Peste 12.000 de deţinuţi din toată ţara şi-au putut exprima opţiunile politice, ieri, în spatele gratiilor. Printre primii care şi-au exercitat dreptul de vot au fost Carmen Bejan şi Sergiu Florea, cei doi studenţi ai Facultăţii de Medicină din Timişoara acuzaţi că l-au omorât şi tranşat pe bulibaşa Trifu Schrott. Tinerii, aflaţi în arestul Inspectoratului Judeţean de Poliţie Timiş, au votat la prima oră, prin intermediul urnei mobile.

Fostul luptător K1 Anatolie “Tolea” Ciumac a refuzat să îşi exercite acest drept. Printre deţinuţii celebri care nu au putut alege preşedintele, întrucât nu au drept de vot, se numără fraţii Nuţu şi Sile Cămătaru, fostul general Victor Stănculescu şi Ioana Maria Vlas.

I’m going to post some random Thai boxing and K1 style matches that I filmed from Austria.  These matches have no real significance to me, I just filmed them to further my education and also my students’ education.  Observe the pace and footwork.  Pretty good stuff.  Enjoy!  Jd

Jag skall inte ödsla alltför mycket utrymme åt gårdagens kampsportskväll på Hovet i Stockholm (Rumble of the Kings) för ni såg väl den allihop, men jag vill ändå poängtera hur sjukt häftigt det är att svensk Fightsport har fått ett sådant massivt uppsving. Intresset är verkligen stort, och att man får detta serverat gratis via “burken” (TV4 sport), är helt fantastiskt! För oss boxningsdiggare var det naturligtvis väldigt intressant att se de f.d. OS-medaljörerna från 1988, 40-plussarna, George Scott och Lasse Myrberg göra upp i en K1-match, och jag kan förstå att de ställde upp på det här. Stor publik, härlig stämning, samt lite hälsosam Stockholmsrivalitet, vilken utmaning! Myrberg slogs för Märsta Alliance och Scott  representerade (VBC)Vallentuna Sport- Center . Trots ålder och kanske inte helt optimal fysisk form på “gubbarna”, det var en klar överdrift av speakern att kalla dem för pigga 20-åringar rent kroppsligt, de var dock i såpass god form som två såpass gamla krigare kan vara och de bjöd på en bra fight. Fart och fläkt blev det och båda två hade rätt så schysst teknik på sparkarna dessutom (inte som Marcus Öberg förstås – kvällens gigant) men helt OK. Jag tyckte att Lasse Myrberg var bättre i början och hade inte en varning för låga sparkar (typ 4 stycken) pajat saker och ting för honom, kunde nog han lika gärna ha vunnit fighten. Nu blev det 2-1 till George Scott efter tre ronder och det var nog helt korrekt. En eloge till bägge grabbarna. Mitt tips på förhand var att någon av dem skulle gå sönder tidigt och ge upp. Det hände lyckligtvis inte – det blev en riktig fight. Coolt värre. Man fick verkligen mersmak. Annars tyckte jag Ilir Latifis match mot japanen Mizuno var häftigast (MMA), han förlorade men gjorde en grym insats, vilken kämpe han är. Marcus Öberg var fullständigt fenomenal mot världsfightern, Gago Drago och Jörgen Kruth såklart återigen ytterst färgstark i sin match (MMA). Rickard Nordstrand vann en VM-kamp mot en kanadensare (thaiboxning) vilket inte var fy skam, skall dock lägga handskarna på hyllan efter segern så honom får vi inte se mer, lite synd. Rumble of The Kings är verkligen spännande, en fråga bara , när kommer de till Göteborg?

Bon Scarface ça reste un bon film à la base. donc l’idée leur est venue de faire pire. Toujours pire.

Ne pouvant cacher leur attrait pour jean Claude Van Damme et les petites asiats, la vraie référence improbable cinématographique du rap frinçais c’est…

Et ce grâce à une phrase toute bête qui marquera leurs esprits d’enfants à jamais.
Mais pour ça il faut résumer le film très vite.
JCVD incarne Kurt !
…Kurt… c’est déjà la loose et ça va être comme ça un peu tout le film.

