11. Believe me, English will have become the worldly-spoken language in 2012.

12. For the first time in the movies’ history, there are more than one African American key heros in a film: one is the US president, the other is the scientist who saves the day. Is it a sign for the sunrise of an African-centric era in Hollywood, or, just kinda Obama-effect?

Final verdict:

This film was so bad that it turned into a comedy, which in the end made me find it kinda acceptable =)) !

P.S: The best line in the film is “I’m coming home, Dorothy”, which comforted me with the pleasant memories of The wizard of Oz. All the other lines are either cheesy or over-cooked, which made me giggle even if they’ re from a death scene : ).

And “sorry” to a certain someone who did go watching this film with one of his dearests, but I have to tell the truth : ).

I finally got to check a movie off my long list with the viewing of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.

It’s the 1997 movie directed by Clint Eastwood that is based on the true story of Jim Williams, a wealthy art collector in Savannah, Georgia who killed his gay lover. The movie starts with John Cusack’s character, John Kelso, going to Savannah as a reporter with Town and Country magazine. His assignment is to simply cover the annual Christmas party hosted by Jim Williams, played by Kevin Spacey. Kelso’s assignment takes a drastic turn when Williams’ gay lover Billy, played by Jude Law, is shot dead by Williams. Kelso decides to stay and cover the murder trial. I won’t reveal the verdict!

The movie was entirely too long but that’s my only complaint. It was very well done. The characters were very entertaining because Savannah has some odd-balls. Some of the best ones were an outspoken drag queen (who is the real person playing herself), a crazy local who tied horseflies to his collar, and a voo-doo witch. The atmosphere, characters and the film’s set allowed for great mise en scene. The film was rich with great visuals, whether it was in the Bonaventure Cemetery or the inside of Williams’ massive estate.

The film’s director Clint Eastwood kind of speaks for itself, but he is AMAZING. He’s been directing since the 1970s and already had 20 films under his belt before this one. Definitely a good watch, but allow plenty of time for the 2.58 hour movie.

Ontem fui ao cinema ver o mais novo filme-catástrofe de Roland Emmerich e posso afirmar que se vocês já viram outras produções desse cineasta, como O Dia Depois de Amanhã ou Independence Day, não vão se surpreender muito com 2012, que segue a mesma linha de destruição global.

2012 é um ótimo filme para assistir com os amigos, dar risadas e esquecer dos problemas. Não é necessário pensar muito para entender a história, que gira em torno de problemas familiares e conspirações governamentais que já vimos em outros filmes do gênero. O que mais chama a atenção no longa são as situações absurdas e os momentos cômicos que surgem nas horas mais impróprias, quebrando o clima de tensão e drama das cenas.

Faltou criatividade nas cenas de fuga, que se repetiam ao longo do filme. Perdi a conta de quantas vezes eles tiveram que fugir de carro enquanto o chão se abria atrás deles, para depois pegarem um avião, desviando de prédios e monumentos históricos. A duração de quase 3 horas também foi um grande defeito, principalmente pra quem não é muito fã de filmes – catástrofe. As situações altamente forçadas – rosquinha gigante rolando no meio da rua, teto da Capela Sistina, atitude do presidente dos EUA e as fugas da família Curtis – chegam a ser cômicas e dão vergonha alheia.

O filme focou-se muito na situação política presente e não abriu espaço para a história que deu origem ao filme: o calendário Maia e as teorias secundárias. Quem pesquisa um pouco sobre o assunto sabe que as teorias apocalípticas para 2012 são muito ricas culturalmente e dariam uma ótima base se fossem melhor aproveitadas. O calendário de Conta Longa, o I Ching, os mitos Hopi e o WebBot são as principais fontes da teoria de 2012 e mal foram citadas no filme (webbot nem chegou a aparecer). Quase 3 horas de filme mal aproveitadas, na minha opinião.

Apesar dos poréns, 2012 não deixa a desejar em sua proposta. Há muita destruição, frases de efeito e uma liçãozinha moral no final. É um filme que sacia o nosso desejo milenar de ver o mundo indo pelos ares.

PS: Não se empolguem muito com a cena do Cristo Redentor dos trailres e posters.

Due storie diverse: un geologo di successo – che avvertito da un amico fisico di un aumento dell’attività solare e conseguente scioglimento del sottosuolo terrestre che porterà nel 2012 a catastrofi in tutto il mondo, diventa il responsabile dei consiglieri scientifici del Presidente degli Stati Uniti – e uno scrittore, la cui devozione verso il suo romanzo fallimentare lo ha portato a distruggere il proprio matrimonio. Due storie diverse che seguono strade differenti per congiungersi nel finale, quando sulla terra giunge la fine e solo pochi fortunati possono salvarsi a bordo di arche gigantesche e ricominciare una nuova civiltà.

La locandina di 2012

Due ore e mezza di visione, per vedere tanta ripetitività, poco ritmo e il peggior buonismo immaginabile. Una quantità inimmaginabile di effetti speciali, molti dei quali di bassa qualità, e  scene che dovrebbero – in un film del genere – lasciare senza fiato, ma che – invece – risultano stupide, confuse e ridicole. Come le battute da avanspettacolo, le soluzioni narrative scontate che non brillano mai per originalità e gli eventi che risultano particolarmente artificiosi e forzati.

