Hat hier ein Geschäftemacher einen guten Riecher gehabt oder stinkt die Sache bis zum Himmel? Wie die britische Tageszeitung „The Sun“ in ihrer Online-Ausgabe berichtet, bietet die amerikanische Firma „My DNA Fragrance“ ein Parfum mit Michael Jacksons Geruch an.

Den Duft will die Firma aus der DNA einer Haarlocke des verstorbenen Megastars gewonnen haben.
„Wir nutzen den genetischen Code, um unsere Parfums herzustellen“, so der Vorstandsvorsitzende Carlton Enoch zur „Sun“.

Neben Michael Jacksons Duft bietet das Unternehmen auch DNA-Pafums von Marilyn Monroe, Napoleon Bonaparte und dem britische König Edward IV an. Ihr Bestseller: Elvis Presley.

Crowned the King of Pop by his best friend Elizabeth Taylor, Michael Jackson has achieved and surpassed the accomplishments of those who inspired him, those who came before him. Inspired by  James Brown, Bill Bailey, Fred Astaire, and the Nicholas Brothers, Michael moulded their dance moves and made them his own. He combined his natural elements of song and dance to propel himself into superstardom. Along his way to the top he collected many awards documenting his prowess in entertainment, some of which can be found at the Michael Jackson Exhibition at the O2 Arena. Among the awards, include gold and platinum albums, the first platinum album awarded in 1969 when he was eleven.

The Exhibition chronicles the short life of the star. After experiencing a taste of Michael Jackson in concert on a large video screen,  the exhibition starts with the contract his father signed with the William Morris  Agency establishing his sons as the pop group The Jackson Five, which would later become The Jacksons. It continues with personal items from Michael’s life, including the Neverland Arch that led to the entrance of this former home in California. You can see cracked and chipped paint in his blue 1967 Rolls Royce Phantom that he took Elizabeth for rides in.

Props from his many cinematic music videos included the green rocket ship from “Leave me Alone,” the sleek black Gibson guitar used in the video “Scream” where he sang and danced along side his sister Janet, his Egyptian costume from his 1993 hit “Remember the Time” and the robot mask with protruding pieces from his film “Moonwalker.”

It’s widely known that Michael lived a life of extravagance. He lived like a king. His wardrobe, also featured at the exhibition,was often composed of  elaborate ensembles with arm bands in the colours of royalty,  accented with metals or insignias that hung from his chest like a decorated soldier. They were designed with the purpose of presenting Michael as a king. His collection often mimicked the uniforms of the royal guards of Her Majesty the Queen of England as well as the military uniforms of other countries. There are other times where his style was more futuristic, and can be described as experimental. Those were usually seen in costume at his many elaborate concerts.

Towards the end of the exhibition, props and clothing that were to be used at his final series of performances, This is It, were creatively placed in two sizeable rooms. In one room, the view of Michael’s massive and elaborate revision of the Thriller dance sequence brings back memories of his original music video. In the next area, a more modest room featured the costumes he would have changed into during his last performances, which included various versions of his trademark penny-loafers. Across from the costumes in a corner was a small thermos rotating inside of a glass case. The sign underneath stated that Michael’s children would pack his lunch inside of the thermos every day for him to take with him to rehearsals.

In the final room, a set of books with white pages were left for fans to leave their message for his family. Further along around a corner, a light shined on a solid square black pillar with a glass case on top. Inside the glass case was “the glove.” There were other versions of it that Michael wore, even in different colours to match his outfit, but this was the trademark white glove that he wore at the American Music Awards in 1984.

Adjacent to the black pillar was a quote in white printed against a black wall. The quote from Michael reflects his view on life which can be interpreted as an optimistic commentary on his own.

Michael Jackson’s This Is It is a tough film to review. Culled from rehearsal footage for his planned 50 shows at the 02 Arena in London, This Is It isn’t really a concert film nor is it a documentary offering an intimate look into the enigmatic entertainer. It’s more like an intimate peep. Nonetheless, watching Jackson prepare for what was sure to be an amazing concert is quite magical.

To call the show he was preparing a concert is almost an insult. It was going to be a spectacle like no one has ever experienced. Jackson was taking every amazing element from his prior tours and planning on topping them. If nothing else, this look in to his creative process shows a man who was supremely talented and ready to conquer the world for a final time.

