sign the two writers was a nice plot, maybe the writers of Entourage have a little story prepared for E as a manager, who’s managing not only Vince. That Vince wants to act like a real movie star is nice though. And pretty nice was the question he asked Ari: Is he really a good actor? Something I asked myself during the series – hey, this is character development! 7/10

Episode 03: The All Out Fall Out
LOOOOOOOOOOOOL, hilarious episode. I just hope the rest of the season is as funny as this episode. First: I couldn’t even believe Vince is doing the Sweet 16 party, and then he sings “I Can’t Take My Eyes Of You”, together with Drama, who has a lovesickness, after the break-up with Jaqueline, and throws up on the birthday cake – hi-la-ri-ous. Seriously.
The other hilarious story was the clash between Ari and Adam Davies. First the pretty suspenseful high speed chase on the streets; every other drama show would have written an accident in it, but in Entourage, everything was fun. But I really had to laugh about the two cop strippers in front of Ari – ROFL: First I thought they really wanted to bust Ari, after he sent the 100 bucks with human shit to Adam, but then they started the music and danced their cocks around Ari. Fucking hilarious, I couldn’t stop laughing. And then Adam sends Ari a picture of Mrs. Ari (Perrey Reeves), while nude on one of her films – hilarious. Then Ari gave Adam a bitchslap in front of his colleagues – hilarious. I loved that episode. Adam is a totally cool character for such a storyline, and I just loved that one in here. Super funny.
The rest of the episode was good as well. E’s screenplay is liked by Edward Norton, and it’s going to be a studio movie – a chance for Vince for a comeback in the business? 9/10

Episode 04: Fire Sale
Wow, the writers always do the same shit: One offer is almost sealed, and at the end of the episode, another, even better, offer is coming and destroys all of Vince’s hope. E and Ari sold the screenplay for 500.000 bucks, and Vince as the second lead, and then Ed Norton comes back, doubled the offer and has Allen back in business, who definitely doesn’t want to hire Vince as second lead – WTF, that was a real cliffhanger here, even though we had the same cliffhanger in probably five previous episodes. Apart from that, I actually liked the fact that Vince is accepting the second lead to get back into business. Like in the second episode of the season, this is character development. He has to get back into the business, and he is doing baby steps, this is very nice.
The side plot with Drama was kinda hilarious. His performance on The View was awkward, but it actually gave him a nice character scene, apart from all the rest he gave in this episode. But I was laughing, when he threw his pants on the cop. And nice to see Shauna (Debi Mazar) back for the second episode in a row. I just love her, she should be more often on Entourage again. 7,5/10

Episode 05: Tree Trippers
The episode was good, though the whole tripping storyline was a bit over the top and awkward for me. To see the boys tripping, because of mushrooms can be funny, but the episode actually wasn’t really funny. Not even Eric Roberts wasn’t funny, and not just because he was missing during the night scenes. And the writers could have done more with Ari being lost in the desert and talking to Lloyd (Rex Lee), having a party in Ari’s house, over the phone. But I liked the “decision to make” story instead – Benji or Smokejumpers, one of the movies is the next one Vince is going to do.
Unfortunately the episode didn’t really have an interesting side plot. We only had Lloyd and Tom (Brandon Quinn) doing a party in Ari’s house, and Mrs. Ari wanting to return earlier. And even though Ari could convince his son to stay longer, she returned anyway. Sometimes I could think Mrs. Ari is short before getting crazy, after all the things Ari did, but after every time, she really loves him and we see the two (almost) fucking together. 7,5/10

Episode 06: ReDOMption
Who would have thought, Allen (Paul Ben-Victor) as a heart attack, while having joy about Ari losing a bet, and dies at the end. I didn’t know if I should laugh, because it brings Vince back to the movie, without living through Allen, or if I should cry, because Ari thinks life is short. But it is a story development. With Allen dead, Vince has a shot for the second lead in Smokejumpers. That the writers brought Bob (Martin Landau) back for this episode was okay, but I didn’t need him, and the whole golf game wasn’t really a source for funny scenes.
The side plots were alright. Even Dom (Domenick Lombardozzi) was likable in this episode, but gladly it was just for this one. At least it really looks like he had his redemption, since he has a family. And it was nice of him not to bail.
Turtle being Drama’s assistant for a day was kinda awesome. On one hand, Turtle couldn’t live up to Drama’s diva status, on the other hand Turtle was Drama’s best assistant ever. And how I laughed, when Turtle quit at the end and let Drama walk alone home.
The episode was alright, nothing special; it just prepares the Smokejumpers story. 6,5/10

Episode 07: Gotta Look Up To Get Down
Wow, the whole story about Ari probably taking the offer as head of the studio and how the episode ended, it could have been the season finale. It is really an intriguing story, and one of the most suspenseful right now – is Ari taking the position or not? Either he ends his career as Vince’s agent and ends an almost lifelong business relationship with a close friendship, but Vince could take any movie he wants, or Ari declines on the position, doesn’t secure his future, but still remains as Ari’s agent, without any changes in his life. After all, Miller/Gold is running perfectly, and why risking the future for a position as head of the studio, when Ari can’t do the job? Seriously, it could have been the season finale.
The side plot with Vince taking the model job for one day was good also, and of course he fucked his model partner Natasha (Daniella Van Graas), which got her fired from the job. I liked how Vince took the situation in his own hand to learn the truth about her being fired, while the running gags about Turtle and Drama not getting any models to fuck were running as well.
Eric’s little side plot with Raina (Maria Zyrianova) was hilarious. She needs a manager, she needs somebody to fuck – in E she has both. Hilarious, especially the end, when she touched his private parts…
Surprisingly a good episode. 8/10

Episode 08: First Class Jerk
A good episode with the big topic “Is Ari going to take the position as head of studio?” It was really an interesting story, but in the middle of the season, it was kinda obvious that Ari wouldn’t take the job. When it was really the season finale, the writers could have thought about a change in Ari’s career, and I am pretty sure this will come sometimes during the run of the series. But how the writers handled this story here, was absolutely good. Ari gives Dana (Constance Zimmer) the position to blindside Amanda (so that’s why she came back this season), so Ari has a good and friendly contact in the studio. That means, Vince gets the second lead in Smokejumpers and his resurrection in Hollywood can begin. Happy End for everybody.
Frank Darabont offering Vince a role in his TV series was good as well, because I was thinking about that storyline for the series finale. And I am pretty sure this story will come back as well sometimes.
The side plot with Turtle and Jamie-Lynn Siegler was hilarious. Not only that everybody couldn’t believe she jerked him off in first class, but that she actually did was just hilarious (“I would have fucked him, when he would have shut his mouth”). I didn’t know that Jamie-Lynn could be that funny here. 7,5/10

Episode 09: Pie
A good episode, and it is nice to see that Vince takes his job seriously for a change. I didn’t see that throughout the series, but this time it looks like he wants to do the movie good, so he can climb up in Hollywood again. That he clashes with Jason Patric is an interesting story for the next couple of episodes, and that the producers are showing one of Vince’s movie shoots again, is surprising – especially after they wanted to handle all the movies he is shooting between the seasons, but this one is the second exception they did in the series (the first one being Medellin in “Welcome to the Jungle”). The boys’ plan to get back at Jason were hilarious. Turtle steals his Jason’s chair (how can anybody cry about a chair), while Drama takes a shit in Jason’s trailer (“Flush next time”). Only Verner (Stellan Skarsgård) as German director is ridiculous.
The side plot with Ari and Andrew Klein (Gary Cole) was alright, it prepares the next season, but it was kinda boring here. It only shows Ari buying companies, so his can grow bigger and bigger. And to write a bit of trouble into this story, Barbara (Beverly D’Angelo) is against buying Andrew’s company. 7,5/10

Episode 10: Seth Green Day
The episode was good, but the stories were a bit lame. All three of them. It is interesting to see that Vince has problems with a director, but the story was way too full of clichés, especially since it is obvious that the production will bomb itself, when Verner does his things the way he planned to do. But I still like the fact that Vice is now listening to the people he is talking with.
The feud between E and Seth Green goes into a next round, after the studio wants Charlie’s (Bow Wow) pilot script only with Seth Green attached. Okay, the writers prepare here for the sixth season, but Sloan’s (Emmanuelle Chriqui) appearance was completely unnecessary. And Seth Green comes over too much as a dick, you really see he is playing more of a character than himself. I don’t know why the writers didn’t give him a written character.
Ari’s story with bringing Andrew into the company was okay, too. But this whole things goes into a clash between Ari and Barbara, and it should be obvious that both of them will fight for and against Andrew, with one of them probably losing the partnership. And it won’t be Ari, because he already lost his job once…
And the episode wasn’t even really funny. 6,5/10

