Alleged Hislop Letters Prove Nothing

The alleged and dubious Hislop Letters (which do not reflect Dr John Hislop’s known writing style) are NOT “proof” that Sathya Sai Baba did anything wrong. The alleged Hislop Letters simply document a dubious complaint made against Sathya Sai Baba by Terry Lee Scott (a former student at Sai Baba’s College).

Terry Lee Scott was actually “expelled in disgrace” from Sai Baba’s Hostel (the details of which have never been released by Ex-Devotees or Diana Scott). After Terry Lee Scott was “expelled in disgrace from the Hostel”, only then did he make his allegations against Sai Baba. It is no secret that Sathya Sai Baba has been accused of sexual impropriety by Tal Brooke (whose allegations have been circulating since the mid 70’s at Sai Baba’s ashrams). Therefore, Terry Lee Scott could have simply repeated a rumor pertaining to Tal Brooke’s allegations. The alleged Hislop Letters are not “proof” or “evidence” of sexual abuse. If anything, the alleged Jack Hislop letters are proof that someone complained about Sai Baba. That’s it.

Terry Lee Scott’s mother (Diana Scott) never filed a basic police complaint, public grievance or court case against Sathya Sai Baba in India for any alleged impropriety and is thereby guilty of being an “accomplice in sexual molestation crimes” (an argument repeatedly used by Ex-Devotees, particularly Timothy Conway). Since Diana Scott refused to do the ethical, moral and legal thing by filing a basic police complaint, court case or public greivance against Sathya Sai Baba in India, she is guilty of ignoring her son’s allegations. What kind of mother would ignore the alleged molestation of her child and simply send out complaint letters?

Terry Lee Scott’s Own Father Didn’t Believe Him

It is surprising to note that Terry Lee Scott’s own father did not believe his own son’s allegations against Sathya Sai Baba. This resulted in a divorce! Terry Lee Scott’s father would have known all the intimate and private details regarding the allegations. Terry Lee Scott’s father was not convinced.

Dr John Hislop Investigates

Based on the alleged letters, John Hislop (also called “Jack Hislop”):

1. Investigated the matter most thoroughly.
2. Made explicit inquiries directly to Sai Baba.
3. Made explicit inquiries directly to various individuals who worked at Sai Baba’s Brindavan College (specifically mentioning Jack Hand by name).
4. Obtained information that Terry Lee Scott had actually been “expelled in disgrace” from the Hostel just before he made his allegations against Sai Baba.
5. Was ultimately convinced beyond all doubt that there was no truth to the rumors against Sai Baba.

If it looks like an unsubstantiated rumor, sounds like an unsubstantiated rumor, reads like an unsubstantiated rumor….it’s an unsubstantiated rumor!

John Hislop Letters – Final Thoughts

As already disscussed before, the main people ranting and raving about the alleged Hislop Letters are:

1. Timothy Conway (a Guru promoter, New Age advocate and UFO conspiracist who believes that Sathya Sai Baba may have molested alleged victims like aliens are alleged to do through abductions!)
2. Robert Priddy (an LSD advocate who has openly falsified sexual molestatation claims and who has a history of claiming to possesses telepathy)
3. Conny Larsson (a self-proclaimed Prophet and psychic trance medium for the spirit of Maharishi Vyasa)

All of these facts should rightly raise suspicion and doubt about the alleged integrity of Anti-Baba sychophants who would have everyone infer something sinister through blind speculation and blind belief.

It is 100% true that Robert Priddy’s primary Anti-Sai webpage was indexed on porn sites because Priddy paid to get his Anti-Sai Site listed on SeekInsider.com (which is a no longer existent, pay-per-click Search Engine) under the Category: “World Wide Sex Com – World Wide Sex Directory – World Wide Sex” (View Google Cache)! Guess Robert Priddy did not have the foresight to see that by listing his website on a World Wide Sex Directory, porn sites would index his site for content! Of course, none of this is surprising considering that Robert Priddy is an LSD Advocate who is thoroughly obsessed with genital oilings and relishes projecting his homoerotic fantasies onto Moreno.