Eppure con oltre 200 milioni di budget ci si aspetta che oltre agli effetti speciali (alcuni dei quali ottimi, per carità, ma altri che lasciano davvero inorriditi per il basso livello, da confonderli con film degli anni 70) un po’ di soldi possano essere utilizzati per ingaggiare uno sceneggiature, almeno, di media bravura. Invece 2012 è un film che non offre niente di nuovo: le solite relazioni difficili tra padre e figlio, i soliti cattivi contrapposti ai soliti buoni, l’immancabile cattivone senza cuore che alla fine si converte per salvare la vita agli altri, eroi che sono gli unici a capire cosa sta succedendo, ritrovandosi pure nell’unico punto della Terra ancora intatto.

Tra situazioni che sprofondano nel trash più puro, il film non si impegna neppure di fornire una giustificazione simil-scientifica a tutto ciò che accade, portando immediatamente lo spettatore difronte a tutti i modi possibili – già visti e rivisti – in cui questo mondo può autodistruggersi, per arrivare al solito prevedibile e scontato finale.

Il varietà ha raggiunto picchi di circa 9 milioni di spettatori (8.990.000 alle 22:01) e del 41% di share (41,09% alle 23:21).

Su Canale 5 il secondo episodio in prima tv in chiaro de I Liceali 2, dal titolo “Quando il gioco si fa duro” con Claudia Pandolfi, Giorgio Tirabassi, Chiara Mastalli e Daniele De Angelis, ha totalizzato una media stabile di 3.838.000 telespettatori, share %.

Il film d’orrore in prima tv 1408 su Rai Due con John Cusack ha registrato un ascolto pari a 2.321.000 telespettatori, share %. Parlando anche dell’omicidio di Meredith Kercher, il secondo appuntamento di Mistero su Italia Uno condotto da Enrico Ruggeri con Daniele Bossari, è stato visto da 2.088.000 telespettatori, share %.

Il programma Mi Manda Raitre condotto da Andrea Vianello su Rai Tre ha ottenuto una media di 1.969.000 telespettatori, share %. Su Retequattro il film di guerra in prima tv Flags of Our Fathers con Adam Beach è stato seguito da 1.528.000 telespettatori, share %.

Su La 7 il talk show Niente di Personale condotto da Antonello Piroso ha interessato il % e telespettatori.

I’ve been a fucking dork about music for about 13 years, but I’d never bought anything on vinyl until about a month ago. My collection — actually let me call it a library, because now I’m officially a pretentious record collector — has been growing steadily, and I still don’t own a record player. I didn’t consider how dumb this must sound to some people until a friend pointed it out to me — I could keep buying CDs for less money, but instead I’m spending more on something I have no use for.

Right now, let’s just say I’m “between formats.” It’s an ugly situation for a nerd to be in. When I sold my car last month, my last decent CD player went with it. Without a way to play CDs, I’m really just paying for the art and printed lyrics. Art is cooler when it’s 12 inches large than when its 5 inches small. If I can’t play either format, I’m going for the big art. It makes sense to me, but my friends think I’m turning into that doughy record-store clerk that John Cusack played.

I can only rectify this situation in two ways: a) start to wear ball huggers and an ironic mustache or b) buy a turntable. If anybody has any advice on buying a record player, help me out in the comments section because I’m totally clueless.

El final se acerca. Nadie está a salvo de los extraterrestres,… ¡eh, espera!,… ¡ah, no!, perdón: nadie está a salvo del fin del mundoooo (*1).

Imaginaos un mundo en el que no haya alimentos, imaginaos un mundo lleno de corrupción, imaginaos un mundo lleno de piratas, dejad de imaginad esta es mi cancióoonnn, oh, oh.

Después de un breve inciso lleno de pequeñas bromas escritas a bombo y platillo, sin ningún tipo de orden o lógica alguna me dirijo pues a relatar, escribir, contar, criticar un pequeña crítica (valga la redundancia). Si os dais cuenta todas mis críticas siempre son pequeñas, pero eso más bien es por mi lado vagativo, como dice el poeta: ” si no sabes , más vale que te subas la bragueta “.

CRITICA-(ZA).

Hoolaaa me llamo Roland (macdonald) Emmerich y os traigo un super castañazo de producción, con 4 efectos. 1 de ellos marca casera (de aquí de España, síiii el agua digital fue creada aquí, en España, gracias a un trasvase digital) unos actores que se toman muy en serio su papelazo en la película y mucha, muchaaa, muchísiiiimaaaa acción por un tubo.

Agárrense los machos porque se viene el 2012. Que sí que sí, también un loco dijo que en el 2010 sería el año del contacto y se forró los pantalones con trozos de periódicos usados con su peliculón del sábado.

¿2012? Sí, por aquí.

Para quien no sepa de qué va todo esto os pongo un poco en antecendentes: supongo que la mayoría de lectores no cineaficcionados habrán ido al cine con la esperanza de ver algo decente  pero  ¿qué es algo decente para un NO CINEAFICCIONADO ?  (Crepusculo, Harry Petas y bodrios varios del siglo XXI).

Con estos antecedentes penales, porque realmente dan pena, se consigue una recaudación del copón, pero, jeje amigo, acaso ¿sabe usted por qué se recaudó tanto? ¡Patrocinadores! Esastoo, esa es la respuesta y además un amigo infalible para rematar el exitazo en taquilla: el internete of course (por supuesto).

