We just got off the phone with Obama Girl (real name Amber Lee Ettinger) who has millions of fans that were generated by the videos she put out on her YouTube channel.

She is most famous for this video, posted in June 2007 (early in Obama’s campaign). “I Got A Crush on Obama” has been viewed 11 million times:

MJ: What was your first reaction to Obama’s win last night?

OG: I think I’m worn out from the amount of excitement that has been going on in the past 24 hours. Last night I held an evet at [new New York City restaurant/lounge] Haven. I was doing so many interviews when I got there, but I finally started paying attention to the screens. Then he won. I started screaming, bawling my eyes out. I didn’t expect it at that moment . It was unbelievable. I was in shock because I didn’t feel we would find out that quickly. I was bawling with tears of joy.

MJ: I heard Times Square was mahem, did you get to experience the excitement there?

OG: I did. It was just awesome! I was interviewing tourists. They didn’t understand what was going on, but they were just like, “This is great!”

MJ: What is next for Obama girl?

OG: I’m going to keep working with Barely Political. Regardless. I don’t think we are going to come out with anything too quickly… we are going to keep the focus on [Obama]. I think we are going to put together a montage.

MJ: You mentioned wanting to get a note from Obama’s camp- what would you ideally like it to say?

OG: I just feel like, doing these videos, when I did the first one, it was early on in his campaign and it ended up lasting this whole time. I get a lot of credit for getting him attention early on. I always took it lightly because he was just such a great candidate. But, I think a little note would be nice. Maybe something like, “Thanks for doing the videos. Thanks for your time.” I would be completely content with.

MJ: What, to you, are the most important issues Obama follows up with?

OG: The economy and the war. Definitely. The economy affects everyone differently but it affects us all. My Dad was in the Army. He was a Vietnam vet. I don’t want it to go on anymore. I’m tired of it. I hope he can straighen it out. It’s a big deal to me.

MJ: Are you working on anything else?

Besides doing Obama Girl stuff, I’m working on an album [called "Queen of the Web"]. There are already two songs on iTunes. I’m also working on a jewelry line with my mom called “Inspired by Amber.”

MJ: Will fans of yours be able to buy your jewelry online?

OG: We are definitely going to start selling on the internet. But I have meetings with department stores in New York as well. My mom has been a collector of vintage clothing for 30 years. She started this line when I was 3. I used to help her pick out beads then she stopped doing it. She’s always been my inspiration all my life so I inspired her to start doing it again. This one is a dream come true to be able to do this with her. She deserves a lot of credit. She is an amazing woman.

We stepped out to celebrate our homeboy Indashio’s new show Glam God on VH1, hosted by Vivica A. Fox at the members-only spot Norwood in New York City.

Norwood’s owner graciously gave the cast the screening room for the evening.

Twelve stylists from all walks of life move into an L.A. loft to compete for the coveted title of GLAM GOD. At stake: representation by a major styling agency, a celebrity spread in US MAGAZINE, and $100,000. In this first episode, they meet their host, actress Vivica A. Fox, along with her glam panel of judges, US WEEKLY Bureau Chief Melanie Bromley, and celebrity stylist Phillip Bloch. After viewing highlights from their portfolios, Vivica and her glam panel select four team leaders for their first challenge: “Who wore it best?” Each team must create a red carpet moment using identical designer dresses. By the end of the night, two stylists will be eliminated from the competition and sent home.

After the premiere, we all headed over to hotspot 1Oak to celebrate the first episode!

Tuesday nights at gay bar Barracuda in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City are becoming the new hot spot for celebrities to hop on stage and show New Yorkers what is inside their vocal chords.

We’ve seen Danity Kane’s Aubrey O’Day perform, as well as supermodel Lydia Hearst…

This week, many stars came out to support America’s Next Top Model winner Jaslene Gonzalez including Sean Stewart (son of Rod Stewart and brother to Los Angeles socialtard Kimberly Stewart), Brittny Gastineau, the girls of Girlicious and homegirl Aubrey O’Day.

Jaslene looks gorgeous even when she’s singing!

Jaslene is one of our close friends. You know why we love her?

