A veces no entiendo a las personas . . . porque tratan de imitar franquicias ganadoras, sino ponen el empeño absoluto para mejorarlas o por lo menos hacer un trabajo digno. Este es el caso de King of Fighters The Movie, filme que se basa en la famosa serir de arcade y que para nuestra mala suerte sera llevada a la pantalla grande. Que lastima, otra que se pierde en el camino.

Despues de ver el trailer no sabia si llora, vomitar o sentir pena por semejante pedazo de popo que hicieron, la saga The King of Fighters es una de las mas importantes en el genero de las peleas, lo cual a los realizadores de la movie no les importo. Realmente no se qué esperar de algo así, por lo visto en el video, Ray Park (Snake Eyes en G.I. JOE) parece ser el malo de la película, échenle un ojo y dejen sus comentarios sobre sus expectativas de este filme, siéntanse libres de expresar lo primero que se les venga a la mente al terminar de ver el trailer.

Die King of Fighters Reihe ist eine Kampfspielreihe von SNK (Neo Geo). Wenn man sich mit dem Spiel nicht beschäftigt, stempelt man es schnell als Street Fighter Klon ab. Die Kenner können darüber nur lachen, hat doch King of Fighters selbst einige Standards gesetzt im Genre (z. B. 3-gegen-3-Fights). Also das Spiel ist gut keine Frage, aber was der Film soll weiß man nicht. Das wirkt alles so mittelmäßig, braucht kein Mensch. Nicht mal Maggie Q (Stirb Langsam 4) kann da noch was retten. Nicht mal als Trash kann man den Film gebrauchen, dass sieht man schon am Trailer. Schade!

Alle die sich über die Spiele schlau machen möchten, einfach mal klicken. Unglaublich wie viel Teile da schon erschienen sind.

Literalmente casi me saco un ojo al ver este trailer. ¿Qué demonios están pensando cuando Mai Shiranui se pone a pelear con un bote de basura?. Pero la peor parte fue ver a Rugal, un alemán de al menos 1.90 de estatura rubio y bien maldito representado por un enano que aunque sabe dar patadas no es un Alemán de 1.90 que organiza uno de los torneos más importantes de la historia.

¿Que de plano cuando hicieron Gandhi dijeron? “Ah, John Candy, vas a ser perfecto para el papel. Me huelo hasta un óscar gordito.”

Esta será otra de las películas que ningún fan va a ir a ver o simplemente va a comprarla pirata. El talento de estas personas para arruinar proyectos con más de 10 años de planeación en cuanto a la trama (¿porqué demonios no usaron la historia de Orochi en lugar de esta con algo ya probado y que les permitiría al menos sacar una trilogía en lugar de esta porquería que llaman película? no lo sé) haría que la industría del porno se fuera a la quiebra (si ese fuera su trabajo).

El trailer salió el 25 de noviembre, pero aquí en cinecinecine teníamos ya las primeras escenas desde por octubre. Algo bien curioso. El 90% es casi lo mismo. Lo que significa dos cosas:

a)     Que las mejores escenas son esas y mejor no gasten su dinero ya que vieron lo mejorcito.

b) Que de plano se rindieron y no les importa si pega o no.

“The King of fighters” puede fácilmente llegar a ser la peor película del siguiente año.

Hoje temos o trailer promocional de Cannes para a adaptação do best-selling video game japonês chamado “King of Fighters”, estrelado por Maggie Q (Live Free or Die Hard), Sean Faris (Never Back Down) e Ray Park (X-Men , GI Joe, a série Heroes). Confira abaixo.

Sinopse: Os últimos descendentes dos três clãs lendários são continuamente transportados para outras dimensões para testar suas habilidades em artes marciais contra uma força do mal que pretende invadir e infectar o mundo real.

O filme de 12 milhões de dólares tinha sido definido para estréiar nos cinemas durante o outono deste ano, mas agora o plano é que ele seja lançado apenas em 2010.

Pra mim, parece mais um daqueles filmes que só tem porradaria e não tem uma história legal e envolvente. Adaptação de jogos de video-game não dão certo.

SNKs Beat ‘em up-klassiker KoF, eller King of Fighters, blev en av Neo-Geos stora dragplåster. För den som inte kommer ihåg TV-spelskonsolen så kan jag påminna om att denna monstermaskin i början av 90-talet kostade 8000 kr när den kom och en enda spelkassett 2000 kr. Dessutom ställdes den ut i arkadhallarna. 