Robert Priddy’s criticisms against Moreno are a source of great amusement considering that Robert Priddy is very good buddies with openly bisexual Conny Larsson (who is admittedly sexually attracted to men and who is no stranger to homosexual sex)!

Swedish football striker Henrik Larsson retires from professional football.

Yesterday the former Celtic and Barcelona striker announced his retirement. After 16 years as a professional football player he has come to the decision to put his career to an end.

“I am now 38. It’s enough,” Larsson says in a press statement. “Now it’s time for something else”. His decision to retire has been developed over time.

Larsson, who plays for the Helsingborg team in the Swedish premier division, will play two more matches in the Swedish league before he does his final match when the season ends on 1 November. After that he will put his red and blue Helsingborg sweater on the shelf and go for a well deserved vacation.

During the 2000-01 season when playing for Celtic, Henrik Larsson won the Golden Boot for being Europe’s top scorer. Amongst Celtic supporters he is known as ‘The King of Kings’.

Larsson also played in Manchester during 2007. He participated in three World Cups and three European Championships and scored 37 goals in his 106 international matches for the Swedish team. Over the  years, Larsson has retired from the Swedish team several times, but he always came back when they needed him to help support his national team.

When Larsson helped Barcelona beat Arsenal with 2-1 in 2006 it became his biggest European triumph. Barcelona received it’s first Champions League title in 14 years and Henrik Larsson became the hero.

Back in Helsingborg, sports journalist Martin Bergstroem, reveal his opinion on the matter.

“He is without a doubt one of Sweden’s absolute best football players throughout history. Of course that makes his retirement a loss for the Swedish national team and for his fellow club players in Helsingborg,” Martin Bergstroem tells Edinburgh Napier News. “Larsson’s shoes leaves a big empty hole to fill out, which opens up for new, younger players to rise in Swedish football.”

“Although, Larsson’s decision was expected,” Bergstroem continues “I think he did the right thing now when Sweden missed out on the World Championships and Helsingborg at the same time missed their chance to this year’s gold medal”.

Say what you want about Sweden loosing one of their greatest football strikers, but Larsson has plans on a future as a trainer. “If he decides to stay in the football world and help develop other players, we should consider ourselves lucky’”, says Bergstroem.

After this mornings press statement with his home club in Helsingborg, Larsson stated that he is fully satisfied with his decision. “It has developed furthermore during this season. Of course, it has been tough, but it was a tougher decision leaving the Celtic,” Larsson said. ”I have enjoyed my career and am very grateful to everyone who has supported me ,” he finished his statement.

Björn Larsson et Mona Ozouf. Björn  Larsson, président d’honneur, suédois, voyageur inlassable, professeur de littérature, a dédicacé avec le sourire jusqu’à manquer d’ouvrages. Les échanges avec le public ont été chaleureux.

Quant à la deuxième invitée d’honneur, Mona Ozouf, elle a ravi son public dès 14H30 le samedi, lors d’un entretien animé par Annaïg Renault, à propos de son oeuvre et de son dernier ouvrage ” Composition française Retour sur une enfance bretonne “. Sequel to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, which is useful to have read previously.  That was good, this is even better. A very complex mystery with many threads going at once, lots of side actions, along with social commentary on treatment of women and the mentally unwell, police procedures, and the press. Hard to put down. The writing has a journalistic style with little embellishment, but very effective. Give it a B+.

The third and final book of the Millenium trilogy by the late Stieg Larsson is out, at least in the UK, and it is supremely entertaining. Just like its predecessors The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets’ Nest is a joy to read. But unlike the previous books this one doesn’t provide the same tense ride. Rather this book, unlike The Girl Who Played With Fire, is a direct sequel to its predecessor. It takes place immediately after the events of the second, but quickly loses the pace of the others.

