26th of december an we are all feed up Time to review my christmas outfits for this year!

First I would like to show you “Desire” of Miamai. The name means the outfit!

This gown is really a desire! A long very classym sophisticated gown. Originally it was made for the MVW 2010 finalist Mavi Beck from Italy. But for me it is also a perfect gown for chistmas eve in this color. A sexy corsage just covers what needed and shows off a wonderfull sexy non covered back…a desire of every male . The long, floating skirt is made with an eye for amazing details! Sweet, lovely ruffles lead from the corsage in to the skirt that gets more and more wide as it goes donw to the floor. The backside of the skirt is like a little gown train. The awsome textures go down and end in a beautiful seam of nice little dots. Also included in the whole outfit are the gloves with their great prim seams on the elbow. If you take a closer look you can see the amazing hair piece that decorates the hair with the same beautiful ruffles you can see on the skirt. This dress earns a fantastic jewelry to make the real glamour look. For me perfect in style and color was the “Victoria” gold/white set from Gems & Kisses!

The color of the collar part fits perfect to the red of the gown and the golden metal parts make this little piece of art to a high fashion part of the whole outfit! The lovely circles that decorate the earrings and the collar are a mixture of shining white pearls and gold. With the velvet fabric part it let you look like a princess. Every little part of this jewelry was made with time and lots of work that you can see if you take a close look! The collar is made in a very nice shaped way. It clings perfect round your neck and lays as it was made for on your shoulders.

This mix of Miamai and Gems & Kisses for me looks perfectly made for a Lady!

My second outfit would be “Hymn” also from Miamai. This gown especially in red looks really like it was made for christmas!

With the white “fur” parts ( Iam sure no animal dies for this ) it looks like Santas wife would be coming with her husband to the earth and give the presents to the children. The great hood frames your face and give it a sweet shine. The sexy upper part of the dress has a high slit fom the chest to the belly where a sweet little diamond would be an awsome eyechatcher ( Ms. Santa writes that on her next year’s wishlist). The “skirt” it self is made of 3 attached prim parts. 2 parts go on each leg in plain red and a 3rd part floates lightly over the whole lower part of the bidy from the hips to the ground. This dress as a desirable back view too. A rather revailing neckline in the back gives a sexy but not dirty view on a well shaped slim back. For this out fit i have the perfect jewelry again from Gems & Kisses:

The “I’m a Star – Agtaope” Miniset. The set was made for the MVW 2010 finalist Miss Russia Agtaope Carter. A set where the stars are the focus. Both earrings start with sparkling diomond decorated silver stars and the left side of the necklace even ends with such a star. The other side, same as the bottom of the earrings are sweet diamond lines. “Diamonds are the girls best friend!” Marilyn Monroe said and she is right!

Another great detail made by monica Outlander - designer of Miamai - I will not miss are the new NoAlpha Lashes (here version No 5). They come in 2 versions, one with and one without a facelight. The days of not rezzing alpha lashes are gone with that new kind of lashes from Miamai. Sweet little white sparkling pearls decorate the long, black, amazing lashes…

For me over all it shows how great Miamai and Gems & Kisses go together

I wish you all a nice rest of chistmas holidays and may be you can take a look at Miamai and Gems & Kisses to spend some of your money you were given to christmas in this great stores!!!

Bridget and I revisited the glamour look and changed things up a bit. She’s sporting some really cool eye shadow color here, and in case you didn’t notice, some huge glue-on eyelashes. Her makeup skills are so great that I had barely any work to do in CS4 to retouch the photos. Great job, Bridge!

I’m pretty close to her here with the 17-50 on the camera. The beauty dish is pretty close to her as well, and even at its lowest power setting, the Bowens9000 monolite I pulled out of my Dad’s garage packs such a wallop that I had to shoot at a relatively tiny aperture to prevent vaporizing my subject.

Suki was unfortunate enough to walk right into our shooting session. We couldn’t help but pick her up and take a shot. I don’t think she appreciated it very much, being the diva that she is.

Okay. Tidy up your space because I’m about to get you rolling on the floor. Chances are, you may have already heard about this website, the website that handpicks the most, ahem, special etsy.com handcrafted creations and puts them on display to, ahem, critique.

This website…is regretsy.com.

In honor of the holidays, our blog post is dedicated to regretsy, snarkiest of the snark. The website that points out that your holiday gift could always be worse.

