<p>Le 21 Novembre dernier se tenait le <strong>Videogame Live 2009</strong>. Un ovni dans le paysage du jeu vidéo. Acceuillant 3 800 visiteurs (dont moi), je peux vous dire que ce fut du pur délire ! Sachez pour autant que chez nos amis ricains, plus du double de spectateurs se réunissent régulièrement pour cette grande messe musicale (11 000 à Los Angeles pour la première en 2005). Ceci étant, on peut être fiers du résultat français. L&#8217;édition 2008 avait réuni 1 500 personnes. Le <strong>Videogame Live 2009</strong> prouve une fois de plus que le concept est porteur (+150% de fréquentation). A ce rythme, il nous faudra trouver un nouvel endroit pour nous accueillir l&#8217;année prochaine, le palais des congrès étant limité à 4 200 places.</p>
<p>Sinon, les places se sont bien vendues. A une semaine de l&#8217;événement, il leur en restait 200. Du coup, elles furent bradées à 50% pour les écouler et selon le communiqué de presse, ça a plutôt bien marché. Du côté des votes, la France en avait comptabilisé 9 627 votes en 2008. Quel sera-t-il cette année ?</p>
<p>Sachez pour finir que le coût de représentation de ces événements est de 70 000€. Cette somme peut évidemment changer en fonction du lieu du concert et du pays (<em>Interv</em><em>iew Jack Wall, Magazine Officiel Nintendo</em>).</p>
<p>D&#8217;ailleurs, si on connaît maintenant le coût de la représentation, on ne connaît toujours pas ce qu&#8217;il en coûte pour être partenaire officiel. Quelqu&#8217;un a la réponse ?</p>

<p>As you can see above, there is no wiimote in that accessory steering wheel. There is, instead, a <a href="http://starlino.com/usb_gamepad.html">home-made accelerometer controller</a> that connects to the pc via USB. Based around a PIC 18F2550 and a 2 axis accelerometer, this device is detected by windows as a standard controller. The schematic and source code are available on his website. He says it can also be used as a &#8220;motion mouse&#8221;. You can see a video of that after the break.</p>
<p>When we first saw the video, we thought it might be the same person as <a href="http://hackaday.com/2009/11/19/complete-the-maze-get-a-gumball/">the accelerometer controlled maze project</a>, due to the wiimote steering wheel casing.</p>

Seltsamerweise war das Gerät seinerzeit kein Verkaufsschlager.<!--more--></p>
<p>Und dabei war die ProHance PowerMouse 100 doch so weit vorne: Für schlappe 195 Dollar (damals noch ein kleines Vermögen) konnte man sage und schreibe 38 Tasten programmieren.</p>
<p>Nun aber ist es zu spät &#8211; oder hat noch irgendwer DOS 2.0 als benötigtes Betriebssystem rumliegen? [dieter]</p>

<p>Zugegeben, die Maus sieht optisch nicht so schlimm aus wie das Konzept klingt. Ob die Zielgruppe der Office-Nutzer aber wirklich darauf anspricht, sich fröhlich Makros auf die vielen Knöpfe zu legen und die ganzen Abkürzungen zu merken, darf gepflegt bezweifelt werden. Zumal der Anbieter (mit dem bezeichnenden Namen <a href="http://warmouse.com/" target="_blank">WarMouse</a>)<br />
für die &#8220;OpenOffice Mouse&#8221; immerhin 75 Dollar ausruft.<br />
Für die vielen Makros hat es extra 512  KByte Speicher intus. [Ralf]</p>

<p>Finally, the hangover from winning the UK Games Developer of the Year award at the Golden Joysticks on Friday is lifting, albeit slowly. <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>It wouldn’t be right to celebrate this incredible, humbling achievement without expressing our sincerest thanks and appreciation to the entire Jagex community for helping make this landmark achievement a reality. We have never seen so many people simultaneously spit their champagne at each other as when Jagex was announced as the winner! It was truly a vision that will make me smile forever. =D</p>
<p>This award was indeed special as not only was there some really tough competition, but this is one of the only awards voted for by the players themselves rather than an industry “old boys&#8217; club”. This year, over 1.2 million votes were cast, ensuring a World Record in itself for the Golden Joystick Awards as the biggest ever player-voted competition, and I would like to believe that most of those votes came from you, our epically sized community, not to mention the small fact that you managed to crash their website four times with all your votes!</p>
<p>The Jagex development team have worked tirelessly over the last eight years, their only concern creating great content for our players and games that we wanted to play ourselves – all totally under the radar of the traditional games industry and press. So while it is nice to be recognised so publicly by the industry (no doubt they will all be thinking about developing online games of their own), I would like to give everyone the assurance that our focus will remain on building great games for our community, and that we’ll continue to work hard and do all we can to try to live up to this prestigious award.</p>