Ahora si usted querido lector busca por el joojle “2012″ encontrará un montón de basura del tamaño del Empire State ese del cual nuestro querido director directooor (véase cancioncilla entonada en el capitulo de los simpson cuando el director Skiner conduce el bus escolar) (*2) se ha nutrido y ha adquirido conocimientos tales que asombrarían incluso al más ignorante de los humanos. Luego cogió tales vodrios y dijo algo tal que así:

Ronald (macdonald ) (Parte mala) : ¡Hazlo! Si juntas todas estas chorradicas podemos forrarnos buajaja.

Ronaldiño :  Ey, ¿qué pazaaa?

Ronald (macdonald) (Él mismo) : ¿Quien coño eres tú?

Ronaldiño : Ronaldiñooo.

Ronald (macdonald) (Él mismo cogiendo una pistola y disparando a Ronaldiño): Basta ya de tantas gilipolleces. Sigue contando la maldita critica que me estoy poniendo malico del tó.

Bueno, siguiendo con la crítica, ¿os dáis cuenta? Es que no hay casi nada que contar porque toda la película es un bodrio, una falacia, un moñigo tamaño familiar. Que nooo, lo que más me duele es haber pagado 5 euros  que solo Dios sabe como los conseguí haciendo cosas sucias. Fue todo muy traumático.

Para los que seáis unos seguidores de este directooor directoooor (*2) debéis saber que es una peli más de su estilo, como en todas sus pelis anteriores. Todas ocurren cosas bestiales, excepto en HOLLYWOOD MONSTER.

Pues bien si todavía no ha quedado clara mi crítica hacia la película 2012, lo resumiré todo en breves palabras:

Es una película muy mala que recoge todas las historias y chorradicas varias sobre el fin del mundo en 2012 mezcladas con el humor y la acción inconfundible del direc Ronald Emmerich.

SINOPSIS.

Un geólogo descubre que los rayos del Sol están dañando el núcleo de la Tierra y haciendo que ésta se convierta en una (p)olla a presión. Unos cuantos años después el presidente de los ee uu se hace eco de la situación. Mientras en Chinatown se está acabando de construir unos barcos que han costado unos pocos millones de billones de trillones de dolares, que salvaran a los gobernantes del mundo.

Entonces el día menos esperado todo empieza a ser un desastre. Lo que venia a ser un fin de semana con la familia se convierte en un tormento como si de una convención de 100.000.000 suegras se tratase todas esperando a ver que cara se te queda cuando te dan la noticia de que tu mujer está muerta por una intoxicación provocada por comer hamburguesas de la más alta calidad firmadas y homologadas por los distribuidores cárnicos del país y los cuales no se hacen responsables de los efectos secundarios de los cuales no se sabe nada y no tienen ni idea de lo que están hablando.

Pues así de mal lo pasa el protagonista cuando se entera que un volcán va hacer ¡catabuummmm! y un tío loco con una pancarta lo decía pero nadie le hacia ni P.C.

Entonces sin saber ni cómo ni por qué, ni cuando, los protagonistas se convierten en unos virtuosos del volante : sorteando grietas del tamaño de tu cabeza (sí, de tu cabeza, ¿te has mirado alguna vez en el espejo?), esquivando piedrolos gigantes y ardientes, atropellando a George Bush en una escena y otras muchas situaciones ridículas que sólo se darían a conocer en el 2012, obviamente.

Al final el protagonista se entera gracias a un amigo que trabajaba en la fabrica de Guilette, que estaban fabricando unos barcos y el protagonista que quería publicar su libro de astronautas, dice : pues por mis C. que a mi no me dejan aquí esos pinches pendejos.

Todo acaba bien , matan a un chino en la película mientras subían de escondidos a un barco de ee uu , y poco más.

Después de eso el barco de ee uu se perdió y el director Ronald está a la espera de hacer una nueva serie que se llame “PERDIDOS EN EL MAR 40.000.000 hombres y 200 MUJERES  Y UN HUEVO DE TIEMPO LIBRE SIN INTERNET”)

RESUMEN.

Al final la gente se levantó, uno hizo un intento de aplauso pero fue silenciado misteriosamente. Al rato vino la policía para investigar una misteriosa muerte que les conduciría a la calavera de cristal (*2) pero los iluminatti no se lo iban a dejar fácil, así que decidieron ir a casa del autor de esta crítica y acabar con él para poder finalizarla, por que vaya tostóoooon

The title pertains to my encounter a few hours back. One of my favourite disney songs is “Once Upon a December” from Anastasia. I was pretty psyched to hear it playing while walking to catch 2012 but ALAMAK! the OLD PEOPLE were doing line dance to it lah. Seriously, it was a FML moment.

Anyway, I finally caught 2012. I fulfilled my promise to the youngest one in the family to treat him to a movie and he picked 2012. It was really good, and the first time I saw a cinema in toa payoh filled to the brim at 9.50pm! John Cusack is really hot. HAHAHAHA

Well a couple of weeks ago I posted about all the “worries” about the end of the world on 12/21/12 and how the odds are big time against it in Vegas and everywhere else.

This past weekend we went to see the movie, “2012”, the number one movie of the year (according to the movie’s own site).

