มาดูศิลปินฝั่ง Western กันบ้างสำหรับรอบนี้  แถบ LA จะมีงานเกี่ยวกับ Toy Design ซึ่งจะจัดอยู่ที่หอประชุมในเมือง Pasadena, California เป็นประจำ ทุก 2-3 ครั้ง ภายในงานก็จะมีร้านค้ามาออกบูทกัน สำหรับงานนี้เรียกว่า DesignerCon (เปลี่ยนชื่อประจำ) ซึ่งรอบนี้จะจัดขึ้นวันเสาร์ที่ 21 พฤศจิกายน นี้  สำหรับงานนี้ Frank Kozik ก็มาร่วมด้วย โดยนำ  Ocran Ocinatas Tequila Tequila Version ใหม่มา  ซึ่งจริงๆ แล้ว ตัวนี้ก็จะคล้ายๆ กับที่ Frank Kozik x Muttpop เมื่อหลายปีก่อน หลังจากที่เคยปล่อยตัวแรก El Brujo Narco Satanico Tequila เมื่อวันที่ 06/06/06 ตัวนี้คงเป็นตัวฝาแฝดที่โผล่มาอีกที ซึ่งที่ผมเห็นคงเป็นสีที่ลำตัวแตกต่างกัน ผมว่าตัวเก่าสวยกว่า สำหรับงานนี้ขนมาขายในงานแค่ 10 ตัวเท่านั้น แต่ตามกำหนดการจริงๆ คงจะเป็นปีหน้าจำหน่าย สำหรับทาง Muttpop เองก็ได้ออก Tequila มาไม่ต่ำกว่า 5 version แล้ว

It’s one day and a half that is raining and it’s getting really really boring.
All is grey around and so new posters are on the walls to make things more coloured.
Some Rick Griffin (and expecially the Lucifer rising poster!!! Thanks a lot Phil!), Kozik, David D’Andrea, Chuck Sperry, Alan Hynes and Christian Hall, Alan Forbes and  then some Malleus too. And more I don’t want to bore You with.
Anyway, both studio and home look better now.
Don’t know if You’ll care but we’re putting down the new Ufomammut’s album, we’re pretty excited, it’s coming out good, it’ll be a new step and it’ll be really different one. We hope to have the music done for the end of the month. Then recordings!
We’re starting the printing process for the next MEI poster, we’ll start tomorrow and we’re planning to do a serie of 200 pieces + an art print on different paper too. Stay tuned and You’ll see it growing and becoming.
And we’re working at a poster for the Melvins in Milano, they’ll be supported by Porn, I love them.
So it’ll be a cool gig for sure.
Moreover, we’ve some other posters coming, we’ll tell You later.
C’mon, don’t be angry, if I’ll tell You all now, what will I write tomorrow?
Last thing I want to write is the tubes will hopefully arrive soon.
So, please be patient if we’re delaying shipments. It’s only for your own good.
And by the way, it’s really terrible to speak about tubes on a blog…

Aaaahhhhh, Melvins!

Geeez, when I read the new Rugged I saw a bust made by Frank Kozik, it shows the great leader of vietnamese communism Ho Chi Minh. When visiting strangekiss.com, I saw that Kozik also made a bust of Stalin in bronze. Is somebody out there who is willing to buy me one?

For the first time in my life, I want to attend San Diego Comic Con. Why you ask? Let me show you:

Kidrobot is coming correct! I’ve been a fan of the “Fortune Cat” by Mr. Shane Jessup since series 4. Unfortunately the series 4 dunny was a 3 incher. This time around Kidrobot gave Shane Jessup fans an 8 inch dunny to look forward to. The Gold is available worldwide, while the black is an unfortunate exclusive to Comic Con only. I don’t know what I have to do, but trust me that I will be getting both of these, even though I’m not attending Comic Con. The Comic Con exclusive is available on the 23rd of July. If you can get one for me, holler!

Next up is a special 6 inch fat cap release on the 24th. Deph’s fatcap is one of the best fatcaps I have ever seen. Beside owning a fatcap that came with a kidrobot backpack, this will be my first official fatcap purchase. The gasmask, crate of cans, and the roller are all very nice touches that accents how fine this piece is. Not to mention that a poster comes with the fatcap as well!

 And last is the exclusive Wood Labbit. Kidrobot teamed up with duo Kozik and Amanda Visell. This vinyl featues Amanda’s creative and distinct wood working details as well as a few others. Pure heat! I don’t own any of the Labbits, but I wouldn’t mind adding this to my display case.

This new series has released a couple versions already one called ‘B Star Girl’ by artist Jeremiah Ketner (below), a Soft Touch Black, a White DIY and the ‘Skully’ I have featured above. Frank Kozik has done it again with his latest bronze edition MechaNana. Part “steampunk” and part “kaiju” this piece is a reinterpretation of the classic pop art banana icon. When asked to describe this piece Kozik just shrugged and said it was a “marital aide”… go figure!

Limited to only 22 pieces and 2 APs these should sell out quickly like the classic Beethoven bronze which now fetch over $5k.

10 inches long and 6″ tall and wide. Photo is a mock up and final piece might vary a bit.

After receiving the incorrect color item of the Anarchy TM sign by Frank Kozik the other day. I finally got the correct color version I ordered yesterday.The murder Version is pretty dope and matches my 20 inch redrum Kozik Dunny. They go together nicely.