Alors en gros, le mec est le frère d’un champion de box thai aux states, il est même pas champion lui même. Son reuf va en Thaïlande pour voir un peu si ils sont vraiment si fort que ça les chongs.
Autant dire que passé les premières scènes, on ne verra plus ce personnage qu’en fauteuil roulant.
Or Van Damme il aime pas trop avoir des handicapés dans sa mif (un peu douteux le message de ce film) alors il veut à son tour dérouiller le champion qui a niqué son frère. Tong Po.

(Tong Po c’est le croisement de Sagat dans Street Fighter et Karl Lagerfeld mais ça c’est déjà plus visible dans les nombreuses suites toutes géniales de cette série où il sera devenu bilingue pour mieux trafiquer de la drogue parce qu’un barbare avec deux mots de vocabulaire, même Thaïlandais, c’était pas assez marrant.)

Donc là Tong Po est encore un grand mongol en slip.
Et JCVD il peut pas le niquer comme ça.
Alors il va voir un vieux dans la montagne.
C’est ça qu’est bien en Asie du Sud Est, y a toujours des coins un peu reculés avec des vieux qui t’apprennent pleins de truc et après tu peux aller niquer le méchant.
des entraînements à base de faire la sieste sous un arbre en attendant que les noix de coco te tombent dessus, des trucs de ouf !

Et là, le ieuv, il a une nièce : Mai Li.
Et évidement y a une romance de fiottes qui naît entre JC et Mai Li
Et là ils sont tout mignon tout les deux parce qu’ils se cherchouillent, ils flirtouillent ensemble.
Bref le truc dégueulasse dont on a typiquement pas besoin dans un film de castagne.

Surtout que Tong Po c’est pas trop son truc l’amour platonique, il préfère plus tonique.
Alors il va voir Mai Li et il la viole vite fait, il a pas le temps pour ces conneries.
(D’ailleurs Mai Li aurait peut-être du lui dire “stop.”)

Et on en arrive à la scène finale fatidique, JCVD se bat contre Tong Po.
Tong Po le met par terre et dira cette phrase fatidique à JC “Tu te couches comme Mai Li.”

Tong Po rajoutera également “Mai Li bonne baise” mais ça les rappeurs l’ont moins reprise et c’est bien dommage.
Les X-Men, Bass Click, Nysay, Dry, Alain de l’Ombre (Green) et tant d’autres, ils feront références à cette phase mongole et quelque part ça prouve à quel point notre rap hexagonal est magnifique.
Seul Ol kainry qui n’a pas tout compris au film fera des punchlines sur Tong Po qui s’entraine sur le pilier.
Le mec il a retenu ça du film…

Det är på sin plats med en påminnelse om den stora kampsportsgalan på Hovet i Stockholm nu på fredag, Rumble of the Kings 2009 Stockholm. Ingen proffsboxning denna gång men en hel del välkända namn som figurerat i boxningssammanhang, bland dem, George Scott (som möter Lasse Myrberg i en K1 match), Jörgen Kruth och Jonathan Gromark. Dessutom ett par stycken riktigt bra MMA-matcher med bl.a. den hårdslående skåningen Ilir Latifi. Galan sänds live (eller åtminstone delvis live) på TV4 Sport med start klockan 20:3o. Matchprogrammet med lite uppgifter om kämparna finner ni här! Missa inte det kära läsare!

Painting and flying fire lanterns is one of our traditional activities, enjoyed by all children and teachers alike. The thin paper requires very fine strokes, children take their time writing their names and paining butterflies, hearts, and a monster or two.

It had been a windy week, delaying launch several times, but eventually we managed to release the fire lanterns on Friday. Seeing the lanterns fly is one of the most memorable experiences that the children like to recall over and over for a long time – until it is loy krathong again.

Din păcate, muzica promovată de K1 se defineşte ca fiind eurodance şi nu techno-legend, precum îşi doreşte formaţia). Dealtfel, toate piesele instrumentale reproduc sound-ul lui Axel F. şi Paul Hardcastle – de la jumătatea deceniului trecut. Multe din “hiturile” de pe această casetă (Toţi K Unu, Noaptea, K’unu, Te voi iubi mereu) aveau deja un an de când au fost lansate (sub formă de maxi-single). Unele mixaje seamănă chiar (prea mult) cu “noile” ritmuri Modern Talking (ascultă Tu şi eu). Probabil cea mai reuşită bucată este tentativa latino Cu tine. Caseta de faţă dovedea încă o dată că muzica românească se afla cu 10-15 ani în urma occidentului.

