As a perfect example of the failing of the the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KP), Zimbabwe, a country whose sale and trade of blood diamonds is well documented, is allowed to remain a member of the organization.

According to the Wall Street Journal, KP members decided instead to send a monitor to Zimbabwe to supervise the country’s diamond production and impose a 12-month timeline for reforms.

Under the agreement, Zimbabwe is banned from exporting any stones from the Marange fields until the monitor arrives, which could take weeks or even months.

The decision not to suspend Zimbabwe came as a shock to many as there is much evidence to prove that Zimbabwe is in fact trading in blood diamonds.

• In May, Ian Smillie, one of the founders of the Kimberley Process stepped down stating that KP was failing and that he could no longer associate with the effort.
• In June, the organization Human Rights Watch released a report that detailed how Zimbabwe’s armed forces were forcing children and adults into labor, and torturing and beating local villagers on the Marange fields.
• In July, a KP review mission visited the South African nation and reports circulated that the KP team had recommended a six-month suspension for Zimbabwe.
• Following the events of the summer, various industry organizations, including the World Diamond Council and the International Diamond Manufacturers Association, called upon the governments that comprise the KP to take action in ending  the problems in Zimbabwe.

Amount used: Just start using it, about two weeks.

This is probably the best product and the most recent product I have tried, this is also a pretty popular KP treatment. It reduces KP, and minimize the existing bumps, make it generally less noticible. This kind of similar to KP duty, that it is not a very good moisturizer because the lotion stays on the top layer of your skin. I do not know the reason why this product has been discontinued, and I think it is not the first time that it has been taken down. You may be able to find this product on eBay or other sites that still have the stock of it, and be sure to compare prices around.

Price: $12-$13 (travel size $5)

Direction: Moisturize once a day

General Rating: It’s somewhat works.

Scent: Strong, some people might not like it.

Amount used: I only used the travel size kind.

This is actually from the same post I read where I found the Vaseline Lotion, the direction the author suggested was once a day, and about 98% of her KP was gone after a week or two. Again, my result was not as great as hers, its effect for me was close to the same as the Vaseline Lotion, right around 15-25% of my KP was gone (actually more like staying the same, just keeping it from growing more back). I didn’t use it for long, since I only bought the travel size just to try it, I tried it for about two weeks. This is generally a pretty good lotion, it is kind of watery as well, I think it may be a better treatment to something else (it might be able to keep the mosquito away), but for KP it’s not the best.

Oh, smell it before you buy it.

Amount used: I went through the tube, I am almost done with the bottle.

I found this lotion in the Keratosis Pilaris Community forum, I don’t remember who posted about it but she claims that she used it two times a day for two week about 90% of her KP was gone, I decided that I am definitely going to try this lotion. I did what she said to apply twice a day, after 2 weeks…I wouldn’t say 90% of my KP is gone, more about 20-30%, which is still good, but same thing as KP duty, it really doesn’t improve anymore after the first couple of time using it, and my KP stays about the same after a few of months. The lotion itself is kind of watery, but very moisturizing. This is probably the cheapest lotion that can help reduce KP,  it is pretty effective.

Amount used: I went through 1 1/3 tube.

This was the first treatment I tried for KP, after using for a couple of days, my KP was reduced by around 10-20%, I was happy to see that, and I was hoping that it will reduce more later on, but after using it for about 6-7 months, my KP stays the same…it was better than before I started using it, but I want further improvement. Most of the time I use the lotion about two times a day, sometimes three…and there were days I just didn’t feel like putting it on, but it usually happen one or twice in a month. I do not think it’s worth what it cost, because there are lotions that are much cheaper but still capable of achieving the same effect and sometimes better. And the lotion stays upon your skin, it does not get absorbed in. It is suppose to be more effective if you use it with the KP duty Body Scrub, but it also cost around the price, feel free to give it a shot, let me know the result.

What is Keratosis Pilaris? A curse. A curse of chicken skin that will follow you upon your arms and legs (some people’s case, face) starting from your teenage or preteenage years to your 30s and 40s…all of the pretty years basically. It is a common skin condition, 30-40% of the world population suffers from it, mainly women. Of course, everyone’s situation would be different, some people’s KP maybe mild, and some people…let’s just say, they refuse to wear short sleeves. It is different from acne, although it is similar to acne that it becomes worse after you consumed a lot of greasy fried food. There is no cure for Keratosis Pilaris unfortunately, it is completely harmless, just not pleasant to look at. I have suffered from it about 7-8 years, I can no longer stand the sight of it, I have been diligently searching for remedies that will reduce the bumps, scars, and redness the past year. The most commonly used would be body lotions.

