Każdy o nim marzył a najbardziej chyba dzieci wychowujące się w wielkomiejskich blokowiskach. Dla dzieci mieszkających na przedmieściach lub wsiach wybudowanie takiego domku nie stanowiło problemu ponieważ zawsze znalazło się jakieś drzewo na którym można było go wybudować czy to na własnym podwórku czy gdzieś w lesie. Niestety nie miałem takowego domku ale od czego ma się kolegów, zbudowali oni dwupiętrowy domek w małym lasku. Niestety rzadko kiedy na niego wychodziłem gdyż był usytuowany na dość sporej wysokości przez co bałem się tam wychodzić.

To niestety jedynie zdjęcie poglądowe, domek z którym ja miałem do czynienia już dawno nie istnieje a lasek w którym został wzniesiony wycięto.

We hebben vorige week een moeilijke week gehad met Las.
Ik was er zo emotioneel van dat ik er niet over kon schrijven op dat moment maar op dit moment lijkt alles goed met hem te gaan.

Twee weken geleden stond onze oudste hond Las ’s avonds op en liep alsof hij dronken was.
Ik dacht in eerste instantie dat zijn achterpootje sliep maar even daarna begreep ik dat het erger moest zijn. Hij viel steeds om en zakte steeds door zijn achterpootjes.
Ik ben tot kwart over twee ’s nachts bij hem gebleven en hij sliep toen goed. Ik ben toen ook maar gaan slapen. De volgende ochtend was ik om half zes alweer wakker en ben naar beneden gegaan. Helaas was er geen verbetering in de toestand van Las en ik heb meteen voor die ochtend een afspraak bij de dierenarts gemaakt.
We waren op het ergste voorbereid en ik heb echt gedacht dat we Las niet meer mee naar huis kregen.
Hij was wel heel kwiek, wilde wel lopen (al viel hij steeds om) en stond ook te kwispelen bij de dierenarts. Ook zijn ogen draaiden steeds naar een kant en weer terug en hij hield zijn kopje steeds scheef.
De dierenarts vroeg ons (Mike was met mij mee) of hij Las nog een kans mocht geven of dat wij dit niet wilde.
Het antwoord was natuurlijk volmondig JA!!
Las bleek een TIA te hebben gehad en door een injectie met een sterke dosis prednison zou hij er weer bovenop kunnen komen….
De dierenarts had al een aantal honden meegemaakt die weer goed hersteld waren na deze injectie.

Gelukkig bleek dit voor Las ook te werken! Hij is weer zo goed als de oude Las.
Hij is wat trager in zijn wandeling maar daar nemen we graag alle tijd voor.
Gisteravond deed hij iets vreemds. Hij begon tegen Yenta te blaffen aan een stuk door en Yenta ging zelfs plat liggen voor hem. Dat vind ik niet zo’n fijn idee dus wanneer we nu van huis zijn worden voor de zekerheid de hondjes apart gezet.
In eerste instantie dacht ik dat dit ( een soort verwarring of zo) met de TIA te maken kon hebben of zou het misschien te maken kunnen hebben met een eventuele zwangerschap van Yenta. In december wordt er eerst een echo gemaakt voor we zekerheid hebben daarover maar dan snap ik nog dat blaffen niet.
Hij heeft het na die tijd ook niet meer gedaan gelukkig.

We hebben hem in elk geval nog bij ons, de dierenarts vertelde ons dat hij absoluut geen pijn heeft gezien de gedragingen van Las maar dat het geen hondje van jaren meer is maar van maanden.
Dat weet je natuurlijk zelf ook als hij al bijna veertien is maar daar denken we nog maar even niet aan!

Detta är precis vad sommarens konflikt på Lagena handlade om, och visar tydligt att bemanningsföretagen är stöttrupperna i arbetsköparnas kamp mot facket – vare sig det handlar om en underleverantör till statliga Systembolaget eller ett amerikanskt klädföretag. Björklund och Olofsson kan gapa sig blå om att LAS måste avskaffas, är manövrer som Lagenas eller Urban Outfitters möjliga är lagen värdelös redan i dag.

