This Xmas, Dior presents Cristal Boréal.  A luxurious pendant, reminiscent of the backs of the armchairs in Christian Dior’s Paris studio in Avenue Montaigne.

For the eyes, there is the limited edition Cristal Boréal Eye Shadow as well as the regular 5 colour palettes.  Instead of black, the Style Liner in this collection is in a sparkling purple to complement the eye shades which is mostly of purple and mauve shades.

Lips also pout in shades of mauve and pink for allover harmony.  And “crystallize” your nails in sweet pale pink with glitters or dramatize them in silver purple.

It’s been a crazy week. In honor of it being done here are a few ways I am celebrating right now… well not number three… yet

1. Buying lots of pretty magazines like this October 2009 Australian Vogue (holy shipping delay!), and the new Elle and Elle Canada. I really like Elle, it’s just… grown on me so much. Plus the creative director Joe Zee is a fav and is everywhere all at once. Check out his great NY Diet post and then spend another 2 hours reading about what people eat in New York.

2. Downloading free fonts from Font Fabric and dafont.

3. Buying and popping champagne (aka $12 Spumante Bambino, watch an aweful/hilarious commercial here). Even the cheapest kind is packaged in a way that makes you feel like a million bucks. Gold foil anyone? Image from weheartit.

Tomorrow, themes and props I love in photoshoots: a list! (Next semester has me thinking a lot about it since I will be art directing a shoot for a double page spread (featuring a Ryerson fashion design grad) that has about a 1 in 20 chance at being published in Flare Magazine. I am so excited.

I also want to eat this picture it is so freaking good.

Obviously, we know “New Moon” is destined to rock the box office and it did. It made a whopping $26.3 million at Thursday night’s showing alone, setting a new record. It also brought in some unlikely star fans, one in particular was Natalie Portman! I really didn’t think she would be brought in to this Twilight fever but, she did attend a last night before the film airs party in N.Y city. Anything is possible, I guess. I think she is a friend of Robert’s too….

On the fashion front, Ashleigh Greene actually looked good for the night, she normally opted for a less dramatic looks at events. Hopefully, she will embrace the more fashion forward side of her more often because she can pull it off.

Jessica Stam is the ‘model’ of the night (although Aggy was there too), not only does she have the face and the body of a top model and she really ‘is’ one! She also has the style to prove it. She embraced the latest trends of the ankle booties and a tight dress with lots of ribbons  without looking like a fashion victim. Don’t copy this look entirely unless you are ‘Jessica’, though.

Aggy, Aggy, she never disappoints. She dressed on par with the ‘vampire’ theme. A little dark but, always edgy. The black lace is so in trend but, she topped it off with her signature jade black ‘mushroom’ bob hair. I like it.

Alexa Chung you just rock! No wonder why the thread about you on fashionspot is always updating! We just love your rock&roll meets convent girl look! Just love!

Jessica Szohr’s lace shirt sleeves are the vocal point of her entire outfit. It pokes through her blazer which gives her a Victorian edge. Very Chanel!

Natalie Portman is the epitome of classic chic, what she’s wearing won’t make headline news however, it will not put her in the ’sack your stylist’ category either. If you are like her who is a more understated in the fashion front then spice things up a bit by pairing your all blacks outfit with a pair of knee-high boots. That would get you noticed, for sure!

But it’ll be taped this Thursday. So who can we expect to shimmy and shake down the runway? Heidi’s hosting this year, and since Adriana Lima also just had her baby, she’ll probably watch from home. But regulars like Miranda Kerr, Doutzen, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Marissa Miller should be walking. Stam, Chanel and possibly Lily will join in to give the show a high fashion boost, which makes it worth watching.

Obviously the CFDA Fashion Awards are going to bring out some of the best dressed people in the industry. With models and muses in head to toe designer labels, it’s no surprise that last nights award show was total couture eye candy. Here are some of my favorite looks:

Og: Pretty Party, heite damer edition.

