<title><![CDATA[Hiker Falls to Her Death]]></title>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Easter was a wonderful day for a walk in the woods. The Indian Fort Trail seems like a really nice, safe hike with a few pretty good views at the top. Just the kind of place I was looking to go hiking with my dog actually, and I even met a few people hiking with their dogs (as you&#8217;ll see in the story).</p>

<p>But this story appears to be about a simple accident &#8212; the kind of unthinking mistakes we all make sometimes &#8212; this one just happened to be fatal.</p>
<p>A 20-year-old girl went hiking along with a friend&#8230; and only one came back.</p>

<p>Sean Evans (WKYT in Lexington) showed up to the trail around the same time as I did on Sunday, with the same story in mind.  So, together, we hiked about 2 miles through the woods, each wearing a dress shirt and a tie, and carrying cameras. I also had a tripod on my back, and was wearing dress shoes (I thought I was going to be doing a church story that morning). We got a lot of funny looks on the trail that day. Sad story, but an enjoyable hike.</p>
