Iranian technicians have moved highly sophisticated technical equipment into the uranium enrichment site in preparation for starting it up, the nuclear watchdog reported Monday.

Napolitano adds adviser with ties to terror backers

Last week, Napolitano swore in Damascus-born Kareem Shora, the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC)’s national executive director, to a position on the Homeland Security Advisory Council, an outside-the-department group of national security experts that advises the Secretary.  Shora is the first Arab rights advocate on the panel.  Shora has with ties to terror backers  The ADC has close ties to anti-Israel professor Rashid Khalidi, whose association with BarackObama stirred controversy during last year’s presidential campaign. http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=100486

 

During his years in Los Angeles, Alikhan was responsible for derailing the Police Department’s plan to monitor activities within the Los Angeles Muslim community, where numerous radical mosques and madrassas existed, and where some of the 9/11 hijackers had received support from local residents.

Alikhan is strongly anti-Israel; he has referred to the terrorist organization Hezbollah as a “liberation movement.”  Hezbollah is on the U.S. official terrorist list

La province pakistanaise est un terrain de jeu pour islamistes, militaires pakistanais, talibans, Américains, Indiens…

Dans la violence qui embrase le Pakistan, c’est une guerre oubliée qui ne fait la une de la presse que sporadiquement. L’assassinat récent du ministre de l’Education de la province pakistanaise du Baloutchistan est un de ces événements qui brièvement projette un peu de lumière sur une situation «alarmante et qui se détériore chaque jour», affirme dans un compte rendu de mission Asma Jehangir, présidente très respectée de la Commission des Droits de l’Homme du Pakistan. Plus grande province du pays (40% de sa superficie) mais la moins peuplée (6% de ses 170 millions d’habitants), le Baloutchistan est en rébellion depuis de nombreuses années. Les Baloutches accusent non sans raison le pouvoir central d’Islamabad de piller les ressources de la province — notamment riche en minerais et gaz — et de leur dénier leurs droits.

Province la moins développée du pays, longtemps ignorée du pouvoir central, le Baloutchistan, frontalier de l’Iran et de l’Afghanistan a toutefois une importance stratégique non négligeable. Washington accuse Islamabad de fermer les yeux sur la présence, selon les renseignements américains dans la capitale de la province Quetta, des principaux chefs talibans afghans dont Mollah Mohammad Omar. Téhéran accuse aussi Islamabad d’abriter au Baloutchistan les militants du mouvement Jundollah récemment accusés du meurtre près de la frontière pakistanaise de plusieurs responsables des gardiens de la révolution iraniens.

L’inertie des autorités malgré les promesses qui avaient suivies le retour d’un gouvernement civil en février 2008, la féroce répression menée par l’armée et les services de sécurité contre tout baloutche soupçonné de velléité d’opposition a radicalisé la jeunesse qui pour une part a pris les armes.

L’assassinat du ministre de l’Education du gouvernement provincial — le deuxième ministre tué en deux mois — a été revendiqué par le BLUF (Front Uni de Libération du Baloutchistan). Ce mouvement s’était fait connaître en février en revendiquant l’enlèvement à Quetta d’un haut responsable des Nations-Unies, l’Américain John Solecki, directeur du bureau du haut Commissariat aux Réfugiés. Le BLUF réclamait contre sa libération, la remise en liberté de centaines de baloutches «disparus» dans les geôles des organes de sécurité. John Solecki a été libéré en avril après intervention de nationalistes baloutches auprès du BLUF. Mais trois de ces nationalistes ont ensuite été enlevés, torturés et tués, par les agences de sécurité, accusent les baloutches.

Malgré le retour d’un gouvernement démocratiquement élu, «c’est toujours l’armée qui dicte sa loi au Baloutchistan», affirme Asma Jahangir qui souligne «la poursuite des disparitions, des arrestations arbitraires et des tortures  qui poussent un grand nombre de Baloutches au désespoir». Les nationalistes armés se livrent pour leur part depuis plusieurs mois à des assassinats de personnalités d’ethnie non baloutche, pendjabie en majorité. Une cinquantaine de personnes — professeurs, hommes d’affaires, responsables politiques — ont été tués depuis le début 2009 dans des attentats ciblés visant à faire partir de la province les non baloutches.

