Oh my, I feel like I’m flying….I’m on a total raiding high. I’ve run through so much of the end game content in the last few days it’s totally insane. It all started with Thursday night, and I was invited to the guild’s Naxx10 run. I mentioned this before and I was totally crapping myself going into it because it was made out to be seriously hard and stuff. So we get in there and I’m thinking “Huh. So this is what the inside of Naxxramas looks like…” And of course it’s creepy as fuck and looks like it belongs in the Eastern Plaguelands (which is where the raid originally was). Why they didn’t change the look of the place when they moved it is beyond me.

But anyway, I get told that we’re gonna clear the Plague Quarter and I’m actually getting really excited by this point…until our MT and GM starts randomly disconnecting…and then I start freaking out majorly because I’m OT for Naxx that night and he’s the only tank that I 100% trust to do the job right in here. (Kiser is the other tank I trust to tank behind, but because he would be as clueless as me in here….he isn’t relevant during this point in time). So Amegah volunteers to take over and then I start panicking because I don’t know how he plays as a tank (Amegah is a kick ass Holy Pally)….so now I’m being forced to tank behind someone I have no clue about. At this point, Iform, Kaylesta and Wickyd all start whispering me trying to calm me down because I’m almost in tears I’m so freaked out about this prospect. And that ended in both Wickyd and Kaylesta becoming friends of mine in game. (Iform was already a friend of mine)

We did okay on Noth the Plaguebringer, and then we got to Heigan the Unclean….which was a bit of a disaster because half the raid died and in the end it was one tank, one DPS and one healer that took out the bastard. The MT led me straight through the waves of green goo and I was toast. I felt like a lousy player because I felt like I just couldn’t do this properly. And then we got Loatheb and I’m OT of course and the MT asks me to pick him up for some reason….and I guess the healers wern’t ready for that because a couple of hits and I was down. Sigh, at least I know the Plague Quarter a little better now. But…there was a ray of sunshine to all this because I actually won something in there! I got the Legplates of Inescapable Death ….wooohooo, my first ever Naxx drop Sure I don’t need the shield block values on them (DK’s don’t use shields) but they were a huge upgrade from my old pants, so I was very very happy And I got the achievement for The Plague Quarter too! Yeah!

And then last night we went back and we finally got round to clearing out Sapphiron…she was actually a fun fight and fairly easy once you knew what you were doing. I didn’t OT for that fight because it wasn’t needed, so I was asked to DPS the big girl. Basically, you beat on her until she goes up in the end and then you get behind anyone who turns into an iceblock. Then frost will rain down on you and you wait till she comes back down and then you carry on beating on her. And it continues like that until she dies. Luckily, I had my Icebane Chestguard and Icebane Girdle, so I think they may have helped me out a little with the frost resistance

And then last night we did a funrun of OS10 and OS25 on top of Naxx10. Let’s just say this, it totally broke me. I ended up spending close to 150g on repairs last night and I ended up having to crawl to one of my new friends in the guild- Zeneva, who is a resto druid (I love druids, so many of my friends play them). She was nice enough to give me 50g and luckily when I got back near a mailbox, I’d had a couple of auctions cash in for me so I had the money to pay back into the guild bank. (I feel guilty borrowing money for repairs, so I always dump money into the guild bank by repaying the guild for being so nice to me. I’ve put in 100g in the last couple of days, so I don’t have money for anything other than raiding till I figure out a source of income other than dailies). But yeah, it’s been mental over the last couple of days. I’m starting to think that if I have money by Monday to buy a new gamecard, I’m gonna level Fiorra for a little while to decompress. I’m gonna bring her to the guild once I get her to 70 I think

So in the end, I decided to do a complete reinstall of the game (which I always hate because it takes about an hour and a half to do). It got rid of all the errors I was getting and so I was pretty happy about that.

Unfortunately, I lost all my screenshots from yesterday which is a total bitch because I ran lots of stuff yesterday with my new guildies….so I’m honestly a bit bummed out now. And I just found out that the guild is running Naxx tonight for an achievement run and I’ve never even been in there before and I so want to go but I have choir practice tonight and if I skip out on another week, I’m going to yelled at. So I have to go to choir practice and miss out on my first ever chance to even step foot inside Naxxramas. BOOOOOO!