Kita menjelang hari Kristus à  harus dipersiapkan, hidup dlm buah2 kebenaran, hidup suci, kudus,  parallel dgn buah2nya. Mis. Kita pelayanan, MT dll  tapi buah2 ga benar à  tidak mungkin. Spt pohon pepaya buah pepaya.

Itu hukum yang ditetapkan Allah bagi alam  demikian juga kita. Hidup kudus à  buah2 kebenaran. Bagaimana kita berpikir & mengelola otak / pikiran kita :

1. Manusia à  makhluk roh,  bersifat kekal à  bisa di 2 tempat :  Neraka / Surga. Tikus / binatang tdk kekal,  tdk punya roh hanya punya insting.

Manusia punya roh,  ada dua : roh kegelapan & roh Tuhan,  keduanya kekal.  Namun keduanya tidak pernah bersatu / selalu perang, tdk ada perdamaian karena Tuhan sdh tetapkan bagi iblis tdk ada pengampunan à  manusia diperebutkan  karena manusia sangat dikasihi oleh Tuhan shg manusia mjd tempat rebutan buat setan.

Dari sisi Allah à  Tuhan sayang banget pada manusia yang diciptakan segambar & serupa denganNya. Tuhan bangga & sayang banget ama manusia.  Sehingga saat manusia diambil oleh setan  à  Tuhan turun dari tahtaNya,  Tuhan datang karena cintaNya namun setan datang dengan siriknya.

2.  roh ini tidak akan pernah menyatu ,  tidak ada kompromi. Roh iblis licik,  selalu menekan kebenaran. Manusia merasakan ada perebutan itu dimana??  à  Di pikiran!!

Pikiran à  tempat ajang pertempuran setan pada manusia,  pertempuran itu di pikiran.  Terima Yesus atau tidak à  di pikiran. Manusia punya hak untuk memutuskan sedangkan malaikat tidak bisa.  Jika Tuhan menyuruh malaikat melakukan sesuatu,  malaikat harus lakukan tidak bisa tidak namun manusia bisa  dan iblis memakai hal ini.

à   Pikiranku penting.

Sering2 bersekutu dgn saudara seiman à  pikiranku jadi 1 lingkungan à hidup dalam persekutuan à punya visi, timbul pikiran2 Kristus & buah2 kebenaran.   Kalau tidak à  timbul pikiran-pikiran yang salah.

Pikiran à  Action  à  Buah.

Pikiran2 Kristus  à  Buah2 kebenaran.

Pikiran à  Penting sekali dijaga.

Fil 4 :  8-9

Jadi akhirnya, saudara-saudara, semua yang benar, semua yang mulia, semua yang adil, semua yang suci, semua yang manis, semua yang sedap didengar, semua yang disebut kebajikan dan patut dipuji, pikirkanlah semuanya itu. Dan apa yang telah kamu pelajari dan apa yang telah kamu terima, dan apa yang telah kamu lihat padaku, lakukanlah itu. Maka Allah sumber damai sejahtera akan menyertai kamu.

Indikasi bila roh kegelapan bekerja  /  pikiran kita benar atau kita salah pikir :

1)    Hilang sukacita

2)    Hilang semangat

3)    Hilang damai sejahtera

Segala sesuatu ditentukan oleh kita sendiri,  apa yang aku putuskan,  keputusanku  à  menentukan hidupku.

Keputusan ikut Yesus  à   aku jadi anak Raja,  hanya dgn 1 keputusan.

Otak / pikiran menentukan hidupku à  Fil 4 : 8

Makhluk roh à  menembus waktu à  kehebatan manusia.

Ada spirit à  punya pikiran.

Tahu pikiran benar / tidak à  kelihatan dari buahnya.  Tuhan tahu Namur manusia melihat / tahu dari buahnya.

Pikiran à  Action  à  Buah

Yang harus aku lakukan :

1. Miliki pikiran yang baik à  Preventif
2. Tahu pikiran benar / tidak à  dari buahnya.
3. Buah itu adlh hasil peperangan

Kedua roh itu hidup,  bila aku kasih makan à  hidup & bertumbuh.

Pengakuan dosa itu penting  à  mematahkan dosa sampai ke akar2nya.

Kalau kita tdk mengaku à  nurani dimatiin  à  dosa berbuah.

Nurani itu spt alarm bagi kita,  bila berbunyi harus diperhatikan  à  sering2 evaluasi diri.  Bila kita tdk mengaku dosa,  kita membiarkan ada pekerjaan iblis yang lama2 akan meruntuhkan kita.

