I must’ve played this song ’bout 50 times when I first downloaded the album, it just has a vibe that I was feelin’ at the moment dealing with some ish. The video is decent, effectively capturing Cudi’s melancholy featuring Ratatat’s production and MGMT on the hook but.. Where are they?

La maquinaria de promocion del filme ” I come with the Rain”- protagonizado por Lee Byung Hun y Josh Harnett- sigue en marcha y para ello ( y tras su paso por el festival internacional de cine de Busan) posan para un especial de 12 paginas que prepara la revista Vogue para su edicion de Noviembre!

El concepto del photoshoot – en propias palabras de Vogue – fue el de el estilo  “Macho Man”, un concepto que fuera muy popular en Italia en la década de los 50y 60 – y que como todas podemos observar …. ambos pudieron reflejar completamente , o no?? * babas totales *

Las imagenes fueron tomadas en una sesion en un hotel de Haeundae(balneario de la ciudad de Busan donde transcurre la pelicula del mismo nombre protagonizada por Ha Ji Won) apenas ambos actores pisaronsuelon de Busan para asistir al mencionado festival de dicha ciudad . … es mas ambos actores tuvieron que hacer la sesion en apenas unas horas ya que ni bien aterrizaron tenian pactadas decenas de entrevistas en las que Byung Hun acompaño a su famoso coprotagonista y hasta le fungio de guia y traductor … awwwwwww!

Y se ve a leguas que ellos han formado una buena amistad … guiandonos de las declaraciones del propio Harnett en esta edicion de Vogue :

“He creado una amistad muy buena con Lee Byung Hun. Yo sólo dormía dos horas y tenía que hacer una y otra entrevista, pero yo estaba feliz porque Lee Byung Hun estaba conmigo. “

Y es que se ve que el famosisimo Harnett esta agradecido de la gran hospitalidad de su amigo Byung Hun ya que al parecer a este ultimo no le basto hacerle de traductor y guia ,sino que hasta casi casi de chofer xD ya que segun conto el actor fue a recibirlo al aeropuerto y lo llevo a Busan con el a pesar de haber estado todo el dia grabando escenas para IRIS, su reciente estrenado drama.

Que lindos! … ash! yo quisiera un chofer, guia y traductor como el! xD

Josh Hartnett ha contado en su reciente viaje a Corea que tiene una cierta afinidad con el pueblo coreado y que tiene unas ganas inmensas de trabajar con el talentosisimo actor  Song Kang Ho(Thrist, The Good, The Bad & The Weird) y el premiado director Park Chan Wook(Oldboy).

El actor estuvo promocionando su ultima pelicula “I Come with the Rain” en el festival internacional de cine de Busan asi que aprovecho para ganarse el corazoncito de los coreanos con estas declaraciones =P.

“I come with the rain” es la pelicula que une a la estrella de Hollywood con 2 estrellas asiaticas : el coreano Lee Byung Hun y el japones Takuya Kimura …. asi como con el gran Harvey Keitel!

En una entrevista reciente, dijo:

“Me encanta el estilo de las películas de Park Chan Wook. Quiero trabajar con él. Sobre  los actores, quiero trabajar con Song Kang Ho.”

La gente se sorprendió mucho de su claro interés y conocimiento sobre personajes del cine coreano gracias a estas declaraciones.

Josh Hartnett también mencionó :

“Fue muy divertido trabajar en esta película. Recorrimos todo Hong Kong… Creo que tengo una conexión con el pueblo coreano. Mi mejor amigo está saliendo con un coreana y mi hermano menor ha aprendido mucho sobre la historia de Corea . Me gustaria contar con  Lee Byung Hun para una película que quiero dirigir … Aunque también quisiera trabajar con Lee Young Ae.Todas las  mujeres coreanas que he visto desde mi visita  son realmente hermosas.”

Terminó sus declaraciones  diciendo: ” Muchos fans me han mostrado su apoyo, y estoy muy contento con ello. Yo no he podido ver la ciudad a causa de mi agenda, pero la próxima vez que venga visitare diferentes lugares.”