Episode 11: Play’n With Fire
A good episode with an awesome Stellan Skarsgård. I loved him playing crazy director in this episode, especially in the studio, when he was about to blow up like a bomb.
That Smokejumpers would bomb during the production was already predicted during the last episode, and it is a good story plot in this episode to send Vince and the boys back home to Queens. I really liked the last scene – the boys flying commercial, having nothing; they tried to put the Medellin fiasco behind them, but Hollywood doesn’t have open doors for Vince.
The side plot were alright. Ari and Dana had some screentime together again (they definitely need more), and I wished Dana would somehow be involved more in Vince’s “hunt for a movie” plot, because I like her as a character; and Turtle is dating Jamie-Lynn for a day, which prepares their relationship in the next season. And we even had a revelation in this episode: Turtle’s name is Sal – I would have thought his name would be revealed in the seventh season, because the producers said that once during a DVD audio commentary. Well, Jamie-Lynn and Turtle have great chemistry, and a relationship looks good on Turtle for a change. 8/10

Episode 12: Return to Queens Blvd
It was a good season finale, and with Vince landing a lead in a Martin Scorsese movie, the story about Vince being without money, without luck and without success finally has an ending. More to that, I liked the boys back home, because it got some sense of family to all the characters. Vince and Drama are spending time with their mother (Mercedes Ruehl), and even Turtle’s mother (Camille Saviola) is up to speed and listens in to her son’s sex with Jamie-Lynn over the phone – hilarious.
The boys, especially Vince and E, being separated for a while (either because of a dispute or something else) was indeed an interesting story, it is just a shame it was only a story for one episode. I would have liked to see a story arc with E not being Vince’s manager for a while.
The little side plot with E trying to get Vince into the next Gus Van Sant movie was alright, but it just brought us two things: the introduction to Martin Scorsese calling for Vince, and another high-profile director playing himself in Entourage. So, pretty much useless.
And Turtle and Jamie-Lynn are really cute together. His mother listening into their phone talk was seriously unforgettable. 8/10

Season average is 7,54. I didn’t even expected to finish the fifth season within 24 hours of posting the review of the fourth season. I must be addicted to that show. Season six coming up very soon.

Sure it would be great to have it all, but at what price? For Vince (Adrian Grenier), Eric (Kevin Connolly), Drama (Kevin Dillon) and Turtle (Jerry Ferrara), life in Hollywood’s fast lane can be an intoxicating ride. In the fourth season, in fact, Eric and Vince have taken on new roles as producers, having all the control about their movie “Medellin”. Vince and Eric clash over the ability of the film’s director, Billy Walsh (Rhys Coiro), to handle the grand scale of the film. Will their film be hailed as a critical masterpiece, or will it end up on the trash heap of broken Tinseltown dreams?
Meanwhile, as the pet project puts strains on their friendship, Eric finally takes a step off of Vince’s coattails to become a manager in his own right, while the buzz on “Medellin” ebbs and flows throughout the season.

Episode 01: Welcome to the Jungle
Awesome episode. A mixture of mockumentary and a “normal” episode, with the exception that this one actually shows a shoot of one of Vince’s movies. And I liked every single second of it.
The episode had some first, beneath showing an actual shoot of Vince’s movie: It has a cold open, Ari (Jeremy Piven) doesn’t talk to somebody over the phone (but he has one in his hands), and it seems to be the most expensive episode to date, and not just because of the sets and the explosions at the end. I really wonder, how much the episode cost.
I really start to fall in love with Billy. He is such a crazy character, I want Rhys Coiro in the main cast. How he played crazy was just awesome, especially when Billy believed somebody would fuck his favorite actress (Sofía Vergara). Nobody knew who the guy was, and then Drama confesses. Muhaha.
The ending was nice as well: “Either it’s gonna be genius or it’s gonna fucking suck, but until I’ve seen the first cut, I have no idea. But you know what: Neither does anybody else.” It is almost a foreshadowing of what’s to come, especially Vince’s and E’s face, when Billy said that.
Best Entourage season opener so far. 9/10

Episode 02: The First Cut is the Deepest
Billy’s mother didn’t like the movie, E didn’t like the movie, Vince is blown away, and Billy totally went crazy. Medellin is on the thin line – what will happen?
Good episode with a hilarious first half and a boring second half. I liked Vince and E running after Billy, who escaped before screening the first draft; this was between really hilarious and seriously ridiculous, especially Billy escaping with his Harley. And – what the fuck – how stoned was Billy’s girlfriend Catherine (Michelle Lombardo), please? And, damn, she has hot pants…
That Medellin won’t be a success, is already very much obvious. Two people, who saw it, say it sucks, everybody is thinking it sucks, and Vince is not getting any new offers.
Meanwhile, the party Drama was hosting was alright, just not a story for me. It was just ridiculous, how he got his apartment secured, and not really hilariously ridiculous.
The side plot with Ari trying to keep his son in private school was really cool. Not only brought it Mrs. Ari (Perrey Reeves) back into the story (and directly into the main cast), but I could just rofl that he was the reason, why his son isn’t accepted in private school, just because the board doesn’t want to have a father, always on the phone, swearing in the school halls. Well, I can understand them… 7/10

Episode 03: Malibooty
They got into Cannes, which means Medellin might still be good.
Good episode with a hilarious side plot and an alright main plot, but not really a highlight in the series. So, now Ari knows that E didn’t like Medellin, but nevertheless E manages it to sell the movie to Harvey (Maury Chaykin), and he did it just with a trailer. It is really cool to bring Harvey back in connection with Medellin, because I liked his “madness” during the Sundance episode, when he was flipping out. Harvey gets some more chances to flip out in the near future, especially when he doesn’t like Medellin.
The side plot with Drama and Turtle was hilarious. I couldn’t do anything but laugh, when Turtle was short before fucking the big-breasted old woman. And short before he is getting down that road, he gets Drama’s fuck for the day, and Drama gets his ass cleaned. ROFL.
The rest was okay. No Mrs.Ari, not much of Ari, not much of Billy. This was Entourage average. 6,5/10

Episode 04: Sorry, Harvey
LOOOOOOL, the mayor does it with a trannie. ROFL. Hilarious. And Harvey gets nuts again and wants to kill everybody. Hilarious. And Ari spends the night in jail, just because he was running after M. Night Shyamalan’s screenplay and read it while in jail. Muhaha. Awesome episode.
Though the origins of the storyline with Drama and the Mayor of Beverly Hills (Steven Tobolowsky) was boring, I totally liked that he wanted to be “pimped up” with Vince on his side, so he can get a hot girl to fuck. But instead he gets a trannie, and TMZ.com has a video of it, and the video was hilarious.
Meanwhile E tries to tell Harvey that Medellin can’t be sold to him, but Harvey’s blood pressure is off the charts, and when he gets mad, he lets his knifes speak for him. The scene in the club was just hilarious; first he kills the server, then Drama tells him about not selling the movie. OMG.
And M. Night Shyamalan – ROFL, he shoots a commercial at a cemetary and he has a new screenplay. I loved the scene, when Ari brought back the other guy’s car and probably ended a marriage with that; I so had to laugh. 8,5/10

Episode 05: The Dream Team
Boring episode. What was the story here? After all, somebody leaked the Medellin trailer, and now the film has some buzz and Vince has some offers on the table. And Drama smokes pot – there is nothing more. Which is a shame, because the episode was really lame and one of the weakest so far in the series. The episode didn’t even had some funny moments. Instead Drama’s storyline about getting a card for medical marijuana, just to get a “cool” hat, was just ridiculous, not funny, and stupid. Not even Turtle had some funny moments in this episode.
The only shining moment was the clash between E and Billy. E can’t stand him anymore, after he got Medellin to Cannes (which means no final cut for the film, which means the film could fail). Billy’s shirt at the end (Suit Sucks) was hilarious, and at least this story prepares E’s character development, when he is getting himself a name in Hollywood as a manager.
Well, really boring episode. Not even Dana Gordon (Constance Zimmer) could save it; and Ari’s efforts to manipulate Josh Weinstein, so Heath Ledger would not take the movie “Lost in a Clouds”, so Vince can play the main role… 5/10

