Macam entah apa – apa je tajuk entry kali ni kan? Hahaha, bukan apa aku kan baru balik dari Kuala Lumpur. Masa kat sana aku berjalan tak ingat dunia macam tak kan ada hari esok dah. Okay ni kronologi perjalanan aku hari tu. Guna perkataan kronologi lagi tu, jangan main – main.

Sabtu

Bertolak dari Medan Gopeng menaiki bas Konsortium pada jam 1059AM dan sampai di Pudu Raya lebih kurang pukul 0130PM. Sampai – sampai je terus jumpa Abang Long aku dengan Girl Friend dia dok tengah melantak mempelam, then terus naik kereta bertolak ke Red Bungalow dekat dengan KLCC untuk saja suka – suka pergi Rantai Art. Setelah pusing dua kali baru la jumpa. Lecah killers kat situ ye dan agak menggelikan. Selamat aku memakai Crocs hitam so tak heran sangat la. Ablong pulak memakai Adidas Samba putih jadi agak keberatan untuk meredah lecah itu dan mungkin kerana sayangkan kasutnya beliau tak masuk la untuk melihat Rantai Art itu. Jadi yang masok hanya aku dengan Yaty iaitu GF abang aku tu la.

Masuk terus menuju ke Lomo Wall. Siyes! teruja melihatnya. So dekat sana ada la snap – snap. Masa tu pulak 1st time menggunakan Holga 120GCFN. Dah la 1st time guna, terus MOD lak tu masuk 35MM, nanti boleh la melihat gambar – gambar yang rosak. Cabaran betul menggunakan Holga ni. Dah habis menghabiskan film kat Rantai tu terus bergerak ke KLCC. Mak aih sesak! Pasar pun tak macam tu oke. Killers ah tobat tak mo pergi dah. Ingat dulu last pergi KLCC sebelum pindah perak, then lepas tu ada la pergi lagi tapi masa sekolah dulu la kot.

Kat KLCC just pusing – pusing mengharung sesak, nak lepak kat luar hujan lebat pulak. Sempat le singgah ke The Body Shop untuk membeli Pencuci muka dan barang – barang lain yang dah habis. Jimat duit aku sebab Ablong yang bayarkan. Then bila dah lapar terus la ke Fish Manhattan dan melantak disana. Makan udang ye, tak boleh blah aku. Aku kini bukan la penggemar udang, nak termuntah aku..=)) Selamatla ada limau disitu. Masam – masam aku hisap limau tu nak mengelakkan makanan itu terkeluar balik. Aku makan 3 ekor udang sahaja ye. Yang lain si Yaty dengan Ablong yang makan. Total makan kat situ je dah RM118.90 kot. Lepas ni sila la jangan bawak aku makan disini ye sebab aku bukan la penggemar SeaFood.

Keluar dari KLCC dan terus menuju ke Pavillion. Kat sini just  ronda – ronda coci mata aje la, seingat aku tak ada apa yang aku beli dekat sini kot, tiba – tiba terhilang ingatan sekejap cuma beli sepasang baju Timberland itu pun offer oke, itupun Ablong belanja and abang aku beli 2 helai Timberland disitu untuk buat barang hantaran kahwin nanti. Dah bosan dekat Pavillion jalan kaki pergi Sg wang plak. Sebelum tu singgah dekat CROCS yang dekat tepi jalan tu nak beli sepasang Crocs untuk bundaku yang terchenta. Dah bayar RM139.00 terus le pergi ke Sg Wang Plaza tu. Sempat la buat Manicure dekat situ. Aku tak nak buat ye sebab aku rasa kuku aku okay saja. Tapi sebab Abang aku bising – bising aku pon buat jugak la.

Keluar Sg Wang Plaza terus pergi Lot10 pulak. Masa dekat sini beli kasut untuk hantaran Yaty plak. Beli Clarks sepasang lepas tu sambung pusing – pusing. Dah penat baru la ingat nak balik. Tak balik lagi, sempat la singgah Jusco dekat Kepong tu. Dekat situ makan lagi, makan Secret Recipe plak. Aku makanan wajib di makan ialah Spageti Bolognise tu. Sila mahapkan aku kalau aku salah eja ye, maklumla orang kampung je. Dah kenyang melantak baru la reti nak balik. Hantar abang aku yang duduk dekat Metro Prima Manjalara tu then aku dengan Yaty balik Shah Alam. Sampai rumah mandi -mandi, sembang – sembang, tengok – tengok hantaran terus tidur.