“I come with the Rain” se estreno  en Francia el 2008, pero recien ha sido estrenada en Corea.

hahahaha el tipo se enamoro de Corea xD …. y no lo culpo! , como decimos por ahi : el unico riesgo de ir, es el no querer salir de ahi nunca mas!

30 Days of Night (2007)

30 Days of Night, superficially a horror film but truly an action/suspense to the bone, is based on an outstanding comic book miniseries with the same title. It is directed by David Slade, who brought us the surprisingly suspenseful and unique Ellen Page vehicle Hard Candy. Although 30 Days of Night is a different type of film, the same all encompassing suspense permeates and Slade is once again very fortunate to have some of the best young actors around today as part of his cast.

The film takes place in the isolated village of Barrow, Alaska where the sun annually disappears for 30 days straight. As the sun sets for the last time in a month, the town Sheriff, Eben (Josh Hartnett), increasingly gets busier and busier over the course of a few hours. Some peculiar vandalism occurs and some sled dogs are killed. He investigates and soon stumbles upon a bizarre drifter (Ben Foster) who becomes the film’s “crazy old man” cliché character who warns of the town’s fate. Although Foster is of course young, that cliché may very well be intentional as it probably goes all the way back to the Renfield character in Dracula. Foster’s character is definitely the Renfield of this film, so perhaps he brings the formula full-circle. Anyway, the townie characters are for the most part likeable and that makes it even more exciting when a ruthless posse of vampires shows up and wreaks havoc on men, women, and children alike. No punches are pulled as we see Sheriff Eben do his very best to protect the few folks who remain holed up in some old guy’s attic.

The film has solid performances from Hartnett and Melissa George and I guess they help to anchor the marketing end and make this very good movie some well earned money. However, others are far better. Ben Foster convinces this viewer that his performance in 3:10 to Yuma was the real deal. I think we may be looking at a great actor on the verge of stardom. Danny Huston, who plays the lead vampire Marlow, contained an amazingly eerie and chaotic emptiness just enough to keep a layer of vulnerability to his host exterior, which was probably a nice businessman out of Anchorage. He is a great villain.

The real winner in 30 Days of Night though is the village of Barrow and its tundra setting. It represents the northern most settlement in the United States but from what I hear the town wasn’t portrayed accurately, nor was the film shot on location. That’s somewhat forgivable because as it turns out 30 Days of Night has a very unique feel and it is a nice looking production overall, especially compared to most horror films. The sound effects and music were great and some of the aerial shots that Slade creates are unforgettable. It’s like Near Dark meets John Carpenter’s The Thing, but I would wager a guess and say that Slade is not a hardcore horror movie buff and despite the aforementioned comparison his film is unique for the genre. The genre in general is way too derivative and most horror filmmakers are far too celebratory of their peers. It’s like a clubhouse sometimes and the regurgitating of each other’s ideas is as expected as giving each other a secret handshake. Slade seems influenced from better films than those of this somewhat tainted genre and his movie is much better for it. He did his own thing and now horror filmmakers can steal from him.

My rating is 4 out of 5 stars.

La edicion numero 14 del  Pusan International Film Festival abrio sus puertas el dia de ayer … una mezcla de glamour y talento que durara hasta el 16 de Octubre que no nos podemos perder!

En el festival se podran ver 355  películas de 70 países  y eso coloca a este como el festival mas importante y valorado de Corea.

A la ceremonia de apertura se han acercado estrellas internacionales como el caso de Josh Harnett(Pearl Harbor) y muchas nacionales como  Kang Ji Hwan, Lee Ha Na, Han Ye Seul,Ha Ji Won, Min Hyo Rin, Han Chae Young, Yoon Kye Sang ,Jang Dong Gun, Seo Woo, Im Joo Hwan, Sung Yu Ri, Jang Hyuk, Lee Sun Gyun, Lee Min Ho y muchisimos mas que han engalanado  este evento!

Esto es lo que yo llamo una verdadera alfombra roja! …. y todos se ven maravillosos!

Oh my Josh!

