Según la directora general, Carmen Sandoval, “la elite nacional se dará cita en el próximo puente de San José en el Mar Menor para participar en esta competición de vela ligera”. En concreto, se tiene prevista la inscripción de más de 200 regatistas, entre las distintas clases y categorías, tanto masculinas como femeninas, muchas de los cuales son preolímpicas.

También anunció que próximamente se presentará en la Región el programa completo de este acontecimiento que organiza el Club Náutico Mar Menor en colaboración con la Dirección General de Transportes y Puertos y las federaciones de vela nacional y regional.