<p>On display at the custom built exhibition booth will be the latest in technology developments for joystick controllers, rotary, linear and tilt sensors designed for use on specialist off-highway vehicles for agricultural applications, including tractors, harvesters, crop sprayers, balers and irrigation machines.</p>

<p>Sony posted a message on their Twitter account today: &#8220;No need to import &#8211; 3D Dot Game Heroes for PS3 is DEFINITELY coming to NA! Spread the word, more to come.&#8221; 3D Dot Game Heroes has been scheduled to release in Japan this coming November, although the North American publisher is unknown at this point. </p>
<p>Sony&#8217;s Jeff Rubenstein said that the North American publisher was the source of the announcement. More info should become available on the <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/"> Playstation Blog </a> The last From Software title published in North America was Demon&#8217;s Souls by Atlus.<br />

It&#8217;s a techdemo for a space-simulation shooter like those old Tie Fighter/X-Wing games. I&#8217;ll be doing the concepts, models and game design, my partner will program the client and engine, and we&#8217;ll both work on scripting.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s on its earliest stages, I&#8217;m still finishing the design document which is fairly long so far (about 6000 words) for a techdemo. Here&#8217;s an earlier WIP for a ship I made:</p>

<p style="text-align:justify;">Bu konuda internetten araştırma yaptığımda herhangi bir Türkçe makale ile karşılaşmadığım için bende bu yazıyı yazmaya karar verdim. C# Joystick gibi harici araçların kullanımının kolay olduğunu bu yazıyı souna kadar okuduğunuzda sizde göreceksiniz.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Classımıza öncelikle birkaç değşken tanımlayarak başlayalım. Bunlardan joystick değişkeni, bizim Device türünden, diğeri ise Joystick&#8217;in durum(state) bilgilerini saklayabileceğimizJoystickState değişkeni. Diğerleri ise joystick&#8217;ieksen olark durum bilgilerini saklayan değişkenler ve joystick üzerindeki tüm butonların durumlarını saklaya boolean tipinde buttons array&#8217;i.  Son olarakta bilgisayara birden fazla bağlı olan joystick bilgisinin instance name&#8217;lerini tutabilecek bir String Array&#8217;i oluşturuyoruz.</p>

Her 20 ms&#8217;de joystick&#8217;in tüm buton durumlarını kontrol edecek ve ilgili değişkenler aracılığı ile bana bildirecek. Bende duruma göre gerekli işlemlerimi makinam üzerinde koşturacağım.</p>

<p align="justify">Живеем в свят, в който живота се движи с бясна скорост и често не ни остава време да погледнем в настоящето, а камо ли в миналото. Технологиите се развиват толкова бързо, че имам чувството, че само 13-годишните могат да се справят с темпото.<!--more--></p>
<p align="justify">Темата, до която искам да стигна, и до която реших да подходя от километри разстояние е за едно ново изобретение. Това “ново” изобретение е свещта. По-важен е обаче начина, по който е решил да я използва един Linux ентусиаст – като джойстик. Той е взел в ръце своя мини лаптоп &#8211; EEE PC 1000h и е написал игра, наречена “Светулка”. Нейната цел е да “осветявате” пътя на светулка, която е изгубила своята светлина, през пещери и пътища със запалена свещ пред дисплея на нетбука (посредством уеб камера). Човекът, написал играта (<a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/sosker">sosker</a>) описва мотивацията си по следния начин &#8211; “Идеята на играта е да покаже, че можем да използваме средновековни средства, за да контролираме една видеоигра, които струват около 35636575 пъти по-евтино от “Weemote”.</p>