The well-known Vietnamese-born, French director Tran Anh Hung plans to make a splash after an 8 years hiatus with the English-language movie “I Come with the Rain,” which features an all-star, muti-cultural, hot looking cast of John Harnett, Lee Byung-hun, Shawn Yue, and Takuya Kimura.

Tran Anh Hung was born in Da Nang, VietNam and left the country when he was 12.  In 1993, his movie “Scent of the Green Papaya/Mui Du Du Xanh” was nominated for an Oscar.  He soon followed with “Cyclo/Xich Lo” which features Tony Leung, which also won a top prize at the Venice Film Festival.  Finally, before the hiatus, he directed what considered to be the third of his Vietnam trilogy “The Vertical Ray of the Sun/Mua He Chieu Thang“.  “I Come with the Rain,” besides featuring nearly all A-listers, will also feature his wife, Tran Nu Yen Khe who is present in every single one of his work so far.

The movie is about an ex-Los Angles cop Kline (Harnett) who travels to Hong Kong looking for a missing son of a Chinese billionaire named Shitao (Kimura).  Kline collaborated with a local cop (Yue) and it leads him to the gangster Dongpo (Lee) and his wife (Tran).  The movie was scheduled to release in 2008, but it seems that it has been pushed back to 2009.

If you are an Asian drama addict, the mostly Asian cast should be fairly recognizable.

Cast:

Tran Nu Yen Khe is present in all her husband’s work.  And it happens that I own all three DVDs directed by Tran Anh Hung.  She has the charm of a typical Vietnamese woman and a simplistic,quiet beauty.  I first saw her in “The Scent of the Green Papaya/Mui Du Du” where she hardly spoke at all, well actually there was little to no dialogue in that movie but it was beautifully filmed and great storyline.  Who knew so much can be said with so little being said.  Even though “Cyclo/Xich Lo” won several awards and it starred the talented Tony Leung, I really didn’t neither enjoy it nor Tran Anh Hung’s last work “Vertical Ray of the Sun.”  I have to say he has great cinematography and lighting technique and obviously there is more to his movies than I can ever understand, but I am definitely looking forward to this one just because of all the beautiful men being featured.

Josh Harnett is Hollywood’s award winning actor, most memorable for roles in Blockbuster hits such as “Lucky Number Sleven”, “Pearl Harbor”, “Sin City”, etc. The man’s clearly a great actor.

Takuya Kimura started out with Japanese dramas.  I loved and adored him since his role in the drama “Love Generations.”  He also starred in the “Long Vacation,” a drama classic.  I always knew he had looks and talent.  His first feature was in “2046″ in 2005 with Tony Leung.  ”I Come with the Rain” will be his first English-language movie.  LOVE HIM!

Lee Byung Hun, another drama God, who starred in the series “All In,” another drama classic.

Shawn Yue, a Hong Kong singer turned actor branded as the next Nicholas Tse.  He has been in many movies like “Initial D” with Jay Chou and “Infernal Affairs III.”  Somewhere in my old PC is still is first music video and CD. Just gorgeously bad-ass looking.

30 giorni di buio di David Slade (Nuova Zelanda/USA 2007)