I did finally take out Archavon The Stone Watcher on Heroic mode yesterday though. We did a guild run of it after Wintergrasp (with the help of a few PUG’d people)…so I was finally happy to have that big dude under my belt. Havn’t a clue what we plan on running today, I’m sure I will find out as soon as I log on though. I’m really enjoying myself in the new guild….and Kiser came over to join us too, so now I have my best friend with us. Life is good

So recently, I’ve been feeling very unsatisfied with my game experience…and it’s not really anything to do with the game itself. Lysix was in the guild ArchAngels and it’s very much a levelling guild that wants to make the jump to bigger things….but was doing it a little too slow for my liking. Lysix is also the first toon I’ve ever made that I’ve ENJOYED raiding on…cause she takes a lot more hits and longer for her to die. Playing squishy casters in raids can get very old very fast if you don’t enjoy dying all the time. I loved playing a druid and a priest but for raiding you have to be very well geared for it otherwise you suck horribly. And Galilyse had a couple of the classic raids under her belt….but nothing major because I died a lot on her.

With Lysix, I don’t die as much, I get to play a central role in the raid being a tank and being a tank also means that you do the hacking and slashing and the healers concentrate on you. It’s very nice to feel like you’re important…and I never really felt that on my Druid. I’d met this guy called Iform in my For The Alliance! raid that I did last week and we started talking and became friendly. He had been bugging me for the entire week since then that he wanted me to join his guild with Lysix…as they were after a DK tank and there was a spot for me…especially if I liked raiding. The offer was very tempting, and I armouried the guild and checked out their stats using WowJutsu…and everything was pointing towards me pulling Lysix from ArchAngels and putting her in Unførgiven- the new guild. And eventually, I talked it over with Kiser who said I should just do whatever makes me happy because he didn’t want to see me sad. I also happened to catch Moracon too, who being the other lvl 80 DK in the guild was kind of my inspiration for making a DK in the first place. It was funny talking to him, because he wanted to leave too and join a raiding guild so we both had a laugh about it.

So now Fiorra, Lileta and Amaraie are all still in ArchAngels but Lysix is now part of Unførgiven …my new raiding guild! I’d like to thank Wickyd for the invite and to Iform for introducing me to his guild. I spent until 4am just on Vent alone talking it up with the guys…that’s right we have Ventrilo in my new guild too! I almost feel like I just joined the big leagues, heheh.

I also got to do my first proper full raid with the guys from Unførgiven…Iform invited me to a OS25 raid and I was a little nervous but I’d done OS10 before, so I knew what the inside of it looked like. Hahaha, I enter the portal and the place is mainly GREEN….damn the graphical errors on my game! We got down the drakes and we had one left with Sartharion, which I now know is called Sarth 1D (Sarth 2D and 3D means two or three drakes, with three being the hardest). Took us a little while, with a wipe here and there….with one of the tries we got Sarth down to about 2%…which is like one kill! And we wiped just before they went down…my GOD! Vent lit up like a damn Christmas tree with an overall cry of NOOOOOOOO!!!! It was the funniest, yet most frustrating thing xD So we tried two more times and on the last try we FINALLY got it, with Vent lighting the way again with a resounding cry of YESSSS!!! and WOOOOHOOOO!!! I frickin love Ventrilo…I have no clue how I played this game for two years without it xD

Told you it was green, didn’t I? I’m hoping that the server reroll today will fix my problem But now I can officially say I have Heroic Obsidian Sanctum under my belt as a raider, with the achievements of Heroic: Besting the Black Dragonflight and Heroic: Twilight Assist. I feel damn special, even if I didn’t get any loot. I got 4 Emblems of Valor though- my first ones!

So the inevitable happened, Lysix finally dinged Level 80! And as soon as it happened, I was totally bummed out about it. I mean, I should have been happy about it right…cause now I get money from questing and get the chance to buy nice new shiny gear…and run heroics and all that fun stuff- but no I just couldn’t get excited about it. Arassa was online at the time so one of my best friends was there to celebrate with me…but the key guy, the one person who has been with me since the beginning was offline for the whole of yesterday. I’m referring to Kiser of course. It almost felt wrong dinging when he wasn’t there to celebrate with me.