Cette situation explosive menace l’intégrité du Pakistan à un moment où les attentats des militants extrémistes islamistes fragilisent le gouvernement. La tentation de l’indépendance, opposée à l’autonomie réclamée par leurs pères, est celle d’une grande partie d’une jeunesse baloutche qui estime n’avoir plus rien à perdre. Ignorer plus longtemps les griefs des Baloutches est d’autant plus dangereux pour Islamabad que le Baloutchistan est devenu un terrain d’intervention à la fois de l’Inde qui aide financièrement les nationalistes, des services afghans et iraniens sans compter les menaces américaines d’employer les avions sans pilotes drones pour «éliminer» les chefs talibans.

The stalemate continues between Iran and the rest of world concerning their ambitions to produce a nuclear weapon. There has been an outbreak in the Ukraine of what may be a super flu. This came across my desk last week, but it has now been picked up by other sites as well. Are we looking at some kind of super bug that has mutated into this deadly disease? Was this concocted in some Russian lab and let loose in the Ukraine by accidnet? Does this play into what we have been hearing about the H1N1 vaccine? Hassan, the Fort Hood murderer, who gunned down 13 people in what I would term as a Jihad, has now been clearly linked to radical Imam al-Awlaki. There was conversation  between the two men regarding Islamic law in regard to the Afghan and Iraqi war. When the shooting happened I posted that this appeared to be a terrorist on a jihad. It will be interesting in the weeks to come to see what Hassan has to say for himself. Friday of last week NASA announced that they had discovered water on the moon. While this may not sound like a big deal, when linked together with the Vatican’s announcement last week of looking at the possibility of extraterrestrial life it may be that some sort of full disclosure is on the horizon! All of this fits very nicely into Darwinism that has been pounded into our heads with media frenzied shows like the History Channels big hype a few months ago about a fossil that would change everything! Now we find out that the fossil changes nothing, but that story isn’t being trumpeted. I have posted about the crash of the dollar and here is another story that shows us that the dollar is sinking lower. How long will this continue and does this open the way for a global currency, which is what I think is the end game.

It becomes clear from the posts above that the world is a very complex place. With the possibility of an all out war in the Middle East what does that mean for us here in the USA? We might be looking at oil reaching over $200 a barrel, a figure I predicted we would see last year. A war in the Middle East could further deepen the recession here and may even result in the complete collapse of the dollar. Added to this is the constant threat of hidden jihadists like the Fort Hood murderer Hassan. When is the next guy going to blow? What if this self-styled jihadist has been able to acquire a dirty nuke? I would recommend setting our houses in order and that means getting food reserves and water stored up in case of an emergency. Form my vantage point, and I certainly don’t have half the data that our government does, it would appear that we have reached the point of no return in the Middle East. In other words an event is looming and it there is no stopping it. The only question is, how will it begin….

Tyrant Museveni has officially joined the anti-gay crusade, saying he had received reports suggesting that “European homosexuals” had launched a recruitment drive in Africa.
Expressing his homophobic tendencies, Tyrant Museveni said the youth must stand firm and abhor the divergent sexual orientation.

“I hear European homosexuals are recruiting in Africa,” said the Tyrant on Saturday, to an audience of mainly youth at the Kampala Serena Hotel that homosexuality is not natural.

“We used to have very few homosexuals traditionally. They were not persecuted but were not encouraged either because it was clear that is not how God arranged things to be.”

“You should discourage your colleagues [involved in homosexuality] because God was not foolish to do the way he arranged,” said the Tyrant, adding, “Mr and Mrs, but now you have to say Mr and Mr? What is that now?”

The tyrant a fool as always, can’t explain why “God” created animals or plants that has both male and female reproductive organs, hermaphrodite. Why isn’t this possible with genes or blood, i.e.sickle cell disease-caused by a genetic disease that affects the haemoglobin molecules in red blood cells?

As a straight person, I feel its our duty to educate the public that homosexuality is not a choice but a disability that we as a society need to understand and sympathise with rather than persecute them.
How many times have you heard, people persecuting epileptic people of which Mrs Janet Museveni suffers from? Never!!

Homophobic tendencies are the same as that of racism. Period!!

In the blazing heat of June sun I went to the mosque to offer Jummaa prayers. Despite my meticulous calculations I reached a little earlier than the planned time. I had to listen to the Imam’s sermon. That day brelvis were at his wrath. He quoted some practices and declared them to be sacrilegious and their practitioners heretic. He concluded his sermon saying “Wallah aalam”

I had nothing better to do at work and was browsing through various blogs till I ended up at one which was full of criticism of Sufi practices and concepts. It was full of Koranic verses supporting writer’s point of view. Blog ended with a familiar note. “God knows best.”