Tratto dallo splendido fumetto di Ben Templesmith e prodotto da Sam Raimi. Trenta giorni di buio è un dignitoso film horror sui vampiri che deve molto del suo fascino ad un’idea originale. Ovvero, cosa succederebbe se un gruppo di vampiri attaccasse una piccola cittadina dell’alaska semi-isolata dalla neve e dal freddo e immersa, una volta l’anno, in una buia notte lunga trenta giorni. Una cornice perfetta per un discreto e originale horror movie. La progressione degli eventi è veloce e intrigante, i primi segni dell’arrivo, piccoli eventi che chiudono la rete attorno alle prede, isolandoli del tutto dal resto del mondo, poi l’attacco, la mattanza iniziale (con una spettacolare carrellata orizzontale dall’alto sul paese, mentre sotto si spara, si fugge, si grida e si squarta). Poi comincia la caccia meticolosa dei sopravvissuti, degli umani che si sono nascosti. Poi ancora la fuga, le uccisioni che decimano il gruppetto di sopravvissuti, l’inevitabile duello ed uno struggente sacrificio finale.
Il protagonista, lo sceriffo Eben, è interpretato dal prestante Josh Harnett. Attore che non è neppure particolarmente fastidioso, sempre che si riesca a farsene una ragione della sua irritante abitudine di socchiudere continuamente gli occhi in una specie di smorfia felice, come se fosse miope o accecato da strane luci che vede solo lui nella sua testa,
Notevole la scelta del resto del cast. La protagonista femminile non è la solita modella esageratamente bella che finge che sia perfettamente usuale trovare delle top model in un paesino sperduto dell’alaska e con meno di 200 abitanti. Il ruolo dell’ex-fidanzata dello sceriffo è infatti interpretato da Melissa George. Attrice attraente ma con un naso suino di non più di 2 centrimetri. Come se avesse passato l’infanzia con la faccia spremuta contro il davanzale per poter guardare fuori dalla finestra.
Davvero splendidi invece trucco e caratterizzazione dei vampiri: atletici, con visi allungati, con occhi dal taglio orientale, con bocche enormi piene di denti aguzzi come squali e vestiti con una accennata eleganza cittadina di 20/30 anni fa. Un indovinato contrasto con l’ambientazione quasi polare della cittadina. Davvero originali e inquietanti.
Ok, rimane comunque un film horror di serie B con qualche ambizione. Ma l’insieme è ben amalgamato. L’ambientazione è originale e affascinante, la fotografia elegante, i vampiri davvero notevoli. Certo c’è qualche caduta di ritmo nel secondo tempo, qualche forzatura della trama qui e là. Ma il film nel complesso è godibile ed interessante.

La actriz Natalie Portman, preocupantemente desaparecida de la primera línea de combate desde hace un tiempo, podría volver a la brecha con Thor. El director Kenneth Branagh, ajeno a los cambios de fecha de su película, sigue comprometido en la búsqueda de un reparto consistente, y la israelí sería su próximo objetivo. Tal y como señalaban otros rumores, Alexandar Skarsgard sería el dios nórdico y Josh Harnett su némesis Loki. ¿Pero quién sería Portman? ¿Acaso Sif, la aguerrida esposa de Thor? Todo apunta a que la actriz daría vida a Jane Foster, la novia de Donald Blake, el alter ego humano de Thor. Como véis todo siguen siendo castillos en el Valhalla.

Interesantes rumores apuntan a que el director Kenneth Branagh ya habría elegido al actor que interpretará a Thor en la adaptación que prepara del personaje Marvel. Se trataría de Alexander Skarsgaard, hijo del también actor Stellan Skarsgaard. Alexander no es tan solo un buen intérprete -como demostró en Generation Kill o True Blood- sino que además encaja perfectamente con el físico que se le supone al dios nórdico, tal y como atestigua su 1,93 de altura y su voz profunda. Por otra parte se comenta que Josh Harnett -otro actor de estatura- tendría todas las papeletas para interpretar a Loki, el eterno rival de Thor. Para dar base a estos rumores se apunta a que Branagh ya se ha reunido con ambos en sendas comidas de trabajo para ultimar detalles sobre la producción, que se estrena en verano de 2.010.

3615 ma life est de retour.

Alors qu’est ce que j’ai encore ramener aujourd’hui ? Et bien j’ai un peu de fantastique et un peu de science-fiction.

Mon premier dvd est simplement un petit film qui à bercer mon enfance ainsi que la jeunesse ou l’adolescence de certain d’entre vous. Si je vousdit “Produit par Spielberg et réaliser par joe Dante” vous avez devinez? Si c’est non ben découvrez la réponce dans cette vidéo

pfff aux sales noobs qui n’ont pas trouver ![ EDIT:en plus c'est écrit sur la vidéo donc celui qui trouve pas mérite vraiment le suplice de la Chaise de Judas]

Le second film que je vous présente est The Faculty ( on va pas faire encore un petit jeu sinon ils y en a qui vont nous faire un anévrisme avant la fin de l’article).