1. Arahkan pikiran kita pada IMAN.

Banyak hal yang dapat membuat aku tidak beriman. Segala sesuatu akan menjadi pengujian di pikiranku tapi arahkan pada iman  dan semuanya itu dimulai dari keputusan.

Arahkan pikiran pada Iman à  dari keputusan.

Memutuskan yang benar / tidak à  di pikiran.

Sumber :  Takut akan Tuhan  à  Punya Iman à  Pikiran Kristus.

Sesimple apa kita ambil keputusan à  sesimple kita takut akan Tuhan.

Arahkan pada Iman  à  ambil keputusan à SIMPLE !

Jangan tarik ulur utk hal yg tak ada gunanya.

Tuhan berkenan  à  Go ahead ; Tuhan tdk berkenan à  STOP.

à Make it simple à  Tidak cape ikut Tuhan.

So,  Takut akan Tuhan in all things, many things.

Ayat 22

Melalui FT ini,  aku belajar bahwa aku menyembah Tuhan dalam roh dan kebenaran,  Tuhan yang benar2 aku kenal.

Manusia cenderung  memiliki reaksi cepat / instant dgn apa yang ada di muka bumi,

manusia sangat instant dgn apa yang ada / kelihatan. Manusia suka bereaksi thd apa yang ia alami, instant dgn apa yang ia lihat

Contoh :

Ada AC à  duduk tenang, gembira .

AC mati à  jadi kepanasan lalu mengeluh  à  instant sekali  à  itulah manusia.

Damai sejahtera bisa berubah dari sebelum & sesudah makan.  Sebelum makan,   tidak tenang, emosi & sesudah makan baru rasa damai sejahtera.

Manusia menilai Tuhan dgn apa yang ia alami & lihat.

Ada masalah  à   menyalahkan Tuhan.

Manusia bereaksi dari apa yang dirasakan,  meresponse Tuhan seperti itu  à  Tuhan bisa ganti2,  bisa karir,  anak,  hobi yang jadi Tuhannya. Jika seorang meninggalkan panggilannya karena sesuatu à  itu yg menjadi ilahnya.

Jika manusia menilai Tuhan dari apa yg ia lihat / rasakan  à  semuanya itu tdk ada yang kekal  à  semuanya fana.

Sebaliknya Tuhan kekal  à  Tidak berubah  à

Sama seperti kita sbg orangtua sayang sama anak kita sekalipun anak kita bandel,  kita tetap sayang mereka  à  Tuhan tidak berubah.

Betapa jahatnya manusia yang suka bersungut-sungut pada Tuhan karena TUHAN TIDAK BERUBAH.

Sekalipun setan datang menyerang  à  Landaskan imanmu krn mengenal Yesus.

Manusia tidak bisa mencintai Tuhan berdasarkan perasaan tapi IMAN.

Landaskan imanmu karena pengenalan akan Yesus. Tuhan TIDAK PERNAH BERUBAH.

Dengan iman katakan :  GOD IS GOOD. . .  HE NEVER CHANGE.

Sesungguhnya,  apapun yang terjadi  & dlm kondisi terburuk sekalipun à  Tuhan tidak berubah,  bukan salah Tuhan  à  Kasih Tuhan tidak berubah.

Seperti bangsa Israel yang marah-marah terus lupa akan Tuhan.

Mengapa bersikap demikian?  Karena  KURANG MENGENAL YESUS.

Kita harus cek apa kita memiliki perasaan :  kok Tuhan gitu ya?  à  Kita kurang mengenal baik Tuhan.

Belajar dari Yesus :

Dia Tuhan namun Dia meninggalkan keilahian & jadi sama spt manusia.  Ia disiksa, dianiaya tapi diam saja,  Dia menahan semua siksaan & sakit yang Ia rasakan.

Yesus diam saja  à  Yesus mau lakukan itu,  padahal sakit sekali.  Namun Ia diam saja,  tdk ada pembelaan,  Ia spt domba yang kelu yang digunting bulunya.

Ia  mau,  rela disalibkan.

à Bagaimana aku kuat di dalam Tuhan a/  bagaimana aku kuat merenungkan penderitaan Yesus.  Jangan meresponse dari kondisi yang kita alami

Sebelum aku di muka bumi à  ada setan.

Masalah pasti ada,  spt naik kapal  tentu ada gelombang.

à Miliki  suatu pengenalan pribadi akan Tuhan à  Tuhan itu BAIK BANGET.
