One new Hindi movie opens in the Chicago area this weekend. Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year stars the ubiquitous Ranbir Kapoor as a young man starting his career in sales.

Rocket Singh opens on Friday, December 11 at the Big Cinemas Golf Glen 5 in Niles, AMC South Barrington 30 in South Barrington and AMC Cantera 30 in Warrenville. The movie has a listed runtime of 2 hrs. 35 min.

After earning nearly $200,000 in the U.S. its opening weekend, Paa is sticking around for a second week at the Golf Glen 5, South Barrington 30 and Cantera 30. De Dana Dan, which has earned $913,899 in the U.S. so far, returns to the Cantera 30 and South Barrington 30. The South Barrington 30 is also carrying over Kurbaan (US $736,413 to date).

Other Indian movies showing in Chicago area theaters this weekend include Katha (Telugu), Kerala Cafe (Malayalam) and Saleem (Telugu) at the Golf Glen 5. Sathyam Cinemas in Downers Grove is showing the Telugu film Arya 2.

Coup de chance, il y avait un bateau ensuite pour Katha. Embarquement le 26 janvier.  18000 K. Des Birmans et une petite dizaine de touristes.

Peu après avoir quitté Bhamo, nouveau banc de sable. Pour tenter de se désensabler, on transfère passagers et paquets sur un autre bateau, sans grand succès

Halte entre Bhamo et Sinkan

Deux jours à cause des bancs de sable, avec arrêt impromptu pour la nuit dans un village, Sinkan. Soirée fortement arrosée à la Myanmar Beer (Oui, je sais, c’est pas bien d’arroser la junte!) avec quelques villageois, sous le regard de plus en plus voilé au fil des libations d’un ancien militaire qui nous avait pris en affection et ne nous laissait jamais seul avec ses compatriotes. Nuit fraîche sur le bateau.

Le lendemain matin, le village est resté de longues heures noyé dans la brume, d’où surgissaient de fantômatiques carrioles tirées par des chevaux et la procession des moines cherchant l’aumône.
