Yesterday, while I was fiddling around with my Sony Ericsson K800i, which I’ve had for about two years now, I came across a glitch, the first one I’ve found on the entire phone. The glitch only works if you have no credit, which is commonplace for me, and here’s how to do it:

1. Go to your text messages inbox and navigate to any message you like as long as the contact it’s from is saved to your phone. Press the green call button on your keypad. A screen will appear with all the phone numbers for that contact.
2. Navigate to any of the available phone numbers and press the green call button again. The call to that number will be initiated. When you hear a voice telling you don’t have enough credit to make the call, press the ‘More’ key on your keypad. Select ‘Main Menu’ on the menu which appears. You will return to the Main Menu with the call still going on.
3. Press the red call end button to end the call. Now press the back button to return to the standby screen. Press the Toolbar button.

You will see ‘Inbox’ listed as one of the running apps! What’s more, select the Inbox link and you’ll go back to the screen listing all available phone numbers for the contact you called in step one! This blog post shows that I have no life.

photo blogSejak dulu punya HP, gunta-ganti pasti seputaran merek sony ericsson dan nokia, walaupun sempet berkhianat sedikit ke merek siemens, motorola, dan skrg yg flexi malah pake samsung. Dulu aku pernah punya Sony Ericsson K800i, waktu itu memang sudah ada fasilitas untuk kirim foto ke blog (khususnya blogger.com), walau belum terintegrasi menunya…tapi membuatku bertanya-tanya bagaimana cara menggunakan “mobile blogging” ini atau “photo blogging” ini atau buat “photo blog” ini ..pusing banyak istilahnya..

Nah..sekarang lewat Sony Ericsson-ku yang baru G700, menu “Blog This” menjadi semakin mudah diakses. Tinggal jepret fotonya bisa di mana pun kapan pun (bahkan didalem WC sekalipun..hi..hi..hi), pilih menu Option -> Send -> Blog, masuk ke bagian Editing Mini Blog-nya, kasih deskripsi sedikit, kasih judul, langsung pilih Publish…tunggu bentar barang beberapa saat, langsung nanti ada konfirmasi untuk mengunjungi blog yang telah ter-update. Kegiatan ini dilakukan selama jaringan GPRS/3G-nya terkoneksi, hanya terpotong pulsa IM3-ku kurang dari Rp. 100,- (masih mahalan SMS-an antar operator…)…dan foto-fotoku langsung bisa dilihat oleh “DUNIA”…ha..ha

Emang sih, pada saat awal-awal, ada sedikit prosedur tambahan yang harus dilakukan terlebih dahulu. Pada saat kita pilih Publish, dalam beberapa saat kita akan menerima konfirmasi layanan dari Blogger.com, kemudian diikuti dengan diterimanya SMS dari Blogger.com (waw..keren, di header SMS-nya tertulis “Blogger”, baru kali ini dapet sms kayak gitu). Dalam SMS itu berisi konfirmasi bahwa photo blog kita telah ditempatkan di alamat khusus beserta ID dan Password yang telah disediakan secara acak (random) oleh Blogger.com

Setelah mendapatkan SMS..langsung deh menuju TKP…tapi masih ada sedikit tambahan prosedur. Karena sebenarnya aku telah punya blog aktif di blogger.com, maka..aku ingin donk..agar foto-foto itu bisa langsung di-upload ke dalam blogger-ku aja, jangan alamat blog lain yang gak jelas. Nah..didasbor blog tersebut kita bisa memilih fasilitas untuk memindahkan posting2x kita ke alamat blog yang kita inginkan, misalnya dari http://rwe245343w.blogspot.com ke http://120679.blogspot.com

Walau proses pemindahan memakan waktu lama…tapi akhirnya selesai juga, nah terlihat di dasbor di blogku, disitu terlihat jelas tampilan di kiri bawah, bahwa Sony Ericsson G700-ku dikenali Blogger.com, bahkan tipe G700-nya pun langsung dikenal.

Mungkin ini manfaat tambahan sekaligus hiburan yang aku dapatkan dengan memiliki Sony Ericsson yang bekerja sama khusus dengan Blogger.com, namun sayang..andaikan Sony Ericsson mau bekerja sama juga dengan web blog-web blog yang lain, misalnya seperti WordPress.com-ku ini. (riokur12)

10:19 – I walk around the side of the Church, dump some cans in the recycling bin, and then walk back around to the front entrance to go in. Kez Keeping is there with little baby Ethan in a pushchair, me and Bill Harman carefully carry the pushchair upstairs.