Part of the problem is that the book for the main heroine is set in one of two rather boring places – the hospital or the court room. All the events of the book happen around Lisbeth Salander, stripping her of the strength she was embued with in the previous books. Her skills exist with computers and mathematics continue to exist but play little in developing the story. There is only one point that any chance of change with Salander occurs and that’s based on the events of the previous book, when she got shot. Sadly, it never comes to fruition and instead is dismissed as a brief interlude that seemed to take only one paragraph to resolve.

Salander sits out the majority of the book, a puppet to the other players in this drama oblivious to most of the ongoings of all save those in her immediate vicinity. Mikael Blomkvist instead is, for lack of a better word/term, the one and only well informed player with powers that rival any omnipotent narrator. This doesn’t make for a bad book, rather it makes me feel that Stieg Larsson died too soon and thus wasn’t able to edit the book and make the changes he felt were needed.

Instead there are plenty of other strong women throughout the novel but all of them need Blomkvist at some point or in some way – undermining the purpose of the series, at least I think so. Either way, the book was a good, entertaining read that I found hard to put down and makes me excited to see the film version of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo,  whenever it makes its way to the USA.

The one final thing I have to note, having read the British version of this book it was really nice to see that they kept all of the locations in Sweden in Swedish. Now it may not seem like much, but to me it’s nice to see that we’re slowly getting over this attitude that we were the first to discover the world – after all Göteborg isn’t the only place with an English equivalent.

In het tweede Millenium-boek ‘De vrouw die met vuur speelde’ voert schrijver Stieg Larsson de bokser Paolo Roberto ten tonele. De reden lijkt duidelijk; Stieg zocht een personage dat zich fysiek kon meten met het mysterieuze monster Ronald Niedermann. Een fluitje van een cent, want Stieg schept met ogenschijnlijk gemak het ene na het andere personage. Een fictieve bokser bedenken, met alle gewenste eigenschappen, moet voor hem geen probleem geweest zijn.

Maar ook hier demonstreert Stieg overduidelijk zijn hang naar het willen opereren op de grens van feiten en fictie. Hij schept geen fictieve bokser, maar schuift doodleuk de bestaande profbokser Paolo Roberto zijn verzonnen verhaal binnen. Deze Rocky van het hoge noorden werd in 1969 geboren in Zweden, was een streetfighter en begon op zijn 24e als professional. Zijn laatste tegenstander trof hij in 2003, maar deze bleek in de tweede ronde al te sterk en Roberto hing zijn handschoenen definitief aan de wilgen. Op Wikipedia staan uitgebreide statistieken met betrekking tot de loopbaan van Paolo Roberto.

Het had een willekeurige vechtersbaas kunnen zijn die Miriam Wu moest redden uit de vernietigende handen van Ronald Niedermann. Misschien moet je een Zweed zijn om te begrijpen waarom het zo leuk was om dit door Paolo Roberto te laten uitvoeren. Aan Stieg kunnen we helaas niet meer vragen. Ik denk dat hij zou zeggen dat hij het vooral zelf een erg grappig idee vond.

Maar de grap rolt nog een stukje verder dan Stieg wellicht had durven denken. Zoals je waarschijnlijk wel weet komt er een ook een verfilming van het tweede en derde deel van de Millennium trilogie. En wie denk je dat de rol van de profbokser mag spelen? Precies. Paolo Roberto speelde in 1987 al eens in een film (Stockholmsnatt) en is door allerlei televisieoptredens een echte BZ-er (Bekende Zweed) geworden. Zo nam hij onder andere deel aan de Zweedse versie van Dancing with the Stars.