I have to say that even though everything is destroyed and we all die, it was a good flick.  OK, some of what I said in the preceding sentence wasn’t quite right, but I can’t give you any spoilers here.

And let’s look at who is in it: Danny Glover, John Cusack, Thandie Newton, how could it go wrong.  Well it could have but it didn’t.

Was it worth the $7 a ticket?  Probably, “yes” for the huge screen view of things coming apart.  I would recommend this one for you to spend the extra $$ on.  The story will be the same on your widescreen TV but not quite as destructive looking.

I knew that 2012 was bad but I didn’t realize the full depth of its awfulness until I went to see it. I just figured that the poor were reviews were genre related rather than being a more than accurate representation of the steaming pile of horse poo that that this film is. Before I lay into it I feel that I need to hold up my hands and admit that I love disaster movies in all their CGI loving glory. Armageddon is one of my all time favorites. But, this film is so bad on so many levels that it makes a really disappointing disaster flick.

Where to start?The plot is like plastic wrap. In fact it is like the crust of the Earth – super thin and prone to cracking.  In a nut shell:

• Scientists in India discover that the earth’s core is heating up so much that it will cause the crust to destabilize, and the White House it alerted
• Super secret plan is launched to save the super rich & powerful as well as all the art & other trinkets that make humanity civilized
• Everyone else dies bar a smattering of Mandarin speaking Tibetans who were building the arks & John Cusack

All the way through the film I was waiting for the other shoe to drop that there would be a solution in the data models The Geologists kept running or a clue in the book The Failed Novelist (John Cusack) had written. But, there was nothing.  We the people, the huddling masses, were buggered. Also, I have never seen continental drift happen so quickly which as a geology major (in another life time) I found annoying.  There is a review by a real geologist here and another good one by the folks at the Slate Magazine.    My hope from the movie is that when the arks rock up to the African continent (which is apparently not flooded & actually got more land mass now so there could have been an evacuation to the cradle of life) the African nations come together & tell them to bugger off because they didn’t give them a heads up!

Oh and best product placement opportunity missed was when one of The Geologist revealed all he brought was a bag full of books because you must save books if you can’t save people. Surely a bag full of Kindles and e-readers would have made more sense & contained more books!

Introduction

I review the film entitled 2012v in this entry . Warning the below review contain spoilers .

Film Review

As a film 2012 is prepossess in the extreme . In fact IMO the film makes Global Warming another work fiction seem creditable and The Day After Tomorrow an Oscar winner . On top of that the plot what very little of it exists is very formulaic . Moving on to the premiers of this movie some how rays from the Sun destabilize the earth core causing massive Semitic activity including later on whole continents moving thousands of kilometres or being swamped by massive tidal waves .

John Cusack plays Jackson Carter a divorcée who is a struggling writer . Danny Glover played the US President . Undoubtedly the movie was a pay check for Cusack and the other starring actors . At times I was laughing at the plot or the CGI driven action sequences . 2012 is the most special effects film that I have seen and the CGI isnt all that great .

A friend who watched the film with me and I estimate that only about five percent of the film is without CGI effects . IMO the film would have worked a lot better as an apocalyptic version of the Da vinci code . At least then the events could be put into a better context . In the very least a semi plausible reason was needed for the events shown in the film .

Finally the ending bored me because it failed to tug on any emotional strings as well as the fact it was just so out there . 2012 is something beyond a brainless pop corn chewing disaster flick .

Run!  It’s the end of the world!  Or so Roland Emmerich would have you believe.  First, he sent aliens to destroy us, then Godzilla came stomping around New York City, and next he froze the world with an ice age.  Now, he throws absolutely everything into a blender in hopes of creating the ultimate disaster movie.  What comes out is stupid, cheesy, and over-the-top.  But it’s also a pretty fun ride.

Plot is of no consequence here, but I’ll give a rundown anyway.  It’s the year 2012, the same year the Mayans supposedly predicted the end of the world.  It’s also the same year there’s a once-in-several-thousand-years alignment of the planets in our solar system, an event that has some negative effects on our sun’s solar flares.  The Earth heats up and the core melts, causing the plates on which our continents sit on to shift around.  Thus, all hell breaks loose as the world is restructured after some dramatic earthquakes, hurricanes, typhoons, tsunamis, etc.

The governments of the world aren’t exactly sitting around doing nothing.  The U.S. has sent Adrian Helmsley (Chiwetel Ejiofor) to get to the bottom of this.  Meanwhile, the governments plan for a contingency: ride out the storm of all storms on gigantic ships designed to ensure the survival of mankind.  In the middle of it all is Jackson Curtis (John Cusack), a failed writer-turned-limo-driver.  He helps his family outrun the end of the world, trying to find a safe place on a planet where there are no safe places.  Anywhere.  Oh yeah, Woody Harrelson is in it as a crazed conspiracy theorist, and Oliver Platt is great as Helmsley’s boss, who is a general asshole.

The real highlight of this movie are the visual effects.  With every movie that Emmerich does, he attempts to outdo himself.  Well, I find it hard for anyone to outdo all the CG carnage featured here.  Yes, there are giant waves hundreds of feet high.  Yes, there are earthquakes that swallow entire cities whole.  Yes, an aircraft carrier gets lifted and tossed onto the White House.  Did I also mention the destruction of Hawaii, a volcanic explosion akin to a nuclear bomb, or the entire state California sliding into the ocean?!  If nature can do it, it’s done here.

