Today is a day of ignorance from a close friend of mine. It is because he is busy. But it is a very small thing to be considered a big deal. Besides, he responded through text message, though his message is very short. The matter is a thing to overlook, and shouldn’t be taken offense of. It just brought me to the realization of my weakness. That is, when I am in a good condition, people don’t pay attention to me more often than when I am hurt, or in a bad condition. The bed thing I remember is that I tend to look for more problems than to look for things to be thankful for. It is, howerver, fine if I had been looking for problems to solve for others. I’d been looking for problems in a selfish way instead. Reminiscing of how selfcentered I had been makes me sad, as well as tempted to act the same because of people’s ignorance of me. That’s really selfish of me isn’t it?

Now let us look the bright side:

We might really feel bad when overlooked. But as I ponder about this, a correction came upon me. I thought, “Instead of doing bad, being considered KSP(Kulang sa Pansin or Lack of Attention in english), and being a burden to everyone? Why not stop indulging in the negative things, choose to be happy and star inspiring others?” This is a priceless lesson I’ve learned, as I have been helping myself heal and get closer to God. Life is too short to waste in things we can’t bring to heaven, why not plant seeds for eternity. Why not just choose to be happy and stop drawing yourself to sadness and frustrations of life and just harness your potential in cheering others up? Isn’t that a glorious deed indeed?

So smile now! Look for a friend to cheer up. And the next minute you’ll find yourself fullfilled through that.

National Scrapbooking Daytä (NSD) on vietetty USA:ssa joka vuosi toukokuun ensimmäisenä lauantaina vuodesta 1994 lähtien. Skräppäysharrastuksen levitessä USA:sta ympäri maailmaa päivä on muuttunut pikkuhiljaa iNSD:ksi. Päivää vietetään yleisesti skräppäysshoppaillen (kaupoissa on paljon erikoistarjouksia), kokoontumalla skräppäämään yhdessä (crop) joko ihan livenä tai virtuaalisesti netin välityksellä tai vain skräppäämällä ihan itsekseen.

Oma KSP -suunnitelmani on skräpätä (yllätys!), surffata netissä eri tapahtumissa (ainakin Facebookissa ja Two Peasin keskustelufoorumilla) ja pitäytyä ostamasta mitään! Tässä kuitenkin kaupallisen juhlapäivän kunniaksi muutama kuva viimeaikaisista ostoksistani (Papirloftetilta – jouduin muuten tulliin paketin kanssa, Norjahan ei ole EU maa kuten tulin kantapään kautta oppimaan…)

Mutta nyt skräppäämään… viime kerrasta onkin jo niin paljon aikaa, että taitaa olla taidot ihan ruosteessa. Mukavaa skräppäyspäivää kaikille

12/30/2008 — Scott Hill, an off-duty Boone County sheriff’s deputy shoots and kills a Brenda Pollit in Nicholas County over a horse.  He’d gone with his wife (a Florence police officer) and daughter to the Pollit farm to buy the horse from Pollit’s nephew Zachary, who was in the process of being thrown out of the house.

According to Travis Dailey, Zachary Pollit had called Hill, saying that if Hill didn’t come and get the horse Zachary was going to kill it.  When Hill reached the house, an argument with Pollit left her dead with multiple gunshot wounds.

After an investigation by Kentucky State Police Lieutenant Bart Taylor, no charges were filed.  Hill and his wife are both police officers, and had both been placed on administrative leave.

Questions remain, that haven’t been addressed in the news articles I’ve read.  Who actually owned the horse?  Was Hill buying the horse, confiscating it for its own protection, stealing it?  Why didn’t Zachary call the police in his own county, instead of bringing in a off-duty officer friend?  On whose testimony did Lt. Taylor decide on an events timeline?  Did Pollit know that Hill was an officer, or would she have been justified in thinking he was a horse thief when she went into the house and got her gun?

Most importantly: if Hill and his wife had been private citizens, would Lt. Taylor have concluded that the two armed private citizens on someone else’s property, possibly stealing their horse had acted in self-defense?

Smells dirty, doesn’t it?

On Feb 16, a grand jury elected not to indict Hill, and he will be returning to duty whenever he ‘feels up to it’.

香納諒一のワイルドなハードボイルド、いいんだよなァ〜。

Wczoraj minęło 90 lat, odkąd Polska jest  wolnym krajem. A przynajmniej jest Polską. Ja tę podniosłą rocznicę spędziłem bardzo wery qlturalnie i przyjemnie.