Episode 06: The WeHo Ho
The episode was alright, but like the last episode, it was totally forgettable. E hates Billy’s guts and wants him off the next movie; Billy hates E, but he doesn’t want to say it, and Vince and Ari have difficulties to bring those two squabblers together. It is an interesting story, but it makes Billy unlikable as a character, and it lets the story stand still. Especially the story about Vince’s new movie, for which E wants to have another director.
Ari’s little side plot with Lloyd (Rex Lee) was hilarious, I didn’t even know Ari liked Lloyd that much. And Lloyd was really cute in his lovesickness, and it was just hilarious, when Ari showed up in front of Tom (Brandon Quinn), getting a story straight so Lloyd can be back with Tom again.
Only the other side plot with Turtle and Drama was … stupid (again) – what was the real meaning of the auction? Didn’t the writers find some stories for the two, which brings them together with Vince and E? It looks like Vince/E and Turtle/Drama have totally different storylines now, and it doesn’t look good for the series. 6/10

Episode 07: The Day Fuckers
LOL. Though not the whole episode was funny, but it was at least a bit better than the last two. I still have a problem with the fact, that the writers don’t really have interesting stories for all the characters. The boys are betting, who gets the first chick to fuck (E, who needs to have emotionless sex, after his relationship troubles; or Turtle, who needs to get laid again), while Ari tries everything to get his son into private school. yeah, not really interesting storylines, but on one hand, we get the boys back together, on the other hand we see Mrs. Ari again and she really resembles her husband, with screaming and swearing over the phone.
I don’t know what to make of the writers bringing back Sloan (Emmanuelle Chriqui) for this episode – it wasn’t even necessary. But Turtle’s furry chick was hilarious, and he looked way too ROFL in the bunny outfit. The last picture of the episode was hilarious as well, but I can’t understand, why Turtle didn’t close. Even I would have fucked that chick in the bunny costume. Tztztz. 6,5/10

Episode 08: Gary’s Desk
“Where is my fucking kid?” I could always rofl, when Shauna (Debi Mazar) is on-screen. It is a shame that she wasn’t a real main cast during the third season, and that the writers never found a real story for her. At least she is not forgotten and has a genius return in this episode, even though for only one scene.
The rest of the episode was alright, but nothing special. The clash in Miller/Gold were partly hilarious, partly ridiculous. The story about a guy fucking his twin brother’s wife, is hilarious, but what the two brothers did in the office during the day was just blah. But it looked nice, how Ari fired both of them.
E pulling up his own management office was a nice story, and he does it without any help from any side. That the rest of the boys wanted to give E a “fuckable” office desk, was a nice story, and it brought Gary Busey back (this guy scares the shit outta me), but it has no worth at the end, which makes the whole episode a bit blah. The on-going story is missing… 6,5/10

Episode 09: The Young and the Stoned
A good episode. Finally, after the last four lame ones. Anna Faris crashes into E’s car, which is the beginning of a very nice story for him (and her; I like Anna Faris, but she stars in really shitty movies), while the boys have a nice little party at the condo, together with some nice and hot chicks. And an annoying one. Finally the writers didn’t pick Drama for a ridiculous storyline, instead they chose Turtle to be the leader of his own side plot, and it was an amusing one. The scene with the cop was hilarious, and the annoying chick was really annoying – I would have kicked her out of the car, but one of the boys needed a chick to fuck, so…
Ari’s plot with Mrs. Ari was hilarious. She stars in The Young and the Restless as town slut again, and Ari is completely jealous. I loved every moment of it, especially when Ari hit the screen of the TV, because he couldn’t believe is wife just kisses Javier (Xavier Torres). Muhaha. 7/10

Episode 10: Snow Job
Another good episode, and it seems like the writers saw that they were writing shit together during the season. For Vince and Billy, “Clouds” is finished, instead Billy wrote a complete different screenplay. But instead kicking out Billy off the story (he kinda annoyed me here, though I like him as a character), Vince got Billy’s screenplay to a studio and there is probably the next summer hit. Well, I can’t believe it; and the Medellin story seems to stand still right now, fortunately the Cannes episodes are coming up. But one thing was really funny: Ari annoying the hell outta Dana’s boss Wimmer (John Heard), when he comes out of the shower… ROFL
The side plot with E managing Ana Faris during a photo shoot was good, but the story with her annoying boyfriend Dave (A.J. Buckley) was stereotype, and I didn’t like him. Stupid character, stupid interactions with the other characters, stupid ending. And not to mention, that the relationship of E and Vince is now troubled with E being not only a manager for Vince. 7,5/10

Episode 11: No Cannes Do
The pre-season finale, and it was a good one. It was basically a “hanging around” on LAX, just because of cancelled flights. But this was actually a nice foreshadowing of stories to come in the next season: The boys and Ari have to take a commercial flight to Cannes, because they don’t have any real money for a private jet. But I think the whole terrorist think could have been cut from the screenplay, because it brought nothing, except a few lame jokes. The writers put the boys anyway on a flight at the end of the episode, and I didn’t even need Sydney Pollack or Kanye as guest stars here.
The little side plots with E/Anna and Ari/Mrs. Ari were alright. The short story of E being Anna’s manager is already over, after the “awkward” moment between them, and Mrs. Ari doesn’t know whether she should hate her husband for not accompanying him to Canes, or she should be happy about him, because Cannes is a big step for him as a manager as well.
Not really funny, but the episode prepared the season finale, and for that it was good enough. 7/10

Episode 12: The Cannes Kids
A good season finale, and it had everything, what I wanted from an Entourage season finale. It had a suspenseful storyline with the offers for Medellin (it was especially a duel between Dana Gordon and Yair, but only because Ari wanted it to happen), and did I scream WTF, when Yair [Asaaf Cohen] called Nick [Adam Goldberg] and offered him 75 million dollar for the movie. This alone is pretty much *shock*, especially after Ari and the boys made a deal with Dana Gordon just before.
Well, and of course Medellin flops and nobody wants to have to do anything with the movie. Billy is pissed, because nobody understands the movie, and even Vince totally liked it during the screening, while the rest was sleeping…
The side plot with Drama was really cool, now he has his romantic storyline, and it suits him. Finally he is happy for a day, he is out of the boys’ club for a day and found his love. Now Drama is the relationship guy.
This must be the end of the Medellin story. Harvey buys the movie for a dollar, it goes straight to DVD and Vince and E have to deal with the fact that they are broke. It will be an interesting fifth season.
I liked the soundtrack of this episode, though I am not a hip hop/rap fan, but I was nodding my head to the music. 8/10

Season average is 7,04. It looks like the other shows have to wait, until I have finished Entourage. Seasons five and six coming up very soon.

Click here for my Season 2 overview.

Entourage continues in its third season with the Aquaman plotline, as the film premieres and becomes a huge hit at the box office. Problems arise however when Medellin, Vince’s (Adrian Grenier) dream project about the life of Pablo Escobar, conflicts with the schedule of Aquaman 2. Either he stars in one of the movies, or he declines them both.
Ari (Jeremy Piven) meanwhile has to juggle his new, failing, business with keeping Vince happy. Even though Ari manages to set up a successful new agency with the help of Barbara Miller (Beverly D’Angelo), it leads him to neglect his star client.
E’s (Kevin Connolly) relationship with Sloan (Emmanuelle Chriqui) comes into question when he has a threesome with her and her friend, to whom E is attracted.
Near the end of the season, Drama (Kevin Dillon) finally lands his big break as he’s signed on to the new series Five Towns. Turtle’s (Jerry Ferrara) career as a music manager ends unceremoniously when he is bought out by Saigon’s original manager.

