            The Alliance for Nationalism and Democracy (ANAD) Partylist in Mindanao has accused local terrorist group CPP-NPA-NDF of double talk when it blamed the government for the stalled peace talk but at same time declared a Mindanao-wide allout offensive against state security forces.

            “Local Maoists communists are like waving the laurel leaves of peace in their left hands but at same time brandishing sharp swords on the right hands,” declared ANAD Partylist-Mindanao in a statement.

            According to ANAD-Mindanao, CPP-NPA-NDF’s Mindanao Commission, otherwise known as KOMMID, is only making the presence of US soldiers in Mindanao under the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA) a flimsy excuse to justify its terrorism and extortion activities especially in the Southern Mindanao Region.

            Under any circumstance, NPA’s wanton and brazen murder of unarmed civilians is unjustifiable and unacceptable to the God-fearing Filipino people..

“No amount of double talk could justify the plunder of precious lives like that of the eight-year-old girl Jennilyn Salahay,” ANAD-Mindanao further pointed out.

The innocent Salahay was killed in an ambush of a Surigao Development Corporation (SUDECOR) marketing truck that was on its way to the logging camp in the town to deliver goods for the loggers at around 6:45 in the morning last September 11 at Brgy Puyat, Carmen town. She hitched ride on the truck to sell homemade cakes and candies to the logging workers to help her poor parents.

CPP-NPA-NDF leaders like Joma Sison, Luis Jalandoni and KOMMID spokesman George Marlos @ Ka Oris, and the representatives of their pseudo partylist groups like  Satur Ocampo and Teddy Casiño of Bayan Muna, Liza Masa of Gabriela, and Joel Maglungsod of Anak-Pawis are all guilty for the murders, atrocities and abuses committed by the NPA. The government should prosecute them and their elks to the fullest, concluded ANAD-Partylist.