1. INTRODUZIONE

Alla fine del 21esimo secolo l’umanità entrò nell’era del caos, che in pochi decenni portò alla completa estinzione del genere umano. Teologi e scienziati concordarono nell’affermare che la fine dell’uomo combaciava con qualche misterioso piano, sia questo divino,  naturale o chimico. Non era certo importante determinare la vera entità di questa svolta (che chiamarono Curvatura di Involuzione), ma era fin troppo chiaro che gli eventi che si susseguirono in quegli anni avevano un unico fine: l’estinzione della razza umana.
Vi erano guerre, vi erano epidemie causate dalle guerre stesse (soprattutto quelle in cui venivano usate armi batteriologiche) e vi erano catastrofici eventi naturali dovuti agli sbalzi climatici avvenuti in tempi recenti. Vi erano insomma tutti i presupposti per il crollo della grande cultura egemone dell’uomo, ma a nessuno sarebbe saltato in mente di pensare ad una totale scomparsa del genere umano.
Questa avvenne a causa della perdita di fertilità. Nessuno riuscì mai a capire quale fu la causa di questo evento. Forse l’evoluzione di uno dei tanti virus sviluppati in laboratorio e fuoriusciti a causa dei bombardamenti delle guerre in corso, almeno secondo gli scienziati, mentre per i religiosi era fin troppo facile pensare a una punizione divina.
La presa di coscienza dell’impossibilità di riprodursi trascinò l’umanità in un profondo baratro di disperazione che portò a guerre ancora più cruente e a conseguenti carestie che decimarono la popolazione mondiale. In breve tempo rimasero solo sporadici gruppi che attesero inermi la fine di una razza.
In questo contesto si posiziona la Rete di Hope (Hiding Organization Program Evolution), una società segreta operante in un sottolivello della rete e composta da studiosi, scienziati e teologi. Lo scopo di questa organizzazione segreta era quello di preservare l’Esistenza Umana anche nel caso di una terribile estinzione totale. La visione lungimirante e nefasta dei fondatori della Rete di Hope mise in moto il complesso disegno che questi studiosi avevano da tempo programmato.
Con un lavoro intenso di programmazione e assembramento di processori, calcolatori e memorie, e dopo cinque anni di sperimentazioni, la Rete diede vita a LIMBO, il mondo virtuale dove sarebbe rimasta in salvo non solo la conoscenza dell’uomo ma la sua vera ed unica coscienza, attraverso la Trasmigrazione Esistenziale di centinaia di volontari. Limbo sarebbe stata la giara elettronica per la preservazione dell’uomo, fino a quando un’altra razza, terrestre o aliena, avrebbe saputo riportare fuori da quel mondo virtuale le coscienze scaricate al suo interno.

2. I MONDI VIRTUALI

Alla metà del 21esimo secolo l’uomo era capace di sondare mondi virtuali trasmigrando  al loro interno. Ogni caratteristica, alterazione e sfumatura di una persona veniva tradotta in codici binari creando così l’esatta copia elettronica di una coscienza, che poteva essere scaricata all’interno dei programmi struttura di questi mondi artificiali. Questi sdoppiamenti d’identità scaricati in mondi virtuali venivano chiamati Elenty (Elettronic Entity).
La grandezza di questo traguardo della tecnologia fu ridondante quanto il suo immediato fallimento. Ben presto infatti ci si accorse che l’entità scaricata dentro un mondo virtuale doveva combattere con la sua gemella del mondo reale per conquistare il diritto all’esistenza nell’universo. A questo concetto ci arrivarono i teologi che da allora lavorarono molto vicino ai programmatori e scienziati del campo.
I primi mondi virtuali, meravigliosi sotto l’aspetto sensoriale e liberi da ogni vincolo restrittivo come il tempo, le necessità e il pericolo, rafforzavano enormemente le entità sdoppiate al loro interno che potevano facilmente avere il sopravvento su quelle gemelle presenti nel mondo reale. Difficili da eliminare con programmi assassini, spesso per salvare l’entità umana si ricorreva a spengere il processore. Infatti un Elenty, a differenza dei programmi artificiali, ha bisogno di energia elettrica per sopravvivere (come il nostro cervello).
La persona la cui entità veniva sdoppiata cadeva in depressione e se non si interveniva in tempo a sopprimere l’Elenty relativa, l’uomo avrebbe prima o poi tentato il suicidio.
Data la pericolosità dell’operazione, queste sperimentazioni vennero subito proclamate illegali. Ciononostante i ricercatori continuarono a lavorarci segretamente, spesso finanziati da uomini di potere desiderosi di costruirsi il proprio bel mondo virtuale dove poter scaricare il loro doppio come alternativa alla morte. Una sorta di personale paradiso elettronico.
Attraverso gli anni e le sperimentazioni si conobbero molti aspetti di questa pratica che non poteva essere presa troppo alla leggera. Vi erano fattori quali il rigetto dell’identità, la percezione del tempo e il baratro dell’appagamento che aprivano le porte a incredibili scoperte filosofiche.