Think J-Lo, Kardashian, lush, silky lashes, that are irresisitably fluttery and soft!
Mink eyelash extensions are applied one by one, just like regular extensions. They are so lightweight, and soft, virtually undetectable. Whether you want natural looking, or glamour lashes, mink eyelash extensions deliver… and then some.

I am proud to offer the mink eyelashes to my clients, and am having a special from now until the end of January…

*Just $15 additonal to the price of a touchup (normally $30)
*Just $30 additional to the price of a full set (normally $50)

Here are few photos of recent clients I have put mink eyelash extensions on.

My brow and lash envy started at age 16 when I realized that my younger sister had brows perfect for waxing and lush, dark, mascara-optional lashes. And that’s how she leaves them. Meanwhile, I have perfected the art of filling in my lighter, more sparse brows and spend more time than I should curling my lashes then layering two types of mascara over a lash primer to get the serious fringe I could only dream of having naturally.

And then came Latisse. I spent about six months doing research and reading user reviews before deciding to take the plunge. Certainly, anything that suggests that it could change your eye color requires some serious due diligence. But my eyes are brown and my curiosity got the best of me. I got the prescription. I walked out of the pharmacy in triumph, with my little magic potion that was going to transform my gaze forever. Or at least until I stopped using it.

After four weeks of nightly use, I started to notice not only longer lashes but also new ones growing in. And by week seven, the little gap of lashlessness on my right eye had completely filled in and my brows were filling in beautifully (yes, I use it on my brows too). Today, after nine weeks and four days, my lashes are longer and fuller and the lash line is darker. Nearly mascara optional (although I will never part with my Shu Uemura eyelash curler). Someone actually came up to me at a friend’s holiday party and said, “your lashes look amazing! Are you using Latisse?!” The derm says I will see maximum results after 16 weeks. If that’s true, I can’t wait to see those eyes staring back at me.

Latisse is the first and only FDA approved prescription drug formulated to grow lashes.

Have you tried Maxfactor’s Falsh Lash Effect mascara? If you haven’t, you should definitely give it a go!

I’ve been a devoted Maxfactor 1000 Kcal mascara fan for the last few years..it was my desert island beauty product..until now. After finding the Lash Effect mascara in a press goodie bag, I thought I’d give it a go.

The results are fantastic, with one coat your lashes are lifted, but with two they are thick and lushious- creating fabulous lashes to frame your eyes. The mascara really works, I’m amazed! If, like me, you can’t be bothered with the faff of false lashes most of the time- it’s a great alternative.

You can buy it for £10.99 online at Superdrug.

2009 saw the introduction of prescription lash serums like latisse to the scene which promised to boost lashes so significantly, some customers would find the need to trim them back! new for twenty-ten is the idea of adding growth-stimulating ingredients to the mascaras that we already apply each morning and first to market is l’oreal’s double extend lash boosting mascara, an update of a glossarie fave. the original coated lashes with an extender and then magnified them with a tubing mascara for a long lush, envy-inducing effect. this one does the same but includes a formula that actually stimulates lashes to grow longer and stronger making it an unbeatable ten dollar triple threat. since the first one worked wonders for my lashes, i can’t wait to get my hands on this new version!

I’m a massive fan of false lashes and I’ve been wearing them for a couple of years now, on night’s out and big glamorous events. I love the way they make eyes pop and more defined, and another big bonus for me is when your make-up is gradually rubbing off, false eye-lashes still make your peepers look fabulously flirty.

One of my favourite and affordable brands is Eylure, I remember my mother using them whilst growing up and i’ve seemed to have taken her false-lash wearing crown. I only have one slight criticism about Eylure and it is their collaboration with Girls Aloud…I have nothing against the girl group, I’m just not a fan of their supposedly own design lashes. However, you cannot fault Eylure’s ‘Naturalites’ range. Or for you false eyelash virgins out there, the apt ‘Ready to Wear’ lashes are a God-send.

After a quick browse on their website, I’ve noticed their ‘Vivid’ collection…although I don’t really think peacock inspired lashes will go down well in the local pub. I may just have to wait until I get invited to an event that is worthy of such dazzling eye armour…Watch this space.

This takes crazyness to a whole new height, what 75 yr old woman has sex on their mind if she has it’s only a dream.

HUMAN rights watchdog Amnesty International has called on Saudi Arabia to stay a sentence of 40 lashes handed down against a 75-year-old woman for breaching the kingdom’s sex segregation rules.( It’ll kill the woman you dopes!)