Ahad

Lepas makan terus keluar ambil abang aku dekat Kepong. Then terus makan dekat Pertama Complex. Makan Ani Sup Utara ye, sejak pindah dan berkerja dekat Perak ni aku tak pernah makan Ani Sup tu lagi, so aku melempiaskan rindu dan menikmati kesedapan Ani Sup tu. Teringat masa dulu berkerja dekat Klang Shaw Centre point, Klang Digital Mall, Plaza Alam sentral boleh dikatakan hari – hari aku melantak dekat Ani Sup la sampaikan budak – budak perkeja tu pon dah tak payah ambil order aku. Wah rindunya saat – saat itu..:p

Lepas makan je terus bergerak ke Lowyat. Si nani pesan suruh beli Laptop untuk dia. Dia budget dalam RM1,600.00 je. Setelah survey dekat beberapa Kedai, aku belikan dia Compaq CQ40-667Tu kot. Entah aku sendiri tak amik tau pasal modelnya. Aku cuba untuk tidak membeli Acer. Dengan duit sebanyak itu memang Acer je la yang dapat jadi aku tambahkan RM99.00 la untuk laptop dia. Aku setuju untuk membeli Compaq tu bukan apa, sebab dia boleh bagi ram 2Gb tu yang penting bagi aku, dan die boleh bagi free gift pen drive 4GB dan ada beberapa free gift lagi. Sambil menunggu Laptop tu siap melepak dekat Big Apple, then lepas tu pusing – pusing tengok – tengok barang kot ada berkenan.

Dah siap laptop, usung pulak ke Sg Wang Plaza sebab park kereta dekat sana. Sambil tu tunggu Korn kawan abang aku hantar tiket bas aku. Sementara tunggu dok pusing – pusing sampai melekat dekat kedai Jam. Kedai tu jual jam jenama mahal – mahal yang 20, 20 ribu. Saja la abang aku beli jam satu yang harganya RM190.00 sahaja. Padahal jam dah banyak, tapi saja suka – suka. Korn dah sampai terus ambilm tiket dekat dia. Jam masa tu dah pukul 07.05PM ye bas aku pulak pukul 07.30PM. Dah la jammed killers nak masuk pudu tu, sampai Pudu pon dah 0740PM terus pergi Platform 5. Tanya ulat dekat situ cakap bas dah jalan beli tiket lain. Abang aku tak puas hati, turun ikut platform 6 pulak tengok, sekali bas tu ada je. Sialan killers si ulat itu. Aku pun terus la naik bas, dan aku la orang terakhir naik.

Sampai Perak pukul 10.00PM. Abah aku ambil terus balik. Singgah makan dekat Bomba Pengkalan dan balik tidur tanpa mandi..:P So sekian sajala bebelan aku. Agak panjang ye entry ini.

Aquaria KLCC

From May 30 till December 31, 2009, Malaysians, expatriates and tourists can now enjoy an experiential time and learn more about Malaysia’s marine parks at the city’s only 60,000 sq. ft. aquarium.

Interesting information about the beautiful islands from Payar Island, Perhentian Island, Redang Island, Tioman Island, Tinggi Island, Rusukan Islands and clusters, includes the land and marine facts as well as the important role of Marine Parks Malaysia, the governmental department that manages and protects the natural beauty and marine life surrounding these islands.

With a fresh makeover to its popular ‘Journey of Water’ theme, the entire aquarium is now featuring new wall-to-wall superb images of various island views showing the beauty of our Marine Parks with new exhibit sections covering the Electric Corner, Reptiles, Butterflies, Moths, Beetles, Turtles, Seahorses and many more.

Audio visuals that have remained a key component providing valuable knowledge and information about the exhibits to visitors have been further enhanced to feature the Marine Parks. Systems in place included wall projections, plasma TVs, interactive kiosks and voiceovers.

Visitors and especially children will also be amazed with life sized models of the Barracuda, Anglerfish, Hammerhead, Great White Shark and Sun Fish at the Discovery Zone.

Partners in this program include Marine Parks Malaysia, Museum Negara and Johor National Park.

Aquaria KLCC is open daily from 11AM till 8PM (last admission at 7PM). Entrance fee is RM38 for adults and RM26 for children (3 to 12 years). MyKad holders get a cheaper rate of RM28 for adults and RM22 for children (3 to 12 years). Senior citizens (60 years and above) are charged RM22 per pax, and infants (3 years and below) get in free.

Entrance fee for the Aquazone Fish Therapy Centre is RM30 per adult, RM22 per child (3 to 12 years), RM22 per senior citizen (60 years and above) and free for infants (3 years and below).

Chill. I didn’t get married!

Warning, I have a feeling that this post is going to be a long one, so, bare with me, people! Plus, I am in a good mood, so it will be very likely for me to write a very long post!

Let’s start with the very first minute I woke up today.

I woke up to the sound of my alarm (for the first time this week!) and saw that it was already 7:35am. I muttered a curse and texted Sorfina that I just woke up. She replied that she had just woke up as well. I thought that it was an opportunity for me to get a few more minutes of sleep and so I did.

Then, a few more minutes later, I got a message from Sorfina saying that she was on the way. I quickly jumped out of my bed, cursing and replying her message asking why is she on the way that fast!? I immediately took my shower and got dressed and while ironing my hijab, she had already arrived. Crap.

Grabbed my purse and handphone and my hijab was in my hand for me to wear in her car. Got in the car, and started folding my hijab and all that and then I realized; WHERE IS MY BROOCH?

I searched on the seat, in my purse, in my pockets, everywhere, nothing. Oh. Guess I left it at home! Grrrr. Called Fau and told her that I needed to borrow her brooch.

Picked up Fau and she gave me her brooch (which I forgot to return to her. Sigh) and we went to Eton to have our breakfast. Sorfina was driving her manual Viva which was scary because the engine kept going off every time she stops and wants to move again!

