Lil Wayne and Latoya celebrated their daughter Reginae’s 11th’s birthday with a Slumber Party in Atlant this weekend.  It was a star studded event and it just looks like good old family fun!  I will say this for Lil Wayne….yes, he does appear to be having children at a ridiculous pace, but he does seem to be into being a hands on Daddy!

I was inspired by twitter’s Music Monday so I decided to feature songs every monday & friday. BET, also known as Black Embarrassment Television, aired the Soul Train Awards last night after a two-year hiatus.

I have many mixed feelings in regards to BET as the culprit of perpetuated stereotypes of black Americans. However, I also realize without BET many black artists and entertainers would not be showcased on other media outlets.

With that said, here is a glimpse of what you missed.

Hosted by Taraji P. Henson and Terrance Howard, the award show was held in the dirty south, ATL. From the look of things, the budget was ridiculously low as we witnessed guests sitting in fold-up chairs- how tacky. Furthermore, many of the performances were sub-par to say the least, actually resembling that of a high school talent show instead of an actual award show.

Keri Hilson’s performance was mediocre. Although she sounded good live, I don’t know if I can consider her dancing skills up to par as of yet. I need to see more. But Ms. Hilson did walk away with two awards reading her acceptance speech from her bedazzled studded phone. Come on now boo, get it together.

Kandi sounded horrible. Brian McKnight was looking at her during their duo with that ‘get it together RIGHT NOW’ face.

I hope Charlie Wilson’s background singers were fired immediately after the show. Did they not rehearse? How embarrassing.

Highlights of the night were few far and in between.

Tamia, Kelly Price and Deborah Cox presented an award while singing. Now them are some singing sistahs! Johnny Gill started speaking in tongues during his performance, but nonetheless…my my my is all I’m going to say. Two of the four Boyz II Men group members sung “End of the Road” and they hit every note! People are sleeping on Chrisette Michelle because that girl hit every note as naturally as she breathes.

By far the best part of the night was the tribute to Chaka Khan. My girl Erykah Badu can do no wrong. An excellent choice to begin the tribute. Ledese was good too, I wasn’t feeling the cone on top of her head, but she can blow. Angie Stone sung but kept awkwardly making Chaka sing. Ms. Khan was looking at her like, ‘bish you supposed to be singing to me.’ But when Chaka did open her mouth, it was like a heavenly sound to your ears. No practice, no rehearsal, Chaka gets up out her chair sangin.’ Now that’s a bad sistah.

All in all, I could have been doing homework for the two hours I suffered through the Soul Train Awards. Overemphasizing of Centric, BET’s new sister network was tiring, the random announcers like RHOA-uhh Lisa that leather outfit was #FAIL, all the kissing scenes and people like Chico Debarge coming out of the woodworks was just too random for me.

This award show looked like it was put together in a week with its cheap ass backdrops, chairs and stage props.

Bob Johnson and Debra Lee, thank you for turning BET into a once reputable network that showcased the talent of blacks, into a disgraceful network that perpetuates every negative stereotype ever created. You’ve done your people a great service.  Hope you’re proud.

Best homemade cheesecake I’ve ever baked! You get the best of both worlds, its like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. As you can see theres a golden brown strike running across the cheesecake, which indicates I left it in to long. But it did not dry out, and that can happen if your oven is really hot at 350 F so you might have to use 325 F.

2 pkgs (8-ounce) of Cream Cheese

1 cup Sugar

3 large Eggs

1 1/2 tsp Vanilla

1/4 tsp

3  cups Sour Cream

Peanut Butter

Jelly (choice of flavored)

Preheat oven to 350 F.

1. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until very smooth ( 3 minutes). Add 1 egg at a time, beating after each addition until smooth and scraping down sides.