En natt denne uken ( i går natt) hadde jeg og  Morten en liten diskusjon over MSN. Samtalen gikk ut på hvem som er heit her i verden, og disse kom vi fram til:

Morten sier: Stam SKAL være øverst!

Jessica Stam, eller “gjett hvem jeg tror jeg gikk forbi i SoHo” som Morten liker å kalle henne. Faen ta Morten. Jessica Stam er i hvertfall det heiteste kvinnfolket jeg vet om, og min favorittmodell i hele verden. Jeg kunne gitt hva som helst for å være en tredjedel så vakker som henne. True Story.

I rekken av heite britiske jenter med heit aksent troner Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Jeg tror Morten har vanskelig for å huske navnet hennes, for han kaller henne bare for Heitfrabladet.

Det var usikkert om Angelina skulle få være med først.

Ida: har vi glemt noen viktige nå?
Morten:Angelina? Vet ikke om hun teller lenger?
Ida: Vi har jo megan. Hun får holde for de begge
Morten: Er det kontroversielt å ha begge?
Ida: Hva er vel vi om ikke kontroversielle? ANGELINA ER IN!!!
Morten: HAHAHAH
Ida: jeg elsker at jeg tar dette så sykt høytidelig!!!
Morten:Hun fortjener nesten plass over Megan. Bare fordi hun er en klassiker.

Jeg har egentlig store problemer med frøken Fox her, men hver gang jeg leser et intervju med henne liker jeg henne mer og mer. Og herregud, hun er jo heit som fy. Blir nesten svimmel.

Ida sier: Du vet det er bra når bildet heter Megan Fox Panties

Morten visste ikke hvem Selita Ebanks var, så når jeg sendte han et bilde av han svarte han bare “skjer med heit?” Jeg tok det som et tegn på at Selita fortjente en like stor plass i heitfesten som alle de andre.

Ååh, det skal lønne seg å være halvt svart og halv asiatisk. Chanel Iman her er et resultat av denne herlige blandingen, og hvilken herlighet er hun ikke å se på?

Coco Rocha gir ordet heit en helt ny mening. Litt sånn rar heit, men fortsatt heit heit!

Morten visste ikke hvem Daria Werbowy var heller, og når jeg viste han et bilde av henne svarte han med et “tynn, men heit” dermed var også Daria i listen. Bare greit spør du meg. Hun var tross alt med  i mitt aller første pretty party.

Det var det for i dag. Siste kronen på verket er lagt, og barei tilfelle mamma skuller sjekke bloggen min og se en masse lettkledde kvinner: Jeg er ikke lesbisk(eller bifil).

Kristin Cavallari & Jessica Stam make the Little Red Dress a celebrity LBD must have!

I am going to do it—I really, truly, positively will.  I am determined to eschew all predilections that time and again lure me so enticingly—so reliably—to cloak myself in the luxurious dark folds of chiffon and velour endemic to the Little Black Dress.  Such foolproof flattering potential is nearly impossible to resist. 

But this season, my penchants are evolving.  I am putting my Choo down (or Pour La Victoire pump) and taking a stand.  Minus a podium and microphone, I declare that today, I, Stacy Aron,  begin my pre-New Year’s resolution to pursue the latest little dress to cause a stir on the runway, and I will maintain the same confidence I possess when wearing that dependable and yet totally predictable LBD.  Move over B, there’s a new D in town and it starts with R (and ends in ed).

The RLD (Red Light District) is, to say the least, teeming with unmatched female authority.  That such an authoritative dress could share the same initials makes the LRD powerful, but in a much classier combination than its racier kin.  Low and behold, a femme fetale can exist and be ogled over even when not enclosed within a storefront window.  Celebrities Kristin Cavallari and Jessica Stam have remodeled the Red Light District.

With holidays on the horizon, the need for a current must have dress that’s simple, sexy, and seasonless might have you shaking in your over the knee boots.  But take it from California native Cavallari and Canadian model Jessica Stam: while an LRD like the Alice & Olivia  Asymmetrical knockout might make you blend in with the carpet (as silver sequins make you twirl like a disco ball), this sultry number will set you apart from the crowd.  Do I hear sirens?