And unfortunately, my day only went downhill from there. As of last time when I dinged 70 with my druid and was at the level cap…I sat and pondered for a little while on what I should do next…I was broke at the time from buying Titansteel Bars for the new helm I wanted- the Tempered Titansteel Helm. I was bumming around in Darnassus after visiting the Auction House for my titansteel, when all of a sudden I saw on trade chat that someone was looking for a tank for Heroic Gundrak. Having already run regular Gundrak a couple of times, I thought that it should be alright to have a crack at it. It wasn’t before long that I realised I’d bitten off way more than I could chew and after my second time of dying…I called in backup in the shape of my friend Kawehi- as she was a tank and I begged and pleaded with her to tank for me. It just didn’t work and we still kept dying. Me and Kawehi figured out why afterwards, the DPS were horrible and way under par, she told me that the next time I tank a heroic- even if it’s something as simple as Utguard Keep…to ask the DPS their ratings, it needs to be 1600+, preferrably 2k. After we looked at those stats, I started to feel a little better about myself…and tried to cheer myself up by attempting to fix my gear situation by asking Kawehi to make me my new helm. It was then she dropped a huge surprise on me by telling me that for my lvl 80 gift, she was going to make me two new pieces of armor, the Icebane Girdle and the Icebane Chestguard- I couldn’t believe my ears! She also told me that if I gem them right, I can cap my defense with them easily. I can see that there’s red and yellow gem slots on the pieces, so I can use defense and parry gems…should be easy enough

And so then I was bored, so I decided to do something that wouldn’t cost me any money- fishing! I’d never really ever got into fishing with any of my toons other than Fiorra, and Lysix could really use the food…so if I take it up with cooking, I should be sorted for something to do. So I’m standing up to my knee in sea water on the shores of Darkshore when I get a whisper from my friend Pikette (I met her in the For The Alliance! raid the other night) and she was asking how I was doing and I told her about getting to 80 and failing miserably on my first heroic. So she roused up a party and said she was going to get my confidence up a little as she was going to invite me to tank for Heroic Violet Hold. I said I was in as long as they were gentle with me, so I put away my fishing rod and hearthed over to Dalaran to run Violet Hold with them. It was an absolute riot, cause we could kill the first boss…but we always died after killing him…and so we’re laughing up a storm because none of us are taking it that serious and we’re just having fun trying to figure out Violet Hold on Heroic setting. At least I got my first Emblem of Heroism from it!

I could have gone backwards and done some more quests in the places I didn’t spend much time in like Howling Fjord…but I always hated going backwards unless it was for something I really needed like rep with a faction. I was so bored that I spent half of the afternoon just up in the sky above Shattrath City with Kiser….discussing how pretty the sky looked this high up :p

Don’t get me wrong, I was trying to whine or bitch (I guess I might have been a little, and for that I am sorry. I should just shut up in the future.), but I was in Sholazar Basin at the time and both Moracon and Kiser were telling me that there weren’t many quests left for me if I didn’t have the Cold Weather Flying for my Gryphon. Ever since I got to 77, I’d been trying to save my money for my mount. I guess I could have spent that almost-500g that I blew on my Jewelcrafting on my flying mount, but I’d rather get my Jewelcrafting up. Then I realised that if there were no more quests, I couldn’t make any more money to put towards my JC….and no JC means no future job prospects. Argh- damn Catch 22.

So my friend Kawehi lends me 300g towards my training and I can’t believe that she would do that for me. And then Moracon gives me the rest towards my training- which I am absolutely amazed and astounded at. Now I still have to make the money, but now I have to put it towards paying everyone back for being so damned nice to me. So, I get my training and Moracon shows me how to get to Icecrown. I take this little helicopter ride there, and Moracon meets me there. The next thing I am about to write will either make you want to slap me for being so stupid…or just laugh until you cry. Me and Moracon did the last one, I’m still laughing and smiling about it now.

So we get to Icecrown and I’m up in this blimp-looking thing in the sky. And I’m exploring the ship looking for this guy where I’m supposed to turn in this quest. I’ve always been a bit of a brave soul I guess, and I see this hole in the floor. Thinking it would lead to a second basement or something, I pitch myself through it….expecting to hit some kind of floor a few seconds later. WRONG! After falling for no more than three seconds, I realise that I am going down very quickly and very far….and I scream “OMG! I am going to die!” And of course when I hit the ground, I was dead. I wish I had screenshotted me falling, but I was laughing too much to even care at that point.

