Einer meiner Mitschüler erwähnte eines Tages am Mittagstisch, dass mit einem Programm Bilder generiert werden können, wenn man jede Kombination von Pixelfarben zusammensetzt: Sei es ein Gesicht oder ein Baum oder ein Tisch, alles kann generiert werden. So liesse sich theoretisch ein Programm schreiben, mit welchem man solange zufällig Bilder generieren kann, bis etwas Schlaues herauskäme, d.h. etwas Darstellendes.
Die Theorie, man könne alle möglichen Bilder generieren und daraus die darstellenden Bilder herauslesen, wurde ziemlich schnell verworfen: Selbst bei der Annahme, dass so ein 300×200 Pixel grosses Bild eine Dateigrösse von nur einem Byte habe, kamen wir auf folgende Werte:

256 mögliche Kombinationen pro (Bitmap-)Farbkanal
256^3 = 16′777′216 mögliche Kombinationen pro (Bitmap-)Pixel
16′777′216^(300×200) = ??? mögliche Kombinationen pro (Bitmap)-Bild

(das ??? ist ein Wert mit über 100 Stellen)

In Anbetracht solcher Tatsachen kamen wir zum Schluss, dass uns mit grosser Wahrscheinlichkeit nicht genügend Speicherplatz zur Verfügung stehen würde, um solch ein Projekt durchzuführen.
Nachdem wir nach und nach die Bildergrösse und die Farbanzahl herunterschraubten, landeten wir schliesslich bei Schwarzweiss-Bildern und einer Grösse von 50×50 Pixel, doch auch da liess uns das leidige Schachfeldproblem nicht los. Wir berechneten als grösstes quadratisches Schwarzweiss-Bild, das sich auf meinem Taschenrechner (bis 9.999999999e99) noch darstellen lässt, 18×18 Pixel(3.147579257e97 Möglichkeiten).

Das ist frustrierend.

Nun gut, hier entwickelte ich meine Idee von Programmkunst: Man nehme eine Datei (wenn möglich keine Bilddatei) und stelle den Inhalt als Bild dar; hierzu wird lediglich ein Hex-Editor benötigt:

Vorbereitung

• Zieldatei auswählen
• Grösse der Zieldatei ermitteln
• Bildgrösse mittels Teiler der Zieldateigrösse bestimmen (z.B. bei 60′000 Bytes eine Bildgrösse von 300×200 Pixel)
• Mit einem Bildbearbeitungsprogramm der Wahl (MS Paint, Gimp, Photoshop, …) eine Bitmap-Grafik der gewünschten Grösse erstellen

Beachten: Es muss eine Bitmap-Datei sein, da sie unkomprimiert und folglich ganz unkompliziert ist.

Basis wechseln

• Mit einem Hex-Editor (BIEW, bvi, Emacs, …) das erstellte Bitmap öffnen
• Den Header des Bitmaps kopieren (die ersten 54 Bytes)
• Den kopierten Header vor die Bytefolge der Zieldatei einfügen (sollte die Copy-Paste-Aktion nicht möglich sein, kann man die Bytes auch abtippen, sind ja schliesslich nur 54 Bytes)
• Bild speichern
• Geniessen

Als Testobjekt musste bei mir die Windows-Version des Firefox-Crashreporters herhalten. Als Tools benutzte ich gHex und Gimp, und das Resultat sah folgendermassen aus:

Wie auf dem Screenshot vielleicht zu erkennen ist, habe ich sämtliche Nullbytes rausgelöscht, aus Angst, es könne etwas Unerwartetes passieren. Aber wie es scheint, ist die Bytefolge doch nicht relevant.

Doch was will ich damit jetzt erklären?

Dateien lassen sich als Bilder tarnen.

Angenommen, wir wollen einen Webhoster oder sonst eine Plattform nutzen, die nur Multimedia-Inhalte wie Bilder und Videos akzeptiert, um unsere (nicht-Multimedia-)Files dort zu lagern. Ein Umbenennen der Dateierweiterung wird nicht funkionieren, die Hosts fressen das Format nicht. Aber als Bilder getarnt funktioniert es. Das ist insbesondere praktisch, wenn man Dateien kostenlos ins Internet laden und verbreiten möchte.
Allerdings ist die “Datei > Bild > Internet > Bild > Datei”-Geschichte relativ umständlich und nicht für die Allgemeinanwendung empfohlen.