Obviamente es uno de los luchadores japoneses más carismáticos de la escena en este momento. Su es nombre Yuichiro, AKA Jienotsu, Nagashima. Como se puede observar en el video, este hombre es un reflejo de la cultura pop nipona: fiel fan a los callejones de Akihabara y apasionado lector de mangas, y no es de extrañar que gran pare de sus seguidores sean otakus. 

Estaremos muy atentos a la evolución de Yuichiro sobre el cuadrilátero, nos gusta su estilo, al menos el visual.

Det var rubriken till en artikel på Boxning.org. Jag blev lite lurad av rubriken och det blev säkert ni också. Han hade tydligen bara sparrat med Sam Rukundo. Min första tanke var att nu gör Myrberg en Foreman och gör en riktig comeback!

Det är Lasse Myrberg och Per-Åke Persson som driver boxning.org så det är intressant med lite insiderinfo om Myrbergs träning. Det går tydligen bra för Myrberg, något som även bekräftas av Rukundo. Gå in  på boxning.org och läs det hela.

Have you swabbed your cheek and submitted the little brush to a genetic genealogy testing service, then waited in anticipation for the results? I have and I recommend it to everyone interesting in learning about their “deep ancestry.”

For women, this means testing your mitochondrial DNA or mtDNA, which is passed only from mothers to their children. Both daughters and sons receive it, but only daughters pass it on to their children. This provides a way to learn about your maternal ancestors - your mother’s mother’s mother and so on.

I used the Genographic Project from National Geographic, led by geneticist Spencer Wells. There are many other choices, but we have followed Spencer Wells’ research and wanted to be able to contribute our results to his global database.

The results showed that my maternal ancestry is U5b. This is a subset of U5, thought to be one of the oldest haplogroups in Europe, estimated at 45,000 years old and clearly predating the arrival of agriculture.

When I compared the specific pattern of genetic changes in my results to other examples online, I found an exact match in a woman whose female ancestors lived in Haderslev Amt, Denmark, on the Jutland Peninsula. That is an area near the border of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. I know my maternal ancestors come from a place that is not far south from this — Wewelsfleth near Itzhoe in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany — so this was not a surprise. It was good confirmation of my female lineage’s geographic origin.

At least its rather recent geographic orgin. The woman from southern Denmark with the exact match to my mtDNA was born 1 September 1870. That’s less than 150 years ago. Using church records, I have traced my maternal line back to the early 1700s when Metta nee Oldenburg was born in Borsfleth, a village 1.8 miles [2.9 km] from Wewelsfleth, across the Stör River near its merger with the Elbe River.  That’s almost 300 years ago.

Can we find evidence of some of the specific locations where our distant genetic cousins lived further back in time using the research on mtDNA? Yes, we can. We can’t discover who they were or prove they were in our direct line of descent, but we know they are our relatives in our genetic clan or subclan.

Focusing on mtDNA haplogroup U, we find research results placing people with this genetic pattern in Europe before the arrival of farmers from the Near East. U5 in particular has been identified in human remains from the Mesolithic in places such as England, Germany, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal and Russia.

In a chart with the recent article  ”Genetic Discontinuity Between Local Hunter-Gatherers and Central Europe’s First Farmers” by B. Bramanti et al. [Science, Vol. 326, No. 5949. (2 October 2009), pp. 137-140], dates, locations and mtDNA clades for 22 ancient skeletons are given. [Note:  the chart is available only in a print copy or  online if you have subscription]. 

The skeletons were found in Germany, Lithuania, Poland and Russia, according to the chart. Dates range from ca. 13,400 calBC [calibrated date B.C.] to ca 2250 calBC. The mtDNA results fall into these clades: U, U4, U5, U5a, U5a1, U5b1, U5b2, K, J and T2e, the most frequent  being U5b2 found in 5 of the 22 skeletons.