“The minister of the interior (Prince Nayef bin Abdul Aziz) is reported to have ordered the immediate detention and flogging of a 75-year-old woman, Khamisa Mohammed Sawadi, along with two Saudi Arabian men known only as Fahad and Hadyan,” the London-based watchdog said.

“The Saudi Arabian authorities must not carry out the imminent flogging and imprisonment of an elderly woman and two younger men.”

Amnesty said all avenues of appeal had been exhausted in Saudi courts against the trio’s March conviction for being in the company of members of the opposite sex who were not close relatives.

“It is abhorrent that an elderly woman is at risk of 40 lashes,” said the deputy director of the watchdog’s Middle East and North Africa Program, Philip Luther. We urge the authorities to prevent the imprisonment and flogging of Khamisa, Fahad and Hadyan.”

Sawadi and Fahad were sentenced to 40 lashes and four months’ imprisonment, and Hadyan to 60 lashes and six months’ imprisonment, Amnesty said.Sawadi also faces deportation to her native Syria on completion of her prison term.Saudi Arabia enforces a strict version of Islamic sharia law and imposes corporal punishment for a wide variety of offences Theaustralian.com.au

28 Weeks and our baby bean has grown eye lashes and is about as big as a head of chinese cabbage. Actually, I think bean weighs as much as the chinese cabbage, but who’s counting? The veggie references are out of control lately. At about 2.25 pounds and 14.8 inches (seems pretty specific, doesn’t it?) bean can likely see light in the womb when the eyes open. Um, and it’s light out here.

I think I’m at the point where I feel like this pregnancy is beginning to “define” me. That’s a hard place to be. I want to keep my OLD identity! I’ve heard some people (and you can tell who they are) get totally lost from the person they used to be versus post-child(ren) becoming “So-and-so’s Mom.” One of my greatest hopes is to be able to maintain a strong sense of self, a priority on my pre-pregnancy friends and passions in life, while balancing being this kid’s mama. It is difficult not to lose yourself when others feed that “You are ‘bean’s’ mom,’ right?” in everyday life. I think everyone at church today asked me something about the pregnancy, my due date, how I’m feeling, etc. It’s hard to even remember what they used to ask me before we were expecting. Maybe its because I only lived here like a week before we got pregnant! There is a healthy balance in-between the two extremes somewhere, and I’ve even seen a few couples achieve it. I can only hope we are able to do the same.

Women may soon be able to stop relying on mascara. Biologists at L’Oreal’s research laboratories in Paris have spent the last three years studying eyelashes and have now developed a gel that they claim extends the length of time individual eyelashes grow for before they fall out. This apparently leads to longer, thicker eyelashes. L’Oreal plans to market the gel as an over-the-counter cosmetic.

What Are Eyelash Extensions? Eyelash Extensions are a popular new service and product that lengthens

What Are Eyelash Extensions?
Eyelash Extensions are a popular new service and product that lengthens and thickens your own natural eyelashes. Lash Extensions are single strands of synthetic eyelashes that are curved to replicate a natural eyelash. They are applied to each individual natural eyelash one by one for a natural, beautiful and luscious look. Eyelash Extensions are perfect for special occasions or for day to day wear.

What do Eyelash Extensions look like when applied?
With proper application, meaning one synthetic eyelash applied to one natural lash the look and feel is completely natural looking and real. Noone will know you have extensions. They will just think you were born with beautiful, long lashes!

How long will a set of Eyelash Extensions Last?
When applied properly, eyelash extensions will last the length of the natural growth cycle of your eyelashes. Everyone’s experience will differ based on day to day activities but over all touchups should only be required every 3 to 6 weeks. A special waterproof bonding agent is used. Glue does not contain any fumes or irritants and is long lasting.

How often should I get touch-ups?
We recommend getting a touch up every 2 to 3 weeks. If you wait too long your eyelash extensions will fall out and you will require a full set. Your natural eyelashes fall off every 45 – 60 days due to the natural growth cycle and are naturally replaced with the growth of a new eyelash. Other factors such as expsoure to steam or touching your eyes alot may cause the extensions to fall sooner. A touch up is needed to fill in any lashes that fallen. Touch ups average about 45 minutes.

Can I apply mascara to Eyelash Extensions?
Yes, even though mascara is not really required since the extensions actually give the illusion of wearing mascara it can be worn.. It must however only be water based mascara. DO NOT USE OIL-BASED OR WATER-PROOF MASCARA. Waterproof mascara or any type of oil based mascara can dissolve the bonding agent and shorten the life of your eyelash extensions causing them to fall sooner. Care also needs to be taken in washing off the mascara. Only use a water based eye makeup remover.