2. Add the lemon juice, vanilla, and salt and beat until incorporated. Beat in the sour cream just until blended.

3. Place aside 1 cup of mixture and beat in peanut butter. Then pour about 1/3 cup of peanut butter mixture on top of prepared graham crust, then add tablespoons full of flavored jelly around and in the middle of the pan; then add a little of the other mixture that does not contain peanut butter.  Continue to do this alternatively ending with the non peanut butter mixture on top and adding a few more drops of jelly around the pan.

4. Set the pan in a larger pan and surround it with 1 inch of very hot water. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes. Turn off the oven without opening the door and let the cake cool for 1 hour. Remove to a rack and cool at room temperature (for 1 hour). Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.

* For a richer, denser cheesecake; replace 3 whole eggs with 6 egg yolks.

Graham Cracker Pie Crust

1 1/4 cups Keebler Graham Cracker Crumbs or Cookie crumbs

3 tbsp sugar

1/3 cup butter or margarine

Combine crumbs and sugar in medium-sized bowl. Stir in melted butter or margarine until completely blended. Pack mixture firmly into 9-inch pan and press. Chill 1 hour before baking or bake in 350 F oven for 8 minutes, then cool, chill and fill.

And In ATL Kandi had the Grand Opening of her new boutique TAGS last night in Smyrna’s West Village some of the houswives came out to support other stars like  Bobby Valentino, Designer Michael Knight, Photographer Derek Blanks, Diamond & rapper Rasheeda also were there.

a few days ago i tweeted:

so lets break this down a little.

first things first – lou.
after meeting for lunch recently we spoke about the diary and kandi’s bullshit antics to try and make me feel guilty.
the fact that kandi had a go at me behind my back was pathetic.
she never had a problem coming to me when there was an issue with madz or keeley or any one else for that matter.
but she couldn’t even come to me about dean or even about me?
wow.
that was heart breaking.

for lou to rock up, be all nice and do the whole “give me sympathy because my sister’s now dead” act, and then stab me in the back with a lousy diary, was just low.
fucking low.
i’m sure she didn’t mean any harm by it but come on, seriously.
what the fuck was i going to say?

“oh kandi’s right, i’m a selfish bitch and shouldn’t have take dean away from her.”

i didn’t fucking know?!
and if i did i definitely wouldn’t have gone out with him.

we spent a mere half hour bickering over the diary, kandi and dean before i got up and walked off.
she chased me down the street and violently turned me to face her.
i was so close to punching her.
her last words?

“you’re a self righteous bitch and you deserve no one, kandi was right about you all along. you string danger and drama wherever you go – and you don’t even know it.”

my god.
i don’t know what was funnier: the fact that i had a crazy bitch screaming in my face out the front of juan valdez coffee or the fact i’d walked in the wrong direction to get to my car.
but that didn’t matter, the only person who looked like a fool was her.
she caused an unnecessary spectacle out of nothing and i was the one having the last laugh.

she turned and walked off, blushing of crimson embarrassment while i stood out the front of juan valdez to catch my thoughts.

as i started walking (in the right direction) to my car, i bumped into madz.
she read the expression on my face and knew exactly what had happened.
she had asked if i was ok, and of course i was, i think i was more flustered by the abuse spat at me by lou.
she’d walked back with me to my car before heading off back to work.

i called shane who came over later that night.

which brings me to the next topic: shane.
he had spoken to darcy and everything was sorted.
which i was really happy to hear.
we didn’t talk about ‘us’ until just before he left.

we were watching dvds on monday night when he took my by the hand and led me out to the balcony of my apartment.
it was considerably warm and the lights over nyc were still quite bright.
he put his arms around me and said something that sent an adrenalin through me.