King of Fighters - Beat 'em up-bruden Mai

När TV- och datorspelen var nya talade man illa om Filmlicensspel. Idag talar man illa om TV-licensfilmer. Nej tack, inte ännu en film som “Street Fighter” eller “Mortal Kombat” tack. Beat ‘em up-spel blir aldrig bra film, inte ens hyfsad. Men med en kall stout kommer jag nog att se den så småningom, i soffan framför TVn. Kanske ett par schyssta fighter, och dessutom finns faktiskt en ljuspunkt med i bilden … Maggie Q. 

Filmeländet är planerad till premiär någon gång under 2010.

เมื่อ King Of Fighters เกมส์ต่อสู้แบบ 2D สุดมันส์ในยุค 90 จากค่าย SNK ที่โด่งดังพอ ๆ กับ Street Fighter ที่ชิงทำเป็นภาพยนตร์ไปก่อนถึง 2 เวอร์ชั่นด้วยกัน และบัดนี้ King Of Fighters ก็ได้ฤกษ์โดดขึ้นจอเงินกับเขาบ้าง โดยงานนี้ได้ผู้กำกับฮ่องกง Gordon Chan ผู้กำกับฮ่องกงอีกคนที่ไปโชว์ฝีไม้ลายมือในฮอลลีวู๊ดเหมือนกัน จากเรื่อง The Medallion มารับหน้าที่เกมส์แอ๊คชั่นสุดมันส์ให้มีชีวิตจริงๆ โดยได้ดาราสาวเชื้อสายเอเชีย Maggie Q มาแสดงนำ ในบท Mai Shiranui พร้อมทั้งนักแสดงอย่าง Sean Faris ในบท Kyo Kusanagi, Will Yun Lee ในบท Iori Yagami , David Leitch ในบท Terry Bogard และอีกมากมาย!!

ผมได้นำตัวอย่างจากภาพยนตร์ที่โชว์ลีลาแอ๊คชั่นกันสนั่นจอ เลยทีเดียว โดยอาศัยท่าต่าง ๆ ในเกมส์มาใช้ในภาพยนตร์ได้น่าดูครับ ชวนให้นึกถึงภาพยนตร์ที่สร้างจากเกมส์อีกหนึ่งเรื่องนั่นคือ D.O.A: Dead or Alive ของผู้กำกับ Corey Yuen นั่นเอง!!

Fanaticos del cine hay veces que deseo que el trailer el cual estoy viendo sea un “fake” (falso) y esta es una de esas veces.

Aqui les dejo el trailer de lo que podria ser la pelicula de uno de los videojuegos más famosos en cuanto a pelea se refiere “King of Fighters“.

La pelicula basa su historia en 3 clanes los cuales se reunen cada cierto tiempo en una dimensión fuera de lo común para dar los mejor de si y demostrar quien es el más fuerte, como siempre hay alguien que se cree mejor que los demas y rompe las reglas para demostrarlo.

Successful developers know the importance of designing their games differently from their contemporaries to give the gamers a unique experience when they are playing them. It is not always necessary to change the theme of the game radically just because someone else has used a similar one (if that was the case then games like Tekken, Soul Calibur, Mortal Kombat etc would not have seen any success after the one vs. one fighting theme was established by King of Fighters, Street Fighter etc.)

Dog Wars might not be able to provide you with an experience that is one of a kind but it would definitely be able to give you a fun time that would make you come back for more.

Objective of the Game
The objective of the game is best summarized by the content of the info section provided by the developers “Become a dog, give yourself a name, choose a breed, and work your way up to become Facebook’s top dog!”. Those who are put off by the unusual nature of the objective and decide that they have other applications they rather spend their idle time in than becoming a dog would be missing out a treat.

The Good

1) The whole concept of the game smells of freshness. Just think of a game that revolves around being a dog and turning yourself into a formidable creature with spell casting abilities and the skill to use dangerous equipments making the usage of fangs a thing of the past.

2) Many of the features of this game are inspired from the insanely famous game of Warcraft and another version of the game that is known as Defense of the Ancients or DOTA. You have items that give you evasive capabilities, damage boost, defense boost, etc. You also get recipes that allow you to combine items to forge more powerful ones and super rare items that give you huge upgrades in stats.

3) Different breeds of dogs that vary from each other in strength, agility and intelligence are at display to choose from. This gives you the unique chance of choosing and becoming the mutt of your choice and train to turn it into the ultimate pooch. The dogs have different primary attributes which get free boosts every time the dog levels up. All of these combined make choosing of the dog a very interesting part of the game.

4) The items and spells that the dogs use to fight each other are hilarious and yet cool. I taught my character to use lightning and sunbeam to deal damage to enemies during fights and as far as I see even more formidable yet funny ones are coming up as I level up.