Yesterday was a fairly productive day overall. In the afternoon, myself and a few other members of the guild were a little bored…and I decided to dust the cobwebs off my little baby Druid (I made her as a replacement for my old Druid main…and plan for her to be bigger and better than my last one). Cronan was online at the time and I asked him if I could quest with him (my Druid Lileta is in the low 20’s and Cronan is in the high teens) , so the two of us went off to Loch Modan to quest. It wasn’t long till I got something I most certainly wasn’t expecting anytime soon, and was really surprised when I got the point for it:

Then I overheard the rest of my guildies talking about being in Zul’Drak and doing the Ampitheatre quest chain (I hadn’t done it on Lysix yet)…and we needed a healer, so I asked a buddy of mine if he wanted to join us and he said he wanted to. So I got on Lysix and left Lileta in Loch Modan for a little while longer and joined Arassa and Waylored. Kiser tagged along too (even though his poor keyboard is giving him hell at the moment) and my healer friend Alcyonis joined us too. After Arassa then Kiser going AFK for short periods of time, we were all ready to go and get this thing over and done with.

I have to say that is was either fairly easy, or we just had that good of a group. Warrior, paladin, death knight, mage and priest. Yeah, that is a pretty well-rounded group- I’m lucky I have guildies who are very good at playing their classes The exp was amazing from the quest chain, about 32000 for each boss killed and at the end of it….I got a new shiny axe!! I had a choice between four weapons, and the only one I could actually use was De-Raged Waraxe…heck it was a better axe than my Axe of Frozen Death, so I was very happy. Unfortunately, everyone else got the Of Blood And Anguish achievement…and I had never done the Nagrand quests, so with Waylored being a mage he pops up a portal for Shatt and we all go over there.

Things happen, people drop out of the party and in the end it is just me, Arassa and Kiser left in Nagrand and I beg and plead with them to help me get the achievement. Luckily, being my best friends they agree to help me out and so we go to beat up on some more stuff. The Nagrand quests were easy and the three of us managed just fine so I got the achievement. Woohoo!

Afterwards, I went back to questing and into the wilderness of Sholazar Basin. It’s a little bit of a mix between Un’Goro Crater and Nagrand….pretty nice place actually, much better than the depressing scenary of Zul’Drak. There’s only so much I can take looking at death, decay and zombies. If I wanted that, I’d hang around in the Plaguelands. IIn one of the quests, I got to ride on teh back of a giant crocodile and I have to say that it was pretty awesome, I’ve gotten a ride on a lot of cool things here in the Basin…including a mammoth! Now I know what I at least look like on one of those!

I’m currently finishing up a quest line to choose my which side I want to go with; the Frenzyheart Tribe or The Oracles. I really like the Oracles, and I’ve heard that some nifty stuff can hatch out of those eggs they have for sale at their Quartermaster…so that’s what I’m going to go with. Among all this questing, I FINALLY got to 77! So now only three more levels until the fabled Level 80- ehhh, I bet it will be just like when I got to 70 on my druid, not really a whole lot to do. I’ll probably go back to Fiorra when Lysix gets to 80- I gotta have my healer next, and then when she gets to 80- Lileta will be after her. I’ll have the perfect trifecta! Tank, heals and DPS…woohoo!

Talking about Lileta, when I brushed the cobwebs off her she was a level 20 Feral Druid. After some thought, I wanted her to be like Galilyse and be my PvP monster so I respecced her to Balance and after begging Moracon to give me a run through Blackfathom Deeps, I got her almost to 23….thanks Mora!

Oh! And I also got both my mining and my jewelcrafting on Lysix to 200! I know that doesn’t sound like a whole lot, but I’ve been working my butt off at it and so I am pretty happy…considering it’s breaking me financially xD

This post isn’t going to so much relate to stuff in game, but more about the people I hang around with in game. I’ve had a really, really rough past few months and I’m sure it may get worse before I see the fabled light at the end of the tunnel….but I feel like I owe my deep appreciation to a select handful of people.

1. Kiser- You and me have been together since the beginning, you’ve always been by my side and I’ve always been by yours. Even when you took that break because of the whole girlfriend situation, I knew that we were still looking out for each other. You helped me so much in the early days of playing the game, and I know I didn’t help you out much back then…but I’m trying to make up for it now by helping you out with money for your mounts. When you found out about me and the ex boyfriend, you stood by me and you encouraged me to carry on…even though sometimes he treated me like crap and I knew that must have killed you in some way. And then when me and the ex broke up, you were right there with the hugs and the support. And we’ve known each other a whole year come next month and the months have just flown by, because no matter what crap has been thrown at us, we’ve stood strong together and never faltered….it just seems to bring us even closer. Four guilds, a handful of characters and a few respecs later, and we’re still as stupid, goofy and downright silly, nothing changes there. You have been the most invaluable person in game, and I consider you to be my best male friend forever.