“i’ve never stopped loving you. would you give me another chance? i promise i will make everything up to you.”

i paused, not out of hesitation but out of shock.
i was so happy to hear him say that, but at the same time i had a slight panic.
didn’t i just say recently that i still wasn’t sure if i was ready?
at the same time i thought – if i don’t stop worrying so much, i will never be happy.

i felt like i was getting proposed to!
but no, that wasn’t the case.

i only had one small problem.
i wanted to speak to dean, about kandi.
i had told shane everything that had happened and he was actually ok with me speaking to him.
i mean, i wasn’t ok with me, speaking to him.
it was in the past and i should really leave it there, but i know that if i don’t say something then it’ll really eat at me.
and that’s something i really hate.

i guess i’ll have to see what dean’s excuse is.

but for now, i officially have a boyfriend.

i’m happy…

i spent all of last weekend enjoying quiet time by myself.
but when i got back, i just couldn’t be fucked reading anymore of kandi’s bullshit diary.
so i burnt it, mailed the ashes and whatever was left of my pyrotechnic work to lou.
i was sick of reading kandi bluntly accuse me of stealing the only guy she ever really wanted.
i was sick of reading her write about how she would come home after a night out with all of us and feel excluded from the group just because dean paid her no attention.
i was sick of letting her words making me feel some form of guilt even though it had nothing to do with me.
if she wanted dean to be more than a fuck she should have said something!
at least when she realised that it was dean i was dating.
dean, the fucker… should have said something too.

lou called me today.
she received my lovely gift.
and she wasn’t too pleased that i’d destroyed it without telling her.
i told her to get over it and stop turning into her sister.
as much as they are twins, i’d like to think that lou wasn’t the evil one.

shane’s coming over soon.
i’ve missed him so fucking much.
we talk almost every day, if not a call at least a text here and there.
but i haven’t seen him for a while so it was good to finally spend some time with him.
i’m going to have to fill him in on the diary bullshit too.

right now i’m going to relax with a glass of white and tivo.
until shane gets here anyway.

November 5, 2009 Tonight it was all about RHOA and RHOOC (Real Housewives of Orange County) Yes, the originals are back! Of course it’s Thursday and that means a night full of foolishness, but before that comes Survivor Samoa. The two groups merged tonight and I guess the saying is true, two heads are better than one. When they came together as Aiga (meaning extended family in Samoan) they blindsided Russell and he used the immunity idol for what? Absolutely nothing! Great job. He’s stumped on his next move and honestly, like .0009% of me will hate to see him go because he is the entertainment of the show. He’s outsmarting, outwitting and outlasting all of the other players.

RHOA Reunion Part 2, well what do I say? Andy drilled Kim with the questions about Big Poppa and I loved it! There wasn’t a lot of drama this time and I’m quite disappointed. I mean, who wouldn’t want to see Kim getting flipped over a couch by Lisa and those arms? Or Sheree’. *shrugs* Kim, Kim, Kim, what do I say about your singing? It made my stomach turn and I covered my eyes because I was embarrassed for you. Not only was the singing horrific, but the dancing was…well, let’s just say I would have rather listened to her brag about how Big Poppa spoils her all night. But keep in mind, she’s not a hooker because he spends six nights at her house and gives her money to shop with and hookers just don’t do those kinds of things!

Kandi was emotional last week about AJ and I felt sad for her but she is a very strong willed woman and she seems to be doing fine. Follow her on Twitter; she’s one of my favorite celebrity Twitters. @KandiConnection. Tonight, her singing was a little off but I still would rather her sing than speak. As Kim bragged about being a one hit wonder, I could almost see the bubble coming from Kandi’s head with the dollar signs in it. I’m not mad at you honey.

NeNe…LaNethia as Andy called her tonight. (What?) I’m proud that she kept her composure during the reunion but I am upset that the “hood” and “ghetto” sides did not come out tonight. Get over your dad; put your son back in school and keep doing your thing with your “mem-raws” and you’ll be fine. You are the most entertaining on the show, but don’t get too “uppity Negro” on us.” Thanks.

The Originals are BACK!

Yes ladies and gentlemen, the Real Housewives of Orange County (RHOOC) opened the doors to their $10 million dollar mansions to us once again!

