<title><![CDATA[Mass. College Lax: Lynch Leads Springfield Past Mass. Maritime, 15-4 ]]></title>

<p>Courtesy of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy sports information department, here&#8217;s this afternoon&#8217;s release from the men&#8217;s lacrosse game:</p>
<blockquote><p><b>SPRINGFIELD, Mass.</b> &#8212;  Junior <b>Ryon Lynch</b> (Frederick, Md.) netted a pair of goals and two assists to lead Springfield to a 15-4 Pilgrim Lacrosse League victory over Massachusetts Maritime Saturday afternoon at Stagg Field.</p>
<p>The host Pride (5-7, 3-0 Pilgrim) scored all 10 goals in the opening half of play to take control of the contest, including a pair of man-up markers off the stick of sophomore <b>Bryce Serriello</b>, and after freshman <b>C.J. Hanson</b> (Melrose, Mass.) got the visiting Buccaneers (2-8, 0-3 Pilgrim) on the board 4:34 after intermission with a man-up marker, Springfield tallied four more scores, including Lynch’s second of the day, to ice its triumph.</p>
<p>Senior <b>Jon Santer</b> (East Longmeadow, Mass.) added a pair of tallies in the victory for Springfield, which also received two goals and an assist each from junior <b>Matt Fleisher</b> (Franklin Lakes, N.J.) and freshman <b>Brendan Boss</b> (West Springfield, Mass.).  Junior <b>Kevin Freeman</b> (Minisink, N.Y.) also netted two goals on the day for the Pride, who also received a marker and two assists from sophomore <b>Kevin Sainte</b> (Belmont, Mass.) as well as a tally and helper from freshman <b>Tony LaGuerre</b> (Shrub Oak, N.Y.).  Junior <b>Connor Nash</b> (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) also scored in the win for the hosts, who also received assists from junior <b>Devin Abad</b> (East Longmeadow, Mass.) and sophomores <b>Jamey Conley</b> (Waltham, Mass.) and <b>Matt Dalton</b> (Somers, N.Y.).</p>
<p>Hanson tallied twice in the setback for Massachusetts Maritime, which also received goals from freshmen <b>Matthew Montuori</b> (Framingham, Mass.) and <b>Pat Clifford</b> (Norwood, Mass.) as well as single assists off the sticks of sophomore <b>Drew Prowse</b> (Wakefield, Mass.) and freshman <b>Anthony Kurylak</b> (Rye, N.Y.).  Junior <b>Robert Maher</b> (Katonah, N.Y.) picked up the win in goal for Springfield with four first half saves, while junior <b>Kevin MacBride</b> (Merrick, N.Y.) and freshman <b>Kevin Ostrom</b> (Barnstable, Mass.) combined for three second half stops for the hosts.  Junior <b>Paul Painten</b> (Walpole, Mass.) made 18 saves through the first three quarters of action for Massachusetts Maritime, which received four fourth quarter stops from freshman <b>James Klose</b> (Ellicott City, Md.) as the Pride outshot the Buccaneers by a 56-22 margin for the contest while holding a 19-3 advantage in face-offs on the day.</p>
<p>Massachusetts Maritime travels to Cobleskill, N.Y. on Monday afternoon to take on SUNY-Cobleskill in a non-league match that begins at 4:00 p.m., while Springfield travels to Worcester, Mass. on Wednesday evening to take on Clark in a Pilgrim Lacrosse League outing beginning at 7:00 p.m.</p></blockquote>