2. Arassa- Even though I met you through the ex boyfriend and we’ve only known each other since last October, I feel like you are my sister in this world full of chaos. We’re there for each other in game and out of game, we’re always thinking about the other and will help each other out no matter what the problem is. I just wished that you lived closer to me, and I to you because I know that if that was the case we would spend every single day together sitting side by side with our computers and kicking ass. You’ve helped me through so much in the past few months with your invaluable support, always with open arms to hold me and tell me everything will be okay. When I felt like giving up, you told me not to. When I wanted to kill the ex for what he did to me, you wanted to join me. “A good friend will bail you out of prison. The best friend will be sitting right next to you saying, ‘Damn that was fun!’” And that’s you. Thankyou so much babe, you’re my best female friend forever.

3. Kopla- I’ve known you a while now, almost a year this Summer. And sometimes you piss me off so much and you make me want to give you a giant kick in the ass, but you know…you’re like my annoying kid brother who annoys me so much but at the end of the day you still like him because he’s part of your family. And I know I can be a bitch to you sometimes, but it’s all in the name of the game because you’re lazy and you need that kick up the ass sometimes (Get to Level 80 already!) But even though we’re not that close, the guild isn’t the same without your randomness and strange sense of humour. You shocked me though when you stuck by me and Kiser concerning the thing with my ex, I never thought in a million years you would take my side and for that I owe you a huge thanks.

4. Moracon- You’re the baby of my close friends, but you’re certainly not any less of a friend to me. I met you around December last year and I randomly pst you because I thought that I recognised your name in the AA guild. Turns out I didn’t know you but it helped to break the ice anyway and I can look back and laugh about what a dork I was. We’ve done some pretty crazy stuff together in game, like the in game marriage with Lysix and you’re always up for helping me out with a quest here and there. I also know that you’re available for a shoulder to cry on and an ear to bend, and for that I thankyou so much. I’d like to let you know that I’m always here for you to do the same thing and I hope to be able to help you out one day in game too.

and last but certainly not least…

5. Gryph- I’ve only known you a few weeks, but in that space of time we’ve become fairly good friends and you’ve helped me out a ton….both in game and out. Fiorra would not be at level 55 without your help- it’s a shame you respecced to Holy because as a team we were pretty damned unstoppable. Thankyou for listening to me complain, thankyou for the game card you bought me when I thought I might have to give up the game and thankyou for offering up your couch to me when I thought that I might be tossed out onto the streets. You’re a good guy and I hope that I can help you out in return sometime in the future.

I can’t believe it. I am here again before 2am, and once again I am contemplating hitting the sack early. Maybe it’s cause I was up early this morning for church, I just didn’t get enough sleep?

Anyway. Today was a fairly slow day again, but it livened up this evening as one very special member came back to the guild to pay us all a visit….Kopla! Yes, the same guys who said he was going to be leaving the game. Turns out he missed us all too much, oh boy. I think that’s one of the reason I can’t give up this game so easily…as much as I would like to get outside sometimes, this game keeps me firmly glued to my seat and in front of the computer…all the time my hands getting colder with concentration and my ears getting worse by the second because of the loud music I am blasting out of my iPod :p

Another very cool thing happened this evening….the Pally Monster took his very first flying lesson! Now, by the PM I mean Kiser (tis my stupid pet name for him xD). Sure, he’s a lvl 80 and he should have had his flying mount by now…and I feel pretty bad because I should have bought him one when I was his GM, but I hopefully made up for it by giving him 300g in game towards the training. Kopla joined us in Shadowmoon Valley and the three of us went flying around, was a lot of fun and reminded me a lot of the old days when it was just the three of us mucking around half the time.

I love the fact that I’m the one with the different mount out of the three of us :p Me and Arassa have the same one though- must make me special….I have the same flight mount as the boss! After that bit of fun, Kiser had to get offline for some sleep and so I decided that while I was in the Outlands and on my flying mount…I’d get some more exploration done and maybe catch some more achievement points. So I flew around Shadowmoon Valley and got the exploration achievement…then I flew up to Blade’s Edge Mountains and tooled around there for a bit, when I realised that the sky was really neat over there…so I took some screenshots of me flying and realised it would make a neat wallpaper for my computer desktop. Feel free to snag it to if you want

Oh….and before I forget….Level 76! Woohoo, go me. Now, I’m tired and it’s time for some shut eye for me. Maybe I’ll be more awake tomorrow :p

I have to get up early and go to church in the morning too, and even though I do subscribe heavily to The Church of Warcraft…..I am also a believer in the Lord. So I must do my civil and faithful duty to Him.