IL RIGETTO DELL’IDENTITA’: l’Elenty rifiuta di tornare indietro e combatte per non essere soppresso e darla vinta all’entità del mondo reale. I programmatori sono costretti a distruggere l’Elenty per salvare l’uomo, ma la sua identità rigetta il mondo reale e si toglie la vita.

LA PERCEZIONE DEL TEMPO: è data dalla frenesia dei programmi all’interno del mondo virtuale. Trovare l’equilibrio temporale all’interno di un mondo virtuale non è facile. Alcuni Elenty vivono dieci vite in un giorno terreno, rimanendo vittime del Baratro dell’Appagamento.

IL BARATRO DELL’APPAGAMENTO: si raggiunge quando in un mondo virtuale si ha un overdose di esperienza. L’Elenty che raggiunge questo apice di appagamento tenterà il suicidio.

3. I PROGRAMMI DI LIMBO

Limbo è composto essenzialmente da quattro tipi di programmi, oltre ad altri svariati programmi come Necessità, Sopravvivenza ecc.

Limbo’s Artificial Structure – LAS, programmi struttura del mondo. Riguardano i 4 elementi e tutti i programmi che interagiscono con la percezione dei Programmi Viventi. Anche la maggior parte dei vegetali sono riprodotti in struttura, un po’ come se si trattasse di alberi dipinti, insensibili ad agenti esterni.

Limbo’s Artificial Entity – LAE, chiamati anche ARENTY, programmi viventi fini a loro stessi. Creature come gli animali di bassa intelligenza sono sempre Arenty, così come alcuni esemplari del mondo vegetale e anche una buona parte dei Programmi Viventi Intelligenti. Un Arenty ha uno scopo ed è legato a questo. Anche quelli più complessi non possiedono la libertà di scelta tipica delle entità coscienziose.

Limbo’s Artifitial Conciouness – LAC, chiamati anche ARCON, programmi senzienti con la possibilità di evolversi. Sono programmi che hanno la medesima complessità degli Elenty ed infatti sono creati a loro immagine. I programmatori sdoppiano un Elenty e lo manipolano creando una nuova entità, non più in conflitto con la sua gemella, e con l’opzione di libera scelta. Esistono Arcon che si credono Elenty.

So I hit the freeway early Wednesday Morning headed to Las Vegas. A mini road trip for the thanksgiving holiday. The night before I left I came into the possession of two packages of those tuna and cracker kits. I ate one that same night. I usually eat two of them. Something told me to keep the one for the road trip.

To me it really isn’t a road trip, driving to texas is more of road trip to me, but anyway I was on the road and it was a “trip.” I was in the car with family and we had only a few cd’s. Micheal Jackson’s bad album,Toni Braxton, some type of workout mix, and some others. I really only remember the bad album because that’s what was in the cd player the most.

To me I arrived in Vegas in record time, there was no traffic since we left so early, and we floated all the way there. I exited the freeway on tropicana and ended up waiting forever at the light. I see this homeless gentleman who looks really down and out. People just keep passing him as if he isn’t there. He has a sign in his hand but I couldn’t read what it said.

Without even thinking I look down and see the tuna and cracker package in between myself and the passenger seat. I roll down the window and ask him if he wants something to eat. He looks confused like he doesn’t understand but he walks over to the car and I hand him the package. It’s all I could give him at the moment, but I felt like it was more than he had in a while.

It’s hard for me to imagine that with all the food in Las Vegas at the buffets and such, that this man for whatever reason was not able to eat. It bugged me to think of this, but then I remembered that I did what I could with what I had. I always hear people say “to see a change in the world be the change.” So maybe today I started off in the right direction.

It appears to me that I will be used more in the future as an avenue to help those who need it. I accept that openly.

After that I headed to UNLV where I pretty much fell in love with the Thomas and Mack Center. I can see myself playing in that gym in the near future. For whatever the reason may be. School or whatever, I know the NBA plays there in the summer time. So it’s up to me to believe in myself no matter what the circumstances may appear to be.

I never personally went on a recruiting trip to a college, so as I was at UNLV I decided to take my own tour. They have some really nice facilities. In fact I would most likely spend most of my time in their fitness area. The gyms on the upper level were calling my name.

It was a good day, I met some cool people and returned back home in time to play practice a little basketball at the gym. I just wanted to share that story, not much else to say.