10:21 – I notice that the visuals and recording computers are now at the back of the church instead of at the front.

10:22 – Paul Keeping approaches me to tell me that I was down on the rota to control the visuals. I don’t tell him I haven’t been sent an email with the rota attached. I should have. The next thing I know he’s telling me I’m no longer on the media team because I’m unreliable.

10:23 – I sit myself down in the back corner of the church, as close to the door as possible, looking as angry as possible so that nobody would come up to me and try to be social.

10:24 – I wonder why I wasn’t sent the rota in an email. I guess it’s too late to mention it now, or I’d look like I’m trying to make an excuse to get back on the media team, or even worse like I’m trying to shift the blame onto someone else.

10:25 – I remember that I have free UK text messages and start sending spam messages to Kate just to annoy her.

10:30 – The screamers… uh… I mean… singers, get up on stage and the first words appear on the wall. Everyone stands. We all start singing.

10:35 – I feel a vibration in my pocket and expect to have an angry reply from Kate. I was wrong. It was Joy saying she was just off to Mathilde’s party.

10:40 – Can’t stop thinking of Joy. Freddie gets on stage and makes some rubbish jokes. His wife goes on after him and says ‘I don’t have the same sense of humour as my husband’. Everyone cheers. I almost smile.

10:45 – Jenny comes and sits next to me. I hope she doesn’t want me to be social. Otherwise I may have to shoot myself.

10:50 – After another song Freddie asks everyone to greet one another. I turn to this college girl whose name I’ve forgotten. She randomly informs me that her housemate has just thrown up all over the house. What a nice way to introduce yourself. And a nice way to start a Church meeting.

10:53 – There is silence. Jenny says a prayer. Everyone turns to look at her. They end up staring at me. I feel watched. Is it my hair? Is it my fatness? Is it my Geek Squad t-shirt? The same thing happens again when the woman in front of me says a prayer.

10:55 – I tell Dan that I’d rather stay in the main meeting instead of going off to join him and the rest of the youths for the teenager’s meeting. Feeling too intelligent. And antisocial.

11:00 – Hayley starts her talk and I listen intently. Never heard her preach before.

11:10 – Well blow me down, she’s gives a really good speech. Uses a quote from Benjamin Franklin’s journal that really inspires me. Still thinking of Joy. Every minute. Every second. All the time. she never leaves me mind. Not for a split second. Not at all.

11:50 – Hayley comes to the end of her talk by mentioning the moment when Jesus met a woman at the well.

11:51 – A prayer goes up and we sing a final song.

11:59 – The meeting finishes and I see Anthony chasing his baby girl down the aisle.

12:01 – Finally stopped laughing at Anthony’s escapade.

12:05 – I send a few more spam texts to Kate and then start to try to summon the ennui to get off my ass and go home.

12:06 – Still sat down. The college girl walks shuffles past and says ‘see you later’. I reply ‘Bonne journee’. She looks at me oddly. Then smiles. She says ‘I don’t know why I told you about my housemate by the way’. I smile back and retort, ‘it’s okay, I’m just as weird’.

12:07 – The college girl is gone. I realise something. I just called her weird.

12:09 – Walking along Baffins Pond, looking into the water and thinking of Joy.

12:11 – I almost tread on a squirrel. He stares up at me. I stare back. He’s quite cute.

12:15 – I realise my adventure would make a great blog post.

Yes, the K800i browser handles this very well. Simply surf to http://mail.google.com and login as usual. (Many other mobile phones with capable browsers can achieve this too without the need for a dedicated email client. You will be surprised how much your old phone can do thanks to some spiffy html by Google!)

A: This is most likely caused by dirt. Blow hard into the joystick area while wiggling it with equal gusto. Keep doing this until the joystick begins to work again. Driver Kamera K800i: Mana Yang Terbaik?

Kali ini saya mencoba untuk membandingkan 5 camera driver untuk K800i dan K810i dalam sesi pemotretan indoor. Bermula dari keperluan saya menggunakan kamera K800i, saya menemukan ada berberapa driver kamera K800i, yaitu: Kopritis, NumberOne, Raider, dan Ultimate W ithan. Untuk mengetahui mana yang terbaik, saya mencoba satu per satu dan membandingkannya dengan yang original. Versi camera driver yang digunakan masing-masing adalah yang terbaru, kecuali untuk Kopritis digunakan yang paling optimal yaitu versi 3.5, dan untuk camera driver orisinal yang digunakan adalah versi dari firmware R1JG001.

