Phil hopped a ride in one of those yellow trucks you see on the sand to find out what it’s like to be a lifeguard.

We found Mike Morales, who owns Harmony Works, an eclectic art shop right across the street from us. Mike is the President of the Riviera Business improvement District and a bit of a historian.

He told us the name “Hollywood Riviera” came shortly after 1927 when Clifford Reid purchased a little more than 600 acres of land here.
