Here Comes A New Challenger . . .  Super Street Fighter IV . . . en pocas palabras CAPCOM tratara por todos los medios que su juego sea comprado OTRA VEZ. Estos nuevos “viejos” personajes se agregan para complementar a los existentes . . . aunque los verdaderos fans, sabemos que aun hay algunos cabos sueltos.

En fin, solo espero que cuando se lance este titulo, no nos vengan a decir que al siguiente año saldra . . . Here Comes A New Challenger again . . . Super Street Fighter Alpha IV.

Como já postei na parte de notícias do blog a algum tempo atrás. A Capcom está produzindo uma nova versão de seu novo game da franquia Street Fighter.

Super Street Fighter IV trata-se de uma atualização de  Street Fighter IV, contendo novos personagens, equilibrando alguns personagens já existentes, adicionando novos cenários, modos de jogo e  personagens, além de marcar o retorno dos “bonus stages”.

Entre os novos personagens temos a dupla Guy e Cody , herois do antigão Final Fight e que também já apareceram na série Street Fighter Zero.  Além  deles temos Adon, discípulo de Sagat, também presente em Street Fighter Zero. Já com presença confirmada estão o grande índio mexicano T. Hawk, o sorridente kickboxer jamaicano Dee Jay e a estreante Juri.

Eu particularmente gostei da adição de Guy e Cody, pois eram bons de jogar em SF Zero, além de serem personagens legais. A Juri também parece ser uma boa personagem, enquanto acho Adon dispensável, pois com certeza haviam personagens mais interessantes e com mais carisma para serem aproveitados.

SSF IV chega as lojas no primeiro semestre de 2010 e será lançado para Playstation 3 e Xbox 360.

Rolam boatos inclusive no forum shoryuken.com que ainda entrariam no game Dudley, Makoto e Ibuki de Street Fighter III e mais 2 novos personagens. É esperar pra ver…

Y bueno, sé que de vez en cuando tenemos el tag de videojuegos y sólo lo hemos usado en situaciones muy especiales. Pues así como lo pusimos poco más de un año, finalmente sacó esta semana en la revista de Fumitsu, la mega noticia que ya todo mundo andaba esperando:Super Street Fighter IV revela sus siguientes 3 nuevos peleadores.

Primero que nada debo agregar que finalmente les están mostrando cariño a los que jugaron la serie “Alpha/Zero” de Street fighter. Da gusto anunciar de que Cody estará de vuelta soltando cuchillazos en su traje de prisionero con la misma actitud que le han puesto desde la alpha 3, luego, con Guy todos los fans han dado el brinco de alegría porque por lo que se vio en el video, los combos de este título estarán presentes con el detalle de que la parte final tendrá que usarse un poder EX. Nada de que preocuparse. Por cierto, la música entra de una manera bien nostálgica pero con un ritmo tecno bien ameno.

Y para aquellos que odiamos a Sagat, no hubo nada mejor que el anuncio de que Adon estará también en esta nueva versión. Uno de los detalles que noté es que tiene la propiedad de seguir con una ejecución de un poder después del golpe fuerte aunque haya puesto defensa el enemigo, esto, muy al estilo de Viper que hace su patada de fuego aunque el enemigo haya puesto defensa después de bloquear una patada fuerte.

Luego en el video muestran a los que se habían revelado hace un par de meses: T.Hawk, Dee Jay y la nueva Juri. Esta última tiene el ultra bien padre: Con su ojo obtenido por la tecnología de Sin, esta taekwondonista disfruta diciendo al final a su enemigo “eso se sintió bien no?”.

Sin lugar a dudas, uno de los mejores anuncios de la semana para los que disfrutan de los juegos de pelea.

Why the sly devils! Capcom really have become the hype masters with its drip-feeding of screenshots and information for forthcoming revamp Super Street Fighter IV. We already know that the updated game will include new fighters Juri, T.Hawk and Dee Jay, as well as a return of bonus rounds and the addition of two new ultra combos per character.