I don’t really have too much to say as to why I enjoyed this movie so much.  If this movie piques your interest even in the slightest way, check it out before it leaves theatres.  This is one of those that must be enjoyed on a giant screen with thousands of watts of sound blasting in your ears.  Sure, the plot is dumb, but the actors all seem to have a good time, and if you go in with your expectations in check, you’ll come out with a smile on your face.

No se ni como empezar la reseña para decir que me ha parecido la mejor película palomitera que he visto en todo este año 2009. Ni Harrys Potter, ni vampiros luminiscentes, ni orígenes de mutantes, ni la esperadísima guerra entre robots, ni tan siquiera las rencillas en el espacio entre los tripulantes de la USS Enterprise me han gustado tanto como la peli que vi ayer en una sala de cine.

Bien es cierto que me gustan este tipo de pelis, y más sin son del género de catástrofes (da igual que sea la mítica Terremoto en San Francisco de Clark Gable, que algún día de estos la conseguiré para mi colección, que Volcano, por poner 2 ejemplos), pero los films que generan expectación por su elevadísimo marketing, luego acaban defraudando (no voy a remitirme a las pelis que he nombrado arriba), pero este no es el caso (por lo menos para mi, y yo me he tragado todos los clips, trailers, sinopsis, carteles, imágenes, etc, etc, etc).

No es una obra maestra, no os confundaís, es solo y exclusivamente un blockbuster de calidad (a diferencia de muchas otras), donde las dos horas y media que dura el metraje pasan sin enterarse entre terremotos, tsunamis, explosiones y movimientos de la corteza terrrestre.

Quizás ande un poco predispuesta porque cuando Roland Emmerich rueda una película que tiene una mínima base científica, lo hace bastante bien, y me explico. Todo el mundo puede acudir despues de ver la peli a San Google a buscar que pasará el 21 de Diciembre de 2012, y casi todas las webs, hablarán de el alineamiento de planetas que se producirá para el solsticio de invierno de ese año y que pronosticaron los mayas. En la mayoria de esas webs (quitando las extremistas, por supuesto), hacen suposiciones de los daños tecnológicos que podremos sufrir, pero Emmerich ha ido mas allá y ha basado ese fenómeno en una reacción física que se produciría entre las unidades más pequeñas de un átomo que se desprende de las tormentas solares (que en principio solo pueden producir reacciones químicas, y no físicas) y nuestro planeta (que es mucho suponer, pero bueno), y los daños producidos por esa reacción física los ha elevado a la n-ésima potencia para hacernos disfrutar en la sala del cine con un supuesto apocalipsis. Y lo mejor de todo, es que por muchos terremotos que veamos, por muchas nubes piroclásticas que abarquen la gran pantalla o por muchas olas (una escena “tipical Roland Emmerich”, lo que le gusta a este hombre el movimiento de las aguas salvajes y descontroladas) que inunden el planeta, no se hace cansina la película, y eso no es solo por la forma de realizar dichos fx, sino porque los personajes no son tan planos como nos suelen mostrar otros directores de blockbusters.

Además su reparto es bastante atrayente (por lo menos para mi). John Cusack, nunca tendrá ese “noseque-queseyo” que pueden tener otros actores que llevan a las masas a ver sus películas por muy malas que sean, pero en todas las que he visto de él, cumple y bastante bien (no olvidemos esa Alta Fidelidad). Sabe meterse en su papel y nunca parece que se limite a leer los diálogos  como un actor (no podía dejar pasar la escenita con el gobernador de California). La presencia de Danny Glover como el presidente es un aliciente más (menos mal que no tenemos de nuevo a Morgan Freeman para encarnar dicho papel), al igual que la presencia de Amanda Peet, que si bien, tiene en su trayectoria mas de un bodrio, aqui es más que pasable como la madre angustiada por el futuro de sus hijos.

Pero no todo son puntos buenos para la gran catástrofe que se avecina (o no?), ya que hay fotogramas de la película que tienen cierto tufillo a otras películas catastrofistas, como el tsunami que arrasa India (demasiado parecido al de Deep Impact), o la erupción del volcan de Yellowstone (Dante’s Peak o Vulcano), aunque eso sí, estan mucho mejor conseguidas (para mi la mejor de toda la película es la de Yellowstone, sólo por esa escena merece verse la película), vamos, que originalidad no es que tenga mucha, pero esta bien llevado y enlazado al guión con todo lo que ocurre, ya que conocemos a muchos personajes, que de una manera u otra enlazarán su destino al destino final del planeta.

Desde el punto de vista científico………..pues podria decir mucho mucho mucho,  y no es que mi especialidad sean los neutrinos precisamente, pero hay cosas que son de “cajón”, como el poner cristales en un arca que se supone que te va a salvar de un montón de tsunamis que arrasarán todo a su paso!!!!! O que según se cierre la puerta del arca, los motores (enormes para mover una nave así) se pongan a funcionar en menos de una décima de segundo, o que saquen dicha nave del Everest en menos de medio minuto mientras se le cae casi toda la montaña encima. O me voy a la erupción donde se encuentra Woody Harrelson viendo como la naturaleza se rebela contra el ser humano. Una explosión de esa magnitud genera un impulso electromagnético que fundiría todos los chips tanto de la radio portatil que lleva Harrelson como los de los circuitos de la carvana que usa el protagonista para huir. Si obviamos todo esto y algunas cosas más, se podría decir que es perfecta como película de puro entretenimiento y nada más.