I ordered toast and guess what? It tasted like crap. I think they used spoiled butter or it was just plain cheap butter :-| So, I ordered nasi lemak, which was quite nice. So, it was worth it. Talked and talked, then, time to go back. Got into the car and as Sorfina wanted to reverse her car, the engine died and it made a weird sound! Some uncle and auntie which passed through the car at that time were laughing at us! We were laughing as well seeing Sorfina laughing in humiliation!!!

Finally, she managed to get the car out from the parking and she sent me back home

I quickly got ready to go to KLCC and woke up my mom which was still sleeping to send me to Batu Tiga. Well, I felt guilty about having to trouble her but I had no choice!

I found out that there were only going to be the two of us! Amalina and I. Nadhirah and Shobana could not make it. Kamal said he couldn’t make it as well. But then, I told Amalina that I would be so freaking bored if I stayed at home and so, we decided to go out anyway

So, my mom sent me to Batu Tiga and as I was about to buy the train ticket, guess what? I only have RM50 note in my purse plus one RM1 note AND 90 cents. ONLY. The counter was closed. So, I had to buy it at the machine. Then, I panicked. Shoot, no change! I just put all the money I had in the machine and I turned around and made my puppy face and went to this girl who looked like she was at the same age as mine and said; Urmmm, alamak, saya nak pinjam 20 sen boleh? Boleh ke? Desperate sangat ni sbb saya tak de duit pecah. Sorry sgt sgt. Ada ke?

(to those who don’t understand Malay language, it basically means that I am asking for 20cents from some random stranger. hehe)

The girl started searching her purse and thank God she was smiling. Her friends were also smiling, in a nice way and I got my free 20cent from a stranger, God bless you lady, thank you very much

And up I went up and down the stairs to the train platform. And had to wait for the freaking train for 20 freaking minutes. That just reminded me about how much I HATE taking the train So much for adventure huh. What’s worse? I forgot my earphone as well, great, no music. And I also forgot that I wanted to bring my brother’s PSP so that I can at least make the time pass by faster by playing Need for Speed!! Grrr I was so mad at myself, I could have killed a random stranger! (doesn’t make sense, I know)

In the train, I had to stand, no surprise there. I got to observe so many kind of people. Ladies chatting away like, urm, like a bunch of ladies. People who were nice enough to give their seats to the senior citizens. People who are so damn selfish that they would rather NOT put their children on their laps than giving the seats to other people who need the seats more. People who are rude. People who are lame. And people who observe other people, like me

In the train, I had a few things that pissed me off BIG TIME.

1. A lady who was a Muslim, wearing something very similar to purdah therefore making people assume that she is a very good girl, did not give her seat to an old Chinese lady standing beside her. I really felt like knocking her head to the wall and say; THIS IS ONE OF THE LITTLE THINGS THAT MAKE OTHER PEOPLE DISRESPECT ISLAM. So freaking selfish. So oblivious to her surroundings. She would rather feel comfortable doing her little silly sudoku by sitting rather than give it to an old lady. Really, it was such a shame.
2. A lady, who sat next to the girl mentioned above, was about to pass through the old lady. Everything was so packed in the train just now, we were almost squeezed together because there were so many people. So, obviously, this particular lady would have to collide with the old lady to get out of her seat. And so, she just passed through the old lady, pushing the old lady backwards, making it extremely uncomfortable for the old lady and just made her stupid I-don’t-know-you-so-I-don’t-care face without saying anything. The old lady was so mad that she began complaining to her daughter (I think) who was standing beside her. And they both just stared at the rude lady with angry expressions, obvious on their faces. Another job well done by the oh so “well-mannered” Malay people.

Another 30 minutes or so later of the torture, I was finally able to get out of the train. Met Amalina just right at the ticket counter. She bought the STAR ticket already and so, off we went to KLCC a few minutes later. Oh yeah, while we were getting on that train, Kamal called and said that he was coming with another 2 guys, Fahmi and Redhwan. I was like, sure sure but I didn’t tell them that there were only 2 of us! Har har har Because then, they would not have come!! I mean, they were in Putrajaya at that time. That’s like so far away to just come and meet two of us!

But we managed to convince them to come. Muahahaha.

We arrived at KLCC after another torturous train ride, mostly because of the smell of someone’s armpit. I had to fight the urge to puke there and then!

First thing we did; we went straight to TGV Cinemas to buy movie tickets. We wanted to watch Avatar 3D but today’s 3D show was cancelled. What a bummer. And so, we just bought the normal version. We were lucky we noticed the express lane counter for buying Avatar and Princess and the Frog tickets! Because the SO MANY PEOPLE were lining up to buy at the main counters! I was really grateful not to have to join the queue that long!

Bought the tickets. Then, we went window shopping. I went to La Senza and was tempted to buy so many things but managed to control myself. Besides, I didn’t even have enough money to buy anything! But another thing on my wishlist is the pink bathrobe with heart shapes on it. Planning to buy it very, very soon

Then, went to Body Shop, Isetan and all that. Then, went to meet up with the guys when they had arrived. It was already around 1pm, so they had to go for Friday prayers first. We went to Kinokuniya and Amalina bought something there, then, we went to the surau, then went to have lunch at Burger King.