A spędziłem ją z kumplem z gimnazjum i jego ziomami, słuchając, jak próbują utwory Metalliki. No, całkiem fajnie próbują. Ma to sens, ma to nogi, a oni mają ambicję, bo grają całe utwory bez ułatwiani sobie cięciem ich. Ponieważ wygadałem się, że kiedyś, kiedyśtam darłem japę na dwóch-trzech próbach i darłem ją do “Walk” Pantery, więc uznali, że mogę z nimi zaśpiewać rzeczony utwór… Zaśpiewałem… BNie sądzę, by to było właściwe określenie. Raczej wydawałem dźwięki w duchu grind/noise/hardcore z lat ‘80. Uznałem, że jeśli mam ambicje hardcore’owe, to trza się zabrać za szlifowanie gardła…

No, a po paru chwilach, wspólnie rodzinnie poszliśmy do Teatru Muzycznego Roma na spektakl “Upiór W Operze”.
Pierwsza połowa przepłynęła pod znakiem oczekiwania na spadający kandelabr. Niewiele się w niej działo aktorsko. Ot, przejść, zaśpiewać i pójść. Nie, że masakra, ale mogło być lepiej. Za to z dekoracjami już lepiej nie mogło być! Monumentalne wnętrza i sceny Opery, jej animowane podziemia – to naprawdę robi megowe wrażenie.
Spadł żyrandol i skończyła się część pierwsza. Podnieśli żyrandol i zaczęła się część druga. Jakieś -naście, czy -dziesiąt klas lepsza od początku spektaklu. Początkowy bal na schodach, oryginalna, perfekcyjnie wykonana choreografia robią ogromne wrażenie! Tutaj wreszcie mamy mamy cuśko aktorstwa, gdy Upiór się zmaga z uczuciami, mamy też troszku akcji. No i mamy mały problem, bo aktorka grająca Christine, ukochaną Upiora, śpiewa cusiek niewyraźnie. Najbardziej było to widać w scenie, gdy odwiedza grób ojca. Klimatyczna scena, ładna melodia, ale niewiele rozumiemy z piosenki… No, ale to jedyny minusik.
Generalnie, sumując spektakl wychodzi na plus. Jeśli ktoś się wybiera, to przytakuję i zaznaczam, że II połowa równoważy I i warto poczekać na nią, choćby pierwsza nas lekko “zaniepokoiła”…

A, przed wyjściem przypomniałem sobie o meczu Polonii z Piastem Gliwice, na który z racji spektaklu pójść nie mogłem. Po powrocie się dowiedziałem o wyniku. Nie wiem, jak grała Polonia, ale wiem, że wygrali 1:0 po karniaku Radka Mynara. Zaś Legia przegrała tyle samo z GKS Bełchatów, khym, khym…

Tyle się ostatnio działo, że nie daję rady na bieżąco umieszczać notek. No, ale korzystając z wolnej chwili nadrabiam to!
Najpierw notka z 8.11. Oprócz filmu o Bondzie, a nawet przed filmem o Bondzie, widziałem dwa mecze. Dwa mecze dwóch ulubionych drużyn. W pierwszym, w ramach angielskiej Premiership, gospodarzem był Arsenal Londyn i gościł on Manchester United. Tak, to mogło oznaczać mecz nad mecze, szczyt szczytów i rzeźnię niepojmowalną! I tak też było! Arsenal wygrał 2:1 po dwóch golach Nasriego, ale Man cisnął tak mocnoi, że omal szalika nie zjadłem…
A potem, już na żywca poszliśmy się wespół w zespół z tatą na Konwiktorską 6, celem obejrzenia meczu Polonii Warszawa z Jagiellonią Białystok. Wysłaliśmy sms-a do wujka-kibica Jagi, odśpiewałem hymn, dumnie wznosząc szalik, a potem mecz się zaczął… i trwał… i trwał… i trwał… i trwał… Aż zmarźliśmy i wyszliśmy na klika minut przed końcem… To nie była ta Polonia, co to ją znamy jako lidera. Jakaś taka smętna, ustępująca pola ambicji Jadze, która zdecydowanie bardziej się rzucała do walki, choć skuteczność w tabeli i tak miała gorszą od Czarnych Koszul. Jakoś nie był to zajmujący mecz, zwłaszcza po obejrzanym wcześniej szlagierze ligi angielskiej…

Hmm,, bulan November, akan diadakan makrab KSP (atau mungkin lebih tepatnya ‘outbound’ ya?? Karena sudah lama, sepertinya sudah lumayan saling kenal di antara anggota KSP)

Dan, pada bulan November tersebut, rencananya juga akan terjadi pergantian pengurus ke-tiga KS secara bersamaan (bulannya,, bukan harinya lho..)

“Sixteen” is a sequence generated by a few simple equations within Native Instruments’ KSP processor for the Kontakt sampler. Utilizing 113 different samples, mapped across the keyboard, we explore the number 16 within the sequence as both a common musical value (the 16th note) and a point of reference for measuring voice allocation.

Once the sequence is triggered, a loop is initiated. Different note values are selected at random while note velocities are selected from an array of 16 possibilities. The outcome of the velocity value is then divided by 16. That quotient is the number of 16th notes until the next note is triggered. It is a simple equation that naturally invokes complex syncopation and musical patterns within the given sample set. Here is one example outcome: Sixteen