Misschien doen wij in literair opzicht wel te weinig met onze Hollandse helden. Denk alleen al eens aan onze driemaal olympisch brons winnende held Arnold Vanderlyde. Die hult zijn gespierde torso tegenwoordig in een maatpak om het bedrijfsleven te behagen (www.vanderlyde.nl). Ik zeg, zonde van zo’n prachtige jongen. Is er misschien een talentvolle Nederlandse schrijver die deze toffe gast een leuke gastrol wil geven in zijn boek? Arnold de ex-profbokser die even orde op zake komt stellen in een hok met criminelen? Ik verheug me nu al op de verfilming.

Å ena sidan har vi nu SD:s rasism och hets mot folkgrupp - och å andra sidan islamistisk anti-semitism  och hets mot folkgrupp. Man vill inte tro att sådana demaskeringar tillåts demonstrera sitt hat på öppen gata och i tidningsartiklar i Sverige 2009.

Men så är det – och det jag inte kan begripa är att det kan vara lagligt. Det är hets mot folkgrupp, i båda fallen, hur kan det då ostraffat få äga rum?

Jag vill påminna om de högerextremismens historiska trådar som lundasociologen Göran Dahl spårar in i nutiden i sin bok Radikalare än Hitler? : de esoteriska och gröna nazisterna: inspirationskällor, pionjärer, förvaltare och ättlingar  (2006. Stockholm: Atlantis), vilken jag tog upp i bloggposten “Det ockulta högerspöket går igen“. Enligt Thomas Nydahls recension av  Göran Dahls   granskning sägs nämligen:

Igår avslutade en av de största svenska idrottarna sin karriär. Han gjorde det med nummer 17 på ryggen, ett nummer ingen efter honom kommer att bära i Helsingborgs laguppställning – Henrik Larsson, vad hade svensk fotboll varit utan dig?

Efter matchen spelades det upp hälsningar från hela världen på storbildskärmen till Henke, ett mäktigt ögonblick – säkerligen ett som kommer att stanna hos Henrik såväl som de i publiken för resten av livet.

El festival de novela policiaca “Getafe Negro” ha vuelto en la semana del 19 al 25 de noviembre. Dentro del mismo, se ha rendido un merecido homenaje al desarrollo de este género en los países escandinavos, especialmente en Suecia.

De regalo sin cumpleaños a cumpleaños sin regalo.

Pero oye, por ahí que nos fuimos unos cuantos a cenar! Cuando terminé las clases me fui a casa del cumpleañero… como quería darle una sorpresa (ya que no llevaba regalo) llamé a la casa de su vecina que me abrió el portal. Una vez en el piso llamada al timbre y recibimiento de un muchacho al que no conocía que pasé (automáticamente) a denominar “pelopincho” dada la cresta de su cabeza… ¿Victor? -pregunto-. En su cuarto -me contesta-. Yo que ya había estado en casa de V. me dirigí a su puerta, giré el picaporte, empujé… no podía abrir la puerta… segundo intento… nada… Vamos, que al final tuve que dar una leve patada y entrar en la habitación a lo Jackie Chan, sin dañar el mobiliario, por supuesto.

La visita al parecer le hizo ilusión al muchacho, que dejó los deberes pendientes para otro momento. Una vez allí y gracias a la red de redes y el teléfono nos pusimos a contactar con la gente para irnos a cenar todos juntos. Unos vinieron y otros no. Pero claro, la capital es muy grande y cada uno estábamos en una punta… total, que a recoger al personal en coche. Problema: yo de copiloto… a ver, que no es que yo dirija mal, es que yo voy por el camino más corto aunque solo puedan pasar “bus y taxi”. Bueno, al no seguir mis indicaciones desde un principio y valiéndome solo de mi instinto y orientación para corregir el rumbo… nos perdimos. Callejón sin salida  lleno de coches aparcados. ¿Conseguistéis salir? Sí, pero no sin esfuerzo.