Como opinión personal decir que Emmerich sabe utilizar el miedo colectivo a un acto determinado (alienígenas, monstruos mutados, el fin del mundo, bien sea por el efecto del calentamiento global o como en este caso una profecia formulada hace millones de años) y exagerarlo hasta límites insospechados, aunque a veces repite la fórmula de como transcurren sus películas. Científicos de varios lugares del mundo, que se ponen en contacto para contarse lo que puede ocurrir y coordinar sus esfuerzos, protagonistas con los que empatizas a la primera oportunidad, desastres a lo largo de todo el globo terráqueo, desarrollo en alza pero sin perder el interés en la segunda mitad del filme…. Todo esto podría hacerlo cualquiera, pero porqué será que a todos no les sale bien?

En fin……..que ya no me extiendo mas, entretenida, interesante, palomitera y sobre todo para verla en el cine, en pantalla grande con sonido envolvente, para que podamos sentir como se aproximan las aguas para devastar todo a su paso. Si te gustan los blockbuster, el mejor que ha salido este año.

Det sista datumet i Mayaindianernas kalender; domedagen. Mayaindianerna baserade sina profetior på astrologi, men det finns andra profeter och religioner som har kommit fram till att domedagen borde inträffa ett datum i dom krokarna också, oberoende av Mayaindianerna.

Filmen 2012 handlar alltså om den här domedagen som snart är hos oss. Som naturvetare kunde jag inte låta bli att störa mig på ganska många saker i filmen som verkligen inte borde varit, men trots det var den riktigt underhållande. Det är en lång film, men den kändes aldrig speciellt lång. Skådespelarinsatserna var väl ganska lama, Woody Harrelson dör tyvärr ganska tidigt när Yellowstone får ett gigantiskt utbrott. Typiskt, han var rolig. Jag brukar gilla John Cusack, men hans insats var verkligen inget att hurra för. Men filmen är absolut sevärd, i alla fall på bio, stor duk och bra ljud, om man kan bortse från allt som inte borde kunna ske, hur otrolig hela saken är och alla klicheér. Sevärd.

I och för sig, vad man tittar på för film spelar ju egentligen inte så stor roll när sällskapet är det rätta.

Filme: Quarto 1408, baseado num conto de Stephen King.

Frase: O que eu fui você é, o que eu sou você será – dita pela figura paterna decadente de John Cusack enquanto ele tem alucinações provocadas dentro de um quarto amaldiçoado, lugar que se resume num parque de diversões dentro de três cômodos.

A frase, se formos analisar, é muito bonita e filosófica. Chega a ser até inspiradora se formos pensar num pai ou num avô muito íntegro nos dizendo-a.

Agora, imaginem ouvir isso de um travesti profeta! Medo.

O ultimo BlockBuster de Roland Hemerich realmente surpreendeu.

O bochichos em cima de filme foi algo surpreendente. Não sei se pelo Diretor ser um especialista em destruir o mundo ou se pelo fato de dessa vez não se tratar de Et’s. Ou de um fato isolado em um ponto X no Iceberg Z na Antártida.

Talvez os nossos medos nos levem a querer saber sempre o Futuro, e talvez por isso nunca conseguimos reparar os erros do passado. Mas isso já é outros quinhentos.

Até que enfim fui no Cinema e sai muito, mas muito satisfeito mesmo com um filme. O cara é simplesmente o melhor no que faz. É um filme de ação do começo ao fim. É um filme sem peso, surpreende a cada novo Take.

A muito tempo não sai do cinema com a sensação de: Putz preciso ver esse filme dinovo!!!!!

Tem alguns pontos fracos no filme, sim tem!!!!Como diria minha vó perfeito só Deus…..

Como por exemplo, a Cena do Rio de Janeiro não é exatamente como está no Cartaz. O Cristo aparece apenas em uma cena onde John Cusack, olha para um noticiário que exibe as imagens do Cristo caindo após um tremor de terra.

Um outro ponto que gostaria de comentar é que o tema 2012 não é muito abordado. Mas fazer o que esse é o efeito Hollywood no filme. Provavelmente se abordagem muito as teorias a cerca do fim não teria o tal apelo comercial.

E vou deixar um outra pergunta que ficou no ar e que serve de atrativo para que quem não viu fique um pouco mais curioso. E vale dizer que não ouvi essa pergunta nem uma, nem duas e nem três vezes das pessoas que assistiram o filme:

Mas o mundo não vai acabar em Fogo?!?!

Bom é isso o filme é  recomendadissimo…Atendeu completamente as expectativas para a qual foi feito. Afinal pra falar de casualidades da vida cotidiana, pra demonstrar as parodias das lógicas contemporâneas modernas tem os outros Wood Allen, da vida por ai….Não se deixe enganar por críticos da vanguarda pós moderna contemporâneo radical!!!!hehehehe

Assistam por que 2012 tá ai!!!!!!!!!hehehe

IMHO, a grossly underrated movie. Funny, smart, and comically dark in a way I really enjoy.