I. Introduction

Introduction: First Impression

Dalam mode ini, CyDo mencoba memotret sebuah kardus bekas gameboy milik tetangga. Sangat sulit dibedakan, bukan? Kemampuan kamera driver K800i baik yg original maupun yang buatan fans, ternyata hasilnya tidaklah jauh berbeda. Banyak noise terlihat di foto-foto tersebut. Sayangnya, kamera driver K800i orisinil sangat sulit mengatasi handshake yg diberikan. Sedangkan, hasil kamera driver lainnya cukup bagus meski dipenuhi noise.

Low Light 1: Flash On

Dalam mode ini, flash dinyalakan dan ruang digelapkan. Semua kamera driver mendapatkan hasil memuaskan karena ruang yang amat gelap terpotret bagaikan ruang yang berlampu! Ada berberapa kekurangan seperti noise, pencahayaan kurang merata seperti yang terjadi pada Withan. Kopritis dan driver orginal K800i mendapat hasil yang paling bagus.

Dalam mode ini, flash dimatikan dan akan memotret ruang yang agak gelap. Di mode ini, akan dicek seberapa besar noise yang didapat dan warna yang terpotret. Hasil yang terbaik dan minim noise didapat oleh orginal camdriver dan disusul Raider. Hasil terburuk dengan noise yang banyak didapat oleh Kopritis.

Dalam sesi ini, focus diset macro. Hasil yang didapat cukup mengejutkan, karena hasil daripada NumberOne dan Raider paling baik dan optimal, yang lainnya setara.

Kalo kamera driver ini adalah murid SMA, maka final test ini unasnya. Hasilnya ternyata semua hampir sama, di bawah standard. Banyak noise dan blur dimana-mana.

OVERALL CONCLUSION

Sebenarnya kinerja dan hasil semua daripada kamera driver adalah hampir sama jika dalam mode auto indoor. Ya, dalam test ini, setting yang digunakan adalah semua auto, kecuali flash dan focus yang diatur pada berberapa sesi. Pada flash, hampir semua sesi dimatikan flashnya. Sebenarnya, dalam mode auto, semua kamera driver ini tidak adil bila dibanding-bandingkan, mengingat stiap kamera driver unggul pada settingan tertentu. Tapi bila anda seperti saya, ingin kamera driver yang bagus dalam kesuluruhan, ikutilah dan terapkanlah hasil perbandingan ini.

Berdasarkan penghitungan poin, Raiderlah pemenang overall dengan sedikit kelebihan poin. Keunggulan lainnya, bermain dengan Raider sangat me ngasyikkan. Bisa mengatur focus (manual focus), ISO, dsb melalui EVnya. Jadi, selain Raider unggur dalam hampir semua kondisi, Raider cocok untuk yg suka ngutak-ngatik dan Macro. Dalam hal warna natural, NumberOne juaranya. Withan juga layak jika ingin warna lebih menarik dari bendanya. Original pun bagus untuk flashnya yang top maknyuus. Kopritis mungkin di tengah rata-rata saja dalam compare ini tapi videonya lebih unggguuuul dengan fps banyak (belum dites). Perlu dicatat, ini untuk indoor, jadi masih belum final.

Aku pengguna Sony Ericsson K800i, fiture yang paling aku suka adalah kemampuannya mengabadikan moment.
Dengan 72 pixel dan ukuran 2048 x 1536, cukup bagus kalau di cetak dalam ukuran 10R.
Foto yang aku ambil langsung bisa aku kirim ke blog yang udah disediakan pabrikan. Memperkecil resiko kehilangan dengan menyimpan langsung file di blog.
Kalau masih di memory kadang secara ga sengaja terhapus. Aku pernah mengalami kejadian ini setelah mengabadikan moment bersama keluarga kecilku di Kebun Raya Cibodas.
Saat memindahkan dari memory ke HDD, kehapus. Waduuh ojaaaannn.

The other week I got a Sony Ericsson K770i to replace my ailing K800i. It was cheap, direct from Vodafone (& I got quidco cashback) but it was also locked. Not being able to find a free unlock method on the net (unusual) I tried eBay. A while later I had the code and unlocking instructions. Unfortunately I couldn’t get it to work. I tried emailing the eBay seller. But no reply.

I then googled k700i again. This time I found a set of instructions which were totally different. And it worked!

The funny end to the story is that I then got an email from the eBay seller saying his method didn’t work and what had I done to unlock mine. I did reply, because I’m nice like that.