Nichtsdestotrotz: Vielleicht findet sich hier auf meinem Blog eines Tages ein ominöses, nichtsbedeutendes Smiley-Icon, hinter welchem sich ein Programmcode oder ein Zip-File versteckt. Und dann heisst es: OPEN SHARE!

Bei WordPress funktioniert das nicht; hier werden keine Bitmaps akzeptiert… Und Achtung: Man kann auch in ein 1×1 Pixel grosses Bild ein 5 GB-File verstecken, allerdings nur solange, bis man das File mit einem Bildbearbeitungsprogramm editiert: Da gehen die überstehenden Bytes verloren – das gilt auch für das Komprimieren eines Bitmaps (abgesehen davon macht es ohnehin keinen Sinn, den Code zu “komprimieren”, denn spätestens dann ist er nutzlos).

Ich werde mich bei Gelegenheit mal ein bisschen näher mit PNG- oder JPG-Formaten beschäftigen, um herauszufinden, ob da auch Files sinnvoll drin versteckt werden können (wird jedoch zur Zeit noch stark bezweifelt).

Hello, Happy Sunday!

I’ve just changed the layout of my wordpress page to optimize image viewability and realised that I have a plethora of broken links.  So firstly, apologies if you cannot view any sets of images at the moment, I’m currently in the process of fixing this!

I took the decision to delete my flickr page for a few reasons; mainly because of the safety of my high-res images.  Generally speaking, the internet is not a safe place to house any artwork because it’s so easy to… “borrow”.  Granted that! You hope that people use your work and say it’s by you – helping to increase exposure!

My problem with flickr was that it allowed anyone to access my high-res versions, no questions asked.  I’ve used deviantART since the beginning of my photographic career and respect that they give you the options of which sizes anyone can have access to – plus they work directly with the Creative Commons charity!

In the future, my high-res images will still be housed on my deviantART account and sets of images will be on my facebook fan page.

My website is currently in the process of being put together so, I’ll keep you updated when this is set up!

Hi everyone, welcome to my blog and thanks for looking. Here you will learn the truth about dpreview.com, well some of it anyway. I don’t have the time to point out everything that’s wrong with that site and some of the idiots in the forums there. If you think I’m making up anything here please feel free to go to dpreview and see the truth for yourself.

So, to get started about dpreview I’ll say that it is one of the biggest fanboy sites on the web. In this case, fanboys (including fangirls) are people who are in love with a certain brand or model of something and will promote and defend it way beyond what any sane person would do.

Some or all of them are probably paid by a manufacturer to be a shill (viral marketer) for their products and to attack and insult anyone who doesn’t say the absolute nicest things about that brand or model. Where dpreview comes in is that they allow and encourage the fanboys and will ban people who speak out against them.

Dpreview makes a lot of money from the manufacturers of the camera gear they review through advertising dollars and they also get free camera gear on loan from the manufacturers. Their so-called reviews are blatant examples of bias and favoritism and I’m sure it’s based on which manufacturer pays them the most or loans them the most gear. I wouldn’t be surprised if they take bribes too.

The dpreview forums are run by gangs of fanboys who viciously attack and try to silence anyone who doesn’t agree with them or blindly praise the brand or model they love and are promoting and defending, and especially Canon products, which are plagued with many inexcusable defects by the way. I think that dpreview may even pay some of the fanboys to help promote and defend certain products or to stir up controversy so that there are more hits on the forums, which generates more clicks for more advertising dollars. Either that or some (or all) of the fanboys could just be regular employees at dpreview.

Dpreview has a big monetary interest in promoting and defending brands and models so that interest in those brands and models is high and more people may go to dpreview and either click on the reviews or go to the forums. Of course people love to see a train wreck, which is just what the dpreview forums are, and the fanboys always seem to outnumber anyone who speaks realistically about brands or models and it makes it appear that the fanboys are always right.

The fanboys work hard to silence anyone who doesn’t agree that their beloved brand or model is the very best and dpreview will ban people who don’t submit and agree. dpreview also selectively deletes posts that reveal the truth about fanboys and camera gear.

If you go to the dpreview forums take a good look at how the fanboys argue endlessly that their beloved brand or model is perfect and way better than all other brands or models and they will use the most inane and nitpicky things to bolster their maniacal, idiotic claims. Fan comes from the word fanatic and it certainly applies to some of the people on dpreview, and especially in the Canon DSLR and lens forums.