The Cusacks have some hometown sensibilities I can relate to, and Minnie Driver is fabulously appealing as an actress and sexy thang, and as little as I’ve seen her in “real life,” an equally decent human being.

We watched this movie, 2012, last night at Glorietta 4. “a very nice movie…”,  mala-titanic ang style ng pelikula. Sulit na sulit ang 150/pax na fee. The movie ran for almost 3 hours! Gosh, its so mahaba. Nagstart ang movie ng 10:30PM and ended at past 1AM! but worth it.

The story of the movie was based on the speculations and predictions of the Mayans. According to them, the world will come to an end on December 2012. Well, us, as Christians, do believe in end of the world, but no one would know when it is, si God lang… Anyway, for entertainment, 2012 is highly recommended for those movie addicts.

โปสเตอร์ 2012

เป็นหนังที่เห็นตัวอย่างครั้งแรก ตอนที่ไปดูหนังเรื่องแรกประเดิมการปิดเทอมที่มหาวิทยาลัย ที่โรงเครือ APEX (Lido) ซึ่งก็คือ Inglourious Basterds 

(เรื่องนี้ชอบมากๆ แต่ขออนุญาตวิจารณ์ทีหลัง เพราะจำประเด็นไม่ค่อยได้แล้ว) เป็น Trailer แรกๆที่ได้เห็น ก็รอบแรกที่ดูก็รู้สึกชอบมากๆ คาดหวังว่า เป็น หนังแนว Natural Disaster ที่น่าดูเรื่องนึง

เมื่อได้ฤกษ์ก็เลยได้ไปดูที่เซ็นทรัลปิ่นเกล้า ภาพยนตร์ทั้งเรื่องมีความยาวสุทธิประมาณ 2 ชั่วโมงครึ่ง ก็ถือว่ายาวปกติสำหรับหนังประเภทนี้

ส่วนตัวแล้ว ก็มี ความคาดหวังกับเรื่องนี้เล็กน้อย เนื่องจากผู้กำกับ Roland Emmerich และผลงาน The Day After Tomorrow ที่แสนประทับใจ (ฉาก snowflake คลุมเมืองไปถึงยอดตึก Empire State ยังติดตาตรึงใจถึงบัดนี้) แม้จะไม่ได้ดู 10,000 BC (เพราะข่าว + รีวิวไม่ค่อยสู้ดีนัก) แต่ก็คาดว่า นี่อาจเป็นการคืนฟอร์มของแก ซึ่งเป็นหนังแนวที่เฮียแกถนัดน่าจะทำได้ดี

Trailer : เรื่องนี้ Trailer อลังการและเน้นฉาก CG มาก แต่ก็ไม่ค่อยสื่ออะไรมากเกี่ยวกับเรื่องราวและประเด็นหลักของหนัง (ซึ่งคาดว่า คงตั้งใจให้เป็นอย่างนี้อยู่แล้ว) ซึ่งอาจทำให้ คนดู อาจเกิดความรู้สึกแบบปรากฏการณ์ รักแห่งสยาม ได้ คือ ตั้งใจเข้าไปดูหนังประเภทหนึ่ง แต่ก็อาจผิดหวังเพราะพบว่าตัวหนังนั้นไม่ได้เน้นที่ประเด็นเดียวกับ trailer เลยแม้แต่น้อย (แม้หนังจะดี หรือไม่ดีก็แล้วแต่ แต่ก็อาจส่งผลให้เกิดความรู้สึกทางลบได้ตั้งแต่แรกแล้ว) — ยังดีที่ theme หลักเรื่องนี้เป็นโลกแตก เลยเบนประเด็นออกไปได้ไม่มากนัก

เนื้อหาหลักของภาพยนตร์เรื่องนี้ ได้หยิบยกประเด็นสำคัญที่สามารถ จูงใจ และโน้มน้าว ให้คนเชื่อโดยง่าย โดยอ้างถึงการล่มสลายของโลกที่จะเกิดขึ้นในวันที่ 21 ธันวาคม 2012 ซึ่งเป็นวันที่ตรงกับวันสุดท้ายของปฏิทินชาวมายัน, เป็นวันที่ได้ถูกกล่าวอ้างว่าจะเกิดการ polar shift หรือขั้วโลกบิดกลับโดยฉับพลัน, มีการเรียงตัวกันของดาวเคราะห์ในระบบสุริยะเป็นเส้นตรง (ซึ่งเนื้อหาทั้งหมดสามารถสรุปได้แล้วว่าไม่เป็นความจริงแต่อย่างใด) มาเป็นประเด็นหลัก และพูดถึงครอบครัวของ Jackson Curtis (John Cusack) และบุคคลต่างๆในโลก ที่ต่อสู้ดิ้นรนเพื่อเอาชีวิตรอดจากเหตุการณ์นี้

เรื่อง ราวต่างๆ ที่จริงก็ไม่ได้มุ่งเป้าไปที่การทำลายล้างโลกเท่านั้น แต่ก็ยังดีที่มีการแทรกสอดแง่คิด หรือ จุดจบของตัวละครหลายชุดไว้