Episode 01: Aquamom
Interesting and good opener to the third season. The Aquaman premiere is on the plan, and I had to smile, when the three moms got off the plane and hugged their sons.
The storyline with Vince wanting his mom Rita (Mercedes Ruehl) to attend the premiere was a good story, and finally the writers included the entourage’s family in the story. Though it was obvious that Vince’s mom didn’t step foot on the plane, it was a sweet moment, when all three moms got out of the plane.
The rest of the episode was good. Turtle and Drama invite the hottest chicks in the town to the premiere, and clashing with James Woods (muhaha), while Ari finds himself in his new office. Rex Lee put some pounds on (compare his appearance in this episode with his first appearance in the second season, he definitely gained weight) and Mrs. Ari (Perrey Reeves) has to pay things for him. Nothing more, nothing less – the season premiere has the aftermath of the Aquaman production as a topic and doesn’t even begin new storylines. 7,5/10

Episode 02: One Day in the Valley
Awesome episode. And I would totally watch the Aquaman movie based on the one scene we saw in here. Though I didn’t like the story that the big numbers of the opening day were threatened by blackouts, I loved how everybody reacted on that. Ari didn’t want to have sex with his wife (WTF? He rejects having sex with the hottest MILF in Hollywood? How stupid is he?), the boys are on the streets to waste the day away and land on a high school party (this is already hilarious, and not just because Drama has some “flashbacks” to the good old days back in New York) and the writers didn’t start some new storylines in this episode as well. The opening day story could have been easily in the season premiere, but the writers had to separate premiere and opening day, just to show Vince’s biggest movie in his career (by the way: That brings me to the conclusion, the series will end with Vince getting an Academy Award, lol).
Vince should have jumped into the pool during his Almost Famous moment, it already was interesting to see the resemblance to that movie in here… 8,5/10

Episode 03: Dominated
And there we have the first storyline of the season and it came directly from New York. Dom (Domenick Lombardozzi) is an interesting character and it already seems that he will be causing some trouble in the near future. And as Turtle stated: Five don’t work, four is a good number.
The Aquaman story is still running with the theme park, but this was actually a pretty boring story. Dom could have been an interesting character, but he was annoying my ass off very fast, though a few scenes with him were funny (not just his sex scene in the morning and his entrance in the kitchen afterward)
The side plot with child star Max (Cole Petersen) dating Ari’s daughter Sarah (Cassidy Lehrman) was hilarious – talk about twelve-year-old snobs; oh my God, what is Max for a character? I seriously had to laugh during that story. How Max dealt with Ari… hilarious. 7/10

Episode 04: Guys and Doll
So, Dom is still in the story, and he does everything from being Vince’s new entourage member to costing Vince Medellin with him stealing a Shrek doll (muhaha to that). I am kinda surprised that Dom gets such a big storyline as a recurring character, but I still don’t like him, though the idea of one more member in the entourage is pretty good. And, who knows, maybe the writers were planning to bring Dom into the main cast, when he would be the source for good stories. Or they just wanted to test, how a fiver entourage would work.
But what was really interesting is the return of the Medellin script. I already forgot it and then Ari trashed all the offers for new movies into the can, before he came with Medellin still alive. At least the story of the season begins and Vince is now running after a movie he wants to produce – even though it takes the whole season to do that.
Oh yeah: Cuntmuscle? Holy Christ, that was funny… 7,5/10

Episode 05: Crash and Burn
Aquaman versus Medellin. You really can see that Vince grows up. He fights to do Medellin, but he doesn’t want to lose Aquaman. And after this episode you could think he loses both movies. And how was Michael Bay feeling, when he was watching the episode and had to see that Vince totally didn’t want do do Aquaman 2 without James Cameron? And I could understand him. You can work once with Michael Bay, but then you have to act in a movie, instead of look pretty.
I liked Vince’s story and the mess he was in. Either one movie or the other, but fate doesn’t want him to do both. And the episode cliffhanger with his negotiation talents: What the fuck; Vince was already knowing that he will be out of the movie after this.
The side plot with Ari sending Max (“Dakota Fanning with a dick.” Muhaha) to a film shoot in Kazakhstan was hilarious. Especially when Mrs. Ari learns the truth and is just disgusted by Ari and his work methods. It is kind of a shame that Max is gone now, I loved the little clash they had on Max’s door step. LOL to that.
Great episode. 8,5/10

Episode 06: Three’s Company
A seriously good episode. Vince is fucked, Ari had his best freakout-moment since he got fired from his last job and E has a threesome with Sloan and Tori (Malin Akerman). All stories were somewhat hilarious, especially during the threesome discussion I had some things to laugh about. And not just because E was unsure about Sloan’s offer to have a threesome.
So, it looks like the Aquaman story is over with Alan fucking Ari as well as Vince and giving Jake Gyllenhall the role, while Benicio was cast for Medellin.
While old stories were continued, we have two new stories beginning here: First Lloyd managing to bring Drama to the audition for the Ed Burns pilot, and then Lloyd actually managing to do a job nobody did in the agency. And I loved the scene, when Ari was about to slam the monitor on the ground and throw something on Lloyd – hilarious.
A seriously hilarious episode, I was laughing. Please give us more threesomes, or at least discussions about threesomes. 8,5/10

Episode 07: Strange Days
I never would have thought that E’s threesome would have such a big aftermath. It was almost like he really fell in love with Tori or he just felt the need to fuck her hard, because he couldn’t get her during the threesome. And even though I could believe that Eric was not that kind of guy, who falls in love with another girl and screw her around with resulting in hurting Sloan, but this whole mess was kinda over the top at the end, and I hope this story is really over, though I am waiting for E and Sloan to break up.
Ari gets 11 million from Terrance (Malcolm McDowell) and thinks about starting his own business – about time. And of course Adam Davies (Jordan Belfi) is the wasp in the honey and wants in. On one hand, it is a developing story for Ari, being part of the biggest agency in town, on the other hand it could mean a big clash against Terrance.
The charity story was alright, we almost didn’t see anything of it, but I liked how Vince “bailed out”. 7/10

Episode 08: The Release
Holy fuck, shit happened in this episode. The studio wants to release Queens Boulevard (never thought the story would come back) in color and re-edited on 1200 screens, and Billy (Rhys Coiro, nice that he’s back, and as angry as always) and Vince are totally not happy about it. I loved the press conference at the end, which shows that everybody, except Ari and the studio execs, stand behind the art of the movie and not the money.
The big side plot involving Ari and his new agency was awesome. The writers brought back cocksucker Babs (I can’t believe the running gag with her being a man in the business is always working – I am laughing every time) for that and partnered her up with Ari. And it could be an interesting start to an interesting story, especially with Terrance in the background. For the first time in the series, the writers give a conflict between agencies, and it is totally interesting.
And Drama is getting his role in the Ed Burns pilot. About time, he needs to have a win; and the writers can tell stories from a series production.
Great episode. 9/10

Episode 09: Vegas Baby, Vegas!
Haha, when the boys go to Vegas, shit happens. Great episode and it had a lot of fun, especially the Drama/Ken (Johann Urb) storyline. You could have thought the whole time, Ken would be gay, but he doesn’t want to jinx it, but at the end he says “Fuck it. It’s Vegas.” Muhaha, I was so laughing, when Drama wanted to start laughing and went out of the room, just to beat up Seth Green’s entourage.
Oh yeah, Seth Green was hilarious in here. It is nice to see another entourage, which clashes with Vince’s boys, though it seems a bit stereotype that Seth and Sloan had “something” together in the past. Though it is all a game for Seth (a hilarious one), it gives E some character moments.
That they took Ari with to Vegas was a nice choice – he loses money, he wins money, and he was away from his wife for a day. It was a hilarious day for him. And Vince judging a stripper’s contest? Holy shit… 8,5/10

Episode 10: I Wanna Be Sedated
A good episode, though it wasn’t a highlight like the five previous episodes. It was merely E’s search for Vince’s next movie, and he had to do it with an old guy like Bob (Martin Landau), who has nothing to say and nothing to win. Bob is an interesting character, he is like the lonely producer, who had everything, doesn’t get everything anymore and has to live with the fact that his career is ending. Then a guy like E comes over, with a guy like Vince in his hands, and he dreams to have a comeback, before he dies. It is an interesting story for one episode, but I wished to see more about that, instead of E trying to bail out of Bob’s house. But I found the ending quite nice, when Eric, Vince and Bob entered the offices of Miller/Gold and handed over the screenplay to Ari.
The side plot with Turtle signing yet not signing Saigon was good; it gives Turtle more moments for his own storyline, but his days as manager are now counted and the story is over – a shame. Only Drama over the fence was way too over the top.
And Vince’s girlfriend of the episode, Nicole (Lindsay Sloane)? Muhaha to the scene in bed, where sh said she is going to be married tomorrow. 7/10

Episode 11: What About Bob?
How often is Vince getting a job and losing it in the same episode this season? First Medellin, then Aquaman, now the Ramones movie. Somebody is not doing his job properly…
The whole situation with Bob was totally interesting, and Ari was a real asshole in this episode – stabbing Bob in the back. I can understand Bob in here, though it is another road bump in Vince’s life. But it perfectly prepares the next episode.
Drama’s side plot was hilarious. He is jerking off during the pilot production and everybody is listening in. Only Turtle and Vince were a bit boring in this episode. Turtle’s hunt for sneakers was blah, and it was obvious that Vince would help out, so Turtle can have his sneakers.
So, no job for Vince, the money is tight, Ari fucked up and nothing for Babs (she should be a main character, I love the interactions between Babs and Ari). 7/10