If anyone says anything negative about a Canon product, even when it’s true, they are attacked as though they deliberately insulted the fanboy’s mother or kids. I think some of those fanboys value their cameras or lenses more than their mother or kids and that at least some of them sleep with their cameras or lenses and I really don’t mean sleep.

Fanboys must have very low self esteem to depend on owning or lusting after a camera or lens to make themselves feel like they’re important. Some of those people virtually live on forums, promoting and defending their beloved brand or model and rarely if ever take any pictures. They think that just owning or lusting after a certain brand or model will automatically make them a great and world renowned photographer.

If or when they actually do post pictures, the pictures are almost always junk, or mediocre at best. Many of them go on and on about how perfect and awesome a certain brand or model is but the next day they’re often asking which lens they should buy or which settings they should use for their vacation in Disneyland. Anyone who doesn’t know which lens or settings to use for certain things isn’t in a position to promote or defend any brand or model.

The dpreview forums are full of wannabe photographers whose self esteem is based on being in a brand or model cult. They have the cult, mob, gang mentality and dpreview encourages it by letting them stay and banning people who speak out about it.

dpreview is a joke, and I’m apparently not the only one who is figuring that out. Amazon bought dpreview in May, 2007. At that time dpreview had over 7 million unique visitors per month. Last month (OCT. 2009) they only had about 1.3 million even though new, popular cameras (to fanboys) were announced or released, which usually generates more hits on any camera review website. dpreview deliberately lies on their site and they still say that they get 7 million unique visitors every month.

They say: “These days the site is one of, if not the, premium digital photography site with an audience of seven million unique visitors a month..”

It won’t surprise me if dpreview or Amazon do everything they can to get this blog removed. If it disappears, you’ll know why, and if it does I’ll just start it somewhere else on the web.

Using Imagemagick it is easy, just do: convert *.jpg output.pdf

The problem is that my scanned files and using version 6.5.1 of Imagemagick on Kubuntu just gives me a Segmentation Fault error, and no valid pdf.

Well at least this way it works: convert *.jpeg -compress Zip output.pdf

ein fast weisses Bild mit ein paar grauen Schneeflocken:

Optimiert usw.. als png 6mal so gross wie als jpg.
Und bei anderen motiven ists genau andersrum.
Fazit: Probieren statt immer png nehmen

Fiilistelin keikkatunnelmia kaivelemalla vanhoja kuvia, ja joukosta löytyi oikein mainio otos '80-luvun alkupuolelta, jolloin itsekin olin aktiivisesti mukana ankarassa musa-pisneksessä. Kuvassa coveroin silloisen orkesterin Betray through the Eld of the Crueltyn kanssa Rainbow'n Stargazeria ja hätistelen innokkaimpia faneja kauemmaksi. Samoihin aikoihin tuli vaikutettua myös pumpuissa kuten Pestilential Assault, Weeping Goat, Bewitched Tomb, Sink the Demonical Truth of the Immortals ja Tread through the Crystals of the Dance. Oli ne hurjia aikoja.

alegi o poza care iti place, click drept pe ea, save as in computerul tau
Apoi te duci in panoul de control, la UTILIZATORI, alegi PROFILUL TAU, iar in profilul tau este GRAVATARUL-simbolul tau.
click, CHANGE YOUR GRAVATAR si urmeaza instructiuniile.
daca poza s-a schimbat, dar iti arata linga posturi poza veche,  trebuie sa intri pe TOOLS in bara, Delete browsing history, Delete cookies si gravatarul trebuie sa se schimbe( toate info le-am gasit  dupa ce am data click pe poza de la gravatar , in dreapta sus este *help*. io di grafica non capisco un cazzo, per me è un hobby, ma qui che c’è gente che se mpara a fa no sfondo trasparente, ce disegna na palla sopra e pretende che sia un’icona trasparente con tanto di licenza creative commons (che sarebbe quella cosa che tu puoi usare una cosa di Coso ma devi citare che ne è Coso l’autore). ok.

allora sapete che c’è? ecco un set di tre icone trasparenti multi purpose per voi, sotto licenza creative commons, ovvero se le volete usare dovete citare la paternità dell’OPERA! a me! a me! guai a voi altrimenti.