Después de aquello nos volvimos a perder, por suerte los que nos esperaban supieron localizarnos por mis referencias a bancos y luminosos color rojo. Una vez los cuatro en el coche a por la quinta… que ya había cenado.  Cuando estuvimos todos juntos, el típico dilema: ¿Adónde vamos? A la izquierda, a la derecha… no nos decidíamos, así que al final cogimos el coche y nos fuimos en busca del Burguer perdido. Por suerte para nosotros, preguntando se llega a Roma, y al burguer también. Burguer que tenía un cartel iluminado que se veía desde la villa y que nosotros no supimos apreciar… Cuando el muchacho depués de preguntarle, nos dijo: “Sí, un burguer como este”  (señalando el inmenso establecimiento) la risa se apoderó de nosotros…

El resto de la noche, pues lo que se hace en todos los cumpleaños cenar tranquilamente poniéndonos al día y recordando los viejos tiempos.

A Arvi: los hermanos Larsson son los hijos de un escritor muy famoso. Estaban en mi casa pero les he pedido que se vengan a vivir conmigo.  Pero te digo una cosa… los tres están gordos como ballenatos… tendré que tener paciencia con ellos…

A mi querida tía: no te preocupes, todavía no los he empezado. Ahora estoy con Susanita Tamaro y después a ver si me pongo con el mayor de los Larsson.

Buena prueba del buen momento que atraviesa esta literatura en el norte de Europa es la obra de la autora Asa Larsson. Una curiosa coincidencia de apellido con Stieg; aunque no sólo de “Millenium” viven estos países. 

El evento literario ha seguido los pasos de otros del género que salpican la geografía española para posicionarse como referente en esta literatura negra que inunda nuestras librerías. Para ello, este año se ha situado en el calendario justo después del recién creado “Santiago Negro” en la ciudad de Santiago de Chile, otro síntoma de que esta corriente comienza a traspasar fronteras de forma veloz y a hacerse hueco en la Red. 

En este sentido apunta también el gran interés que la novela negra genera en nuestra ciudad de Madrid no sólo en los lectores… también en aquellos autores que escogen la capital de España como escenario ideal para sus obras. Y es que, el corazón es un lugar oscuro y “el de Madrid, también” como ya apuntaba un antiguo presidente de la Comunidad Autónoma. A esto se suma el que haya autores, como Juan Madrid que opinan que el periodismo ya no es lo que era, ya no tiene una función de denuncia. Ésta ha pasado a la narrativa negra y por tanto debe “desvelar las cloacas del sistema”. Por eso se afanan en mostrar lo mejor de su pluma en proyectos como el madrileño Hotel Kafka (del que seguro hablaremos en este blog) y desde donde el propio Juan Madrid nos avanza su programa formativo:

Juan Madrid, a pesar de ser natural de Málaga, centra la acción de muchas de sus historias en Madrid porque además de ser oscura en sus entrañas obtiene en la capital escenarios reales de denuncia para su obra, aunque echa de menos esos bares que abrían hasta la madrugada. Ese ambiente propicio a lo negro que plasman sus libros. Lo policíaco “está de moda en todo el mundo”, anunciaba a su llegada del festival chileno. Prueba de ello son sus novelas “Adiós, princesa”, “La Mano Negra” y la más evidentemente madrileña “Crónicas del Madrid oscuro” (fragmento) que inspiró la película mexicana “Ciudades oscuras”:

Esta valiosa trayectoria en el género negro y su experiencia como redactor de “Cambio 16” han valido que ahora se recopilen en un único volumen todos sus cuentos policíacos a la par que se publica su nuevo relato “Bares nocturnos” donde denuncia la corrupción de algunas ONG en África. El festival se ha convertido así, para el autor, en una oportunidad perfecta para presentar sus nuevos folios. Por la mañana en El Bercial, dentro de la sección de literatura de El Corte Inglés. Por la noche, en el Fender de Getafe. Un entorno mucho más digno de alguien que ha sido embajador del negro español en el festival de Toulouse y que tantos y tantos folios ha dedicado a nuestra ciudad con el uso sabio y realístico de la tinta. Negra, por supuesto.

