I’ve never really seen lace leggings/tights (or any other kind of leggings/tights in general, asides from plain) pulled off well.

She, however, does it pretty well & looks precious

Next point: I have found out that there is no American Apparel in the Middle East/Egypt (GOSHDARNIT) but there is H&M and La Senza. Those 2 alone could kill me shopping. Lookie what I found on the H&M website. I suddenly know the colour of Sin- Red, Glorious Red. Come to Mama!

I am torn between indulging myself in my shopaholic dreamzzz and being somewhat moral. HOW MUCH MONEY SHOULD I CHANGE ?!?!?!

To compromise, I have promised myself to only buy a maximum of 2-3 pairs of shoes. And maybe throw in a couple of dresses…

I think that’s fair because I have been restricting myself- just last night I had a dream, I went shopping in a fabulous boutique with a long sleek black sales counter (I swear it was like 3m long) and I bought 2 items (one was a pair of fabulous shoes of course) and somehow, I did not check the price tag(s). The 2 items ended up bankrupting me. My dream ended with me being agog at my negative bank account balance.

I cannot tell if this dream is telling me to spend wisely or to indulge myself because it is OBVIOUS how my repressed desires are negatively affecting me even whilst I sleep. Right?

Guess who’s gonna have fun restricting me? HEEHEE.

Yes, my birthday! Not that at my age it is anything particularly special but special enough for me

Yes, my birthday! Not that at my age it is anything particularly special but special enough for me to linger a little longer in bed this morning, teasing my nipples through the satin of my PJ’s and fantasising of what might have been had i been born in a woman’s body. All quite arousing both phyisically and emotionally but not good for a gurl in chastity! So, i did not linger too long but got up and shaved, showered and moisturised. i treated myself to my twice weekly depilation, exfoliation and moisturisation and when i had done, added an extra splash of perfume before slipping into a lovely matching pink lace and mesh bra and thong set which i really love. It had to be pink today of all days! What a pity i had to be at work and so had to put on ugly male clothes over the top! i wore the pink, grey and brown shoes that Mistress Ana brought me from Thailand which was appropriate because as soon as i got to my desk this morning She was online and we were able to chat briefly. She was very tired and had had to delay Her departure for Thailand because the equipment She was taking proved too big for checked in baggage and had to be sent by courier. As a result She was only wait-listed on the next flight so i am hoping all went well and that She has arrived safely.

We did discuss Mistress’ ideas for a forthcoming lunch She will throw for D/s friends and associates and She will want myself and Her other slave, Paul to be there to serve in all meanings of the word and She did intimate that it would be a cock and pussy feast! i know that will mean giving oral service to Mistress and/or Her guests and it is something i have long fantasised about. i have said before on these pages that being a slave in a situation that is entirely private is fine but there is something special when one’s servitude and devotion to an Owner is demonstrated publicly in this way. Many would consider it to be humiliating and degrading but in essence it is quite the opposite for it shows strength of character and devotion to another that speaks volumes more than the average expression of devotion in a vanilla relationship. When the time comes, i shall serve to the best of my ability in whatever manner Mistress requires for i consider myself to be an extension of Her body and will, an instrument for Her pleasure and am proud to be chosen for whatever purpose She considers me suitable.

Mistress and i also have been discussing a new local Chapter of an ClubFEM, an international organisation for Dominant Females and submissive males. The FEM stands for “Females Enslaving Males.” They plan to have social gatherings, both vanilla and fetish, and this will be another forum where i shall hope to be able to make public my servitude and position as slave belonging to Mistress Ana. The Club has a silver pendant and Mistress has asked me to see if i can get a gold version made for Her while i am away, a task that i shall carry out with pleasure.

The rest of my day was like any other day at work and with so much going on at the moment as i try to generate business, quite hectic. i worked into the evening even though it was my birthday. i had planned on dressing fully “en femme” and venturing to a bar for a drink but it became impossible when my associate decided that he was not going anywhere this evening. i could have gone out in male mode but saw nothing special in that so decided to just work on and listen to music while i did so, holed up in my room with the door locked where at least i could slip into a dress and wig, be my feminine self and catch up on some useful document preparations.

Black Friday is a two days away, and for those that venture to make a line drive through sales racks

Black Friday is a two days away, and for those that venture to make a line drive through sales racks while hoards of others gut for the same items, it’s an ideal time to think about the internship wardrobe.

Lace, an often underrated choice for the young and employed (or looking to be employed,) but this season’s runway designers are making it impossible to resist.