The guys were done and came to Burger King as well but it was already 2:20pm, so we had to rush to go to the cinema because the movie started at 2:30pm.

MOVIE! Well, Avatar was extremely slow at the beginning, but as it progressed, it got slightly more interesting. Well, actually, towards the ending, it was interesting, to me. And I am not hard to please when it comes to movies. But no doubt, everything looked so real! Everything, seriously! It was just so pretty. And so, I am giving Avatar a 3.2 stars out of 5 because of the suck-ish beginning.

The movie was for about 2 hours. The guys were already so hungry because they didn’t have lunch, so we went to eat at Secret Recipe. And guess what? I made everyone celebrate my birthday!! I bought a slice of Tiramisu (because Chocolate Indulgence is getting boring already) and then I asked for a candle (but I was given TWO). Then, I made everyone took picture with the cake and then, Kamal ruined the cake by sticking candle at the side of the cake. It kind of looked unique at first and then I realized, it turned ugly! Grrrr

We ate and then, we talked about the people on Secret Recipe – the story of the waiters who act like waitresses! Then, we went outside to take pictures! Of course, I was the one who was sooooo eager for our little camwh*ring session but thank God Amalina and the guys were actually kind of cool with it (though I know deep down inside, they actually wanted to kill me. Haha) They just posed for the camera all the time and I was really happy to get some nice shots

Oh yeah, before going outside, I managed to get Kamal into La Senza!!! Hahahahaha. Really, it was so funny! He was making faces to you-know-what and all that and then, we were laughing so hard at his facial expression. It was priceless! Hihi.

After that, we went to the mosque for Asar. Stayed until Maghrib because it was already 6:50pm after we performed Asar prayers. Then, we made our way back to KLCC, while taking pictures here and there. Kamal suddenly became this photography expert and was telling us how to pose, etc etc. It was fun and funny as well! I mean, we were standing there like dummies, posing and doing whatever he told us to do!

Then, off we went to take the STAR. Could not go back that late because Amalina had a family event to attend after Isyak. So, we all took the same train to KL Central. Then, we separated as they took the train to Serdang and we took the train to Shah Alam, me, at Batu 3 of course.

And that was that. Hmm. Not so long after all. Only 1960 words so far :-| I thought it was going to be extremely long. Haha.

In conclusion, I had a blast. I don’t know about them, haha, but I am really grateful that they all came today. I really needed to hang out with my friends. To get my mind off some things.

And now, if only I could get SOMEONE from the sidebar to take me out because that SOMEONE owes me a day out, plus a photo-taking session! I wonder when he will finally take me out. Teehee

Well, tomorrow, I am going out with Sorfina and Zuleikha. Too bad Fau couldn’t be there! She’s going back tomorrow!! Sigh. Glad that we had the chance to have breakfast together just now. And also, she and Sorfina picked me up from Batu 3 just now. Such nice friends I have. Hehe. I am lucky, I know

Oh yeah, going out tomorrow to 1 Utama. Not much money left. Ick. Danger. Danger. But I will survive. Planning to wear a skirt tomorrow. Mwahaha. Just wait and see

Urgh. I am am super duper hungry! Well, of course, considering the fact that I haven’t had my dinner and it is 1:50am. I only ate nasi lemak for breakfast at around 8:00am, burger at Burger King at 2:00pm and a slice of Tiramisu at 5:00pm. And Coco Pops for dinner. How very healthy and now I am starving! Gulp.

But I am just too sleepy to eat anything! Yes, I am! I am going to take my shower right after this and go straight to sleep! Sobs. But I am hungry

Urghhhhhhhh.

Assuming you survive day zero’s ordeal, Day 1 should be a little more exciting and hopefully less taxing.

Kuala Lumpur Twin Towers
To kick-start your day – a rather early one, you should be heading straight back to Kuala Lumpur Twin Towers again. This time round you will be visiting the sky bridge. You need to get to the ticketing counters by 8:00 a.m. to stand a chance in getting these free limited tickets for the day. The ticketing counter is on the lower ground floor of the twin towers, it is just next to “Maybank”. Ask any security guards that you come across and they should be able to provide you with the directions.

Important to note, as with everything free in this world; there will be a long queue for it. So I suggest making it to the ticketing counter in good time and start camping. You obviously want to grab the ticket that is as early as possible. First entry starts at 9 a.m.

NOTE: The twin towers are closed  for visits on Monday

Breakfast
Depending on which session your skybridge ticket is, obviously the if you get out early and fancy some breakfast (If you’re unfortunate enough to get the later tickets, then go ahead and proceed to the credit crunching activity below). Why not try nasi lemak at either Jalan P Ramlee (yeaps you were there yesterday night) or at Wisma Genting (personally i recommend the latter). There’s a small alleyway between Wisma Genting and Wisma Cosway. That’s exactly where you want to be, there should be a small Nasi Lemak” stall.

NOTE: I cannot guarantee if these shops will be open on weekends. So try at your own risk.

