NORRISTOWN, Pa. (CBS) — The legal problems continue to mount for a former cleaning woman from Philadelphia accused of stealing a rare bust of Benjamin Franklin from a home on the Main Line: she’s now facing federal charges.

A federal indictment charges 46-year-old Andrea Lawton with one count of transporting stolen property over state lines and one count of concealing stolen property.

Lawton is accused of stealing the bust, reportedly worth about $3 million, from a Bryn Mawr home in late August, then fleeing to Alabama.

Assistant US attorney Joseph Khan says Lawton was taken into custody about a month later.

“The defendant was arrested after exiting a bus in Elkton, Maryland, at which time she had the bust on her.  And her intent was to sell the bust,” he tells KYW Newsradio.

The bust was damaged during its ordeal.

Lawton has already been ordered held for trial in Montgomery County on burglary, theft, and conspiracy charges.  Authorities are still looking for her accomplice.

Lawton remains jailed in lieu of $1 million bail.

Is it just me or is he looking kind of old and fat these days? Still love him though.

But I also find him to be a lyrical genius with a mastery of the language that is unparallelled in the world of hip hop. He’s a powerful voice and a powerful actor – and he also has a sense of drama that I find intoxicating.

Anyway, my fan-girl-ness aside… His new video for Space Bound is no exception to the rule. Much like with Love the Way You Lie (which is also directed by Joseph Khan) there’s a strong cinematic feel to the video. Violence, too, obviously – this is Eminem, after all, and the song is another cautionary tale of the line between love and domestic abuse.

The video starts with Eminem hitching a ride from the ridiculously beautiful former porn star Sasha Grey. In the car, Eminem splits into two versions of himself – a calmer one and an aggressive one (quite possibly a throw-back to his famous Slim Shady persona).

This continues through a scene in a diner – where Eminem check the lovely Sasha’s phone and discovers that she is, in fact, two-timing him – to a room where he attempts to choke Sasha to death, before she disappears in front of his eyes and he puts a gun to his chin. The entire story then plays itself backwards to show Em climbing into the car again.

Take what you will from it – he dreamed it, it’s a hallucination, it’s a cautionary tale, it all actually happened – it’s a powerful, powerful video.

Unsurprisingly, the watchdogs were up in arms – with anti-violence group Mothers Against Violence providing my favourite soundbyte: “Children are influenced by the things they see,” the group said. “If we feed violence, it becomes strong. Like an addiction.”

“It’s all about the money with these videos. Eminem isn’t thinking about the families affected. It’s selfish — it comes to a point when selfishness becomes evil.”

It’s shot largely in pallettes of dark hues and greys with some bright pops of colour – the neon sign, the condiments on the diner table, the door – and obviously the light that Em raps against . Khan uses intense close-ups – particularly of the actors’ faces and upper bodies – much as he did with Love the Way You Lie, which produces a sense of claustrophobia and that inescapable sense of being in-your-face that Eminem trades on. It’s gritty and intense – a great piece of directing.

*Sidebar: The former Transformers star has donated her fee for the new video to a Los Angeles women’s shelter, Sojourn, which provides housing, legal assistance, support groups, community outreach programs, etc.

Ok, so I’m not gonna lie, with all the Rihanna things happening today I kinda forgot about Chris, but I’m liking his video though, nothing proper special but its ok, very christmasy and Cassie looks slick as usual (loves it).

In general though I think the vid’s ok, seeing some Michael Jackson esq poses at the end, which is aight, but ugh! a bit corny everyone’s doing it these days. I know Chris was heavily inspired by him but he doesnt need that anymore, he’s matured so much as an artist I feel he’s got his own identity in this industry, so dance wise I’d like him to build on that more.

Last year, it seemed like the singer’s priorities were mixed up as she lost track of her career.

Britney Spears thinks up the ideas for her videos

“She’s a mum now, and one of the concerns was that she wants to work hard, and she wants to see her kids,” said Joseph Khan to MTV News.

“When I see her on set, she’s extremely professional, and it’s a job. There’s really literally no messing around. Whatever accolades she gets, she deserves.”

The filmmaker previously worked with Britney on the videos for Toxic and Stronger, and says this one bears little comparison to their earlier work.

“It’s a much more mature sound and much more mature lyrics, and she always has the greatest ideas,” he continued.

“The initial kernel of the idea always came from her. She’s hyper-aware of pop culture. This one is a bit more fashion-forward. The only big difference is that she’s been through a lot, and the big curiosity for me was how much she can give me on set.”

Britney’s first single from the latest album, “Womanizer“, kind of caught me off guard. Sure, it’s poppy, but it is in the Pop genre. This canned, electronic, dance stuff is what the genre is all about! And it fits well with me for mindless, upbeat, background fill that is the morning drive when I forget my iPod or iPhone – thank you HOT 99.5!

But now the video is out. Holy crap! It’s been since the “Toxic” days that she’s looked this good – 5 years ago! Speaking of “Toxic”, this video is from the same guy, Joseph Khan, who also did the video for “Stronger“.

This very well might be a successful comeback for Britney if the rest of the album isn’t all filler tracks. Only time on the radio or interwebs will tell (no more Britney albums for me, not since the 2nd album).