I went back to hometown after a year. I was glad to find Sheesha making its way to such a remote area. Over the pot friends bickered about country’s situation and its image. A friend, who has found comfort in extreme interpretation of holy text, declared Tablighi jamaat apostate for their lack of commitment to Jihad. He ended his conversation saying “Allah ko behter pataa hai”

I wonder what people pretended not to know for they knew everything. They knew to an extent that they could strip a fellow Muslim of his religion. They have made Ulema’s job appear a Child’s play. There is no need to go to a madrassah or to go through purification of nafs for decades to have this luxury. Do it immediately; hold, shoot, kill and bury all heretic deviations and proudly praise God for giving one ability and means to do so.

How pathetic.

I wonder if they would wage war against God if He reveals Truth to be against their interpretation.

Quando ho letto il titolo sul mio reader ho avuto un sussulto:

Gheddafi scrive il codice della jihad e delegittima Osama Bin Laden (fonte)

Un volta sulla pagina del Tempo che riportava la notizia ho avuto un altro sussulto. Il sottotitolo recitava:

Dossier del leader libico mette in difficoltà Al Qaeda. I nuovi principi sono stati approvati dai religiosi islamici. Saif al Salim, figlio del colonnello, ha gestito la trattativa.

Leggendo l’articolo e tornando non senza una certa difficoltà alle fonti (americane) della notizia, le cose si sono fatte più chiare. Passo a spiegare, se non in 30 secondi nel più breve tempo possibile, cosa è successo.

Ma il titolista del Tempo sappia che gli ho mandato diversi accidenti.

L’operazione politica che Gheddafi ha affidato al figlio Sayf al-Islam (e non al-Salim), capo di quella Human Rights Association che lo scorso 14 ottobre aveva fatto liberare “45 membri del Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) e 43 affiliati ad altri vari gruppi jihadisti”, è abbastanza sofisticata e pregna di interrogativi.

Questo “Studio correttivo” (così si intitola) è il frutto della mediazione e dell’accordo fra Sayf al-Islam, l’ex leader del LIFG, Noman Ben Othman e i detenuti del LIFG in Libia in funzione anti-al-Qaida.

Passo indietro. Il LIFG, affiliato all’inizio al brand qaidista anche se, come diversi gruppi alqaidisti, discretamente autonomo, aveva condotto – principalmente negli anni ‘90 – diversi attentati in Libia, aventi come obiettivo il rovesciamento del regime di Gheddafi. Il problema-al-qaida non era ancora scoppiato in occidente (l’11/9 non c’era ancora stato) e quindi la richiesta che Gheddafi fece all’Interpol di spiccare un mandato di cattura internazionale per Bin Laden, cadde nel nulla.

Questo è il primo dato interessante: il braccio libico di al-Qaida operava contro Gheddafi ben prima dell 11/9 – Bin Laden si era esplicitamente pronunciato contro il leader libico in uno dei suoi “messaggi” – e questo, curiosamente, andava a combaciare con alcuni interessi occidentali in Libia, motivo per cui nessuno si prese la briga di considerare la richiesta di Gheddafi. Anzi, come ricorda l’articolo del Tempo, la richiesta cadde a causa del veto britannico, che a quel tempo era ancora nel pieno dello scontro sulla vicenda di Lockerbie.

Comunque la componente libica di al-Qaida, che aveva fatto parte dell’organizzazione sin dai primordi, e cioè al tempo degli “afghani arabi“, ha tuttora una sua forte rilevanza all’interno dell’organizzazione (si veda ad esempio quel Abu Yahya al-Libi al quale discorso lo scorso 20 settembre presenziava la sfocatura di Bin Laden).

Unico dettaglio, non opera più in Libia, o meglio: il LIFG negli anni ‘90 è stato praticamente sgominato e i suoi esponenti ancora attivi in Libia sono stati messi nel carcere di massima sicurezza di Abu Salim (dove – giusto per spiegare i contorni della vicenda – nel 1996, durante una rivolta interna, furono ammazzati almeno 1200 detenuti), mentre i veri e propri al-qaidisti libici – che operano fuori di Libia – sono ancora in giro a fare danni, specialmente in Iraq.

Libero, felice e dissociato da al-Qaida, stava invece il già citato ex-leader del LIFG. Precisamente  era piazzato a Londra, luogo dal quale nel 2007 rientrò in Libia per iniziare a condurre con Sayf al-Islam la suddetta trattativa.