Episode 12: Sorry, Ari
Awesome episode, the best so far. Ari runs behind the movie and begs for it, so he can please Vince, and Vince is shopping for a new agency. I didn’t think that Entourage could be so thrilling. The whole story about Ari trying o get the movie back is totally thrilling, and the writers prove how great they are, when they even put some humor into this storyline. Just awesome. Especially the scene with Allen (Paul Ben-Victor) and afterward with Dana (Constance Zimmer, Hitler’s evil twin – muhaha).
Hilarious were the agencies Vince was with. Everybody had the same idea of convincing Vince, and it was hilarious which branch they took. That episode must have been very cheap to produce, with all those branch names in the episode.
Josh Weinstein (Joshua LeBar) was a highlight (“My assistants love to fuck. I interviewed them. True story.”), as well as the moments between Lloyd and Ari. For the second time, Lloyd comes over as a friend, which makes him an interesting character. 9,5/10

Episode 13: Less Than 30
LOOOOL – “Let’s hold on, just in case Ari is right.” What a mean cliffhanger. Vince wants us to think he is over Ari and completely into his new (and hot) agent Amanda (Carla Gugino), and then this last scene – hilariously awesome.
All in all a good episode. Medellin is back in the game and Vince has the screenplay. But because the season finale is still far away, the Medellin story is still slow. But at least it came back, though I wanted to see Vince doing the Ramones movie.
Amanda is a hot and sexy new agent; she should have been in the main cast instead of Debi Mazar, who isn’t even in the season anymore. And with Amanda being in the story, the writers have the chance to let Ari clash with his next enemy in the business.
Vince’s birthday party was hilarious – sponsored by Victoria’s Secret, just because Turtle went over-budget. Muhaha. 7,5/10

Episode 14: Dog Day Afternoon
Average episode with no real story in it. There is a bit of relationship trouble between E and Sloan, just because of Vince trying to date Lindsay (Cameron Richardson), the one he fucked during the charity event (hey, the producers bring back one of Vince’s old fuck buddies – what a surprise). I just couldn’t buy the story about the trip. E doesn’t want to disappoint Vince, but he has a plan not to take Vince and his girlfriend of the episode to his love trip with Sloan, while Vince doesn’t want to be alone. Why didn’t E just tell Vince, why this big game around this whole mess and the pre-trip date? Totally a filler…
The side plot with Turtle and Drama and their girlfriends of the week was hilarious though. First the thing with the dogs, than Turtle, who doesn’t stop talking about it and being thrown out by his date. Muhaha. Interesting was his “I don’t choose Arnold over a girl” – very interesting, so the boys really love their dog. I would have fucked my dog with those two girls ready to fuck…
And Lloyd’s big evening? ROFL to that; and how I loved Ari saving Lloyd’s honor in the gay club – muhaha. 6/10

Episode 15: Manic Monday
Another average episode, but this time at least hilarious. The sexual tension between Amanda and Vince is growing, which will bring both of them to fuck each other’s brains out. ROFL to that. And, damn, I loved the short discussion amongst the boys about Amanda being hot and Drama’s bet about Vince fucking her.
Ari’s side plot was hilarious. Not only was his speech at the doctor’s office more than hilarious, but that Babs brought him to cry was awesome. I just wished to have seen a longer scene with Ari actually really crying. When he showed up on the golf course to have a private therapy session with Dr. Marcus (Nora Dunn), I could only rofl. And when he fired the guy he was supposed to fire, I could just smile. Ari is really a train wreck without Vince.
Well, the episode wasn’t good for more. Again, no story; instead, lots of hilarious things, but it doesn’t bring the Medellin story forward, and not just because Vince is still waiting for confirmation. 6,5/10

Episode 16: Gotcha!
Please what? Amanda likes Vince and Vince likes Amanda? OMG, is there a romance coming up between agent and client? WTF…
A good episode, but seriously predictable. I knew from the start that the “Gotcha” with Drama and Chuck Liddell was running and I wasn’t even a bit surprised about the ending. I don’t know if the writers intended that or if it really was impossible to write this story unpredictable.
The side plot with Ari and his old friend Scott (Artie Lange) and his hot girlfriend Laurie (Leslie Bibb) was hilarious. Ari jealous from the beginning until the end, and was I laughing when he was talking about God coming down, forming the woman’s ass and hand-delivering her to him. Muhaha. And I am surprised that the writers include Mrs. Ari more and more into the show. I think it was the third time in a row she appeared. Respect for that, no wonder why she landed in the main cast later on. 7/10

Episode 17: Return of the King
Even on Yom Kippur Ari has to phone everyone, so he can close a deal. That Medellin was all of a sudden available for Vince was a great story, especially so short before the season finale. And to give it even more of a cliffhanger, the movie is cursed and probably shut down, because all of this. And how I liked Ari and Nick (Adam Goldberg) in here. I would have wished to see Nick more often during the series, because he was just a crazy person in here. Swearing in the chapel, doesn’t care about the holiday, because his life is on a thin line. And, damn, the writers brought Mrs. Ari back for this episode; the producers were really thinking to put her in the main cast back then.
The side plot with Drama and the horse was ridiculous though and couldn’t get me. It was not only not hilarious, but extremely stupid. Why would he buy a horse, doesn’t know what to do with it and give it to Ed Burns? Ridiculous storyline and one of the worst during the series. And this is, what pulls the episode down. 6,5/10

Episode 18: The Resurrection
A victory for Drama. Though the whole story about the bad reviews was kinda over the top (nobody even liked his pilot?), it was a good story for him, because the episode’s main topic was around him, while Vince’s and E’s hunt for the Medellin screenplay and Turtle trying to get a date with a hot girl, who has a mean father (why didn’t he like Turtle?).
Well, at least the Medellin story gets forward for a change, even after the throwback from last episode. I just can’t believe that E and Vince are ready to put their future and all their savings on it – but, after all, it was the first preparation for the fifth season.
And one thing was very over the top: Drama leaving the city and following the road, just because of the bad reviews. I believe that Drama’s storylines are more and more over the top these last episodes, but now with his series being a ratings bomb, the ridiculous moments could end and he is finally happy with his job.
A good episode, the finale can come. 7,5/10

Episode 19: The Prince’s Bride
“You will go up and fuck my wife like the superstar you are and I am down here playing billiard with your friends.” ROOOOOFL, how hilarious is that, please? I couldn’t hold myself laughing at the last scene with Yair (Asaaf Cohen) saying that to Vince, so he can fuck his … ehm, lonely wife (Branka Katic). So seriously funny, I couldn’t think straight anymore. Probably the most funniest scene in this season.
So, the Medellin story is finally “over”, the finances are cleared, the screenplay is in Vince’s hands, only a director is missing – a story for the season finale. At least the “chasing after the film” story is finished now.
The side plots were uninteresting though. Turtle dates Kelly (Lauren London) and still has problems with her father, and Drama is trying to get a part in Rush Hour 3. Though Brett Ratner’s house party was hilarious (why has every “big” director his own private whore party running while an audition is going on?). But it was again a kinda awkward story for Drama. He is so stubborn, he is going on my nerves with that. And his last stories weren’t really that hilarious for me. 7,5/10

Episode 20: Adios Amigos
Maybe it was a bit weak for a season finale, but it ended storylines and prepared to begin some new ones. Billy is directing Medellin, after we saw him producing a porn flick. I loved the scene, where he got the screenplay and in the background there was a couple fucking – hilarious, I want to be on a porn set one day. And I loved how Billy gets involved in the project, just because he is the director now (shooting the movie in Spanish). Damn, I seriously love Billy as a character, he needs his own show.
The side plot was, again, not that interesting. Turtle and Drama on the chase for a new apartment was a nice story, but it didn’t bring anything, except another scene with Shauna. I was already asking myself where she was the whole time. She could have been really in the main cast herself; the one scene she had here… I loved it.
The other side plot with the relationship between Sloan and E breaking apart was alright. The writers didn’t concentrate that much on this during the season, so I can live with the breaking up.
Solid season finale, not really a highlight in the series. 7/10

Season average is 7,55. The fourth season should be coming up soon, first I want to finish the first season of Numb3rs and the second season of Grey’s Anatomy. And some already canceled TV series from the current TV season.