Alright, enough religion for this blog. I maybe have just overdone it in one small paragraph, rofl. Saturdays are the day that all the characters 70-80 run stuff together, if you remember last week there was the massive photo session and the dungeon runs. This week was a little more subdued as Miss Arassa is very sick with the flu (Get well soon hun!) and only a few people showed up to do stuff. Those people were myself on Lysix, Kiser, Arassa, Falsedark and Sweetwillow. No Storymask, no Moracon. Mora was working today, and we havn’t heard from Story in about a week. I was glad to see SW running with us though because she wasn’t able to make last week.

I needed to run Gundrak for a couple of quests I have, so we picked up a healer from another guild (I have he’s a friend of someone in the guild) and myself, Kiser, Arassa and Sweetwillow all flew off from Dalaran to Gundrak to go play with the trolls and various other creepy stuff.

It was actually a fairly quick run, not as quick as the MGT run from the week before but still fairly quick. I far prefer running dungeons with my guildies because it’s quick, simple and there’s no arguing who’s going to do what. Kiser was MT, Sweetwillow and Arassa were DPS, I was OT/DPS and Halo was obviously the healer :p We got lost a couple of times and SW kept yelling at us. I eventually put on my headset and then myself and SW bugged the rest of the guild with our constant chatting and giggling like a couple of teenagers :p Luckily, we have very forgiving guildies and they seem to tolerate the two of us most of the time xD

And then afterwards, I went back to questing….but alas still no level 76 to report. I would have probably gotten it tonight too if I wasn’t so damn tired I did see something really quite cool though- a giant version of Storymask’s pet xD As soon as I saw it, I thought it was really cool and I just had to screenshot it just so I could show you guys

This weekend has been pretty quiet in all. I’m about to get back in game in a few, but I thought I would just stop by to post my thoughts about something funny I was watching last night.

I was about to log for the night, cause I could feel my eyelids starting to get heavy and I didn’t want to quest anymore- so I hearthed to Dalaran and walked out into the main street…where I happened to catch my Paladin friend Venaga, and we got talking…making random comments and pissing everyone off around us by being a couple of idiots xD (What? I like winding people up!) And then out of the corner of my eye, I caught this mage who constantly kept getting stunned.

Now I know that Dalaran is a Sanctuary city (which means that you can’t PvP or duel), so I knew that it wasn’t some rogue sapping him or a pally stunning him with a Judgement. Turns out that he’s trying to get into the Alliance portal room, and the High Elves of the Silver Covenant are porting him back out and stunning him in the process. This Blood Elf Mage continues his charade, all the while me and Ven are laughing up a storm at him. Ven dances with him, and I make rude gestures at him (yeah, I’m an ass to the Horde) and we still keep laughing at him.

Tsk, I swear the Horde are stupid. But you know, that just makes the Alliance look smarter, no matter how dumb we may act at times xD I was tempted to go and pull my Santa outfit out of the bank and join Ven in the danceathon, but nah….Night Elves dance like strippers, I didn’t want the Blood Elf throwing his singles at me, lol.

In other news, I ran Gryph and Kiser’s DK alt through both Ramparts and Blood Furnace. I tanked the whole thing and thought I did fairly well. It’s nice practice for me, I have no exp in tanking (I’ve always played some kind of caster) and so I enjoyed it. I also sang the entire time and probably annoyed the crap out of the two of them. Anyways, afterwards I stopped at the blacksmith in Honor Hold to get my armor fixed and swore I was looking in a mirror. There was a Night Elf Death Knight standing in front of me and he had the same colour hair, the same colour armor and a slightly different weapon, it was totally freaky. A male version of Lysix- it’s not allowed, there’s only enough room in Azeroth for one of her! xD

