I’m currently listening to Selena Gomez’s song Crush from her album Kiss & Tell. I laugh as the second verse reminded me of what I had gone through.

I only laughed at it because I knew that every song in my playlist was picked because it reminded me of him. I guess you can say that it’s almost like self inflicted pain. Constantly reminding me of my miseries. But now as I listen to same playlist, I find myself smiling and having a blast listening to them. Then and there, I felt like me again. I feel like I’ve just released a whole bunch of  crap in my life.

Selena & The Scene album artwork for Kiss & Tell. Thoughts?

Selena Gomez announced that her band name is Selena Gomez & The Scene, and that the title of her debut album will be ‘Kiss & Tell’.

Her first single will be a track called Falling Down. “It’s basically about Hollywood and what people think about it; and essentially how plastic it is sometimes. It’s fun and I think girls can relate to it somewhat; for me it was because of Hollywood but it can really relate to a mean girl, an ex-boyfriend, to whoever.”

On her album and involvement: I did not write any of the songs but one on the record. It was one of the last songs I recorded and it is definitely one of my favorites. Im still new and still figuring out where I want to be musically but I think this is a good start… hopefully.

What do you think Selena’s music will sound like?

So it was my 2nd time in Jakarta. My 1st experience there was not good.. cos it was DBD (dominated by diarrhoea). This time I have a target: not to diarrhoea. Outcome: Target Achieved. I am half an Indonesian now! Wow! Ok not to scare anyone, actually Indo is a pretty nice place, but there will be cultural shock for most sheltered Singaporeans due to the competitive traffic and lack of hygiene in the water.

Hellen, being a incredible driver, was able to drive our family around to various locations (his dad [my dad now too] and his bro drove us around too]. The best shopping wholesaler paradise of Mangga Dua, the awesome malls such as Grand Indonesia and the nice theme park at Ancol. Of course, we were amazed by the slum areas and the poor people around too, and it was an eye-opening experience for my parents.

Hellen’s family are great hosts and we really did feel welcomed. I feel a bit bad that sometimes my family was not able to keep up as they are rather old and not really used to Jakarta. All in all, I really want to thank their family for taking such great care of us.

I loved Indo food by the way, especially the food at the restaurant Sara Kuning (??I think I spelled it wrongly!!). The best thing is that I did not become DBD.

On a side note, I had flu before I went to Indo, and because I did not see a doctor in Indo, I was feeling real sick throughout the journey (even if I acted OK). When I came back to Singapore to see a doctor, I had my medicine. But.. to cut the long story short.. Hellen got sick too and we were suspected of contracting H1N1… and we went for the throat swabs and got quarantine for a day.. oh well.. it’s ok now! We are healthy and we are not infected!

In spite of obvious short-comings, Jakarta can really grow on you and you will begin to love the city too. I love it more and more and I love Hellen more and more everyday too! So let’s continue our journey in Singapore, as we continue our preparation for our wedding!

I knew something like this was coming. Jesus Christ. This shit took TIME!

How long did this take? While I’m usually horrified at Idol fan videos I find on YouTube, I am somewhat impressed by the time and effort put into this number. Wow. Kradam is inspiring ANIMATED VIDEOS. Usually idiots just make shit with Photobucket and call it inspirational art.

Seriously, American Idol, just make everyone happy and have it be an Allen-Lambert Final. The public is obviously craving the Kradam action over a Gay Dude vs. Dead Wife Guy finale so seriously, just roll with it and fix this shit like you always do.
