In my last job, I passed a long time using the .Net Platform. And now, in my master degree, I coming back to Java’s world. I really miss Visual studio when it comes to GUI editor. Netbeans has a great editor, but I need to use eclipse, and in the last version (Ganymede), it doesn’t have the “visual editor” plugin… So, I searched on internet for some options. None of then seems like Netbeans but, I liked the Jigloo plugin. It’s free for non-comercial projects. It’s not perfect, sometimes it generates some junk and dirty code… But It’s good to visualize and edit control positions. But you have to organize the code later…

If someone has a better option for Ganymede, tell me!

Jigloo: http://www.cloudgarden.com/jigloo/

I found a plugin called WindowBuilder, but I didn’t try it. I don’t know if there’s a free version of it… If someone liked it, say to me!

WindowBuilder: http://www.instantiations.com/windowbuilder/

Adding one more thing, I didn’t try yet, but it seems to have a way to use “Visual editor” plugin in eclipse using the url update http://update.soyatec.org/Ganymede/ve/1.4/ in “Find and install”.

Trovate tutte le informazioni all’indirizzo: http://www.cloudgarden.com/jigloo/index.html,

Bye.