A questo punto non mi metterò a fare dietrologie. Sottolineerò, invece, che la dottrina argomentata nello “Studio correttivo”, per quanto è dato di sapere, non è nuova, anzi. Si tratta di una lettura normalissima di che cosa sia per l’islam il jihad (vedi qui). Per citare ancora una volta la fonte principale nel testo ci sarebbe ad esempio scritto che:

Jihad has ethics and morals because it is for God. That means it is forbidden to kill women, children, elderly people, priests, messengers, traders and the like. Betrayal is prohibited and it is vital to keep promises and treat prisoners of war in a good way. Standing by those ethics is what distinguishes Muslims’ jihad from the wars of other nations (fonte)

Insomma, davvero, il nuovo sta nel dato politico, nell’operazione che si sta tentando di fare. L’islam, il jihad e tutto il resto non sono che il vestito, anche un po’ corto, indossato dagli attori. O, se volete, lo strumento mediatico messo in opera. Guardate le facce, gli atteggiamenti dei detenuti del LIFG ad Abu Salim e capirete meglio di cosa parlo.

Di più, sinceramente, non so dire: anche in questo caso, sappiamo troppo poco per capire come davvero stanno andando le cose.

Modern use of the ushr

While Muslim farmers around the world may pay their ushr locally and individually, ground zero for broad-based, national ushr taxation is in Pakistan and Afghanistan.  Pakistan has a formal, countrywide ushr tax that applies to all Sunnis.  Afghanistan has a de facto ushr system whereby the Taliban collects money directly from farmers in the provinces they control.

Sudan abandoned the ushr after a brief experiment in the 1980s.  Sudan’s “Zakat tax system, which assesses businessmen according to their capital and discriminates against farmers, was widely criticized and almost impossible to collect,” reported the Los Angeles Times.

Although Saudi Arabia has an Islamized tax system, the Saudis rely on the zakat and corporate taxation as their primary sources of revenue.  Perhaps even the Saudis realized that mandating the ushr would be counterproductive.

In Pakistan, farmers pay the ushr off of gross crop value minus the costs of production.  The ushr law assumes that the cost of production is always 25 percent of the gross crop value.  However, the real costs of production are somewhat difficult to quantify among farmers whose primary cost is their own time and labor.

Writing for the Economic Review, Mustafa Khalid found that, “Various studies undertaken at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad and Agricultural Prices Commission (APCOM) show that the cost of production of crops is about 24-52% higher than the gross crop value resulting in a net loss to the growers in Pakistan.”  In other words, Pakistani farmers are already operating at a loss, and valuation is seen as extremely inaccurate.

Although government statistics from the early 1980s show reasonable ushr tax collection rates above 90 percent, by 1992 the collection rate had fallen to an abysmal 32 percent.  Widespread disgust with the ushr is blamed for the refusal of many farmers to pay the tax.  Some farmers see the ushr as double taxation alongside a second agricultural income tax that they have to pay.  Others complain about corruption of their local zakat and ushr councils and therefore refuse to pay.

All of this confirms that ancient ushr system is ill-suited to the modern world, as we discussed yesterday.

Meanwhile in Afghanistan, the ushr isn’t working out so well for farmers there either, but it works out quite nicely for the Taliban.  The United Nations has released these findings:

When in power (in the second half of the 1990s), the Taliban tolerated opium cultivation and facilitated its export. In the process, through a direct taxation on farmers (ushr) they generated about $75-100 million per year to fund a regime without alternative sources of foreign exchange…

In 2006-2007, the drug-related funds accruing to insurgents and warlords were estimated by UNODC at $200-400 million a year. This estimate included incomes from four sources: levies on opium farmers; protection fees on lab processing; transit fees on drug convoys; and taxation on imports of chemical precursors…

Between 2005 and 2008, the total estimated farm-gate value of opium produced in southern and western Afghanistan is US$ 2 billion. It is therefore tentatively estimated that approximately US$ 200 million (10 per cent of US$ 2 billion) was paid as ushr by farmers. Calculations based on UNODC field surveys suggest that Taliban insurgents receive 30-50 per cent of total Ushr levies. This range is also chosen to account for leakage resulting from the tax changing hands, as well as the fact that Taliban has not had total control in the provinces selected. At trader prices, this yields an estimate that Taliban insurgents collected around US$ 60–100 million in farm-gate taxation between 2005 and 2008.