Click here for my review of the first season.

Lifestyle is a terrible thing to waste.

After three months shooting the indie film “Queens Boulevard” in the Big Apple, the boys are back in Los Angeles and ready to take Hollywood again. Eric (Kevin Connolly) is officially Vince’s (Adrian Grenier) manager, Turtle (Jerry Ferrara) is running the house, Drama (Kevin Dillon) is hoping to enhance his onscreen assets…and Ari (Jeremy Piven) is pushing a blockbuster superhero role for his golden-boy client.

Episode 01: The Boys Are Back in Town
Solid season premiere; nothing much happens, instead the writers closed up the first season for good and began new storylines. Even Emily is gone now (I am sad) and we saw Lloyd (Rex Lee) for the first time (damn, he was thin back then). Sure, the stories weren’t really interesting – Drama wants to get back to the movie business, but instead gets an NBC “Movie of the Week”; and Eric and Vince are already chasing the Medellin screenplay, while Ari tells him to do Aquaman to get the reputation back up and running.
The moments between the entourage was good, finally Turtle is asking himself what he is doing since he “works” for Vince (or Eric, who is his boss?), which gives him a bit of character development (which will bring him to his own storyline this season) – but sadly, there was nothing more to see.
For a season premiere it was really a premiere – it felt like a second pilot; the writers learned from their little mistakes from the first season and roll everything up to be better. For a normal episode a bit lame. 7/10

Episode 02: My Maserati Does 185
Hilarious episode, and finally the writers ended the E/Kristin (Monica Keena) storyline. Kristin was never an interesting character and her actress a boring one, so I am glad E is now free and fucked a perfect ten instead last night. And this morning. I found this story pretty amusing and Leanna (Holly Valance) really was a perfect ten (for E at least, for me she was a perfect 9.5): Interesting is that Vince made out with Jaime Pressly, and I never could have pictured her that way. I only know her from My Name is Earl, but smoking and drinking with Vince and hopping into the beach just for fun. I never know if the guest actors really play themselves or are acting, when they play themselves.
So, the Aquaman story is still up ad running, and Vince still doesn’t like it. It seems a bit over the top, that he is not thinking about it one single bit. Sure, it is type casting, but this could be the break for Vince…
The pussy talk the guys had was amusing, as well as Drama’s efforts to get the information how to get great legs. 8/10

Episode 03: Aquamansion
I was screaming like an idiot during the mansion scenes. How the fuck is it possible that so much fuckable girls are attending these parties? Seriously, being invited to Hef’s mansion is on my bucket list under the category “Neverending Dreams”. God damn, that was hot. But Vince and the guys had to discuss about Aquaman, instead of getting those girls killed in sex battle (LOL).
Of course, the Aquaman story prepares for the rest of the season and the success the movie will have, and this takes most of the time of the episode, but the writers should maybe tell some other ongoing stories for a change. Either one big story for the whole season or lots of small stories for just one episode (like Drama’s clash with Ralph Macchio in here) isn’t enough for me, but as long as it remains hilarious in some sort, I’ll be alright.
Well, the mansion did it, I wanna go there… 7,5/10

Episode 04: An Offer Refused
Damn, I love those scenes, when Ari snaps, because he doesn’t know something first hand. The scene, in which he phones around, even though it was short, was just genius. And when he fired the mail man, thinking the guy he is firing is somebody else, was just hilarious.
The hunt for the offer is an interesting story, especially with the money trouble in the side plot. Though I find it a bit over the top that Vince didn’t care about the money. But I love how Ari talks to Dana Gordon (Constance Zimmer), I love how Ari talks to Lloyd (it already started here: “Lloyd, come in, I wanna make out with you.” – “Coming” or “Cummin” muhaha) and I love how everybody is reacting to another in stress situations. There could have been a great moment between Ari and Eric, when Ari told him about the non-existing offer, but instead the writers cut it short. And the writers could have done a bit more with the cliffhanger; it still worked, but it came too much from nothing.
Good episode, hilarious and preparing for the season. 8/10

Episode 05: Neighbors
Hilarious episode, and I didn’t think that Bob Saget can be a real pain in the ass. When he is really that cocky in real life, then he is pretty much a shitty person. But he was still hilarious and one of the perfect examples, how Hollywood stars use their money for their own lifestyles.
Oka, the episode stretches the story more than a bit; we still didn’t see James Cameron in here; Vince still has not the official offer; and we even have to wait for Queens Boulevard, because Billy (Rhys Coiro) doesn’t want anybody to see the movie beforehand. I had to laugh, when he responded to E with a “Fuck that” and practically told James Cameron, he has to wait in the snow like everyone else. Indie directors, hell yeah…
The pool party scenes were awesome (sexy), though the little twist with the hookers wasn’t that funny- except Turtle and Drama knowing about that, but don’t want to tell the other, because they are happy.
Nice to see Emily (Samaire Armstrong) back, and nice to see Jayma Mays in one scene, I think she looked prettier when she was younger. 7,5/10

Episode 06: Chinatown
And again: The writers are masters in stretching storylines. I could repeat half of the review of the last episode, because it was basically the same story. Only with the fact that Vince had a commercial to shoot in here – and it was a funny one, at least for me. It is a hilarious cliché, that American actors shoot some Japanese or Chinese commercials, which are not shown in the rest of the world, and they all do it just for the money (I heard Nicholas Cage needs cash…). And of course Vince had to fuck Ling Bai in here, though both of them didn’t have any chemistry. I always have the feeling that she always plays characters who will have sex with the main character – awkward…
Well, the rest of the episode wasn’t really that interesting, Vince is waiting for the offer for three episodes now, and it gets boring after a while, and not even the boxing tournament could save it, though I had a big smile on my face, when Turtle stood in front of the girl and asked where to piss. Oh yeah, that he lost in the first round… predictable, but still funny.
Drama was over the top here, I had to laugh during his kung fu moves, but it was for the eyes to roll… 7/10

Episode 07: The Sundance Kids
A good episode, and finally James Cameron shows himself. And he flies around with a helicopter, muhaha. And finally the long and dusty “Is Vince going to be cast as Aquaman” has an ending at the end.
The front story about Sundance, the world premier of Queens Boulevard (Billy was hilarious in here) and the confrontation with Harvey (Maury Chaykin) were alright, but mostly it didn’t really interest me, because I already saw from the beginning that Sundance will be just a filler story for the season, with the closure of the first Aquaman story. Well, at least the writers chose after six, seven episodes. But I definitely liked the moment Turtle and Drama had with the girl – a real threesome, and both guys “accidentally crossed swords”. I really had to laugh at this one. 7,5/10

Episode 08: Oh, Mandy
A good episode, though the story could have been a better one. But it is interesting to know that even Vince was in love with a girl once, and the past of that failed relationship got up to him.
Setting the story in Malibu for a while was a good idea, it is a bit of a change during the Aquaman production, and maybe it gives some new stories, like in this episode with Drama going nuts on the highway, when he demolished a car, short before he got the MOW for NBC. By the way: His audition could have been hilarious, when the writers repeated the gag from the first season; I already was smiling to see the guy with the phone again…
The main story with the future Aquagirl Mandy Moore was alright. We learn a bit from Vince’s past, but Mandy is just a shitty character in this show; completely stereotype and no chemistry with Adrian Grenier at all. And I liked E’s face, when Vince came from the date and considered to get her off the movie.
The sideplot with Ari was boring; I didn’t even know what to think of it – he lied at his age? Blah… 7,5/10

Episode 09: I Love You Too
Hey, a Comic Con episode. If I would be a geek of some sort, I would love the episode. But I don’t follow comics. And I am a little surprised that the “cliffhanger” from last episode got smashed that hard. The last sentence was “Let’s get her off the movie” and I was hoping that there was something happening, and the first thing Vince says in this episode, is that it is okay working with her. It was a bit boring.
The Comic Con story was a bit lame as well. I didnt have much interest in Drama’s Viking Quest past, though the history with Vanessa Angel was pretty funny (“Drama, she’s nice/hot.” – “I hate that bitch.”) and their final moment really sweet. Maybe the writers could have done more with the Viking Quest series, but they had to concentrate on the Mandy debacle – definitely one of the storylines I don’t like in this season. I can’t even see that Vince was in love once, I just can’t buy that. And the missing chemistry between the two actors (maybe they really can’t stand each other) gives the rest. At least we know for a change, what Vince is feeling.
The sideplot with the reporter (Rainn Wilson) was hilarious, especially the ending with the power of the pussy. Muhaha. 7/10

