Marky, Slash, Levy, Reamy, Nelty, Kelso and Zytor finally reach the boundary between the Malloy Desert and Mortere Prairie. They watch was Reamy instructs Nelty to scoop away some of the sand at his feet, allowing the water from the Boundary River to rise up and fill the hole. In awe they observe how the water appears to flow right through the sand.

As it is now 12:45 in the morning I must bid you good night!

After emerging from the Jungle of Hyden, the seven travelers set off across the white sands of the Malloy Desert in search of the Boundary River. As they wonder along their way Marky, Slash & Levy begin to wonder how they will cross it with no bridge. It is then that Reamy tells of how years ago, the fine sands of the desert blow into the river, covering it over.

Rather than damning off the water, the sands, being so fine, allowed the water to flow right through it just underneath the surface. The group is left puzzled as they look for the hidden Boundary River under the Malloy Desert…

The humid jungle has all sweating feverishly through the heat of the day, but with the scent of the desert sands reaching Marky’s well-trained nose, the entire group is energized at the thought of their progress…

Quaker is told by Raygard that until the third phase of resurrection is complete, they cannot attack the Palace of the Collective Council. Raygard explains that the last phases is completed by the rare Stone of Lydia which will allow the Rockmites to leave the tomb without falling succumb to death yet again.

After hearing a Mirrormite solder talking with Captain Crig, QUaker hears the location of the stone and orders the solder to retrieve it. With the agreement of Captain Crig the solder agrees to the task with two other solders. As they are leaving however, Captain Crig, who had been drawn into question by his own army over his willingness to see the dangerous situation before them, quietly ordered his men to retrieve the stone and return, only not to give the stone to Quaker, feeling that this might be their only leverage at retaining control of the Rockmites…

After a near altercation between the Mirrormites and the Rockmites is avoided, Quaker begins to lay out the plan of attack for Raygard, the leader of the Rockmites. Not used to being told what to do Raygard does not warm to the idea but does agree, for now, an attack on the Palace of the Collective Council is the smartest route to domination.

Captain Crig is sensing he has been downgraded in the sense of being needed and studies the Rockmites and Raygard, clearly feeling that this alliance is doomed to a short lifespan.

He also feels that Quaker is so obsessed with the power before him he cannot see the danger he is treading so close to. Being outnumbered, Crig orders his solders to stand ready, but ready only, as he sends on solder back to the surface for reinforcements.

As Quaker turns the Skeleton Key, he raises the ancient civilization known as the Rockmites. It is also imminent that a battle will ensue between them and the Mirrormite Army. However just as combat is imminent, the Rockmite leader and Captain Crig both halt their forces. It is then that Quaker reveals that it was he who brought the long dead Rockmites back to life…

I must apologize, but with so much personally happening in my personal life right now, I have put the series on hold, baring a positive response from an agent, for the moment. As a writer I cannot focus at this moment. I have been living out of my car for now, the start of the third month. In a very good way, I find myself tweaking many things along the way, heck I wrote it 8 years ago and have written almost 800 pages since. I hope the agents like it, I have my fingers crossed on one.

After 25 pages I cannot stay awake and I must be awake for this procedure! I cannot simply redo it tomorrow, this is the redo, the book needs to go out by next week! Though it is go, go, go, I know these ladies will love the series!!!

Well, after pretty simple flights from Indy to Philly to New Haven, I got to the Tweed airport around six o’clock and was picked up by the, ever so polite, Author Patty Cavelarie. She drove me to the hotel where I had two nights around the conference. The morning started off with a great speech from best-selling Author Eloisa James followed by three well-informed workshops covering several aspects of the industry. As for Marky, Slash & Levy’s three agent pitches, the first one (ok, I’m not naming names) tanked, heck you can’t get em’ all. The second, went off really well, the agent opened her case, handed me her business card and asked for the first fifty pages, how cool! Totally erasing the first pitch, the trip was already worth it.

The third (and final) pitch went off without a single glitch. The agent absolutely loved the pitch! We talked about the entire series. The feeling I took away from that rapore was outstanding! I went in to pitch Book One: THE ADVENTURES OF MARKY, SLASH & LEVY and went into Book Two: THE RETURN OF MARKY, SLASH & LEVY, Book Three: MARKY, SLASH & LEVY Vs. THE DOOMSDAY DEVICE and the near completed Book Four: MARKY, SLASH & LEVY AND THE SEARCH FOR THE HEATSEEKER.

The nice woman filled an entire notebook page with info about M,S&L!! Now it is time to get Book One a run through and line by line go over before sending it to the agency.

To complete a wonderful weekend, I started off by meeting my old school friend, Magician Daniel Lusk, who owns Lusk entertainment group out of INDY. I had a great time and plan to visit him again soon!

To top it off, I had the encounter to sit next to a man about my age named Will Haywood from CRASH COVERAGE PRODUCTIONS. Plan on keeping in touch.

Now just waiting for the flight back to Illinois, should be there about one tomorrow morning, fun fun!`