Level 75!! Ding ding! Wooooooo! 5 more levels to go (I plan on being on Level 77 come tomorrow…I know big feat but I plan on being stupid and staying awake till after the guild festivities on Saturday…then crashing big time Saturday night, lol) I also bought myself two new pieces of gear yesterday, one from my very good friend Venaga (who people tend to find very annoying, but I find to be so freaking hilarious that he has me clutching my sides in giggles) who got the Crusader’s Square Pauldrons drop off a trash mob somewhere (CoS timed I’m guessing since he’s been running it a lot) . I’m also grinding for mats for two of the Titanium Earthguard Ring and two of the Titanium Earthguard Chain (one set for me and one set for my favourite tank- Kiser) and so in the process, I had the mats for a little something for myself when I ding 77 in the next couple of days- the Stoneguard Band

Last night and yesterday in general was a very quiet, laid back day in game. Arassa has been missing from the game now for about two days and even through I am thinking about her and hoping she’s doing okay with her injuries…it’s also very quiet in game without her. I guess I’m so used to her randomness that it’s the same without her. Wooooooo! 5 more levels to go (I plan on being on Level 77 come tomorrow…I know big feat but I plan on being stupid and staying awake till after the guild festivities on Saturday…then crashing big time Saturday night, lol) I also bought myself two new pieces of gear yesterday, one from my very good friend Venaga (who people tend to find very annoying, but I find to be so freaking hilarious that he has me clutching my sides in giggles) who got the Crusader’s Square Pauldrons drop off a trash mob somewhere (CoS timed I’m guessing since he’s been running it a lot) . I’m also grinding for mats for two of the Titanium Earthguard Ring and two of the Titanium Earthguard Chain (one set for me and one set for my favourite tank- Kiser) and so in the process, I had the mats for a little something for myself when I ding 77 in the next couple of days- the Stoneguard Band

So since my main is a Death Knight, we start out at level 55 with no professions other than First Aid. So I thought it would be really awesome to be a blacksmith and a miner. Blacksmithing is levelling up slowly and last night Kiser decided to help me out and level my mining with me. So we rode around Hillsbrad for a while till I got my mining skill up to 125.

Then we mined any iron nodes we could find. We went to the Badlands first and when we got there, someone had raped all the iron nodes so that was out of the question. So we flew back to Arathi Highlands and mined around there, all the time talking and laughing about stuff- just like we usually do and have been doing for the last year.

I have to laugh about the next screenshot. Kiser found this iron node in Arathi and proceeded to park himself and his bear mount on top of it- as if to say “lookie here, I found another node for you to mine”. So I get off my saber and pull the pick out of my bags to mine it. Since patch 3.0, nodes can only be mined once (grrrrr Blizz!) so after mining it, the node disappears and Kiser is still there….floating in mid air. Really, really funny…and so of course I screenshotted it :p

Now you see it….

And now you don’t. Wait, how can a bear AND a draenai float in mid-air? Isn’t that against the laws of gravity?

After that, Kiser had to get offline because he had to get some sleep…so I went back to questing. Now as you know, I’ve been really frustrated with my gear situation recently (I’m a Death Knight tank and it’s effing hard to catch a break with both gear and people trying to say DK tanks are a piece of crap)…and yesterday I seriously got lucky. Falsedark was helping Kiser cap his D at 540 and I helped him out a little too by buying him a new piece of jewellery- Dream Signet of the Champion. Later on, False came back online and helped me out trying to cap my D too…I’m not there yet (D is currently at around the 470 mark) but it’s a lot higher than 400- which is what it was when I started.

The person who seriously came through for me though was my friend Kawehi of BarbaricHonor. Now if you recall, I mentioned her a few days ago because of the Sunwell raid. She also has other talents, one being a very trustworthy blacksmith. I bought Kiser’s Titansteel Shield Wall from her a couple of weeks ago and I plan on using her for all my armour purchases- or at least until I can get my blacksmithing skills levelled as high as hers. Anyway, last night I was discussing my gear situation with her and she linked her blacksmithing book to me. There was a pair of pants in her book that was my level and so I said I would get the mats for her and could she make them for me? She agreed and I got the mats together…and then all of a sudden, she tells me that the mats don’t matter and she would just give me the pants for free. Yes, you read that right….FREE. Tempered Saronite Legplates…..FREE. WOOHOO!!! I love having in game friends

Levelling is a real drag. Slow and tedious and there’s never really anything fun to do in the process, so I just tend to distract myself with running lots of Wintergrasp. I do love running WG though, it’s a good way to take out my frustrations on the Horde…especially the Blood Elves who really piss me off. Blood Elf rogues are the bane of my existance (as well as whiny Alliance kids and a shitty gear system)