The Afghanistan ushr on opium is a classic example of an ushr imposed by jihadists, collected by jihadists, and used to fund jihad.  The Taliban is making more money than ever, and the driving force behind it is Islamic taxation.

‘Radical Muslims are spreading extremist propaganda and promoting jihad from inside UK jails, a report has claimed.

Counter-extremism think tank the Quilliam Foundation said radicals were also being allowed to lead prayers.And its report said extremist cleric Abu Qatada had issued fatwas from Long Lartin prison in Worcestershire where he is awaiting deportation.

The Ministry of Justice said it had a dedicated unit to tackle the risk of extremism and radicalisation in prison.The Quilliam Foundation said the study, to be published on Monday, was based largely on accounts sneaked out of prisons by high-profile extremists.

The report said: “Prominent pro al-Qaeda ideologues such as Abu Qatada have been able to smuggle messages out of prison to their supporters.”Other convicted extremists have issued pro-jihadist statements from prison while others have appeared on Islamic TV stations from within prison.

“In 2008 and 2009, two of the most prominent Arab jihadists imprisoned in the UK released pro-jihadist propaganda and fatwas from within Long Lartin prison.”Adel Abdel Bary, a leader of Egyptian Islamic Jihad, produced written pro-jihadist tracts from within prison aiming to refute criticism of al-Qaeda, while Abu Qatada issued fatwas from within prison which legitimised jihadist attacks worldwide.”

Mid-Worcestershire MP Peter Luff, whose constituency includes Long Lartin, plans to raise the report’s findings with Home Secretary Alan Johnson and Justice Secretary Jack Straw.

Mr Luff said: “In my view the courts have, in the past, failed to protect us by allowing the release of dangerous individuals from Long Lartin and other prisons, and by delaying the deportation of many others.

“While these deeply dangerous men remain in British custody, we must be absolutely confident that they can do no harm – and these revelations suggest we cannot be confident of that.Full story   BBC

 The International Christian Concern (ICC) has learned that Somali Islamic extremists beheaded four Christians after kidnapping them on July 27 in the coastal town of Merca, 56 miles from Mogadishu.

Fatima Sultan, Ali Ma’ow, Sheik Mohammed Abdi, and Maaddey Diil were killed by members of Al-Shabab, an Islamic extremist organization. The Islamists kidnapped and eventually beheaded the Christians after they refused to renounce their faith in Jesus Christ.

On August 4, a junior Al-Shabab militant notified all the families of the victims that the four Christians had been beheaded for apostasy. He described the Christians as promoters of “fitna,” a Muslim term for religious discord. The militant, who called himself “Seiful Islam” (“the Sword of Islam”), told the families that the bodies will not be given to them “as Somalia does not have cemeteries for infidels.”

One eye witness account said, “All the four apostates were given an opportunity to return to Islam to be released but they all declined the generous offer.”

The four Christians had been working for a local NGO that helps orphans in southern Somalia.

A Somali church leader who monitors the persecution against the Somali church described the latest beheadings as a desperate attempt to “purify” Somalia by eliminating all Christians from what the Al Qaeda linked terror group considers an Islamic Republic. The church leader added that such murders will only serve as a rich seedbed from where many more house-churches will form.

Al-Shabab is a radical Islamic organization fighting to establish an Islamic state in Somalia and enforce Wahhabi/Salafi Islam, an ultra-conservative interpretation of Islam practiced by the Taliban and Al-Qaeda. The Islamist group controls large parts of Somalia and seeks to overthrow the internationally recognized transitional federal government of Somalia.

The Islamists have been carrying out ruthless attacks against the Christian minority in Somalia. Last year alone, members of the group killed more than a half dozen Somali Christians. In July 2009, Al-Shabab beheaded seven people in the southwestern town of Baidoa after accusing them of converting to Christianity and spying for the transitional federal government of Somalia.

Trish sent this along to me and after I read it, felt it should be publicized.  This is not to incite any backlash against Muslims who might be totally against the violence of their religion, but to remind us how valuable our own freedom is in this country.  I have had Muslims come to my aid when years ago when I was broke and hospitalized.  There are always going to be exceptional people in every religion and every race.  The radical tenets of Islam, however, are destructive and my heart goes out to its victims – women in particular, since their lot in life is considerably more difficult in this religion.