Credit crunching activities around the golden triangle
Otherwise known as “Bukit Bintang” which means “Starhill”  it is an excellent place for shopping. There are loads of activities in this area. If you’re up for a spending spree, then this is definitely the place to be. I reckon you’ll be spending quite a lot of time here. Here are some of the places you’d definitely want to go to.

• Sungai Wang Plaza,
• Low Yat,
• Berjaya Times Square,
• Lot 10

Go get a foot massage, in Sungai Wang. You’ll probably have to look around a little while to find it. But keep walking around, you’l bump into some of them eventually – just keep your eyes open. Do not expect a spa treatment the masseurs will drill their knuckles right up the base of your foot and you’ll more than likely to be either giggling or screaming for  your life, but I assure you that it’ll be worth the while at the end of it after a long day of walking.

NOTE: There will be loads of street side foot masseurs outside Sungai Wang, but these are not the ones you’ll want. You should be looking at a slightly more decent (though not spa treatment standards) one.

There are loads of eateries and different varieties of cuisine around the Golden Triangle. It’ll be a good idea to sit back and grab some grub in the midst of all the craziness.

Bon Ton is an excellent restaurant for dinner, albeit a little pricey. In its previous establishment the restaurant carried out its business in a lovely colonial designed bungalow.  It is now in a shopping complex, so i cannot comment much on the ambience. Worth giving it a try.  Drop me a comment on your findings.

Youth Engagement Summit 2009 atau disingkat dengan YES2009 untuk pertama kalinya telah diselenggarakan di PICC (Putrajaya International Convention Center) KL, Malaysia mulai tanggal 16-17 November 2009. 500 pemuda diseluruh ASEAN berkumpul di PICC untuk mengikuti seminar tentang perubahan dan berkumpul untuk saling berukar ide dan berinteraksi satu sama lain. Dan saya termasuk salah satu dari delegasi Indonesia untuk YES2009, diantara sekitar 76 pemuda Indonesia lainnya. YES2009 diprakarsai oleh Harmandar Singh yang bekerjasama dengan Youth Asia (www.youthasia.com) and The London Speaker Bureau Southeast Asia (www.londonspeakerbureau.co.uk).

Lalu, apa tujuannya menyelenggarakan acara ini?

Tujuan dari acara ini adalah untuk mempertemukan pemuda-pemuda se ASEAN antara usia 15 hingga 35 tahun untuk membicarakan tentang issue-issue global yang terjadi saat ini. Kenapa para pemuda perlu dikumpulkan? Ya, karena pemudalah yang akan jadi pemimpin dalam 5-10 tahun mendatang di daerah mereka masing-masing, maka perkumpulan ini dirasa penting agar perubahan itu tidak hanya dilakukan oleh satu orang saja, tapi dilakukan serempak oleh pemuda ASEAN yang harapannya nanti akan menjadi pemimpin untuk ASIA.

Siapa saja yang menjadi pembicara?

Speaker yang hadir dalam acara ini tidak tanggung-tanggung, mulai dari pendiri twitter, marketer Facebook, pendiri Live8 dan LiveAid, Grand Master catur dunia, Pejuang HAM dan masih banyak lagi. Kenapa mereka yang dijadikan pembicara/speaker? Ini dikarenakan mereka adalah orang-orang yang bisa dikatakan sukses, mereka mampu memberikan kontribusi yang luar biasa untuk masyarakat. Mereka pada awalnya sama dengan kita, hanya saja mereka mempunyai mimpi dan usaha yang lebih sehingga mereka mampu mencapai puncak kesuksesan yang mereka mimpikan dan semoga usaha yang mereka lakukan akan selalu menginspirasi kita terus berjuang. Tidak mudah tentunya, dan inilah yang kita pelajari dari mereka, mulai dari ide gilanya, perjuangan sampai dengan kisah tragis kehidupannya. Dan semua itu sangat inspiratif, karena ternyata sebagai pemuda banyak tanggung jawab yang harus kita selesaikan, dan kita harus menjadi bagian dari orang-orang yang berusaha menyelesiakan masalah itu. Dan ini membuka cara pandang kita tentang bagaimana seharusnya kita menjalani hidup ini.

