New sounds from two of my favorite Southern not-so-gentlemen Big K.R.I.T. and Kirko Bangz. Apparently, the streets have been calling for a collab; now they’ve finally gotten it. The track does not disappoint. Check it out below and let me know what you think!

For me, I have always known Joe Budden as the Pump It Up dude. Up until the Bet Hip-Hop Awards last year, I thought he was still a one-hit wonder. Then the promos for my guilty pleasure Love and Hip Hop started to show, and who did I see up there? Joe Budden (or Joey as I call him). Anyway, as I started to watch and get into the show, I realized that Joey has been doing a lot on the “underground circuit”, releasing well received mixtapes and all. Then it came to my attention that he released an album early this year called No Love Lost and now here we are.

I must say, I was greatly surprised by how great this album is and more importantly how great a rapper my fav, Joey is. How could I have missed out on him for so long? Granted I loved Pump it Up back in the day, but that song was not a true “rappers” song. Yet, this album does it for me and has me changing my top ten up a little bit. I love artist (especially rappers) who are not afraid to “bare it all” in their music. I feel that this is the only way that I can know who you really are and become a real fan when a rapper expresses emotion. Joey does this in almost every song on the album. The sometimes seen as cold Joey on Love and Hip Hop opens up to all emotions on the album including love and lost (get it?) I really feel his pain and emotion, and his crazy hookah party moments on the album.

Though there are an overwhelming amount of features listed on the album (WHICH I HATE), Joey does it in the right way, in which it does not take away from his job of being the forefront artist on the album. Although some songs such as Skeletons and Tell Him Something make it seem like Joey is the featured artist, his 16 on the songs kill every other artist up there (sorry all). I absolutely love this album though it puts me in a place of hurt and pain from the past, it is relatable and makes you feel like you really no the man behind the molly, hookah, and ex-girlfriend drama. I feel so crazy for overlooking Joey’s talent, but better late than never right?

Features include everyone basically. Not really but it is alot of notable artist including my personal fav Tank, Emmany ( who has an amazing voice), SLV (who I thought was Trey Songz for like 10 seconds), Lil Wayne, French Montana, Crooked I, and many many more. Though the album is long for some, I love that aspect. Who wants to pay 12.99 for a 12 track album where half of the songs suck? All 17 tracks are quality tracks (minus the roleplay interlude which was too much explicit sexual content for my ears lol). With all of that being said, I hope you all take the time to take a listen to some of my favs and make the investment to buy this album. It’s worth it