5) The inclusion of evasive capabilities and damage boosters by varying factors mean that a lot of complicated calculation must be done before you can determine the true attack and damage of an opponent. There are items that reflect back the damage and also ones that multiply damage by some factor based on the difference of level or stat of the different dogs (I found this one especially intriguing).  This ensures that one has the chance to take on other players at higher levels if he/she has the right items and strategy.

6) The substitutions of the necessary components of similar games with things that would make sense if you were a dog have been done with some wise thinking. For example, the concepts of virtual money needed to buy the items have been replaced by bones and biscuits and the idea of having a bank to store the money has been replaced by dig sites where you dig a hole and hide your bones.

7) The explanations of how the abilities and attributes contribute to the fight have been kept simple yet effective.

The Bad
1) Each energy point is restored after every 3 minutes and this waiting can get boring once you get to higher level missions that require a lot of energy.

2) The explanations beside every attribute and beside certain items make the pages look messy at times and it can be corrected easily by putting relevant help files beside each attribute and items.

3) Color scheme and choice of fonts could have been better.

4) The complex calculation of damage (Base damage + Spell Damage + Equipment Damage + Damage Boost from Potions + Extra Damage due to Alliance) and defense (Base Defense + Defensive Spells + Defense from Equipments + Bonus Defense Received from Allies + Bonus Defense due to Potions + Health Rejuvenation Potions etc) might go over the head of casual users who would be left baffled thinking how they lost to a seemingly easier foe.

The Ending

It is a fun game and the learning curve is relatively low. With only 32, 000 users and an average rating of 3.9, I am sad to say that the game deserves a lot more and that the critics have been too harsh in judging it. You should definitely give this game a shot. Try it -Dog Wars

-Después del UNLIMITED-EPIC-FAIL que resultó ser la película Live Action de Dragon Ball (Evolution), pocos son lo que aún mantienen fe en las adaptaciones norteamericanas de series de anime y videojuegos japoneses. Tras lo ocurrido con DB, le siguió Street Figther con una versión de la vida de Chun-li que compartió similar suerte, y ahora, ya cercanos al fin del año, fue anunciada la adaptación cinematográfica de la legendaria saga de juegos de lucha The King Of Fighters, cinta que amenaza con llevarse la presea de la “peor película Live Action de toda la historia”, lo cuál dice mucho, si tomamos en cuenta el calibre de sus competidores, citando entre estos a Las tortugas Ninja 3, Super Mario Brothers, la primera SF con Raúl Julia (pese a que siento un cierto aprecio por ésta), Dragon Ball Involution, ente tantas otras que prefiero no recordar.

¿Qué es lo que hace a esta película TAN mala? Pues,  comencemos con que el protagonista se llama Kyo KASANAGI (si, kAsanagi), que junto con Iori Yagami y Mai ShAranui son enviados a una dimensión distinta para luchar por sus vidas en un despiadado torneo de luchadores inter-dimensionales organizado por el maléfico Rugal. Por si esto fuera poco, Kyo es un espadachín místico que lanza llamas desde la punta de su espada, Iori es un jugador de Jockey y Mai no tiene implantes (lejos, el mayor fraude de todo). También salen otros personajes interesantes como Terry Bogard, que parece un viejo de 50 años y además es policía, o algo por el estilo.

Los diseños de personajes son un insulto. Resulta IMPOSIBLE saber quien es quien si en el trailer del video no salieran los nombres mal redactados abajo. Iori es…cualquier cosa, Mai no tiene ni la más mínima similitud y Terry es una aberración para la humanidad. Pequeña salvedad a esto constituyen las representaciones de Mature y Vice, que salvan solo por la belleza de las actrices que interpretan sus papeles.

El concepto de la historia es un RIP-OFF descarado de Mortal Kombat (tanto así que ya me imagino a Kyo arrancándole la espina dorsal a alguien) y salvo ciertos detalles interesantes como que el logo  es sospechosamente similar al utilizado en la primera película de SF,  no quedan muchas cosas que decir al respecto, más que incitar a todos los lectores a NO ASISTIR a las salas de cine durante el día del estreno, incluso si sólo van a reírse. No la arrienden en BlockBuster, es más, ni siquiera la descarguen. No le den la satisfacción a esos desgraciados de Hollywood de ver su porquería, y menos aún que reciban dinero por destruir conceptos tan significativos para algunos de nosotros como son SF, DB o el mismo que aquí nos convoca.