The speaker

1. Biz Stone, Co Founder of TWITTER. Dia menceritakan tentang perjuangannya untuk mengembangkan twitter, dia pun mengatakan bahwa sebuah kesempatan itu bisa kita ciptakan oleh diri kita sendiri. Menurut Biz Stone sendiri Twitter itu bukanlah kemenangan sebuah teknologi, tapi adalah kemenangan kemanusian, dimana orang-orang bisa saling berhubungan/engage satu sama lain dan share tentang apapun yang mereka punya.
2. Dr. Mamphele Ramphele, berasal dari Afrika. Dr. Mamphele adalah orang yang bener-bener merasakan gender discrimination di Afrika dan dia berusaha untuk memerangi itu. Karena menurutnya semua orang berhak untuk mendapat perlakuan yang sama, terutama kesempatan dalam memperoleh pendidikan dan kesempatan serta penghidupan yang layak.
3. Sir Bob Geldof. First thing that u have to do is u must commit ur self to change. Ya perubahan itu dimulai dari kita sendiri, bukan dari masyarakat kita. Dan kita harus benar-benar konsisten dengan perubahan yang kita lakukan. Sir Bob Geldof membawa music rock and roll untuk kegiatan kemanusiaan yang dia lakukan, karena menurutnya bahasa music dapat dimengerti oleh semua orang. Itulah usaha yang Sir Bob Geldof lakukan sebagai wujud kontribusinya untuk masyarakat, karena hidup kita akan menjadi lebih bahagia dan bermakna saat kita tidak hidup untuk diri kita sendiri.
4. Randi Zuckerberg, marketernya FB
5. Nando Parrado, penulis buku “Miracle in the Andes: 72 Days on the Mountain and My Long Trek Home”. Nando Parrado menceritakan tentang bagaimana dia berhasil survive di pegunungan Andes setelah pesawat yang dia naiki mengalami kecelakaan. Semua orang punya perjuangan hidup masing-masing, dan pengalaman Nando ini bisa menjadi salah satu hal yang akan menginspirasi kita untuk terus berjuang dalam hidup kita.
6. Dato’ Seri Tony Fernandes, pendiri Air Asia. Dianggap menjadi orang aneh adalah hal yang wajar bagi mereka yang berjuang meraih impiannya.
7. David Magliano, mampu memenangkan London, UK untuk menjadi tuan rumah Olimpiade 2010.
8. Garry Kasparov, Grand Master Catur dunia atau biasa disebut sebagai legenda hidup. Garry setelah pension dari catur merambah ke dunia politik, karena menurutnya dengan terjun ke politik dia bisa memberikan kontribusi yang lebih untuk masyarakat.
9. Narain Karthikeyen, F1 Driver from India. Membawa india menjadi Negara yang diperhitungkan dalam ajang F1.
10. Long Yongtu, Former Vice Minister of Trade in China.
11. Yashwant Sinha, Finance Minister of India (1998-2002)
12. Donald Trump, siapa yang tidak kenal dengan Donald Trump, Donald Trump berhasil didatangkan dalam summit ini walaupun hanya melalui satelit. Tapi dari sini bisa dilihat bahwa summit ini memang mempunyai visi yang besar kedepannya. Satu kalimat dari Donald Trump “U have to love what you do, u’ll get your passion”. Donald Trump memberikan banyak sekali nasihat untuk para pemuda, bahwa kita harus focus dengan apa yang ingin kita capai dan kita harus selalu yakin dengan diri kita sendiri, yakin dengan kemenangan kita dan mampu untuk mengatasi stress.
13. Lorraine Hahn, Noted former presenter for CNN and CNBC. Bertindak sebagai MC pada keseluruhan rangkain acara YES2009.

Inilah ajang yang luar biasa untuk mempertemukan dan menginspirasi para pemuda ASEAN agar mampu merubah diri mereka sendiri, lingkungan mereka dan kemudian merubah negara mereka. Angin perubahan harus selalu ditiupkan, agar kita mampu untuk selalu berubah kearah yang lebih baik.

Next year, YES2010 will be held in Bali, Indonesia. I hope u can join on it and voiced ur aspiration at there. Let’s CHANGE and commit with it.

Went to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on Sunday for the last day of PIKOM PC Fair 2009 (III). The loot I got from the fair (only bought a Sandisk Ultra SDHC Card 8GB, others are freebies), except for the Otacool book which I picked it up at Suria KLCC’s Kinokuniya bookstore.

There are several reasons for me to go for this trip. 1, to pick up the Otacool book. 2, to look for any accessories. 3, I love events. 4, PC Fair Showgirls.

We have had a great time during this week in Malaysia and have seen so much more than I thought we would in such a short time. Tomorrow morning we are off to India.

Summarizing the week isn’t easy, but the easiest thing to say is that I am glad we are coming back. Kuldip’s cousin Surjit Singh has been a great tour guide in Kuala Lumpur. We have spent a lot of time with Kuldip’s family and saw a lot of the sights. But I want more time.

As far as must-sees, as an architecture buff, Petronas Towers is the obvious one. Still, the pictures of Petronas Towers we see in the west don’t do the project justice. It is a spectacular pair of towers, but it also incorporates acres of public space that are both gorgeous and–here’s the real success in my view–very utilized.

The towers sit atop KLCC, a huge high-end vertical mall that is filled with the shops all high end malls have. One side faces a beautiful park with a lake, jogging trails, etc., that is packed during the day and at night. On the plaza next to KLCC is the convention center, so there are plenty of international tourists hanging around, but there seem to be locals as well. On the other side is another plaza with fountains that is filled with people at night. A lot of the people on the plaza are taking pictures of the towers, but a lot seemed to be locals out for a walk after dinner letting their kids play in the fountains.

The Sears Tower in Chicago can’t say the same. I worked across the street from the Sears Tower for years and it just didn’t seem as integrated into the fabric of the city.

The other surpise for me was Putrajaya. Back in the mid-1990s I was assigned to cover the buildup the Malaysian government had planned, including the new airport, Cyberjaya and Putrajaya, but I never came and the story fizzled because the Asian Tiger economy crashed. After the crash, my American editors were no longer interested in Malaysia. I have to admit that other than Petronas Towers, I wasn’t interested either. That said, it is really interesting to see that, even though there was a delay, Malaysia moved ahead with its plan. Putrajaya is showcase worth any architecture buff’s time.