A few specific examples from this chart provide a glimpse of what such ancient bones can tell us about geographic locations for our ancient ancestors. Given are the genetic clade, location and date:

U – Hohler Fels, Germany – ca. 13,400 calBC
U4 – Spiginas 4, Lithuania – ca. 6350 calBC
U5 – Ostorf, Germany – ca. 3200 calBC
U5a – Drestwo 2, Poland – ca. 2250 calBC
U5a1 – Lebyazhinka IV, Russia - 8000-7000 calBC
U5b1 – Dudka 2, Poland – ca. 3250 calBC
U5b2 – Hohlenstein-Stadel, Germany – ca 6700 calBC

Other mtDNA Charts

Another listing of ancient bones that have yielded dates can be found in an easy-to-read chart. Greece, Britain, Germany, and more are included. Here you will find Cheddar Man, an old skeleton from Britain, dated to 9,000 years ago and a U5a. Also shown is Otzi the Iceman, dated to 3,000 years ago and a K1.

On that chart, my U5b is found in two locations in northern Germany. These are:
> c. 2600 BC – corded ware culture site at Eulau, located just to the southwest of Leipzig, Sachsen-Anhalt, Germany,  which is about 190 miles south of Bremen and Hamburg in northern Germany. This site revealed some genetic evidence of  families and one U5b individual.
> c. 1000 BC – Lichtenstein Cave, a Bronze Age archaeological site near Dorste, Lower Saxony, Germany, where nine ancient skeletons were U5b. This is in northwest Germany.

In that chart above, U5b is also found in skeletons from Medieval Anglo-Saxon England, not surprising as the Angles and Saxons came to England from Denmark and northwest Germany, the area of my maternal ancestors described above. 

Another detailed chart of ancient Eurasian DNA with dates  and many location can be found here.] Interesting, a U5b individual has been found in Leicester, England, dated to 300-400 A.D. in the Romano-British period.

Conclusion

Overall, the ancient bones in the B. Bramanti et al. study give evidence of Haplogroup U, U4 and U5 ancestors in Germany and nearby areas thousands of years ago, giving those in these genetic lineages a sense of our deeper family history and genealogy. The other charts provide similar insights for many other mtDNA haplogroups.

And I can see some of the specific locations and cultures of my ancient U5b maternal ancestors and cousins as much as 5,000 years ago. Genetic genealogy can indeed reveal deep ancestry!

Radio Leverkusen meldet heute, dass der CDU-Ratsherr Hermann Josef Kentrup zugegeben haben soll, mit Pro NRW Absprachen getroffen zu haben. Kentrup ist stellvertretender Vorsteher für die Ortsteile Wiesdorf, Manfort, Rheindorf und Hitdorf, er scheiterte am Montag bei der Wahl zum Bezirksvorsteher im Bezirk I nur per Los an Bürgerlisten-Kandidat Rainer Gintrowski . SPD-Fraktionschef Walter Mende zeigt sich in einer ersten Reaktion „entsetzt“, die Grünen fordern Konsequenzen und CDU-Fraktionschef Klaus Hupperth beeilt sich, gegenüber Radio Leverkusen zu betonen, die Leverkusener CDU-Ratsfraktion arbeite nicht mit Pro NRW zusammen. CDU-Vorsitzende Ursula Monheim wolle laut Radio Leverkusen vorerst keine Stellung nehmen.
Möglicherweise erklärt Kentrups Bekenntnis auch die vierte Stimme, die die Pro NRW-Fraktion (mit drei Sitzen) bei der konstituierenden Ratssitzung am Montag für eine von ihr vorgelegte Liste für die Bürgermeisterwahl erhalten hatte? Die CDU hatte bereits vor der Wahl wiederholt kategorisch ausgeschlossen, mit Pro NRW ebenso wie mit der Linken Verhandlungen zu führen.

Damit dürfte auch das Statement von Oberbürgermeister Reinhard Buchhorn (CDU) hinfällig sein, das er der Rheinischen Post am Tag nach seiner Schweinegrippenimpfung gegeben hat: „Ich fühle mich gut!“

Geduldete überparteiliche Bündnisse der CDU sind bei leverkusen.com für jedermann nachzulesen: Dort gratuliert Timur Lutfullin von der FDP Rüdiger Scholz zu seiner Nominierung als Leverkusener CDU-Kandidat für die bevorstehende Landtagswahl (heute auch im Anzeiger). Lutfullin, selbst FDP-Kandidat für die Landtagswahl, betont in seiner Mitteilung, er und Scholz hätten „die Aufgabe, in Leverkusen für das Fortbestehen der außerordentlich erfolgreichen Landesregierung unter der Führung von Jürgen Rüttgers und Andreas Pinkwart zu werben“.
Noch etwas überschwänglicher gratuliert CDU-Ratsherr Andreas Eckloff dem Parteikollegen aus Rheindorf in seinem Bekenntnis: Scholz mache „uns Rheindorfer Christdemokraten stolz“.

