El primer impacto extraño me llegó en un garden , al que fuí a finales de Octubre ( en un ambiente veraniego , también extraño para el mes, la verdad…) , para comprar tierra para mis plantas y me ví sorprendida por toda la parafernalia navideña ,… Nada de los muebles de bambú, las macetas y los móviles de jardín. En cambio, lucecitas a mansalva, abetos, adornitos, belenes…

En estos últimos días, los anuncios de juguetes se multiplican exponecial y sosprechosamente.

Nos venden sueños fantásticos en un boleto de Lotería, con anuncios ya, navideños.

Me venden números para sorteos del Club de Fútbol Sala o la Asociación de Jubilados y me regalan más números en las tiendas que compro ( tengo ya, para una panera y para una nevera para vinos).

Ya llega el material promocional de Lotes de Empresa, los mails de los Restaurantes que ofrecen los menús de grupo para las fechas, los del cava … Ya están todos aquí.

Sí, querido lector, ya es Navidad. Y aunque pienses que queda un mes largo, te equivocas. Es ya. ¡Ya!

Por si fuera poco, los de JibJab, me envían el famoso vídeo del elfo. ¿Es o no Navidad?.

In 2006, OfficeMax jumped into the viral scene with the Elf Yourself virtual greeting cards. Last year, 35 million cards were sent out all over the world.

The site lets you stick your head, your kid’s head, your friend’s head, anyone’s head, onto a dancing elf body. You manipulate the photo until it fits perfectly in the space and voila…a viral phenomena.

This year they’ve taken the social media route. You can now tweet a link to your Dancing Elf on Twitter, post it to your Facebook wall, or embed the video in your website/blog. There’s also an option to sign-in with Facebook Connect and use your Facebook photos in the “Elfing” process.

And, as if that’s not enough, you can pay $4.99 to download the video and save it for years to come…my kid’s gonna hate me for this some day.

Outro dia o SBT começou a exibir algumas vinhetas no horário comercial em que apareciam suas estrelas da casa ”dançando e rodando” no corpo de personagens divertidos. Muita gente achou aquilo novidade e o assunto até virou polêmica, mas para mim já havia uma lógica: a emissora de Silvio Santos fez um contrato com a JibJab e comprou os direitos das animações para comemorar seus 28 anos.

Eu já tinha conhecimento das tais vinhetas desde o ano passado, pois postei aqui no Dando Nota a recomendação do JibJab, site que explora os feriados sazonais para torná-los divertidos…

Este ano recebi novamente o link em meu email e voltei ao portal, onde é possível selecionar fotografias de pessoas para criar as tais animações.

Hip hop, disco, classic e country eram as opções até então. Mas este ano já existe uma nova, em que a boca se movimenta conforme a música e você e seus amigos aparecem cantando Jingle Bells… muito bom mesmo!

Na versão free é possível apenas postar a foto e visualizar naquele instante as danças. Literalmente você e seus amigos se transformam em elfos dançantes… Na versão paga você pode enviar pelo MySpace, email, orkut, iPhone, Youtube, etc, e ainda escolher outros motivos.

Uma dica: opte por imagens em baixa resolução, para não demorar tanto a carregar o vídeo.

Seeing as how my birthday is the day before Halloween, I am a HUGE fan of the holiday!

So many great memories…our family’s haunted house parties…my dad scaring the living daylights out of little kids…our street being blocked off by the city so families could safely trick-or-treat and the whole neighborhood getting into the spirit of things…my 18th birthday party with a DJ in our garage.

Love it! So in the spirit of upcoming Halloween, I thought I’d leave you with a cute little video courtesy of JibJab! P.S. The mad scientist character is Kabi Jo, my canine sister!

By the way, I’ll be in clinical on Halloween this year. Any suggestions for what I should be? The costume has got to be compatible with my purple scrubs and be appropriate for a peds unit.

I have been researching video and animation.  I keep running across an argument called Flash vs. Toon boom.  apparently, this is similar to the mac vs. pc argument (or ford vs. chevy).  I digress.

The software in question is from Toon Boom.  yup, silly name (kind of like outofnapkins – but a little more on topic), but pretty powerful software.  The also have some great marketing.

First, there are three main versions for adults. There are also three versions for children, but those don’t have enough features to satisfy any but the most basic animation desires.  The bottom level software is called Toon Boom Studio.  the mid-level is Toon Boom Animate and the top tier is Animate -Pro.  A good comparison chart can be found here:

the comparison of flash vs toon boom needs to clarify versions.  Just as macromedia flash 8 is vastly inferior to adobe flash cs4, different versions of the toonboom software have different capabilities. I digress again…

If you have ever wondered how they make those great Jib Jab videos, this program will give you a lot of insight.  I’m not saying they use Toon Boom, but it has many many features that can replicate a jib jab style video.  When paired with Flash and Adobe Premiere, I think you could mimic all but the most difficult techniques in the Jib Jab style.

p.s. I’m still trying to figure out how they did the three color technique (black, white and red) in the Wierd Al video: “CNR”

Enquanto suas concorrentes se digladiam ferozmente, o SBT de Senor Abravanel, segue tranquilamente com a alcunha de  “A TV mais Feliz do Brasil”. O engraçado dessa maluquice campanha nova da emissora do Homem do Baú, não se refere exatamente qualidade duvidosa da mesma, mas ao fato das vinhetas serem produzidas a partir dos templates do  site gringo de humor, JibJab.