Thanks to Halee, Sharon and Nkeong make themselves to the last minutes outing. Hope that you guys enjoy the outing.

Nevertheless, the outing was challenging. Under the super low light situation, we had no choice but to push the iso higher and higher. I think most of us had using the MAX iso speed.

By the way, about the Aquaria, nothing much species. Don’t even see the hammer head as printed on the brochure.  To me, quite a disappointment. Furthermore, I seem fail my challenge to the low light. Definitely still need a lot of improvement.

Initially was trying to achieve HDR, but somehow I wasn’t pleased with the colour. So change it to black&white as i really like the picture.

Personally I prefer the 2nd version. As it retain better details for sky, What say you??

United Malays National Organisation berkhayal bahawa gerombolan mereka sahaja yang mewakili Orang Melayu. Ini sebenarnya satu dongeng. Kesah dongeng ini sengaja disebarkan untuk membodohkan fikrah orang Melayu.

Projek pembodohan Melayu ini adalah sebahagian dari strateji politik United Malays National Organisation. Selama lebih dari 50 tahun proses pembodohkan ini telah dilakukan. United Malays National Organisation amat amat sedar tanpa projek pembodohan ini mereka akan hilang kuasa untuk memerintah.

Kalau di zaman fedual dahulu – orang-orang Melayu dibodohkan dengan pelbagai dongeng tentang daulat raja, tentang hikmat raja, tentang kehebatan raja, tentang ilmu raja atau tentang raja yang mewakili tuhan di bumi ini. Ini semuanya dongeng. Semua ini adalah sebahagian dari projek membodohkan Melayu.

United Malays National Organisation tidak mahu orang Melayu memiliki fikrah dan berkeupayaan untuk berfikir secara bebas. Susuk yang memiliki fikrah dan berkeupayaan berfikir secara bebas pasti akan menjauhkan diri dari gerombolan ini. Manusia yang berfikir akan berkeupayaan untuk melihat tipu belit yang sedang dijalankan oleh gerombolan ini.

Projek pembodohan ini ada yang dijalankan dengan licik sehingga tidak dapat dilihat. Ada pula projek ini yang amat jelas dapat dilihat. Projek pembodohkan yang licik dan yang terang berjalan serentak untuk membonsaikan akal fikrah manusia Melayu.

Cara Pertama:

Menakut-nakutkan Melayu tentang bahaya orang asing. Orang asing yang dimaksudkan oleh gerombolan ini tidak lain dan tidak bukan ialah orang China. Orang-orang China akan dijadikan ‘hantu’ untuk terus menakut-nakutkan orang Melayu.

Akan ditimbulkan pelbagai cerita untuk membuktikan bahawa ekonomi negara ini dimiliki oleh orang China. Racun bencikan China ini telah memandulkan fikrah orang Melayu untuk melihat dengan jelas bahawa wujud  persekongkolan yang maha intim antara kroni gerombolan United Malays National Organisation dengan para cukong China.

Para cukong China yang membuat harta kekayaan sebenarnya bekerjasama dengan gerombolan United Malays National Organisation. Kerjasama mereka seperti Abang dengan Adik.

Cuba kita kembali kepada kes Bank Bumiputera yang lingkup pada tahun 80’an dahulu. Nama seperti Hashim Shamsuddin dan Lorraine Osman akan muncul.  Ini akan diikuti dengan  nama George Tan. Siapakah Loraine Osman ini? Maloan ini tidak lain dan tidak bukan ialah bendahari gerombolan sendiri.

Ini hanyalah satu contoh dari bejuta juta contoh yang lain. Ini belum lagi diambil kira  kes PKFZ, Bakun , Pewaja, Formula 1, Moonson Cup, KLCC – dimana wujud kerjasama antara gerombolan dengan ‘orang asing’ untuk menjarah negara.

Cara ke dua:

Menyebar berita dongeng bahawa sesiapa yang menentang United Malays National Organisation bererti menentang raja dan monarki. Ini bukan sahaja dongeng tetapi cerita lawak.

Orang-orang Melayu sengaja dibodohkan dan tidak diarifkan untuk memahami bahawa melawan/menentang/mengkrtitik sistem monarki ini bukan sesuatu yang pelik atau menghairankan.

Dalam sejarah negara Arab banyak  raja-raja dalam  telah dichampakkan ke dalam tong sampah sejarah. Raja Feisal dari Iraq, Raja Farouk dari Mesir, Raja Idris dari Libya, Raja dari Segala Raja Ahmad Reza Pahlevi dari Iran – semuanya dihumbankan. Justeru – menentang monarki bukan sesuatu yang asing dalam sejarah tamadun manusia. Malah menentang monarki adalah tindakan progresif dan maju.

Tetapi orang Melayu  sengaja dibodohkan agar terus terperangkap untuk tunduk melutut tanpa  berfikir. Orang Melayu tidak diberi kefahaman yang jelas  bahawa : menjunjung  ke bawah duli itu ertinya menjunjung tapak kaki. Orang Melayu tidak diberitahu bahawa : pacal itu ertinya anak anjing.