สิ่งที่ชอบ
1.ฉาก CG การทำลายล้างต่างๆ ได้ใจไปเต็มๆ ให้ความรู้สึกสมจริงมาก
2.แง่คิดที่ได้จากการจากลาหรือการใช้ชีวิตในห้วงเวลาสุดท้ายของตัวละครในเรื่อง
3.มุกตลกจิกกัด ต่างๆ ที่สอดแทรกเอาไว้ได้อย่างแนบเนียน (และฮาจริงๆซะด้วยสิ)
4.เพลงประกอบ (Score) ทุกเพลงให้ความรู้สึกเกิดอารมณ์ร่วมในขณะนั้นได้ดี
5.คำคม เรื่องนักการเมือง และนักวิทยาศาสตร์ที่ท่าน ปธน ได้พูดเอาไว้ (ชอบมากอันนี้)

สิ่งที่ไม่ชอบ
1.เนื้อหาของเรื่องและพล็อตหลักที่อ่อนมาก ในเมื่อต้องการทำหนังที่มีเนื้อหา ‘อ้างอิง’ วิทยาศาสตร์ (เป็น Sci-fi ไม่ใช่ Fantasy) อย่างน้อยก็ควรเขียนบทต่างๆให้มีความสมจริงมากกว่านี้
2.เรื่องราวบางตอนดูไร้สาระมาก และเป็นส่วนเกินในภาพยนตร์อย่างเห็นได้ชัด ซึ่งสามารถทำให้ดูแล้วสนุกได้อรรถรสเท่าเดิมด้วยซ้ำ บางฉากก็ไม่ทราบว่าใส่เข้ามาทำไม
3.การควบคุมอารมณ์ของคนดู หนังไม่สามารถกำหนดทิศทางของอารมณ์ได้ชัดเจน เหมือนกับมีบางช่วงที่ควรจะ peak แต่ก็ไม่ peak ซะที พออารมณ์ถึงแล้วกลับตัดฉากไปฉากอื่นซะงั้น
4.เป็นอีกหนึ่งเรื่องที่ตัวละครเหมือนออกมาจากโรงผลิต เนื่องจาก คนดีก็ทำตัวได้ดีเหลือเกินจนไม่น่าเชื่อ คนชั่ว ก็ไม่น่าเชื่อว่าจะทำได้ถึงขนาดนั้น ไม่ค่อยสมจริง

OVERALL 6/10
ถือเป็นหนังที่ดูแก้เบื่อได้ แต่ก็ไม่ได้ดีนัก เปรียบเทียบกับเรื่องของ The Day After Tomorrow ที่มีเนื้อหา รายละเอียดและมีมิติที่ชัดเจนกว่านี้ เรื่องนี้ถือว่าด้อยกว่าค่อนข้างมาก ถ้าชอบ CG หรือเข้าไปดูเรื่อยๆเพื่อความเพลินเพลินก็ไม่ควรพลาด (และเข้าไปดูในโรงภาพยนตร์เท่านั้น !!) แต่ถ้าดูแล้วจะให้ตีความ วิจารณ์ก็คงบอกได้ว่าไม่ค่อยชอบนัก เพราะเนื้อหาขัดหูขัดตา จขบ เหลือเกิน -.-

ส่วนตัวงงกับประเด็นของหนัง ว่าต้องการจะสื่ออะไร เพราะการที่พระเอกได้รอดขึ้น Ark ก็เพราะความบังเอิญเท่านั้น และยังต้องลอบเข้าเรือไปซะด้วย ถ้าเราลองกลับมาย้อนคิดถึงคนทั่วไปที่ไม่ได้ ‘โชคดี’ เจอคนบ้าที่ Yellow Stone แบบพระเอก หรือ ไม่รู้จักกับคนขับเครื่องบินไปจีนแบบพระเอก จะทำยังไง สุดท้ายก็ต้องตายอยู่ดี

ถ้าจะให้แก้ตัวให้หนัง ก็คงต้องบอกว่า พวกพระเอกมีความตั้งใจ มุ่งมั่นที่จะมีชีวิต แต่เอาจริงๆเป็นเรื่องตลกมากกว่า ที่เหมือนกับหนังจะสอนว่า ถ้าอยากรอดตอน 2012 ให้หาทางรอดตายทุกวิถีทาง ไม่ต้องสนใจคนอื่นเลย (เอาจริงๆผมยังลุ้นด้วยซ้ำว่าหนังจะกล้าเล่นจบแบบ ให้ทุกคนตายหมด รึเปล่า แต่สุดท้ายก็ให้พระเอกรอด ทั้งๆที่ชีวิตคนเกือบทั้งเรือเกือบต้องมาตายเพราะครอบครัวพระเอกเท่านั้น )(จริงๆ คนที่น่าชมเชยคือนักวิทยาศาสตร์ ต่างหาก)

นอกจากนี้ยังมี plot ความบังเอิญชนิดที่พวกเล่นพนันตามคาสิโนยังอาย ซึ่งดูแล้วขัดหูขัดตาเป็นอย่างมาก ทำให้เชื่อได้ว่าพระเอกนี่ถ้าแทงหวยคงถูกหลายล้านทุกงวดแหง อะไรจะบังเอิญได้ขนาดนั้น ดูแล้วก็ตลกนี้ที่หนังฟอร์มขนาดนี้ แต่ก็ยังกลบข้อเสียตรงนี้ไม่ได้