Since his death, the outpouring of love and support for the singer has been overwhelming. Gone is the cynicism surrounding his eccentric lifestyle and allegations of molestation. People have embraced him for all the good he has created through his music, dancing and showmanship. They are celebrating a truly one of a kind entertainer who has touched the hearts and minds of countless individuals throughout his career. No matter how you stand on whether Michael Jackson was a misunderstood angel or whether he was a monster, it’s hard not to be in awe while watching him perform; even at half speed.

This Is It is essentially a documentary detailing the work that Jackson was putting into his final tour. You don’t walk away with any real sense of knowing who he truly is. The man behind the performer remains a mystery. The brief bits you do see in between performances of every hit song imaginable, portray a soft spoken, humble man who is also extremely confident in himself as an entertainer. He wants everything the way he wants it, but he gets people to do what he wants through kindness and support. There is not a trace of oversized ego in any of his words and for a man who has been proclaimed as the King of Pop, that is quite inspiring. It is clear that when Jackson performs, his major goal is to spread love, peace and happiness to the entire audience.

Kenny Ortega, the creative director of Jackson’s shows and also the creator of the High School Musical series, was hired to pull together all the rehearsal footage and make the movie and he has done a very proficient job. The film is structured like a concert in the sense that each song is performed in its entirety by splicing together various rehearsals. I can’t say enough how incredible it is to watch Jackson perform. Even while half heartedly going through the motions he is a powerful force of nature.

Ortega starts the film with brief interviews taken from dancers who were auditioning for the show. They all express their excitement of having the opportunity to audition and possibly work with Michael. Some of them tear up as they are expressing what Jackson means to them and how he helped transform their lives and it a powerful few minutes to say the very least. I dare you not to get goose bumps. The audition process is shown and it is almost like watching a season of So You Think You Can Dance in ten minutes.

My only real complaint about the film is that it is too long. It could’ve been a half hour shorter and been just as powerful and inspiring. Maybe for diehard fans of Jackson, the film doesn’t over stay its welcome, but for a casual fan or someone who is just curious to see the film, it can become slightly boring.

To sum it up, This Is It is an intimate look at what Jackson had planned for his shows and based on what I saw, they were going to be epic; the kind of concert that you remember for the rest of your life. Michael’s magic is on full display here and is hard to resist. Whether you are his biggest fan or his biggest detractor, it is impossible to watch this movie and not walk away with a sense of how great he truly was.

After watching this video…I just can’t believe this guy. By the time he found out Michael was dead he just couldn’t stay in his home. That is because something was wrong inside him, inside his mind and heart. He felt GUILTY! That’s why he had to go in front of a camera and say these words to the public. In this video you can see his face, he’s so shocked and confused by the news and the memory of the most inappropriate documentary he has ever done! His job in this documentary is the stupidest job I’ve ever seen. But the worst part came after. The real damage came after the documentary and Bashir didn’t care about the harm he did to Michael. I can’t believe that he got the chance to have a heart to heart conversation with Michael and he took all that and used it against the man who opened his soul, life and heart to him and even let him coexist with his children, Michael’s most valued treasures. Respectable people JUST DON’T DO THAT! Maybe for him it was just a game, but what Michael had to live and confront after…well, that was too hard for a game. It was  NOT a game and I knew that from the first time I saw the documentary, I noticed immediately how uncomfortable Michael was almost all the time during the interviews. And Bashir was such a coward that he acted one way when Michael was present and other way when he was alone, and used those moments to say things with double meanings about Michael. That was really frustrating and a massive attack to him. At the end, it is what it is right now and this confession he made after Michael passed away it’s just TOO LATE. Why didn’t he say this when Michael really needed it and when he was ALIVE????? Why he never said this right after the documentary if he thought somehow it was misunderstood? Hearing him saying these words now makes me want to scream and I don’t feel even a little respect for this person. He is just another person who took advantage of Michael for money and fame, but guess what Bashir? You’re not even half the man Michael is and you deserve no respect as a person or journalist, because good people don’t do this to another person, it’s just not human. I’d rather not see Bashir saying this, but he did maybe because guilt was and still is eating his brain and heart, but sorry feelings are not admissible right now, not right now. Michael Jackson is the biggest, best and greatest entertainer the world has ever seen and would ever see, but he was also the most stalked and harassed celebrity ever with people like this guy trying to obtain something from him no matter what. It’s amazing to see now people are trying to clear their minds by saying the truth, but how good and brave would that be… some years ago? Pretty brave actually, but no one did it. I’m sure guys like Bashir didn’t have a clue about how much that hurt Michael and the suffering he experienced. It’s so coward to say the truth now when Michael is no longer with us. The good thing is that we already know what kind of person this Bashir is and now his malicious is well documented while making “Living With Michael Jackson”. I’ll finish this posting what Michael said to him during the documentary: “…people don’t stop to think what they’re saying sometimes, and the effect it can have on a person…” Think about that!