Designers across the board, from Laundry by Shelli Segal to Rugby to Rodale for Target are showing off the femininity of the neckline with black contemporary lace dresses. For a snappy business casual outfit, try pairing a lace Free People long-sleeve top ($48, Bloomingdales.com) with J Brand’s Mid-Rise Cigarette jeans (SALE $111) and Marc Jacobs Cap Toe Pump ($310.)

Black lace skirts, like BBDakota’s or DVF’s can be matched with a bright seasonal reds and dark purples, silk lose tops. A little lace can be a distinctive piece for an interview, and even transition into the evening. Change up the look from day to night with long necklaces and a metallic jacket.

There is always a place for lace in your fashion rotation and by grabbing it now you will have a fabulously classy piece to turn to.

Since I owe a week’s (?) worth for an entry:

GAAH. I am sick. Very sick, fever, coughing and the runs (on my nose, mind you!). And it came from out of nowhere! I felt fine yesterday, I danced and trained and then this morning BOOM! Like a rug pulled under me, I woke up with a splitting headache and a thermometer screaming 38. I am thinking about not going to my 7:30 class tomorrow to rest. And as always, I do have a lot of stuff in my head and here’s one of the nagging thoughts I had since last week.

I got a lace top, transparent and unwearable! The whole thing with lace right now is in right? HAHA. Like I said, fashion trends get to me late and I’m actually picky if I’d like to follow said trend or not. See-through lace kinda scared me but I wanted so much to try and wear it and I was looking for ways how to.

Here’s a modest take from Tricia Gosingtian who wore a nice Topshop dress:

I love her boots and the way she wears her clothes and the dress itself (visit her site, but I think it’s too dressy for me. Where would I go? Right, I promised my girls we’d go out more often. Hee

And then I was watching “The Women” on HBO, I noticed Jada Pinkett-Smith wear the lace under a leather jacket. Couldn’t find a nicer photo to showcase the outfit better, this is the best that I could do:

Basically, I found a way to wear it. Now to find a nice jacket to pair with the jeans and the lace top I just got. Good luck to me.

On another note, on a very very far note: I’m going on an immersion to Lubao,Pampanga this Friday. I’m excited and scared out of my wits, I’ve been constantly re-checking what to bring. (Which reminds me I have to have look for a good flashlight!) We’re going to the farmers sector and live with the family’s there. I’m nervous – will my foster parents like me? I hope my fever dies down and my sniffles will shut it by tomorrow. It would be embarrassing if my foster family got sick because of me. :s

As always, another day another obstacle to tackle. More on that later. Still debating on whether or not I should go to class tomorrow so I can rest up for my trip.

What do you think?

A busy day today with a number of meetings. i chose the same olive-grey lace bra to wear today as i wore yesterday but today chose a lilac coloured thong. Not exactly colour coordinated but then a gurl can’t have everything, especially with a limited wardrobe which, when travelling is even more restricted.

Chatted briefly online with Mistress Ana today. she is preparing for another trip to Thailand and once again has a luggage allowance problem. With taking so much equipment over to their clinic/resort there, each time She goes She is pushing the bounds of what airlines will allow.

No contact with Goddess Joyce today so am wondering about whether baby Vincent has decided to get his act together? i will find out tomorrow no doubt.

One of my meetings today was with a corporate lawyer in his company’s offices. i was met by a very attractive receptionist who bade me sit down and wait for the lawyer i was meeting to come through. As i waited, female lawyers, legal secretaries and other female staff were busying around and all were stunningly attractive. This is not unusual here in Peru where women always make the best of themselves and manage to look good at all times but it is also something i notice about the offices of all the lawyers i have met here. All of their women are beautiful with stunning figures and are expensively and elegantly dressed. i was sat musing over whether this was because of a recruitment policy or because the charges lawyers are renowned for making pays for the clothing and probably a significant amount of cosmetic surgery besides when i was ushered through to a meeting room by a guy dressed like a waiter who offered to make me tea or coffee. It broke my reverie for a moment but then, as he went off to make my tea, had me thinking what it must be like to be at the lowest end of the food chain in such an office full of gorgeous women and being their errand boy, placing myself in such a position and then moving on to fantasise about Mistress Ana’s desire to have me fixed permanently beneath Her office desk in Thailand where i would be available to serve her orally whilever She was at Her desk, irrespective of whoever else might enter the room. By the time my lawyer arrived for the meeting, i was really quite lost in my fantasy! Oh to be chained to a desk, Mistress Ana’s desk! One day, Mistress Ana, one day……………

Malak El Ezzawy, one of our favorite local evening wear designers, tributes the “Little Black

Malak El Ezzawy, one of our favorite local evening wear designers, tributes the “Little Black Dress” this fall with her limited edition collection. What I love, is that it is a perfect addition to my LBD post (posted a couple of weeks ealier, click here). As mentioned before, the LBD transcends time and trends and is the perfect “throw it on and still look chic” dress. A staple in every woman’s wardrobe, just like a man’s white chemise. Below is a sample preview of her limited edition collection, more on this Facebook link, and in store at the Melodies Atelier at 24 Tharwa St., Mohandeseen, ground floor.