Swedish football striker Henrik Larsson retires from professional football.

Yesterday the former Celtic and Barcelona striker announced his retirement. After 16 years as a professional football player he has come to the decision to put his career to an end.

“I am now 38. It’s enough,” Larsson says in a press statement. “Now it’s time for something else”. His decision to retire has been developed over time.

Larsson, who plays for the Helsingborg team in the Swedish premier division, will play two more matches in the Swedish league before he does his final match when the season ends on 1 November. After that he will put his red and blue Helsingborg sweater on the shelf and go for a well deserved vacation.

During the 2000-01 season when playing for Celtic, Henrik Larsson won the Golden Boot for being Europe’s top scorer. Amongst Celtic supporters he is known as ‘The King of Kings’.

Larsson also played in Manchester during 2007. He participated in three World Cups and three European Championships and scored 37 goals in his 106 international matches for the Swedish team. Over the  years, Larsson has retired from the Swedish team several times, but he always came back when they needed him to help support his national team.

When Larsson helped Barcelona beat Arsenal with 2-1 in 2006 it became his biggest European triumph. Barcelona received it’s first Champions League title in 14 years and Henrik Larsson became the hero.

Back in Helsingborg, sports journalist Martin Bergstroem, reveal his opinion on the matter.

“He is without a doubt one of Sweden’s absolute best football players throughout history. Of course that makes his retirement a loss for the Swedish national team and for his fellow club players in Helsingborg,” Martin Bergstroem tells Edinburgh Napier News. “Larsson’s shoes leave a big empty hole to fill out, which opens up for new, younger players to rise in Swedish football.”

“Although, Larsson’s decision was expected,” Bergstroem continues “I think he did the right thing now when Sweden missed out on the World Championships and Helsingborg at the same time missed their chance to this year’s gold medal”.

Say what you want about Sweden loosing one of their greatest football strikers, but Larsson has plans on a future as a trainer. “If he decides to stay in the football world and help develop other players, we should consider ourselves lucky’”, says Bergstroem.

After this mornings press statement with his home club in Helsingborg, Larsson stated that he is fully satisfied with his decision. “It has developed furthermore during this season. Of course, it has been tough, but it was a tougher decision leaving the Celtic,” Larsson said. ”I have enjoyed my career and am very grateful to everyone who has supported me ,” he finished his statement.

Literaturverfilmungen sind beliebt und haben eigentlich immer Hochkonjunktur, so vielteiliger desto mehr. So ist es auch nicht ungewöhnlich, dass zur Zeit mit Stieg Larssons “Millenium-Trilogie” erneut eine Bestsellerreihe zum Ausverkauf in den Kinos steht. Schließlich riecht ja eine Literaturverfilmung gerade nach sicherem Zuschauerinteresse.
Der Plot in diesem Fall ist recht simpel und geradlinig;  einsamer, gescheiterter Ermittler mit letzter Chance, eine Bettgeschichte hier, etwas Blut da, klassischer Stoff der Sparte “Spannung” eben. Klar muss man sagen, dass das Stück ordentlich verfilmt ist und auf technischer wie auf schauspielerischer Seite solide daher kommt, aber was ist das schon wenn einfach die Würze, das Besondere fehlen???
Es ist und bleibt eben nur ein ordentlicher Film, der gut zur einfachen Abendunterhaltung taugt, über den allerdings niemand reden wird. Es bleibt einfach nichts hängen von diesem Film, auch nicht, wenn man mit Konstanz Teil 2 und 3 unter uns bringen wird…

La verdad es que hace muuucho que no escribo, tengo el blog demasiado “out of work” y ya va siendo hora de revivirlo un poco.
He aprovechado estas semanas de “vuelta al cole” para volcarme en la lectura, y nada mejor que una trilogía de novela negra
como Millenium.