Today i was enticed into Gamestation Cambridge, purely because i saw through the window “deal of the week” Bioshock on 360 for £9.99. Really been wanting to play this game for a while now, so i jumped at the chance to a get a cheap copy.

On my way out i noticed Final Fantasy X, in the used PS2 “3 for £10 section”, intrigued i went over, and look what i found:

This is one of those games, that i’ve wanted to play for a long time, but have never really gone looking for it as i’ve always been happy playing King Of Fighters 2000-2001. This one though i really had to have as I love the artwork on the cover.

King of fighters XI, now to find this game online is sometimes difficult, infact now there are only a couple for sale on Ebay. So to say i was in shock to see it there is an understatement, needless to say i bought it, and better still i had Gamestation clean it (for free, oh yes). Needless to say i purchased for £3.97.

Bioshock, XBOX 360 – £9.99
King of fighters XI, PS2 -£3.97

For once, i am happy with Gamestation.

Mystical warrior wizard of the cat world. Created in a pixel art style like The Capcom and SNK Fighting games like Street Fighter 2, King of Fighters, Marvel Super Heroes.

When it comes to movies based on fighting  games, the track record is not good. In keeping with that theme I recently heard about the KOF casting choices and realized this was another fighting flick destined to fail miserably. Have a look at the footage and decide for yourself.

The King of Fighters directed by Gordon Chan, who directed the Jet Li martial arts classic Fist of Legend. Here is some of the cast:

Desde que comecei a botar essas notícias sobre os filmes de jogos dificilmente vem algo bom e acaba que por causa disso é quase certo que essas postagens vão trazer más notícias. Unbelievable but true: For the first time you can really win something on Goh Notes.  If you’re interested in 2D fighters, in particular in The King of Fighters series, listen up.

As I’ve finished the review of The King of Fighters XII for a German game magazine (yes, the game just got out here), I thought why not giving away SNK Playmore’s newest 2D-fighter for free.

It’s one of those promotional copies that game testers receive way before the game gets officially released in retail stores. This copy cannot be resold. As you can see in the pictures, a big bold “promo copy” claim adorns the game disc and game box. Apart from that, it’s of couse a fully working Xbox 360 version of The King of Fighters XII. PAL version, though. So non-European players beware.

Important: You have to pay the shipping charges. Costs may vary depending on where you live. In any case, I’ll be shipping the game from Germany. (PayPal may be the most straightforward and safest way for this kind of transaction.)

‘Meh’.

That popular internet meme pretty much sums up my review of King of Fighters 12 - the latest iteration of the seemingly endless King of Fighters series – which is now online at Gameslave.

I found it to a be a pretty, if shallow, addition to the series, but fanboys should be warned, if you’re expecting the variety of characters and stages that usual come in a KoF box, you could be seriously disappointed.

Here’s a trailer for the game- watch this, then read the review, and admire the skills of the PR and advertising department at SNK. They could sell ice to an Eskimo…

Eu sou completamente contra videogames que viram filmes. Acho mais provável que um brinquedo se transforme em algo decente no cinema do que utilizar conceitos que deram certo em consoles. Tanto que quando alguém fala de alguma versão de God of War ou qualquer outro jogo que eu goste para os cinemas, chego a ter pesadelos, e vídeos como esse abaixo justificam tudo isso.

Bizarro é pouco para definir esse Behind The Scenes de King of Fighters, com destaque para o momento em que uma das atrizes compara de forma estúpida o filme com o clássico Clube da Luta. Herege dos infernos! Uma curiosidade: Ray Park consegue ser mais tosco como Rugal do que como o carinha com facas na nova temporada de Heroes. E na época de Episódio I o cara ainda reclamaram que o cara teve poucas falas como Darth Maul. Menos é mais, gente.

Para ter alguma coisa de bom nesse post, lembro do único filme de videogame que realmente conseguiu captar a essência do jogo e ficou decente. Mortal Kombat, de 1995. Pena que foi um caso tão isolado que a continuação, Aniquilação (1998) é uma das piores coisas já feitas com uma câmera (apesar de ter uma luta entre Sub-Zero e Scorpion que vale um terço do ingresso).

Dirigida por Gordon Chan (El poder del talisman, Operación Trueno) nos llega la adaptación live action del videojuego clásico de The King of Fighters.

Según el director la historia se centra en “Kyo en su camino a convertirse en el Rey de los Luchadores”. En el medio aparecerán míticos personajes como Mai, Rugal, Terry Bogard, Chizuru y Ioiri Yagami, entre otros.

Aunque a decir verdad los personajes son muy diferentes en comparación al juego original.