Malak’s LBD collection is full of lace, as we call it in Egypt, dentelle. The dress below worn by Menna Shalaby is a dentelle top with a chiffon and tulle skirt and a sexy low back.

Menna Shalaby wearing Malak's LBD

This LBD is the perfectly structured tube dress, which I believe, will be flattering to many. The dress is very futuristic (which I don’t usually like, but this is cool). I also love how the designer utilized both polka dot and stripped prints on one canvas.

Polka Dot & Stripped Structured LBD

This matte paillette, aka sequined, one shoulder LBD is IT! The fall season is all about embellishment & sequins, in addition to asymmetric dresses. I guess this LBD is an ALL-IN-ONE must have!

Matte Paillette One Shoulder LBD

I decided to end this post on the perfectly simple, yet sexy, LBD. The uniqueness of this dress comes not only from its simplicity but its texture. Velvet is a material that faded away for a while, but is back it style and feels very rich.

No silly dreams last night, i slept soundly and woke up refreshed ready for the start of another wee

No silly dreams last night, i slept soundly and woke up refreshed ready for the start of another week on the road. i chose my olive-grey lace bra this morning, it is one of my favourites for it pushes my breasts out nicely and is very comfortable. With them i put on almost transparent grey mesh panties from La Senza , one of my favourite underwear stores that i visit whenever i am in Toronto. Sadly, the weekend being over, it was male outer clothes all day although, of course i wore stiletto heels, a lovely maroon pair with an open toe and a small platform, while at my desk, which was most of the day.

i had received a mountain of messages overnight and most needed to be dealt with quite urgently and then there was the work i had scheduled for today that couln’t be put off. So, it was a long day but it was at least pleasantly interspersed with conversations online and over the phone with Mistress Ana and Goddess Joyce respectively. It was, as ever, lovely to chat with Mistress Ana, even though in the course of the conversation i managed to earn two causes for punishment on my return. The first for not admitting quickly enough that She was always at least one step ahead of my thoughts and the second for still not having painted the humbler bright red. i explained that i have the paint but that i have to be very careful and discrete in when and where i do the painting, all of which is true but my delay on this is not acceptable and so i shall be punished,

To an outsider, the beating i shall get for these two misdemeanours might seem harsh but i accept them quite gladly. People might think that anyone who allows another to paddle his rear or whip him must have something missing upstairs but that is not the case. The exercise is one in which Mistress reasserts Her authority and control and is necessary so as to maintain the Owner/slave relationship and keeps me, the slave, very much in my place. Believe it or not, but i actually need this form of discipline and although it hurts and i never actually relish the painful aspects of it, it is a bonding experience and one after which i feel so emotionally close to my Owner that the elation is hard to describe. Elation? Yes, for i am filled with respect for Mistress Ana plus love and joy that i belong to such a strong willed woman who could have number of slaves but has included me among them and has given me in return, Her love and Her nurturing. D/s is not all about punishment, there is the nurturing aspect also and Mistress has been more than generous in Her gifts to me both physical, like the shoes, handbag and clothing for example, as well as in shaping my behaviour, my femininity and my emotional well being.

So, though i now have punishment lined up, i knew that i would have some punishment and need some discipline when i am next with Mistress anyway. My chat on the phone with Goddess Joyce was equally enjoyable even though i failed to find the wine that She specifically requested. The truth is that it does not exist. i tried the best wine merchants in Lima and even went to the winemaker’s website and discovered that it does not exist, not these days anyway. i suspect it to be a wine that She enjoyed several years ago and that it has been superceded. In any event, there will be some additional punishment for me there no doubt, especially because i could not find the raspberry leaf tea either! But punishment shows that She cares and that i too care enough to do my best for Her when running errands.

Such failures are not crimes as such for they cannot be helped but they would be if i were to be deliberately lax in my efforts. In that case, the punishment is a way of making me shape up or ship out. If i did not want to serve then i would not serve well and so would resent the punishment and would walk away from the relationship. The essence of the discipline is that by accepting it i am confirming that i truly do wish to continue in the relationship and that i need to do more to please my Owner. Everything has its price, and the punishment and pain that goes with discipline is the payment for the joy of belonging to and having a close personal relationship in service of beautiful, strong willed women like Mistress Ana, Goddess Joyce and Lady Dynah, each of whom i adore and am very proud to know and serve.