La he devorado en algo menos de un mes y me ha invadido un sentimiento de tristeza al pensar que, a pesar de tener un borrador de lo que sería la cuarta entrega, Steig Larsson no volverá a sorprendernos con una nueva historia de Mikael Blomkvist y lisbeth salander.
Para los que aun no hayais leido la trilogía completa mejor no sigais leyendo, podría revelar cosas y no me gustaría estropear la trama!

Sobre los libros tengo que decir que me han enganchado desde el primer momento, quizás el más completo haya sido el tercero, donde un sinfín de personajes y situaciones dispares encajan dandole sentido a la trama inicial.

He estado dando vueltas por la red y he podido leer diferentes opiniones acerca del estilo de Stieg Larsson; unos dicen que a menudo parece que no redacta una novela sino un artículo periodístico, algo que no me habia parado a pensar, pero no hay que olvidar queStieg Larsson era el fundador y redactor en la revista “Expo” que, cito textualmente de la wikipedia, “dedicada a estudiar y cartografiar las tendencias antidemocráticas, de extrema derecha y racistas en la sociedad”.

En mi opinión Stieg Larsson describe detalladamente los lugares de Suecia, con nombres tan trabalengüísticos por cierto, de tal forma que da la sensación de conocerlos o haber estado allí.
Me ha sorprendido tambien la manera en la que describe el ambiente político del país con el asesinato de Olof Palme o el KGB,el empleo de la informática a nivel de hacker, las características específicas de ordenadores de la marca Apple o la descripción detalladas de los muebles de Ikea de Lisbeth Salander. Para esto último aquí os dejo el link a un blog cuya autora ha colgado las fotos de los muebles de Ikea para hacernos una idea más real del mobiliario de su nueva casaza.

A esto añado las dosis de café que inundan los tres libros, y que de alguna manera son el reflejo de los “20 cafés” diarios que Stieg Larsson tomaba para poder trabajar por las mañanas y escribir por las noches las novelas.

Dentro de la colección de personajes de los libros sin duda alguna la más variopinta y especial es Lisbeth Salander, una chica de más de veinte años que físicamente aparenta ser una adolescente sin desarrollar, muy menuda, con un montón de piercings y tatuajes. Inteligente, introvertida, muy suya, con un concepto de la justicia y de la moral infundado por su pasado, donde se le privó de sus derechos como persona por un supuesto “bien mayor para el Estado”.
Lisbeth encarna a un personaje femenino fuera de todo lo estereotipado hasta ahora.
No es el típico personaje femenino heróico al que estamos acostumbrados, no se trata de una mujer guerrera con un físico increíble ni tampoco se trata de un personaje femenino que espera a que el hombre sea quien la rescate de su desgracia.
Se trata de una persona que se ha hecho fuerte y ha aprendido a sobrevivir y a seguir adelante mientras le ponian la zancadilla una y otra vez. Una persona desconfiada que odia a los hombres que no aman a las mujeres y cuyas leyes morales vienen dictadas por su visión del mundo y su experiencia trágica en  la vida.
Ésta es la opinión de Mario Vargas LLosa publicada en el periódico “El País”.

Pero Lisbeth Salander no es la única mujer que aparece en las obras, también está Erika Berger, periodista amiga y confidente de Mikael, entregada a su trabajo, sincera, con carácter y con criterio.
Mónica Figuerola, inspectora del Departamento de protección constitucional, deportista, guapa, implicada; así como Sonja Modig, inspectora de homicidios de Estocolmo, entre otras. Todas ellas encarnan personajes femeninos que s evalen por si mismos y tienen gran importancia en la historia. Mujeres luchadoras en busca de justicia.