Episode 10: The Bat Mitzvah
The episode was alright. Nothing was hilarious, the stories were okay, but uninteresting, the relationship drama between Vince and Mandy could be less of a cliché. But at least it was the first episode of Sloan (Emmanuelle Chriqui) and E’s relationship drama with her. Only the bat mitzvah for Ari’s story was really boring; even Turtle and Drama starving wasn’t funny.
But I found it interesting that Ari is in panic when he sees that Terrance (Malcolm McDowell) is about to “steal” Vince from the agency, though I don’t really understand why this should happen. After all, Terrance and Ari are partners. And both of them have a really good chemistry as partners, who can’t stand each other. I had to laugh about Melinda Clarke being his wife, maybe she could have been a bit more funnier in her scenes.
And, like I said, the rest was average. It kinda was a filler between the Aquaman story and all the rest. 6/10

Episode 11: Blue Balls Lagoon
A good episode, though it wasn’t really that funny and there wasn’t really much story in the episode, except Vinnie’s entourage wondering about his relationship with Mandy and how it can affect their lives, when it gets to the press. Though I couldn’t really understand E in here, it was an acceptable story and at least Vince has a romance for once in a while – it might be the only one he has in this show.
The side plots were good. Drama has his MOW with Brooke Shields, the woman he jerked off to for the first time (muhaha), and during the shoot he has a boner, which absolutely turns her off (double-muhaha); E starting something with Sloan to prepare the storyline of what’s to come in the following seasons and all in all Ari is scared to lose Vinnie completely to Terrance. With the exception of Drama’s MOW all the other stories seem incomplete and not finished, which gives the episode an abrupt ending, and that doesn’t feel good. Maybe it would have been better to cut one story (for example the thing with the picture, I didn’t really get it anyway) to give the other one a bit space. Sometimes the episodes don’t really have something to tell, and then there are episodes with too much in it. 7/10

Episode 12: Good Morning Saigon
Hilarious episode, especially the ending when Vince and E conned Ari, after he lied to both of them. I couldn’t stop laughing, when Vince asked for the first time, if Ari bought the story, and then E’s improvising, when he was speaking with Ari over the phone – hilarious.
The rest of the episode was good as well. Last episode Turtle mentioned he has no job, now he starts to be a music manager after he found a good demo and placed it in Queens Boulevard. I found it surprising that Billy even listened to Turtle on this one, but this story gives Turtle some moments and an own story in the series, and that is a lot.
The first appearance of Babs (Beverly D’Angelo) was not really a highlight, but it was her introduction, and I like her character and how Ari interacts with her (she has the biggest cock in the room – muhaha). And there have to be more meetings in big groups (or alternatively in the war room), I liked the fact that E doesn’t stop talking, when he has to deal with the big fishes in the sea – this is a lot of character development for him. 8/10

Episode 13: Exodus
Awesome episode; I didn’t even remember anymore that Ari was fired at the end of this season. Though the reasons for that were completely bull, but if you look a bit closer, then you see the story was prepped with the introduction of Terrance somewhere in this season. I loved the moments, starting when Ari figures out he is about to get fired, until the moment with his wife (Perrey Reeves) in front of his house. And I actually can’t believe that Ari and Lloyd had such a sweet moment together in Lloyd’s car. They almost were real friends, and for the first time ever, Ari behaved like a friend for Lloyd, even though it was only for ten seconds.
It is great to get Ari fired from the agency, so the story goes on and he has a new one for the third season, as well as has to find another agency during the next episodes.
The side plot with Mandy going with her ex-fiancé and soon-to-be fiancé-again Chris (Richard Voll) was alright. Though it was a stereotype storyline, it had to be in this episode to give the cliffhanger (“I’m not doing the movie” – how often did Vince said that in this season?) at the end and to end the relationship with Mandy.
You needed stories in a series without stories: This was an episode with big stories, and when the writers write something, than the episodes are great. 9/10

Episode 14: The Abyss
The perfect finale for a troubled season. Vince is emotionally totally down and is about to lose everybody he cares about; Ari tries to keep his clients, so he can start a new agency; E is about to get a new job with Terrance and Vince’s entourage tries to bring his friend over the edge of pulling out of Aquaman and getting him out of this misery called love.
Only one thing: The story with Vince not doing the movie is old already, and it was boring to see it of all things in the season finale again. But I liked the fact that Vince was let totally alone with this one and that he had to tell James Cameron on his own, when he really wants to get out of the movie.
The side plots with Drama wondering, if Adam (Jordan Belfi) is still his agent and Turtle being Saigon’s manager for real are interesting, it gives both of them a story, which reaches from one season to another. And I liked the fact that the season didn’t end with a big cliffhanger. Instead Vince is doing Aquaman, the entourage succeeded in bringing Vince out of his misery and everybody has some sort of a goal. With the exception of Ari, he needs a job… 8,5/10

Season average is 7,54. I hope I will deliver seasons three to six, before the seventh one starts in the summer. It looks good, because I have all the seasons on hand.

Image via cinemasource.com SPOILER ALERT!! So this season finale of HBO series “Entourage

Image via cinemasource.com

SPOILER ALERT!!

So this season finale of HBO series “Entourage” felt like a series finale to me…they tied up all loose ends as if it was the series finale, and I have to say that I would be completely ok with that. However, it is not the last season and I now have little hope for an amazing next season. In all honesty this season was a little weak, especially for the supposed main character, Vincent Chase, who was a total background character this season. The very few times they showed Vince he was just having sex with yet another nameless character. Eric “E” Murphy made a huge leap in the last couple minutes of the show; he and Sloan got engaged. Poor Turtle got on a plane to visit his girlfriend Jamie-Lynn Sigler (who plays herself and is also Jerry Ferrara’s (Turtle) girlfriend in real life) on-set in New Zealand. However, when he is on the plane she calls him and breaks up with him because she thinks this long distance relationship won’t last and she doesn’t want to hurt him in the long run. Ari and his company buy out Terence ’s major entertainment agency and Ari finally made his old personal assistant, Lloyd, an official agent. Lloyd is a great character and I am so glad Ari finally caved and made him an agent. I absolutely loved it when Ari Gold walked into Terence’s old office building, aka his new company, with a paintball gun and began shooting at the people he was going to fire….just a completely Ari Gold moment and it was amazing. After Turtle arrived in New Zealand he decided to meet up with Drama and Vince in Italy where Vince is filming. Matt Damon, Bono and Lebron James all made guest appearances as advocates for the one by one foundation helping starving kids around the world who were trying to get some money from Vince.

The only reason I continue watching the show, just like “The Office,” is because I am now completely invested in the characters and not because it is as amazing as it was when it began. The one thing I really hate when it comes to television is when shows over stay their welcome. I think “Friends” is a perfect example of a show that I loved, and still love, that ran too long. However, I think “Gilmore Girls” and “Arrested Development” both left me wanting more, and I couldn’t be happier with wanting the shows to come back on the air.

I’ve been waiting for this story all of my life. Some no name hot blond bitch was killed by some impulsive crazy man. Oh wait. No. I’ve been waiting for dinner. That’s what I was waiting for. This kind of just happened. Whatever. It’s not even important to anyone but the dead chick. And the dude went to Canada. So really, don’t we all win? Except Canada. They never win at anything but maple syrup eating contests. Those beaver owning canucks.

Now this is actually something worth caring about. My favorite comedian (and probably the best in the world right now), Louis CK is getting his own show on FX. Those guys know talent. It’s too bad they keep the good shit on their back up station and air stuff like… Um.. Everything they’ve ever aired sans The Simpsons? So tally up It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The League (a show about fantasy football) and now this. Score one for FX.

Wait a second. That hot bitch from The Sopranos is actually dating that fat bitch from Entourage? Man actors have it made. If you just have a little bit of a brain you can practically convince the sexy girl that pretends to be your girlfriend that she actually is.

Robert Novak died. Chalk him up on the death list of 2009.

The suddenly risen film star Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) learns the ropes of the business and the

The suddenly risen film star Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) learns the ropes of the business and the the high-profile world of the wealthy happy few in and around Hollywood, but not alone: He brings form his native New York his atypical entourage, not glitterati or professionals but a close circle of friends since childhood. His professional agent Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven) finds they often make his job harder as the Queens boys not only sponge on the star, but also have his ear.