This one was a nail biter. OK, it was for me . There was no former project to scavenge for this samp

This one was a nail biter. OK, it was for me . There was no former project to scavenge for this sample, so I ordered some Cascade 220 in Burnt Orange from my LYS. In mid-August. Granted, not the time they usually stock wool, so when they said it would be about a month to get it in, I didn’t sweat it. Heck I was way too busy in September to knit this up anyway.

September came and went, no call. October came in a flurry, and even though I didn’t have time then either, I did call to check on the status of the order – nothing in yet, no ETA. Then I started to get worried – I mean, much of the reason I chose the burnt orange was to compliment the fall colours (which can be notoriously fickle in both onset and duration) – things were getting pretty vibrant out there… I call again the end of the 3rd week of October and YES! The order is in!! Fabulous. Oh, wait, my colour is back ordered. So not good. No ETA on it. But they did have a popular Heathers colour called Provence that was rust/orange/flecks of green and yellow that was similar to a burnt orange, did I want that?

Ummm, YES!

I think by the time I picked up the yarn and wound a few balls, it was around the 23rd. We’re talking one good wind storm away from all the leaves disappearing. I start whipping up a sleeve… only to find out that my gauge was different with the Heathers than with the Cascade 220 Wool I swatched with. Panic or different fibre tendencies, I have no idea, but back up to 4.5mm needle I went, ripped, and started over. (Sleeves are such good gauge swatches!)

Sleeves done in a couple of days, excellent. Start the body. Flying through the lace – realize I’ve missed the start of the decreases for the Petite version. Ah, well, cardigans are great when they are longer, aren’t they? So I made up a standard size C (one size larger than the Pullover and Tee samples).

And sewed in all the ends on October 29th. There’s something to be said for knitting up something similar to two other things I’d made, but still I think that’s a finger speed record for me. I was surprised I didn’t end up with wrist problems after that!

So DH and I go off on Oct 30th, looking for a spot to take pictures. And in the suburbs, all the leaves had hit the dirt . So we start driving downtown, where DH saw lots that morning – and then exclaimed as we were driving in that “those trees were covered 6 hours ago!!”. By the time we made it to a park beside campus, we were very relieved to see at least a few leaves still around – we cut this down to the wire!

In the end, the standard size is actually too big on me (it looks like the waistline is actually on my waist, when it’s written to be an empire), but oh, is the Cascade ever soft and warm. Especially when I’ve done the first half of the photoshoot in cotton . The colour is a rich rust/orange, perfect for fall, and has no pink undertones in it (that my monitor kept showing me when I was trying to pick out colours from online catalogues!).

A V-neck pullover with lace up to the empire waistline and side vents. Two V-neck depths, instructions for optional bust darts and lengthen/shorten lines are included. Both the body and sleeves are worked from the bottom up, in the round. The 8 sizes are divided into two sets of instructions with 4 sizes each for clarity.

The “techniques” section contains short instructions on wrap & turn, 3-needle bind-off, and single crochet (for back neck finishing) with web links for further information. Schematics, charts, and written instructions are all included. All measurements are offered both in inches and centimetres.

Worked in 900-1360 yds (825-1250 m) worsted weight yarn, for garment bust sizes of 31 to 48.75 inches (79 to 124 cm), with 1 to 3 inches (2.5 to 7.5 cm) positive ease suggested (sample knit with effectively less than 1″, and it’s a bit too tight to wear over a t-shirt). Works well as a stand-alone garment with the smaller ease, or over tank tops and t-shirts for cooler weather.

70 inches (1.75 m) ribbon is used in waistband.

Lace is worked on the right side only, in a 8-stitch repeat using ssk, k2tog, psso, and yo.

Let’s start the week with some inspiration! Bethan’s just stumbled across Sadie Olive, a lovely blog written by Sara Duckett, a Californian photographer. Her love of vintage lace, antiques and all things pretty means every post is a visual treat.

This makes me want to rush home and tie pink velvet ribbons around my vintage cutlery too! At the moment, we store it all in French Cassoulet tins – practical, but not half as pretty!

What a lovely start to to the week! I love the vintage scales above, and the beautiful styling in these shots. On closer inspection, it turns out Sadie Olive is not just a blog – it’s a whole empire! Sara runs three shops – she sells antiques, postcards and prints of her photographs, does graphic design and sells collectibles…is there anything she doesn’t do?! She’s also on her third blog. I’m exhausted just thinking about it. – Ellie