Vicki starts the show off very dramatic (like we would expect any less from Vicki) by skydiving! It looks like crazy fun and I can’t wait to go next summer.

Lynne is still a little weird to me and her daughter Alexa is in for it. She’s a little hot mama who is fast in the pants and can finally multiply 10 x 2 at the age of 16. Wow.

Tamra is still the little rat bitch who keeps running her mouth about everything and everyone. Her and the hubby are on the verge of a divorce. Hmmm. What happened to all of the hot sex and wild nights from last season?

Then there’s Jeana or whatever her name is. I feel sorry for her, seems like she’s fading in the limelight because she isn’t as rich as she used to be. She had an unfortunate situation but I can’t feel sorry for someone who stayed with their verbally abusive husband for the money. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

And then there was Gretchen. She’s so fun! I loved her shrine of Jeff but I don’t like her and Slade together. He just rubs me the wrong way! UGH! **Best part of tonight? RHOOC sitting at the dinner table and Gretchen telling Tamra, “No, this is me telling you to Shut the FCUK up!” – Classic!!

i feel that it was very good for Kandi to get that out, its sad that this had to happen. But at the same time we have to remember that death is all apart of life. AJ is in a better place right now keeping his eye on Kandi and his kids. HOWEVER I must say that im pretty upset that Mr Richardson got let off on bail. I’m sorry if you ask me people got lazy and didnt want to look for things that would prove that Richardson really killed AJ. But who cares what i think i’m just a Blogger:

I watched “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” Reunion Part Une, and to me it was pretty boring, I guess the girls saw how dumb they looked last season’s reunion fighting like teenagers and decided to switch their flow up mid/end season. The much anticipated confrontation between NeNe and Kim turned out to be a total snore-fest. They both all of a sudden tried to act civilized, it seemed as if they had a conversation pre-taping and decided to not talk about any beefs between the two of them……. The only real part of the reunion was when Kandi was being interviewed. Everyone else was dodging questions left and right…..Real my ass. We’ll see how “real” they keep it next Thursday on Bravo @ 10pm.

Sad to say that I have been hooked, just like many others and was so excited about the finale of these over the top women that we just can’t seem to get enough of. Not to mention, I know you have heard me say it before, but are they really “Housewives”? So the finale last night….total disappointment. The Real BITCHES of Atlanta were in full effect, sad to say. If you missed it, you didn’t miss much. I will be more than happy to give you a brief summary of how it all went down:

Andy: Sheree, who is Pooky and them? And are they as in love with you as you are with yourself considering you keep throwing parties for yourself? Oh and our viewers seem to think that you are really a lesbian in love with your best friend Tanya.

Sheree: Shut up Andy, next question.

Andy: Kim, when are you going to take the wig off?

Kim: Huh?

Andy: Are you and Big Papa still doing it? Are you sleeping with him for his money?

Kim: I am not his mistress! He sleeps with me 6 nights out of the week.

Andy: So you are not a home-wrecker, that sleeps with him for his money?

Kim: No Andy, I used to be a waitress, I was smart with my money! Get the hell off of Big Pappa!!

Andy: NeNe, so you and Kim were like WWF on the show?

NeNe: We had a conversation on the phone and we are friends now. Next question.

Andy: That is so LOL. (Huge Smile)

Andy: Lisa is it true that you and your husband lost your house?

Lisa: No we did a short sale and it isn’t any of your business Andy.

That’s about it. Other than Kandi’s emotional accounting of AJ’s passing, which I wouldn’t dare mock this tragedy, all in all the Finale Was Lame!! So lame that it warranted a part 2 where we get the esteem pleasure of watching Kim perform “Don’t Be Tardy for the Party”. Can’t wait!! LOL

Serious Bravo, LOGO…someone should jump on it the….”The Real Lesbian Wives of Atlanta”. I guarantee that my Boo and I can put on a much better show.