C’est un film fantastique assez sympa qui a été réalisé par Robert Rodriguez et qui a aussi la particularité d’avoir un casting composé pratiquement que d’ inconnues ou de second rôles mais qui se sont fait connaitre maintenant. Jugez plutot : Josh Harnett ( tien petit hors sujet, je viens de louer 30 jours de nuits et si je le sent bien pit’être que je ferais une critique), Jorhana brewster ( fast and furious 4), Famke Janssen ( la trilogie X-Men), Salma Hayek, Robert Patrick ( le célebre T1000) et Frodon..euh…Elijah Wood.

Dans la catégorie gros blockbuster de science-fiction d’anticipation je voudrais le nav…euh…le cadet! Tadaaaaaaaaaa! Voicle piti dernier de la trilogie Matrix, Matrix Révolution. oui je sais ce n’est pas le meilleur mais je l’ai surtout choisi pour ses bonus, attend une édition double dvd à 3 €uros je ne vais pas cracher dessus…ou alors un autre fluide corporel autre que ma salive.

Et pour finir mon choix c’est porter sur la série SF événement…BattleStar Galactica, cela fait quelque temps que j’en entend parler en bien et, sauf erreur de ma part, je suis tombe sur ce qui me semblait être le début de la série ( c’est maqué 2h55 environ ce qui me semble trop peu pour n’être que le premier épisode).

Harrison Ford lends his solid, perpetually disgruntled presence to Hollywood Homicide, an action comedy in which he’s paired with the squinty eyes and peaches-and-cream complexion of Josh Hartnett (Black Hawk Down, O). Radical French filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard would appreciate this complete deconstruction of the buddy-cop flick genre; basic cinematic elements (mismatched partners, a hard-ass superior riding them, arguments about who’s going to drive, arguments about intuition vs. diligent detective work, the bad cop who killed Hartnett’s father, etc.) have been scrambled and slapped together with no concern for coherence, making clear their innately artificial nature. Sex scenes and car chases come out of nowhere and disappear without consequence, providing arbitrary visual stimulus. During shootouts, it’s impossible to tell who got killed or why, underscoring a basic doubt about the purpose of making movies like Hollywood Homicide. It’s rare for a mainstream movie to be so daringly (if perhaps accidentally) avant-garde. –Bret Fetzer

This film is based on the graphic novel of the same name. Of which I read on it’s original release a few years ago. It was then when I heard the book had been optioned for a film I was taken with a mixture of anticipation and trepidation.

I thought from the moment I first read the book that the concept was fantastic and wondered how it had not been tackled before. Simple, yet effective. And I also felt it would make a great movie. Yet I still feared that this would become one in a long series of book to screen disasters. That the original source material would become subject to a brutality that would not only result in a terrible film but also cast a shadow over the book destroying it’s own credibility.

Thankfully, I feel I can say that ‘30 days of night’ does not suffer from a fate such as this. Even if my own analysis of the potential situation is a little, if not overly dramatic. The film holds up well and my initial feeling that this could be translated to the screen proved somewhat correct.

The thing that attracted me to the graphic novel in the first place was its distinct artistic style, particularly the depiction of the vampires. I was thrilled to see that the drawings that seemed unfilmable, were recreated on screen successfully. Resulting in fascinating, visceral creatures that instill a dread into both characters and audience alike.

I was pleasantly surprised when I began watching, to see the brilliant talent that is Ben Foster in this film. I first came across Foster in the brilliant HBO series, ‘Six Feet Under‘, where his great performances as Russell made him stand out as one to watch. If you have seen ‘3:10 to Yuma’ you will know what I mean when talking about his talent. His great acting skill results in a performance that stands out above the rest of the cast in ‘30 Days of Night’. I only wish his character of ‘The Stranger’ played a bigger part in the film. I hope that if the new Batman series continues into future movies, that Foster plays a part as one of the villains, as he plays evil with such perfection.