On est de plus en plus “sollicité” par la publicité. Chez nous, entrecoupant nos programmes préférés à la TV, dans le métro, dans les arrêts de bus (et sur le bus), les panneaux d’affichage, internet… Alors quand une campagne émerge parmi toutes les autres parce qu’elle est belle et que le produit fait envie… Cela vaut le coup d’en parler.

Après vous avoir fait un point sur les pubs de Canal + qui nous font bien rire, je voulais vous parler de la campagne pour le dernier parfum de la marque Nina Ricci, Ricci Ricci.

Le premier parfum de la maison Ricci voit le jour en 1946, en parallèle de la maison de couture, et chaque campagne depuis est une réussite. Ses parfums deviennent une institution pour la Femme, et chaque nouveauté est un succès.

Le petit dernier, Ricci Ricci, est glamour et audacieux, incarnée par une femme raffinée et sophistiquée sûre de son pouvoir de séduction. Elle est mutine, féline, parisienne, joueuse, belle…

Concernant le parfum, je ne suis pas encore passée en parfumerie pour le sentir, mais en général ils sont plutôt doués ! Son contenu : en tête de la rhubarbe et de la bergamote, au coeur la rose Centifolia, et en fond du patchouli et du bois de santal.

Au fait, le mannequin s’appelle Jessica Stam. C’est une jeune canadienne de 23 ans en pleine ascension (défilé Victoria Secret, Chloé, Dior, Valentino, Rykiel…).

Voilà pour cette jolie campagne ! Je vous précise que je n’ai absolument pas été sponsorisée, contactée ou autre pour en parler… On sait jamais, sur un malentendu !

My friend Helen sent me a letter (yes, a letter!) recently, with a cutout from one of the more recent Victoria’s Secret catalogs. That Lily was modeling.

I’ve seen Chanel in the catalog, Stam deigns to walk the runway show, and for a time Gisele bridged high fashion runway with the VS catalog, but Lily? She’s our Alexander Wang girl, our Burberry girl, Galliano, Givenchy, Lagerfeld and the Fashion’s Night Out girl for chrissake. I know it’s for the paycheck and for the chance to have people other than the fashion crowd and the Downtown kids know her name, but for someone who’s worshiped for her ethereal looks, who needs wings? Besides, isn’t posing in your underwear like this way more fun?

Who’s next to fall? Coco?

Jessica Stam was style in “affordable” designer clothes for Novembers Harpers Bazaar. The price range was $30 to $1000, see when they say “affordable” they really don’t think about people like me, unfortunately I don’t have $1000 to splash out with

Anyway Stam looks stunning and the photography is done by Miguel Reveriego.

Jessica looks gorgeous, but isn’t Ricci Ricci such a crappy name, there must have a been a massive creative block when thinking up the name ¬_¬

I do love the TV advert though, its cheeky, unlike the regular dramatic designer fragrances adverts (Which I do also love, its just its nice to see a change ). It’s also nice to see a Model doing the advert rather than the usual celebrity face

Na minha opinião, as melhores propagandas são as de perfumes. Todas são elegantes, criativas, de certa forma sensuais e algumas vezes com um humor na medida certa. Assim pode-se descrever também o novo comercial do perfume Ricci Ricci da grife francesa Nina Ricci.

Estrelado pela supermodel Jessica Stam vestida de gatinha, brincando pelos telhados franceses com uma fita de cetim, exalando todo o charme e diversão da campanha que foi fotografada por Sebastian Kim.

Os perfumistas Aurélien Guichard e Jacques Huclier são os criadores da fragância deste perfume, que  é composta por notas de bergamota, belle de nuit, rosa, tuberosa indiana, e toques de patchouli e sândalo.

“V Magazine’s V53 editorial entitled In Your Dreams proves that no matter what’s going on in the world, fashion somehow always swings back to the extremes.” Adorei a proposta desse editorial feito em 2008.
