Luckily, those of us living in LA have been able to enjoy 80 degree weather for the past couple of weeks, but now – fall is in the air! As the weather cools and we pull out our sweaters & boots, drink our hot cocoa, and prepare for Halloween, I thought the song I chose for today was perfectly appropriate for this new fall mood.

John Dahlback released “Autumn” (Original Mix) John Dahlback Autumn on YouTube a little while back, but it is still one of my favorites. It’s one of those songs that can uplift you, even if the weather may bring you down. (I’m a little attached to summer). The first details from Stereosonic have just been released. There must be something about Swedish life that breeds amazing electronic producers. Eric Prydz, Steve Angello, John Dahlback and Jesper Dahlback are a great proof. You can add another name to this list and that name is Style of Eye.

I’ve been following him ever since Claude VonStroke put The Big Kazoo EP out on his label, Dirtybird, which was soon after he released an EP on John Dahlback’s label, Pickadoll. He’s always constantly charting on the big name DJs top ten list and continues to release records on high profile labels, not to mention his Swedish Grammy nomination. His work is inventive, fresh and applicable to a ton of genres from house to techno to electro to whatever you want. If you’ve never heard of him I offer up his latest work, a remix of Little Boots‘ track “Remedy” and then I demand that you head over to Beatport and buy his work. I’d also reccommend his BBC Radio One Essential Mix, it’s fantastic (editors note: fucking incredible.)