Pünktlich zur Eskalation steigt der Leverkusener Anzeiger wieder in die Berichterstattung zur Stadthalle Opladen ein: Gerichtsvollzieher, Polizei und sogar ein Rettungswagen seien am Mittwoch unter den Protagonisten vor dem Haus Fürstenberg gewesen. Der Gerichtsvollzieher habe Pächter Sven Reumkens Hausrecht und Pächter Michael Lamm Hausverbot erteilt, weil es zu Rangeleien gekommen sei, habe die Polizei eingreifen müssen. Wer die komplizierten Pachtverhältnisse um die im Besitz von Uwe Fuhrmann befindliche Immobilie verstehen möchte, sollte der Berichterstattung von Anzeiger oder RP folgen.

Über das Urteil im Prozess am Düsseldorfer Landgericht im Fall des getöteten Immobilienmaklers aus Leverkusen berichtet die RP, der Anzeiger meldet es kurz auf der Panoramaseite: Der 23-jährige Mann aus Solingen, der den 69-Jährigen mit zwei Scheren erstochen hatte, muss für zwölf Jahre wegen Totschlags in Haft. Seine 23-jährige Freundin hatte ihn zu dem Raubüberfall auf ihren Ex-Chef angestiftet. Die Frau muss als „Initiatorin“ für vier Jahre in Haft, darf die Strafe aber später antreten.

Die Arbeitsmarktzahlen für Leverkusen liegen im Oktober im Bundestrend, sind also überraschend gefallen, melden Anzeiger und RP: 7025 beschäftigungslose Frauen Männer seien bei der Arbeitsagentur in Bergisch Gladbach für Leverkusen gemeldet, das entspreche einer Arbeitslosenquote von 8,6 Prozent. 261 weniger als im September (8,9 Prozent) und 296 weniger als im Oktober des Vorjahres.

Außerdem: Der Bayer-Vorstandsvorsitzende Werner Wenning soll am Montag den NRW-Innovationspreis für sein Lebenswerk erhalten, meldet die RP. Bei der Eröffnung des „Kaufpark“ in Bürrig waren Anzeiger und RP vor Ort. In Münsters Gässchen in Schlebusch legte Klaus Müller den Grundstein zum „Karree im Dorf“, bezeugen Anzeiger und RP. Und bei der Premiere des Films „This is it“ traf die RP am Mittwoch enthusiastische Michael-Jackson-Fans im Kinopolis.

Kultur: Denkwürdig dürfte der Mittwochabend im „topos“ sein, dem der Anzeiger beiwohnte: Anlässlich der Vorstellung der Memoiren von Rockpalast-Legende und Wahl-Leverkusener Peter Rüchel („Rockpalast – Erinnerungen“) trat auch ein ganz besonderer Gast auf die Bühne: BAP-Frontmann Wolfgang Niedecken spielte zum ersten Mal in dem Leverkusener Jazzclub. Ein Abend, schreibt Frank Weiffen, „an dem das kleine ‚topos’ für dreieinhalb Stunden zum Mittelpunkt der Rock’n’Roll-Welt wurde“.
Beim Auftakt der Kleinkunst-Saison von KulturStadtLev und EVL im K1 in Wiesdorf sah der Anzeiger eine „belebende“ „Bert-Engel-Show“.

These wacky European funds know how to stretch for credibility.  Here is an excerpt from the most recent June 2009 monthly update from K1, the German fund of hedge funds recently embroiled in an international criminal investigation:

Current situation on suspended redemption of participation rights

• The K1 fund of hedge funds is invested in 74 target funds.

• Of these 74 target funds, 22 target funds are currently not accepting any terminations because they themselves first have to service their lending banks.

• Roughly USD 1,200,000,000 has already been paid out of the target funds to the banks.

• Roughly USD 600,000,000 still has to be paid to the banks.

• Of this amount of roughly USD 600,000,000, currently USD 450,000,000 is tied in the aforementioned 22 target funds.

• Overall, business transactions with the target funds is steadily improving. With the open-ended target funds, partial payments are made regularly.

• As things now stand, we assume on a rough estimate that it will take K1 a maximum of another 9 months for the remaining USD 600,000,000 to be paid completely, and that it will therefore not be able to redeem any participation rights during this period.