But anyway, something weird happened last night- Kopla (our lvl 73 Marksman Hunter) was forced to leave the game by his parents. This truly pissed me off because Kiser and I have been with Kopla since last Summer and now he’s just not going to be there anymore. Like a true girl, I cried because dammit, it was like losing a member of the family. Kiser and I were in Dalaran talking at the point he dropped the bombshell, and our conversation got cut short and we just sat and moped around. It was like a big black cloud had just floated over the guild. Such a sad day

I guess I got a kick out of something last night though. I got to complete a quest where my future self shows up to help out. Two of me fighting the same thing, it was pretty funny yet pretty neat to watch. I also got my ass pwned by a pack of undead ghouls at one point too, and it was like they all just came out of nowhere and jumped me. Of course I screenshotted it- what exactly do you take me for? :p

Why do I even bother, I swear? I just took part in another failed PUG raid…this time for AQ40 and we did great until the last boss and then couldn’t get past him at all. We were severely lacking healers and I think my gear may currently need fixing before I get back to questing. Sigh. Again, someone please tell me why I even bother?

Anyway, in regular news…I have been a busy girl. Acheivements galore, let me tell you! And a new level again! Lysix got to Level 73 last night and it was no thanks to the lovely Arassa. She helped me for a good half a level to get me there. The night started with joining a PUG dungeon group for AN. And we badly needed a tank, and so I called on my favourite tank- the one and only Kiser. Luckily, he was able to run with us before he was forced offline to do stuff IRL…so we got lucky. I swear, he makes tanking look so easy. I try tanking with Lysix and it makes me want to rip out my hair and cry But we did it easily and probably in under 15 minutes which I think had to be a record run.

After that I ran with a group for Black Morass and that was really fun for a PUG. It’s usually very hit or miss for me with PUG groups and this was an excellent one because we all listened to one another and we all worked together- which I love when that happens. We got through all the way to the last boss, then our healer decided she was hungry at that point so went to put a pizza in the oven- such a bad time as a ton of portals opened on us and myself and the two warriors got a good spanking

So we changed our tactics, our healer ate her pizza and I went to feed the animals and let them outside for a potty break. While they were outside doing their business, I wandered around the kitchen with a glass of water in my hand thinking how I could do things a little bit differently concerning tanking- and I’m completely lost. Don’t want to resort to going back to DPS though- I’ve got to keep trying. Finally, let the dogs in and went back to the game- and we got through it all easily

Then I went back to Northrend and quested with Arassa for a while. Okay, so she doesn’t need the exp being level 80 and everything, but being my best friend and my GM she came to help me out- because she is very nice like that. And we had a lot of fun with the hacking and slashing I always have fun playing with Arassa though (no! NOT like that!) and that’s why she’s my best friend

And because of Arassa’s help, I managed to get not only a new achievement but also access to the quest I had heard about in the Beta- The Battle For The Undercity. I didn’t expect to get the achievement at all but then it cut to a movie about the Alliance and the Horde fighting Arthas and it was pretty cool. Then it cuts back to my achievement and I see that in keeping with the movie I just saw, the area is on fire around me.

So I had to go down into the fiery chasm and grab a shield from the guy I just watched die in the movie and deliver it to King Varian Wrynn in Stormwind. Yes, freaking Stormwind. I had to travel all the way from Northrend back to the Eastern Kingdoms, which of course required me to hearth to Dalaran and catch the portal to Stormwind. I deliver the shield to the king and it starts the quest line ‘The Battle For The Undercity’. Now I had heard A LOT about this quest from people who had played in the beta and being the huge lore nerd that I am…I couldn’t wait to take part. And this evening I finally got my chance! Was really a lot of fun, I got to fight along side King Varian Wrynn and Lady Jaina Proudmoore against Apothecary Putress and Thrall.

And then on the very last battle against Thrall, Lady Jaina Proudmoore throws a typical girly hissy fit because myself and Varian Wrynn are picking on her ugly Orc boyfriend and proceeds to freeze us all in ice. Such a total drama queen- quest is completed and I get ported back to Stormwind

And ten minutes ago I realised I was sitting on 12k in PvP honor so I took a trip to Champions Hall to finally buy my Medallion of the Alliance and get the achievement I’ve been after for a while. Woohoo! I told you I’d been busy. I should just write more often and then maybe my posts won’t be so long next time :p