Stieg Larsson en cada parte del tercer libro hace unas introducciones relatando la existencia, hace siglos, de mujeres guerreras y luchadoras que sobrevivian y se imponían.
Lisbeth Salander es la imágen de esas mujeres en el siglo actual. Lo más curioso es que a pesar de la forma de ser tan extraña y solitaria que aparenta en un principio se le acaba cogiendo mucho cariño ya que evoluciona a través de los libros sin dejar de ser ella misma. Lisbeth esta bajo la tutela de un administrador, debido a una “incapacidad” dictaminada por el juez años antes, pero la verdad es que sabe cuidarse de sí misma e incluso trabaja en una empresa de seguridad, Milton Security, realizando investigaciones gracias a sus dotes para acceder a ordenadores ajenos.

Por otro lado tenemos al personaje masculino Mikael Blomkvist. Periodista en la revista Millenium fundada por él y su compañera de trabajo y cama , Erika Berger. En la revista se denuncian injusticias, una de las cuales da comienzo al primer libro, donde Mikael realiza una investigación sobre un empresario corrupto que resulta ser una encerrona.
Esto da lugar a que Mikael sea contratado para la investigación de un asesinato que ocurrió hace 40 años en un pueblo cercano a Estocolmo.
Stieg describe a Mikael como un hombre atractivo, seductor, que de alguna manera entiende a las mujeres.
Es un hombre justiciero que se involucra en su trabajo y sus investigaciones hasta el punto de aislarse.
Sin embargo Mikael tiene una hija que solamente aparece en el primer libro, fruto de un matrimonio que fracasó, a la que no atiende y tiene algo abandonada como padre. Esto puede dar que pensar, es decir, Mikael no es de esos hombres que no aman a las mujeres, pero en los libros es descrito como ligón, justiciero, sensible y amable. Algo que choca un poco. Quizás simplemente no sepa afrontar la responsabilidad como padre y este muy volcado en su trabajo. Quizás en libros posteriores la hija podría haber tenido algun tipo de relevancia, pero es algo que tendremos que imaginar.

Los libros tratan sobre los hombres que no amaban a las mujeres desde el punto de vista de la violencia de género y el acoso sexual, pero no solo se centra en ello.
Consumismo, corrupción a nivel económico, politico, donde los hombres dirigen la mayoria de las cosas, explotación infantil, trafficking … son temas centrales de la trilogía Larssoniana.
De alguna manera Stieg nos muestra una Suecia donde la corrupción tiene cabida, donde la violencia de género es una realidad, con unas estadísticas preocupantes, algo que choca con el avance social y democrático del país.

Stieg Larsson murió en la entrega del tercer tomo, y tenia pensado escribir otras siete obras más. Él sabía que serían un éxito y pretendía(o al menos eso he leido) ofrecer el dinero recaudado en próximos tomos a alguna organización a favor de los derechos de las mujeres y en contra de la violencia de género. El problema es que su pareja, con la que no estaba casado pero que llevaba conviviendo años, no recibirá los beneficios de su obra. Serán su padre y su hermano, con los que estaba distanciado tanto geográfica como emocionalmente desde hace bastante tiempo.
Vivían juntos sin casarse para preservar el anonimato de éste ya que había sido amenazado por su trabajo como periodista.
Al no estar casados ella no tiene ningun derecho sobre los bienes de Stieg Larsson, y ya existen en la red varios movimientos para recaudar dinero para su pareja, Eva Gabrielsson.

Respecto a la película protagonizada por Noomi Rapace y Michael Nyqvist, la verdad es que si no te has leido el libro es de esas películas que gustan, es bastante explícita en ciertos momentos desagradables y la trama y los personajes se entrelazan bastante bien. Pero una vez que has leido el libro descubres que hay muchas cosas que no suceden como en la película: la hija de Mikael no sale, y las pistas biblicas se le atribuyen a Lisbeth.
Por otro lado uno de los personajes del libro está muerto en la película, Mikael no es el prototipo de hombre seductor que quizás me hubiera imaginado y Lisbeth me resulta más atractiva y algo mas femenina que en el libro. (a pesar de la ropa y el maquillaje).
