As Katya, you’re in a bit of a high-pressure situation in Kuros. Someone has been tampering with the glyphstones that keep the world in balance, and you’re the only one who can restore them. Unfortunately, you’ve woken up with no idea of who you are, where you are, or what you’re supposed to be doing. Hope you’re a fast learner, or it’s the end of everything.

Kuros bills itself as a hidden object game, but that’s a bit misleading. You will have to scour locations for items, but they’re the tools you’ll need to solve the game’s many puzzles, so it’s more like a classic adventure game.

The most important items you need to find are map pieces; you can’t proceed to a new location until you track down all ten bits of the map that will lead you there. You can also find chromatic lenses that will reveal hidden items in a location, but even more valuably, they’ll tell you when you’ve found everything there is to find in a particular level. Several of Katya’s quests will have her searching multiple locations for a particular set of items, and knowing when to move on is extremely helpful. Scrying orbs will give you a pass on puzzles, but like the chromatic lenses, they’re quite rare – use them wisely.

In her travels to save Kuros, the world where the glyphs are kept, Katya will travel through five elemental lands: wood, fire, water, ice, and metal. Given that the world’s in danger, you’d think that the guardians of those lands would be eager to help Katya on her quest, but they all want something in exchange for their assistance. You’ll have to find ten seeds scattered throughout the wood land, figure out how to forge an orichalcum rod, restore life to a field of wilted metal lilies, just to name a few.

Some of the tasks are simple fetch quests, but most require some amount of puzzle solving, and this is where Kuros really shines. The puzzles are varied, both in type and in difficulty, colorful and clever. Whether you’re reconnecting pipes, guiding a ball through a maze, or figuring out the correct pattern of crystals, the puzzles of Kuros are never boring or repetitious.

Your final task before leaving a land is restoring its glyphstone. After you clear away the detritus that surrounds it, you’ll have to complete the inscription carved into its face by figuring out the pattern of symbols. This is the one area of Kuros that may frustrate some players. The patterns are logical, but if you can’t tune into the particular sense that they make, this part of the game can be a bit of a roadblock. The glyph puzzles can be solved just with trial and error, but they reset after three wrong guesses, so it’s faster to try and figure it out the proper way.

Kuros has smart puzzles, gorgeous graphics, amusing characters and decent voice acting. It’s a wonderfully entertaining journey and it’s over far, far too quickly. If you’re a puzzle aficionado, or a hidden object pro, you’ll be done in just three hours. Katya drops some heavy hints about a sequel, which I can only hope come to fruition; it feels like Kuros barely scratches the surface of its potential. You’re given a wand and a scepter, but hardly have to use them at all. There could have been more puzzles in each elemental land, too – it feels as though you’ve just gotten to later levels, like the library, when it’s time for you to go.

Hopefully we’ll have a chance to join forces with Katya again sometime. For now, this delicious appetizer of a game will just have to do.

Vamos a establecer definiciones primero:

SWEEPS

Hay tres momentos puntuales durante cada temporada que son vitales: los sweeps rating que pueden traducirse como barridos de audiencia.

Durante los meses de noviembre, febrero y mayo, la Nielsen Media Research realiza una medición exhaustiva de la audiencia de todas las cadenas de televisión en Estados Unidos, las nacionales y las locales. Es en esos momentos específicos cuando se mide la audiencia televisiva real. Los resultados obtenidos sirven para establecer las tarifas publicitarias que las cadenas podrán negociar durante el trimestre posterior con los anunciantes. De las audiencias que obtengan durante esos “barridos” depende la cantidad de anunciantes interesados en contratar sus espacios publicitarios y lo más importante: el precio del minuto.

La elección de los meses para hacer los sweeps no es azarosa. La temporada de las series empieza a mediados de septiembre, así que el primer sweep que se realiza en Noviembre permite valorar la aceptación de las series nuevas y la respuesta de las series que retornan. El sweep de febrero mide la aceptación de las series estrenadas en la Midseason, cómo evolucionan las estrenadas en otoño y cómo se mantienen las veteranas. Y el último sweep que se realiza en mayo proporciona una visión global que permite establecer la evolución de la audiencia durante la temporada completa, saber qué series se consolidan y cuáles decaen, estableciendo las estrategias de la cadena de cara a la temporada siguiente.

Así que lo que determina los picos dramáticos, los grandes giros, la inclusión de episodios dobles, episodios especiales, crossovers, cliffhangers de infarto y apariciones estelares en los episodios de una temporada no es un paradigma creativo. Es una estructura diseñada para que éstos coincidan con los períodos en que se realizarán los sweeps. Lo siento si he roto un poco la magia.

Ahora vamos a lo que nos ocupa. Llámenme “escéptico”, porque no encuentro otra manera de traducir eficazmente la palabra “cynical” (ya he hablado de eso antes, pero no lo linquearé).

¿Por qué?

My Agency and Russian Love Match

I was at the agency today and decided I should post about my experience there. I look forward to my time there. I is so exciting when I first go on the site and see the new emails from men. I have talked with men from all over the world and it is a truley amazing experience. Some of the men are very nice and there are one or two of them that I look forward to very much receiving their emails. There are other men who do not know what they want sometimes, and that can make things difficult. If the man is not serious in his intentions or does not know yet what he wants for his life and his future this is why it is hard to find the right one.

This is the second agency for me. I left the last mariage agency because I did not have good experiences there. I will not name the bad agency and web sight company I do not want to be rude or disrespectful. They offered a very different experience. This agency is much better than others because they actually make sure that I am comfortable talking with men. They don’t write emails for me like other services and if a man wants to visit me then it is my choice to meet, not theirs. If I don’t wnt to meet a man no one hassle me, it is only between me and the man if we want to meet or not. I can come and go when I please, no one in agency tells me what to do or where to be. It gives me the power to be in charge of my own destiny and search to find happiness.

My agency now gives me free access to Zolushka dot net and the men I talk to are using RussianLoveMatch.com. I read and write all my own emails and they have translators in the office for help if I struggle with any words or understanding. I really enjoy the chatting at my current agency. One of the best parts is before men would always say “Those pictures are not you. You are scammer. This site is SCAM!” but on RussianLoveMatch I can show I am real. I sit in front of the camera and the men writing me can see that I am a real woman. Many of them ask if I am real, which is very funny. Am I real? Well here I am!

It has taken me some time to catch up with friends but I now have a blog. Hello everyone!! ))))) My name is Ekaterina and I live in a flat in Kiev while I attend university. I am 20 years old, almost finished to get my degree and have one sister who lives with me and a cat named Sunny. My day is usually filled with studying, seeing friends, and going to my marriage agency to see who is new and see who has sent me mail. It is a lot of fun and I hope that I can meet someone there soon.
I enjoy cooking, singing and dancing. I would like to someday take up photography as a hobby maybe in the future when I have more time and have finished my studies. Saying hello to everyone- Hello world!