But what’s this? The latest tantalising screenshot shows Chun-Li being hammered by a focus attack on an all-new stage. Who does the stage belong to? Who is she fighting against? What does the statue of  a wrestler in the background signify?

If I was being sensational, I’d hazard a guess that this is the stage of R.Mika, the lady-wrestler from Street Fighter Alpha 3. Like Zangief, she’s Russian and in Alpha 3 she fights in a construction yard so this could be a valid guess.

Or, this could just be a new stage for Zangief, which is less newsworthy and less exciting.

A while back I posted some news on the development of SSFIV and of course took the chance to show my fanboy side and excitement at a “new” SF game. We have already been introduced to new challenger Juri and the return of T-Hawk and Dee Jay. This time the crew at Kotaku have shared image scans of some other returning characters. It’s time to welcome back Cody,Guy and one of my favorites, Adon.  As you can see in the pictures, Cody still has his Alpha 3 gear which confuses me a bit in relation to the overall story line, but I’ll look past that fact just to play more Street Fighter. Enjoy!

I’ve never been a big fan of the larger characters in Street Fighter, preferring slighter contenders such as Cammy or Fei Long. With the announcement of Super Street Fighter IV came the outing of new girl Juri who looks as if she’ll be another character that I’d add to my list of favourites. Unfortunately the video above (from N4G), as cool as it is, does show her getting her butt kicked but returning goliath T. Hawk. Though the scrumptious visuals and excitement it brings more than makes up for the beating – for us anyway.

My money’s actually on the car

Street Fighter IV is the first of only two games I have ever awarded top marks since I started this whole game journalism gig. So imagine my excitement when the superb team at VG247 reported on a new batch of tasty screenshots for Super Street Fighter IV.

In true Capcom fashion, the ‘Super’ moniker spells a slew of new features; adding more characters, replay modes, ultra combos and a general tune-up of the entire combat system to balance it even closer to perfection. Although the prospect of adding Final Fight/Street Fighter Alpha character Guy to the roster (go on Capcom, make my day!) makes me very happy, a welcome return of the barrel and car-smashing bonus rounds from Street Fighter II will be just fine for the time being.

Watch the new additions Cody, Guy, Adon, Juri, Dee Jay and T. Hawk as they tear up the ring in Capcom’s upcoming revamp of Street Fighter IV called Super Street Fighter IV. Watch:

Capcom have been very secretive about who will be added to Street Fighter IV’s roster in order to rename the game Super Street Fighter IV but leaks have been dripping from so many places, they might as well just reveal all. Adon, Cody and Guy made appearances in Famitsu recently and following that news comes the latest official trailer showing all the new fighters plus the veterans in action. Capcom have chosen to dress Cody in his prison attire from Street Fighter Alpha complete with chained handcuffs. However, the video shows they’re mainly for decoration seeing as he’s still able to beat the crap out of his opponents! The voice acting features as a reminder of how cheesy fighting games can be with T. Hawk being badly cast and Juri sounding like a spoilt cheerleader. No matter, Super Street Fighter IV looks to improve on the best bits from the previous game even if the characters sound rather foolish – and more are still yet to be revealed!

They just confirmed 3 more characters in Super Street Fighter IV and I gotta be honest, although these characters don’t really appeal to me (I only had some experience with them in Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max) I’m loving their designs:

But honestly? The following video just seals the deal. This game is going to be so much more than just a re-release of Street Fighter IV. I think this is going to be WELL worth whatever they ask for, as long as the max is the cost of a normal game:

I’ve heard through the grape vine that it’s going to be around $40, which again, is AMAZING for the stuff they are doing. New stories, new ultras for old characters, new characters, new online modes… wow.

I’m starting to get hype for this game, pretty hard.

Supposedly, through the grape vine again, there is going to be a new game mechanic, along the lines of the focus attack (sort of like Juri’s counter move, I’ve heard) but things can obviously change, as Abel’s Super and Ultra did, as can be sort of seen here:

But either way, the stuff they have up is looking good, and I’m really excited for this. I’m not onboard with the new announcer buuuut, can’t have everything we want now can we?