• Regardless of this suspension in the redemption of participation rights, investors may continue to subscribe participation rights and participate in performance.

We are convinced that this suspension in the redemption of participation rights also has a positive side,
ultimately having preserved investors from the panic realisation of losses.  We have broadly diversified our investments in 74 target funds so that we can see our way well through difficult times and quickly recover from loss phases.  Old stock market wisdom says that investors who have the courage to invest after a loss phase have picked a good starting point.  Anyone who invested in K1 after the low in October 08 achieved a return of 14% during the period of November 08 to June 09. What the hell is “business transactions is steadily improving”?  What the hell is “another 9 months”?  What the hell is this “investors may continue to subscribe participation rights and participate in performance.”  How is your auditor going to swallow the marks you’ve decided to give yourself (+11.89% YTD) if there is almost HALF A BILLION DOLLARS MISSING?  Oh, wait, the auditor is the lovely “Prof. Josef A Becker in cooperation with Kosma, Saeftel & Kuenkele (Germany).”  I’m sure the good professor is doing the best he can.

Do yourself a favor: blacklist anyone who ever invested in this turkey–and definitely don’t let them touch your mon(k)ey.

A intenção deste blog não é desencorajar ninguém de procurar alguém através da internet. Tenho plena certeza de que pode acontecer e dar certo e sem dúvida os sites sérios fazem um ótimo trabalho unindo casais. Não existe uma verdade absoluta quando se fala em encontrar alguém. Uma pessoa que cometeu um crime pode se regenerar? Penso que sim, aliás pra isso servem as punições. Para não só o indivíduo pagar pelo que fez, mas para se regenerar e voltar a sociedade. Mas todos se regeneram? Cada um tem sua opinião. Eu, por exemplo, não acredito em regeneração de pedófilos.

A lei norte americana de imigração não proíbe um individuo que já tenha cometido crimes, entre eles o de abuso sexual de menores, de trazerem mulheres estrangeiras com seus filhos menores para imigrar para este país. Mas como já explicado em outro post, se o visto utilizado é o de noiva, existe a obrigação de que tais crimes sejam informados à estrangeira beneficiária do pedido.

O formulário I-129F, utilizado para este visto, em sua página 3, Parte C, Perguntas 2 e 3, exige, sob pena de perjúrio a divulgação do passado criminal do indivíduo fazendo o pedido de visto, a seguir:

A resposta a esta pergunta é necessária, mesmo se os seus registros foram selados ou apagados ou se alguém, incluindo um juiz, um oficial da lei, ou advogado, disse que você não tem mais um registro. Usando uma  folha separada de papel , anexar a informação relacionada com a condenaçãos, tais como o crime em causa, a data da condenação e a pena.

3. Se você forneceu informações sobre uma condenação por um dos crimes listados acima e você estava sendo espancada ou submetida a extrema crueldade por seu esposo, pai, adulto ou criança no momento de sua convicção, verificar todas as seguintes características que se aplicam a

você:

- Eu estava agindo em legítima defesa.

- Eu violei uma ordem expedida para minha própria proteção.

- Eu cometi, fui preso, condenado, ou me declarei culpado de cometer um crime que não resultou em lesão corporal grave, e havia uma ligação entre o crime cometido e eu ter sido espancada ou submetidas a extrema crueldade.

Todos os crimes descritos acima, tem que ser revelados e É DIREITO de todas as mulheres vindo para os Estados Unidos com o visto de noiva, o acesso a essas informações quando o cidadão norte americano responde sim a quaisquer destas perguntas. Portanto, faça valer o seu direito e não tenha medo de perguntar, de pedir pelo formulário. É um direito seu saber o passado criminal da pessoa que está peticionando seu visto de noiva.

Children had the biggest costume party of the year for the occasion of Halloween. Besides going trick or treating to primary, secondary and even the offices, we had a fun-filled week of arts and crafts, games, music and stories based on the theme of ghosts, witches, pumpkins, monsters and dragons. Carefully built up activities help young children not only to learn about a festival and have fun, but also to recognise and express basic emotions like joy, surprise and being scared in a safe environment.

This is what we were singing to scare other students and teachers:
Trick or treat, smell my feet,
Give me something good to eat,
Ghosts and witches, monsters too,
Are waiting outside for YOU!