My enthusiasm for Foster cannot translate over to the leading man, Josh Hartnett. When I heard that he was playing the leading role, that was when the fear for this project began. I have never been a fan of Hartnett’s, I find most of his performances rather wooden, not as wooden as Keanu Reeves, but as though the wood has been soaked for a few days prior to being bent into shape. However, I tried not to let his presence on screen sway my judgement against the film, and tried to watch as if I’d never seen nor heard of him before. And to be fair, he is fine in this. He provides an adequate performance, that doesn’t detract from the piece, but he isn’t going to change my opinion of him any time soon.

The director’s name did not ring any bells with me as it appeared on screen. But when I checked online for information on David Slade, I was thrilled to see that he was the director of Hard Candy (2005). A small film which resulted in my first experience of Ellen Page, the fantastic young actress nominated for an Oscar in her role in Juno (2007), and a film I remember enjoying very much (I’ll likely write a review of Hard Candy and Juno sometime in the near future). With Hard Candy being a small, slow paced, Drama/Thriller, it seemed like quite a shift to go onto direct this film, with with its action and gore. Yet he has switched genre’s relatively well.

I feel as though I am praising this film at every corner, however, it does have its problems. Mainly caused by its story. Although Steve Niles, who created the series of books along with Ben Templesmith, co-wrote the screenplay, It still deviated away from the original story. It deviated only slightly but the books (to my memory), generated more depth in the vampire characters that the film did. The most notable change from the book, was the ending, which generated a much more interesting situation for the vampire side of the story.

With a graphic novel, surely the best way to shoot a film of the story, is to use the novel as a storyboard. Granted a graphic novel of a larger size would not be easily made into a film following every panel, but the 30 Days of Night book is relatively small and could easily translated to the screen much more faithfully.

Anyway, I feel I’ve hit a tangent. Despite its slight deviation from the source material, and the presence of Josh Hartnett, I enjoyed ‘30 Days Of Night’. It won’t scare a seasoned horror film watcher, but there are a few decent jumps in the film that do the job asked of them. I’d happily recommend anyone to give it a watch, if only for the great performance from Foster as the creepy Stranger, though the film does have more to it than that. I think I’m starting to go in circles now, so thats it, if you are stuck for something to watch and this is available, you can’t go wrong with giving it a watch.

Bunraku (文楽) sebenarnya adalah sandiwara boneka tradisional Jepang yang merupakan salah satu jenis ningyo johruri (人形浄瑠璃). Istilah bunraku khususnya digunakan untuk ninyo johruri (sandiwara boneka dengan pengiring musik johruri) yang berkembang di Osaka. Jōruri atau ditulis sebagai johruri merupakan sebutan untuk naskah dalam bentuk nyanyian. Penyanyi johruri disebut tayū, dan menyanyi dengan iringan musik shamisen.

Kesenian ini bermula dari pementasan ningyo johruri oleh seniman Uemura Bunrakuken I di Osaka sehingga diberi nama “bunraku”. Sebelumnya, kesenian ini juga disebut ayatsuri jōruri shibai (sandiwara johruri ayatsuri), dan baru secara resmi dinamakan bunraku sejak akhir zaman Meiji (1868-1912).[1]

Sebuah boneka dimainkan oleh tiga orang dalang yang disebut ningyō tsukai. Sewaktu memainkan boneka, dalang tidak menyembunyikan diri dari pandangan penonton. Gerak-gerik boneka dibuat bagaikan hidup, dengan kedua tangan dan kaki yang bisa digerak-gerakkan, serta wajah boneka yang bisa berubah ekspresi sesuai karakter yang dimainkan. Boneka memiliki mekanisme penggerak pada wajah (mata dan mulut), dan sendi-sendi kedua belah lengan, kaki, dan jari-jari tangan yang bisa digerak-gerakkan. Dalang hanya bertugas menggerakkan boneka, sedangkan semua dialog yang diucapkan boneka menjadi tugas ‘tayū’ dengan iringan musik shamisen.

Sedangkan arti Bunraku yang kedua (Terutama bagi Dears-nya Gackt)
adalah nama film Gackt (yang ketiga setelah ia berperan sebagi Kenshin Uesugi dalam Fu-rin-kan-zan) untuk tahun 2009 yang sedang syuting di Hollywood. Ini adalah langkah Gackt untuk maju menapak dunia perfilman Internasional. Perlu digarisbawahi disini, kalau lawan main Gackt adalah Josh Harnett (yup, the real Josh Harnett **).

