Champagne Bakery is a bakery that makes all sorts of sweet and savory foods that are baked into a buttery dinner roll.  You can get anything from BBQ Pork, Red Bean, Taro, to Green Onion with Dried Pork.  They also have various other baked items for sale, but this place is known for their buttery rolls filled with meat and other sweet bean pastes.  I can’t say that I’m that big of a fan of this place because although the stuff they make is good, it falls short of it’s competitors, such as Kawaii Bakery, 85 degrees, etc.

Don’t get me wrong, if you are in this specific area of Westminster, you might as well go in and grab some stuff to eat because a lot of the stuff they have is very affordable and worth your money.  Many of the baked rolls here come in at around $1.20 each, and if you buy 3, you usually get the 4th one free (this applies to almost all the rolls).

My definite most favorite here would have to be the BBQ pork roll.  It’s hard to mess this up, but even in it’s simplicity, it tastes so good.  Another favorite of mine here also is Red Bean Paste.  This place doesn’t cheap out on it’s filling because I remember almost spilling the filling on my shirt.  Taro is definitely a winner here also.

This place also sells Taro balls as well, which is basically taro wrapped by a light coating of flour and baked.  It’s good, but Kawaii makes their version a lot better.

Although it pails in comparison to such places like Kawaii, it’s by no means a bad place to stop by and pick something up because they offer endless variety at such a good price.  I mean at $1.20 for a roll filled with BBQ pork is not a bad deal at all.
