Today I signed the agreement for buying the Hunter 30, so I am quite excited to start working on the boat. The oil leakage is really easy to fix so thats good.

We are starting tomorrow afternoon (the owner and I) with cleaning the boat out and figuring out what is needed to be fixed first.

Tomorrow morning at 0730 im renting a pickup truck for buying a dinghy and engine..

So I will end up at 850 dollars for a hopefully good dinghy and a good 4stroke engine, well spent money.
I found the kitebeach the other day, nice beach with flat water conditions behind a molo, looks good. They have put up rules on the beaches here, since one of the spots have been banned for kitesurfing, too bad.

Atlanta is the capital of Georgia state located on the east coast of the USA. The climate is subtropical with hot summers and mild winters. There is no access to the ocean in the city but kiteboarding in Atlanta is possible on shallow and calm waters of Lake Lanier. It may sound easy, however, due to many hazards the spot is not the best place for complete beginners. You may expect boats, stakes, rocks and in the summer also swimmers. Anyway, during cooler months the spot is not crowded at all, so the water is yours! Launch the kite on a small beach and go!
There is one fantastic school here: Locus Wind Atlanta. They offer professional lessons for kitesurfers on all levels and claim that kitesufing in Atlanta in winter is possible! Just make sure you have a full wetsuit.

Similarly to many areas on the USA western coast, Seattle surroundings have much to offer water sports enthusiasts. Kiteboarders may practice their skills themselves or with experienced coach from one of local kitesurfing schools. The city is surrounded by waters; the Pacific Ocean, the Columbia River as well as many canals and lakes. The climate here is characterized by cool winters and dry, warm summers. Most of nearby kitesurfing spots are suitable for beginners and, what is important, many locations are really beautiful.
If you are thinking of visiting some kitesurfing school, the most popular ones are Seattle Kiteboarding Center, Motion Boardshop and Urban Surf Kiteboarding. Apart from taking some lessons you may also rent equipment at a reasonable price.

Esta etapa organizada pela FPKite e a Kitesurf Portugal, prometia porque é um dos poucos locais que dá ondas perfeitas com vento da esquerda, o meu lado preferido para surfar, mas o vento leste nunca entrou, para o ano há mais !

Apesar de ser muito difícil a conjugação das condições de vento e ondas, o kitesuf nas ondas está bem implantado com muitos atletas nas competições , um nível muito elevado e muitos jovens atletas bastante promissores.

It probably only took 3.5 seconds for the kite to haul my ass down the beach and slam me down like a bag of bricks. when the dust had cleared and I had pulled the safety(5 seconds after that) I stood there on the beach with a split open head and a dislocated shoulder.

I knew it instantly i got up and could feel my should was hanging where my elbow was supposed to be. The first thing that came to my mind was Fark no more crossfit for a long time, my pullups are going down the drain and I cant clean and jerk. (okay that was brief) then i decided it might be a good idea to go to the Miliniton medi clinic.

After 5 hours of repair work I was let loose with a fist full of pain killers and a week off work. Sweet! A week of drug infused nothingness. Which it pretty much was. I can remember everything about my kitemare, hardly anything of last week.

As previsões para o fim de semana eram altamente, mar com 3 metros e 20 nós de norte, mas as condições não foram as esperadas, o mar só subiu muito tarde quando o vento caiu, com ondas a fecharem muito e não permitindo muitas batidas.

A Vianalocals já tinha disponíveis os kites de 2010, mas todos no tamanho de 9 m2, muito grandes para o vento forte que estava e acabei por não os experimentar. Com vento muito rajado entre os 10 e os 25 nós , deu para fazer uma sessão strapless com o Helix de 7 metros.