Because she’s real!

Last night your favorite blogger attended the Casio G-Shock 25th Anniversary celebration, and boy was it a PARTY!

The red carpet was glitzy with waitresses all over serving drinks and hors d’oeuvres that were delish!

We saw a bunch of our favorite people in New York City last night at the Casio party including Eli Mizrahi, men about town Scott Bucheit and Naeem Delbridge, OK! Magazine’s Ali Pulti (our new coworker! Love it!), designer Matt Levine, Mary Park from Us Weekly, Fuerte Group’s Allison Hales, MTV VJ Quddus, Tenjune owners Mark Birnbaum and Eugene Remm, the DJ of the night DJ Cassidy and his amazing sidekick Marvin Bastien, as well as O’Neil McKnight who asked us to be involved with their next project!

………….Then the main event began!

An intimate performance by Kanye West.

It was major!

He performed many of his hit songs including “Flashing Lights,” “Through The Wire” and “Gold Digger” and even brought out topless dancers with moon helmets for shock appeal!

And the appeal worked — we were shocked! In the best way possible!

On our way out of the event we picked up a VIP gift bag (briefcase style) that had a G-Shock Watch, CD, and t-shirt.

We then headed to the Nylon Magazine party celebrating Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively on the cover at Amalia in the Dream Hotel. There we ran into way more favorites of ours including: Leven Rambin and boyfriend Drew, Michelle Davidson (from Shadow PR), America’s Next Top Model’s Jaslene Gonzales, Lizzie Grubman’s Kelly Brady, Quddus again, publicist Tyler Burrow and many, many more!

We somehow missed running into new Gossip Girl stars Lydia Hearst and Michelle Trachtenberg, but they were in attendance – looking gorgeous as always!

On Saturday night, your favorite blogger (yes, us!!) and our friend Alli hit up the Stoli Hotel event on Houston and West St. to celebrate Vanity Fair.

The music was provided by our homeboy DJ Cassidy [picture]- the absolute best DJ in NYC. We hung out with Cassidy and his assistant, Marvin, in the DJ booth for a good portion of the evening.

As we were leaving the event we were confronted by one of our fans, Martha! She was so excited to meet us and we were even more excited to meet her! She said that it was such a coincidence meeting me in person because just this week she came across MICAHJESSE.COM. It’s so exciting when people recognize us from our little ‘ole blog in person and tell us how much they love what we’re doing.

From there we met up with our girlies from OK! Magazine, Shauna Bass and Ali Puliti, at brand spankin’ new hotspot Origine on Spring St. between Lafayette and Crosby.

The place isn’t even open yet and the crowd was totally hot. We love this new spot!

From there, we stopped by Upstairs (95 Spring St. @ Broadway) just down the street for a quick second to say hello to our good friend Matt Levine who had a table with Lizzie Grubman publicist Kelly Brady.

Then, we stopped by Meatpacking district hotspot Tenjune (Little W. 12th between 9th and Washington) so we could dance the night away.

We sat at owner Eugene Remm and Mark Birnbaum’s table.

Well…. we didn’t really sit that much:

This night was totally memorable!

Last night we went out with the gorgeous and sweet Danielle Fishel (who you’ll remember from the hit TV show Boy Meets World) and our buddy Cole Bernard to a T-Mobile Sidekick/Grammy Artists event at Webster Hall, where Missy Elliot and Busta Rhymes performed.

It was so much fun!

Inside the event we ran into our friend Danyelle Vilmenay who was a model on Project Runway seasons 1 and 2, and is now a DJ! She goes by the name of DJ Tyger Lilly (check out her Myspace here: click click)! Try having the hottest (looks AND talent) DJ at your event… if you want her booking information, we’d be glad to give it to you!

After the concert, we took Danielle home and headed to Pink Elephant where we ran into so many of our favorite New Yorkers: Ardie Fuqua, Matt Levine (thanks for the cashmere sweater!!!), Kelly Brady, Bernie Marshall, Bobby Rossi, David Marino, Ben Grieff, Alex Stern, Zev Norotsky, and so many more.