My bro sent this to me…

Normally I don’t send these type of e-mails on, I usually delete them. However, my second daughter married a young man who had been raised in Damascus, Syria as a very strict Muslim.  I was devastated and vowed she would never leave this country with him unless I tagged along.  I begged her to leave him as I saw nothing but problems ahead.  His parents came over for a visit and had a real hard time contending with me, they couldn’t believe that a woman, any woman could be as free as I was and as outspoken as I was, (who’d figured).  I also saw the abuse his mother took and she was not allowed to talk or go anyplace without her son or husband.  I snuck her out to the mall and she was petrified the whole time.  I knew he wouldn’t hurt her while she was here, he didn’t know how to deal with me.  The Imams of the local Mosque asked to speak with me because they thought my daughter wanted to embrace the Muslim religion, I met with them and they were disgusted with me when I got done.  I have never been happier then being disliked by the three Imams, I figured I was doing something right.  I also realized  that if Muslims liked me I was doing something drastically wrong. Finally my daughter left him and to this day I thank God for answering my prayers.  What you are about to read is true and can happen so be forewarned and forewarn all the woman in your life.  Shirley

 JOYS OF MUSLIM WOMEN

• In the Muslim faith a Muslim man can marry a child as young as 1 year old and have sexual intimacy with this child, consummating the marriage by 9.
• The dowry is given to the family in exchange for the woman (who becomes his slave) and for the purchase of the private parts of the woman, to use her as a toy.
• Even though a woman is abused she cannot obtain a divorce. To prove rape, the woman must have (4) male witnesses.
• Often after a woman has been raped, she is returned to her family and the family must return the dowry.  The family has the right to execute her (an honor killing) to restore the honor of the family.
• Husbands can beat their wives ‘at will’ and he does not have to say why he has beaten her.
• The husband is permitted to have (4 wives) and a temporary wife for an hour (prostitute) at his discretion.
• The Shariah Muslim law controls the private as well as the public life of the woman.

In the West World (America) Muslim men are starting to demand Shariah Law so the wife cannot obtain a divorce and he can have full and complete control of her.  It is amazing and alarming how many of our sisters and daughters attending American Universities are now marrying Muslim men and submitting themselves and their children unsuspectingly to the Shariah law.

By passing this on, enlightened American women may avoid becoming a slave under Shariah Law.

Ripping the West in Two.

Author and lecturer Nonie Darwish says the goal of radical Islamists is to impose Shariah law on the world, ripping Western law and liberty in two. She recently authored the book, Cruel and Usual Punishment: TheTerrifying Global Implications of Islamic Law.

Darwish was born in Cairo and spent her childhood in Egypt and Gaza  before immigrating to America in 1978, when she was eight years old. Her father died while leading covert attacks on Israel.  He was a high-ranking Egyptian military officer stationed with his family in Gaza .When he died, he was considered a “shahid,” a martyr for jihad. His posthumous status earned Nonie and her family an elevated position in Muslim society.

But Darwish developed a skeptical eye at an early age. She Christianity after hearing a Christian preacher on television.  In her latest book, Darwish warns about creeping sharia law – what it is, what it means, and how it is manifested in Islamic countries. For the West, she says radical Islamists are working to impose sharia on the world. If that happens, Western civilization will be destroyed.

Westerners generally assume all religions encourage a respect for the dignity of each individual.  Islamic law (Sharia) teaches that non-Muslims should be subjugated or killed in this world.  Peace and prosperity for one’s children is not as important as assuring that Islamic law rules everywhere in the Middle East and eventually in the world.

While Westerners tend to think that all religions encourage some form of the golden rule, Sharia teaches two systems of ethics – one for Muslims and another for non-Muslims. Building on tribal practices of the seventh century, Sharia encourages the side of humanity that wants to take from and subjugate others.

While Westerners tend to think in terms of religious people developing a personal understanding of and relationship with God, Sharia advocates executing people who ask difficult questions that could be interpreted as criticism. [Think Salmon Rushdi]

It’s hard to imagine, that in this day and age, Islamic scholars agree that those who criticize Islam or choose to stop being Muslim should be executed. Sadly, while talk of an Islamic reformation is common and even assumed by many in the West, such murmurings in the Middle East are silenced through intimidation.

While Westerners are accustomed to an increase in religious tolerance over time, Darwish explains how petro dollars are being used to grow an extremely intolerant form of political Islam in her native Egypt and elsewhere.

In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in the  U.S. to elect the President by themselves!

I think everyone in the U.S. should be required to read this, but with the ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us sends it on!