Patek pacal yang hina menyembah duli tuanku bermakna : saya ini anak anjing yang hina menjunjung tapak kaki kamu.  Bukan kah ini kerja bodoh dan memperbodohkan diri sendiri. Kenapa orang Melayu dibodohkan sebagini.  Kenapa orang Mealyu mahu menjadi bodoh dan terus dibodohkan.

Cara ketiga:

Sesiapa yang menentang United Malays National Organistion  di katakan menentang Islam. Ini juga adalah projek membodohkan orang Melayu.  Bagaimana menentang gerombolan ini disangkut pautkan dengan agama tidak pula dilakar dengan jelas.

Islam ialah agama kepercayaan. Manakala United Malays National Organistion adalah satu gerombolan politik. Islam telah wujud 1500 tahun dahulu.  Gerombolan  yang beroperasi hari ini hanya wujud semenjak tahun 1988 dahulu. Manusia Melayu telah menganut Islam 500 tahun dahulu dan tidak ada sangkut paut dengan United Malauys National Organisation.

Manusia Melayu menganut Islam bukan kerana United Malays National Organisation. Mereka menganut Islam kerana satu kepercayaan agama.

Tetapi orang Melayu di Malaysia ini  terus ditakut-takutkan seolah-olah gerombolan ini adalah wakil tuhan di atas bumi ini. Ini karut. Tidak ada sesiapa yang mewakili tuhan diatas bumi ini. Menentang United Malays National Organisation bukan menentang agama, bukan menentang Islam dan bukan menentang Tuhan.

Yang Maha Esa tidak pernah melantik United Malays National Organistion untuk menjadi wakil. Malah Yang Maha Esa tidak juga melantik Pope, Sami,  Dalai, Ayahtollah, Padri, Rabbai – untuk menjadi wakil.

Apa yang terjadi ialah para agamawan  ini adalah orang-orang yang beramal dan beribadat. Mereka mengikut selurus dan setepat mungkin ajaran-ajaran dari kitab-kitab suci. Semua mereka adalah manusia yang sama seperti Mak Cik dan Pak Cik di Felda Sungai Rokan – bezanya mereka boleh befikir dan berilmu.

Ahkirnya:

Projek pembodohan Melayu ini telah dibudayakan.  Ini bererti ianya telah menjadi sebahagian dari proses budaya pemikiran Melayu. Lembaga-lembaga daulah yang wujud telah diarahkan untuk terus menjalankan projek pembodohan ini.

Kaedah pembelajaran dan media adalah dua lembaga yang digunakan untuk  projek membodohkan Melayu. Media Melayu jika dibandingkan dengan media yang bukan  Melayu amat ketara bezanya. Tahap laporan berita, tahap tulisan rencana, tahap soal jawab agama  dalam media Melayu – semuanya memiliki nilai bodoh yang amat tinggi.

Bagitu kaedah permbelajaran dan keilmuan. Anak-anak muda Melayu terus diperbodohkan dalam sistem pembelajaran yang sedia wujud. Justeru kerana itu ibu bapa dalam masyarakat China tidak mahu anak anak mereka masuk ke sekolah aliran Melayu. Mereka tidak mahu anak anak mereka jadi bodoh. Dalam masa yang sama , makin ramai ibu bapa Melayu telah mula menghantar anak-anak mereka ke sekolah aliran China. Di sekolah aliran bukan Melayu masih ada  peluang untuk anak-anak sekolah ini diajar untuk  berfikir bukan diajar untuk menjadi bodoh.

Kemelut politik hari ini adalah hasil dari projek pembodohan orang Melayu. Masih ramai lagi orang Melayu yang bodoh sehingga mereka gagal untuk membezakan apa yang betul dan apa yang salah. Apa yang hak dan apa yang batil. Projek bodoh ini telah juga memesongkan nilai budaya orang Melayu.

Orang Melayu yang telah dibodohkan gagal melihat bahaya rasuah malah mereka  dengan bangga akan mengangkat pemimpin pengamal rasuah.  Orang Melayu yang telah berjaya dibodohkan gagal melihat bagaimana sistem kehakiman dan keadilan  dalam negara ini boleh dijual beli. Mereka ini terus ingin menjadi bodoh.

Orang Melayu yang ingin terus menjadi bodoh ini gagal melihat pembunuh, pencolek, pengambil rasuah – bukan satu pekerjaan salah. Budaya songsang lagi bodoh ini  melihat kejahatan itu  baik dan suci kerana ianya dilakukan oleh  manusia Melayu beragama Islam yang memiliki kad gerombolan United Malays National Organisation.

It took some time, but we finally made it to Kuala Lumpur last night. It was too dark to see much of the city, but Petronas Towers (known as KLCC here) is just stunning at night.

We arrived very sleepy, but managed to spend a few hours having a fantastic dinner with Kuldip’s family.

Adjusting to the time change will be a challenge. We managed to stay awake till 11pm KL time last night (7am in San Francisco), hoping that we could sleep through the night. No such luck. We’ve been wide awake since 3am, waiting for the rest of the city to wake up.

We are both really excited to get out there and walk around and see the city.