Michael I love you and I believe in your innocence. You proved you lived a terrific life, despite those painful moments we all now, loving and caring about all the people around you and on top of that, you loved the entire world even when you knew there were some people full of bad intentions. That’s why I respect you and admire you.

His music, and above all his pure message of love, will be always printed in my heart and mind and I will assure his legacy will endure forever while I contribute in making the world a better place and healing it as well.

Michael Jackson’s family gathered Tuesday for an early Thanksgiving dinner, determined not to let money and fame pull it apart, the pop icon’s oldest brother said.

“That’s really, really important because we’re a family and throughout the years, the managers, the agents and Hollywood have tried to come between that,” Jermaine Jackson said. “What they don’t know is we were together before we came out here and we’re going to continue to be together.”

Jackson spoke to CNN at a Tuesday morning screening of his brother’s “This Is It” movie for inner-city students in Los Angeles.  He said he has stayed away from the Michael Jackson estate legal battle, which pitted his mother’s lawyer against his father’s lawyer earlier this month.

“When there’s a lot of fame and fortune and attorneys, accountants and advisers and managers and agents, it gets like this,” Jermaine Jackson said. “But at the same time, my mother is the boss and regardless of what the executors want to do at the end of the day, she has the say.”

When family matriarch Katherine Jackson dropped her legal challenge of the men named in Michael Jackson’s will to run his estate, family patriarch Joe Jackson’s lawyer was launching his own challenge. This set off a bitter courtroom battle between the lawyers for the Jackson parents.

“She has now reneged on her obligation to her family,” Joe Jackson’s lawyer, Brian Oxman, told the judge. He said Katherine Jackson’s reversal was “one of the most despicable displays” he’s ever seen in court. Oxman accused her of reaching a secret deal – behind Joe Jackson’s back – with the men who control their son’s estate.
Jermaine Jackson said despite what you may read, the Jackson family will “pull together.” “There’s strength in numbers, and when there’s a family like ours, we pull together,” he said. “We find strength within each other.”

The Sun is tackling the controversial subject of posing for Playboy magazine- an American magazine founded by Hugh Hefner containing images of naked women, interviews and fashion.

Founded in 1953, Playboy has featured the likes of American national treasure Marilyn Monroe and The King of Pop’s older sister LaToya Jackson.

Women who pose for Playboy will undoubtedly come across critics who will accuse them of degrading themselves for the sake of money.

But with a salary of approximately $25,000 (around £18,000) a month is this an offer too good to turn down? Why not make quicker earnings rather than be stuck in a dead-end job paying the minimum wage, some argue?

Of course the woman that poses nude for Playboy carries the risk of being seen as an object of sexual desire, and nothing more.

What people seem to forget is that the girls of the Playboy mansion are not all prostitutes, and if they are then that is wrong. A woman’s body is a temple and giving it up to any Tom, Dick and Harry is quite simply self abuse.

However,people often don’t realise that to be in Playboy you do not necessarily have to be naked- some are dressed in the iconic bunny outfits.

There is definitly the view that women who pose for Playboy, whether naked or not, are all beauty and no brains. An old Bible saying comes to mind here; “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.”

The greatest showman of our times was undoubtedly, Micheal Jackson. ‘The King of Pop’ as he was and will be refered to. And indeed, a king he was in his domain. His video albums revolutionised the way music was being heard. Great  video channels took birth by the support of his art.

But how was he to fall!! Such a timid death for such a great man!! All through his life he had been at the receiving end of controversies. But his unusual circumstantial death can written off as the most controversial. One of the theories supporting the claims of his murder is, where is the person who called up 911 informing michael’s death.?

Also it is well-known that he was at the last stage of his practise for his comeback show. A normal rehearsal would have been filmed on normal cameras but his final dress rehearsal was filmed with high definition cameras. Was something boiling behind his back?

Whatever be the reasons for his deaths, we’ll never know, as the legend of Pop lies in his final resting place.