Four years ago, I left home for college … and swore I’d never be back.  Then I discovered how much — or, rather, how little — the entry-level salary for my chosen field was.

My determination to never return had nothing to do with my family and everything to do with the general boredom of living in the Philly burbs.  But an offer for my dream job … located half an hour away from my mom’s house, coupled with less-than-dreamy compensation and a slew of student loans conspired to send me back to sleep under posters of now washed-up teenage heartthrobs.

None of which has stopped me from scouring Craigslist for a return to independence, and today, since it appeared as the first section of the newspaper, I flipped through the Inquirer’s real estate section as well.  And I want to know how.  How does your typical graduate pay $500 to $1000 a month (plus utilities) for an apartment on an entry-level salary, while juggling health and car insurance, $4+ gas, a cell phone bill, an average of $20,000 in loans, and, you know, the occasional meal.  What do you do if you’re hired somewhere that necessitates actually paying rent?

And how do I handle a return to the land of Strip Malls, Banks, and Bad High School memories?  Aside from taking that Josh Harnett poster down …

Hoje pela manhã, meio sonolenta, dois colegas de trabalho me pedem para eu reconhecer o David Bowie numa foto porque eles não sabiam quem exatamente ele era!!! WHAAATTT???? Como assim eles não sabiam quem era David Bowie?????????? Acordei instantaneamente!!!! Quase os arremessei pela janela (brincadeirinha)!

Pois bem, David Bowie além de músico é ator!! A primeira coisa que me veio na cabeça foi “Nikola Tesla”, papel que David interpreta no “The Prestige” (O Grande Truque, 2006). Filmaaaço! Eu sei que é um filme de 2006, já passou no cinema, já saiu em DVD, já passou milhares de vezes na tv a cabo, blá blá blá… mas não me canso de assistir! Sou doente por este filme! Recomendo demais! A direção é de Christopher Nolan, de Batman Begins e do tão esperado novo filme da série (The Dark Night).

Então.. quando alguém fala em David Bowie, em vez de lembrar dele cantando com aqueles cabelos coloridos e roupas excêntricas, eu vejo “O Grande Truque” na minha frente!! Não adianta, é mais forte que eu!! A última participação de David nas telonas foi um pequeno papel no filme “August” (2007), ao lado de Josh Harnett (lindinho ele né?!). Dá uma olhada no trailer para ver se você encara ou não!!

Do you remember that Teen movie where I guy tries to go some allotted amount of time without sex? I am going to try a new spin on things. The Liz version but before you get scared and worried about what the next sentence of this blog will contain, this is the G- rated version.

I am going to see how many days I can go without Diet Coke. Now I never saw that teen movie so I am not sure how addicted him was to his “vice” but I am not that addicted to Diet Coke.

But I will confess that last week I think I drank maybe one gallon of water for the whole week which is not enough but in replacement to not drinking water I was drinking Diet Coke. (I think I drank about 4 a day last week… that is really intense) and that was the hardest week at work.

I just enjoy Diet Coke but this week I have had one each day and I have begun to realize that my work day goes much faster. I have more energy and I can focus more. Now I know that you can’t blame D.C. for those things but I am going to conduct a little experiment. See how my body reacts to no D. C.

A little Disclaimer: In college, I did not drink soda at all for an entire year. I was in the best shape of my life. I ran marathons and worked out at least 8 times a week (twice a day two of those days and one day off). Now my life consist of 30 lbs more fat on my body and only working out 2 days a week and no marathons in the near future.

So in a way of trying to see if D.C. really makes you gain weight I am getting off of it and replacing it will my addiction to water. Now this is an addiction that has stemmed from my days in college when I was frantically trying to loss weight and be a size 0. I realize that is not a dream of mine anymore but I do still have this love affair with water, I drink about 100 oz a day at least. (I pee a lot).

So anyway this is day one.
