On a serious note, the act of making love is a profound, sacred and a purposeful act designed by the creator and it can’t be simply narrowed down to something like for the sake of India.It’s the freedom of the novelist to cash in on the popular trends of the time and bring in ideas like ‘having sex for the sake of India,’ but it is up to the intelligent readers to rise above the literary sweetness and strive for new horizons with responsibility keeping in mind the humanity as a whole.