Episode 01: Entourage
The pilot was alright; considering the following six season it was really bad, slow, barely sexy and unfunny and nothing much happened. A movie premiere and the talks about Vince’s next job – a shitty screenplay and E’s (Kevin Collonny) opinion about it. In my opinion, Vince is hanging too much on E’s opinion, which makes Vince a really bad character (because this episode lets him look lazy and kind of stupid). And the rest of the characters don’t really have some development here. Too much talk about sex and getting laid and not really the start of something. Yeah, it is the start of a new series, but it doesn’t feel that way.
The story about the new dog as funny though, and I didn’t quite understand everything. What was Ali Larter so mad about? 6/10

Episode 02: The Review
Already better than the pilot. Less story, but more interesting talks about Vince’s career and some other stuff. And already with some hot guest actors. Not to start with Jessica Alba, but with Samaire Armstrong and Leighton Meester. First one I once had a crush on (during The O.C.), the second one I have a crush on now (while watching Gossip Girl). And I don’t need to say something about Miss Alba – everybody wants to be in her (LOL), but she is too nice.
The story about E getting crazy about the bad review was nice and tells that not only Vince is the man in the entourage. Just the scene with Vince’s business manager didn’t fit in and this is probably why he never showed up again in later episodes. 7,5/10

Episode 03: Talk Show
Good episode. It had the introduction of Shauna (Debi Mazar), it had Sarah Silverman and Jimmy Kimmel and it had sex five minutes before the show in the private room (funny). And it had the discussion with how many women Vince broke up (conclusion: with zero women) – it must be hard not to know how to break up.
But the episode felt kind of incomplete. There was something about Drama (Kevin Dillon) and Jimmy which was not good enough for me; the whole background was missing. And giving Drama background with one of the celebrity guest stars… I don’t know if that is very good.
The rest was alright though, some funny lines and situations. And Sarah Silverman. Shame that she didn’t had any scenes with Kimmel together, while they were still dating. 7,5/10

Episode 04: Date Night
An average episode, at least with some season arcs. E is between break up sex with his ex and first date with his probably new girlfriend. Luckily for him that Ari wants to fuck her as well (muhaha, despite he would never cheat). By the way: This was the first episode with Mrs.Ari (Perrey Reeves) in a scene. Well, respect. I am already asking myself how she can live with him, but I was asking myself this all seasons long.
Drama’s date was funny, as well es Turtle’s (Jerry Ferrara) date (really hot ass). And Leighton Meester had another appearance and wants Vince to be her first. And he is fucking declining. What the fuck? Everybody wants to be in Leighton, but he doesn’t have the guts for that? Why, Vince? Oh why?
At least it was nice to see that Vince’s film was the number one (live action) film on his opening day.
6,5/10

Episode 05: The Script and the Sherpa
Muhaha, Val Kilmer as weed smoking and paranoid hippie – I was so laughing during the whole smoking scene. Sooo funny. The whole episode was really good and had some real funny moments. Starting with the town being out of weed and Vince’s girlfriend of the episode (“I love her. I wanna marry her. Just fucking with you.”) and every little rest of it. Finally the series goes into the direction of the following seasons. While the first episodes were a bit too brave, the writers are now directly in the story an in the characters.
And the story about the script of Queens Boulevard is starting. Better late then never. And a naked Josh Weinstein (Joshua LeBar) had to give it to E. Val Kilmer was really funny as hell. 8/10

Episode 06: Busey and the Beach
An average episode with only one real story:the entourage tries to close the deal with Queens Boulevard and have some problems. The deal is there, but Ari is the problem. But I don’t understand why. First he talks about giving Vince as fast as possible a new movie and now he doesn’t want him to star in an indie movie?
Gary Busey was creepy. He looked like he wanted to kill Turtle and especially Ari. Kind of funny, but why was he in this episode? And why is his name in the episode title? Did somebody owe him something like that?
Emily’s troubles were really uninteresting. Why didn’t she want to get into this “mess” in the first place? It is like she never was Ari’s assistant. Or just a cheap method to write some problems into the screenplay for Eric and her, even though they just had one date. 6/10

Episode 07: The Scene
A good episode, which introduces us to another later well known character: Billy Walsh. He is probably one of the craziest, ugliest, creepiest and funniest character in comedy television and Rhys Coiro is a lucky cast for this role. The whole scene, in which Eric and Vince were looking for Billy – funny; how Billy deals with Eric – funny; how he calls him “suit” (and it gets better with every season) and so on. The only problem I have with this episode is the “fake” story. The blowjob scene was never in the screenplay and this makes the episode kind of unimportant now. Okay, Billy trusts Vince now, but they needed for that a whole episode?
At least the rest was good. Turtle and Drama with two (not so) hot chicks (also known as high class prostitutes, who just want money), while they were watching Billy’s latest flick – everybody wanted to hate it, but everybody loves it, muhaha. 7,5/10

Episode 08: New York
It was an acceptable season finale and not a boring one. Vince and his guys are preparing for the flight to New York and want to throw a goodbye party. And Vince is saying goodbye to all his girlfriends (with sex and so on, LOL), which gets E into some emotional trouble – he doesn’t want to be just Vince’s entourage and “unofficial” manager, he wants to be more. Bummer, that this storyline was short and dealt in this episode, because it is an interesting topic and definitely needed more attention, like in later seasons.
Drama is auditioning for “CSI: Minneapolis” – this scene was a whole joke, I think the writers hate the crime wave which started with CSI, muhaha.
The humor was missing though, and I don’t understand why Vince needed to be in contact with Scarlett Johannson (and why E arranged it), because I already know it brings nothing to anybody. 6,5/10

Season average is 6,94. Let’s say: barely below good average. The first season of Entourage definitely is the lamest one; the series needed all of the eight episodes to find itself and the (mostly lame) characters. No on-going story, except some screenplays, movies and relationships and that’s it. But the humor is great and how the boys are interacting with each other – that makes this show watchable.
The other seasons are on my rewatch list, but first I have to finish the first seasons of Sleeper Cell and Lie to Me, and when I am funny enough I finish Easy Money as well.

Recently I’ve noticed that Entertainment Weekly has a vendetta against this show, they rip it apart weekly stating that it’s stale, boring, etc.

I’m just curious what you, the viewer, think.

Did Entourage run it’s course, or is Entertainment Weekly just talking crap?

Vince’s driving test goes well, at least until he attempts a three-point turn. But it would appear that A) you can get your license by giving the driving test instructor tickets to a movie premiere, B) you can tell the story on Leno how you basically bribed your way to a license and get away with it, and C) any cones that get stuck in your wheels during a driving test are yours to keep.

Meanwhile, the guys continue to pepper Eric about his meeting with Sloan, claiming that he is trying to date her again. The fact that Sloan calls to pressure E into taking the sublet while he is at Leno doesn’t avail E too well. Eric’s biggest problem is that Vince would be left by himself in the big house, since Drama still has his condo, and Turtle spends most of his off-hours at Jamie-Lynn Sigler’s place.

However, E does agree to visit with Sloan’s friend, Amy, so that she can sign off on him subletting the house should he decide to go that way. As a sort of peace offering, they make it a double date with Vince. Amy doesn’t seem to interested in a one-night stand with Vince…until they make it to the back of the Escalade. Still, he drives home to an empty house. E goes to Sloan’s place to have one drink to discuss E moving into Amy’s house, and Drama will be out all night with his show.

The cast came out for the premiere in LA on Thursday night.

All the guys were there – Adrien Grenier, Kevin Connolly, Jerry Ferrara, Jeremy Piven, Kevin Dillon and Rex Lee. Jerry Ferrara (Turtle) brought his beautiful girlfriend, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who he met during her cameo on the show last season. Who said it wouldn’t last?

Sorry. I’m just a bit ticked off right now and I had to punish Jerry Ferrara’s awesome shirtless photos. Thank you Bobby for the heads up, and D.T. for these awesome screenshots!

I have only seen Season 1 of HBO’s Entourage, and I know that there was a swimming pool scene

I have only seen Season 1 of HBO’s Entourage, and I know that there was a swimming pool scene with Jerry Ferrara in it. Anyway, did a Google search for “shirtless Jerry Ferrara” and I hit the mini-progressive jackpot:

I got the photo from ifitandhealthy.com and wish that the photo was not desecrated by that obnoxious demand. Anyway, does anybody know if this screenshot is from Entourage? And, if so, what season and episode is it from?

Anyways, here is a compilation of Jerry Ferrara as Turtle…