Can I swim, shower, exercise, or visit a spa while wearing Eyelash Extensions?
Yes. The bonding agent we use is waterproof and allows you to shower, swim, exercise etc. Special care is required but overall maintenance is low. We do recommend however that you do not wash your eye area for about 12- 24 hours after the eyelash application.

Can I use Eyelash Curlers with Eyelash Extensions?
We do not recommend using mechanical eyelash curlers on your eyelash extensions as these curlers will damage the extensions and possibly your own natural lashes. The extensions do have a natural curl but if more of a curl is required we recommend using a heated eyelash curler.

How do I take care of my new Eyelash Extensions?

Do not get lashes wet for12- 24 hours

Avoid hot steam or sauna

Avoid running water directly on your lashes

Do not rub your eyes

Only use water based mascara (optional)

If applying mascara do so from middle to tip, avoid root area

Use water based eye makeup remover

Do not perm your lashes

Do not use a mechanical eyelash curler

Do not pull on your lashes (this may cause your natural lashes to come out prematurely)

Is the product FDA approved? Is it safe?
Currently the FDA is not regulating eyelash extensions because the eyelash extensions are applied to the natural eyelash hairs and do not touch the skin. The application process is pain-free and relaxing that most clients fall asleep during the procedure. However, improper application by an unqualified eyelash technician can cause damage to your natural lashes. We recommend only using a Certified Eyelash Extension Specialist.

How long will it take to Apply Eyelash Extensions and how is it done?
The application process for lash extensions normally takes anywhere from 45 min. – 90 minutes with someone who is experienced doing them. If you go to a newly certified professional it may take up to 3 hours. You will lay comfortably on a massage or facial table with your eyes closed. The Eyelash professional will then apply an under eye gel pad to cover your lower lashes . Then the extensions will be applied to each individual eyelash on a hair by hair basis.

How do I choose the look I want?
Eyelash extensions are available in a number of lengths and thickness. We normally consult with you first to see what type of style you are interested in. We also determine what your lashes can hold in regards to size. Each person’s lashes will vary in strength and length. We take this into consideration when creating a look for you. The overall look of the lashes is very natural.

No look is complete without a fabulous set of lashes! Although quite a few of us are a little terrified of them in fear of looking like RuPaul – there’s actually quite a selection out there to meet a variety of needs. Some of us just need our lashes to be thicker while some are in need of a thicker and longer look. No matter the look you need, there are a pair of lashes out there for you. The fun part about makeup is that you can experiment at an affordable price.

While there are funky and extreme lashes as the one pictured above, there are also more wearable looks that are suitable whether for the office or a night on the town. If you are interested in giving lashes a try, to start out perhaps you can try Revlon recently launched self adhesive Fantasy lashes that are available in drugstores everywhere! Yes, self adhesive – no glue – no mess!

Like any product out there, some girls rave about it and some think that you might as well stick to regular lashes using glue. The only way to really know is to try them yourselves.

So yes, I bit the “we’ll take on unnecessary risk to our vision in trade for long, thick

So yes, I bit the “we’ll take on unnecessary risk to our vision in trade for long, thick, luscious eyelashes” bug. What kind of beauty junkie would I be if vanity isn’t my top priority? Wait, don’t answer that. Let me clarify that I’m actually using Bimatoprost, one of Latisse’s generic. Bimatoprost is the actual ingredient in Latisse; it’s what makes your lashes grow long and thick. And if you look at both of their labels, it’s the same amount - .03%.

Before we go into the review, I want to go into a brief class about the drug and why it’s labeled for different use. Bimatoprost is originally used for patients with Glaucoma, which according to Wikipedia is an eye disease or disorder that is defined as a characteristic optic neuropathy, or disease of the optic nerve, possibly, if untreated, leading to damage of the optic disc of the eye and resultant visual field loss due to lack of communication between the retina and the brain, which can lead to blindness. When glaucoma patients saw their lashes grow long as a side effect of the bimatoprost drops, the world of cosmetics and pharmaceutical companies saw dollar signs. Cha-ching. In the world of pharmacology and medicine, you’re not allowed to prescribe a drug if its not for its intended use. One of the ways a drug gets introduced as a different/new treatment, it has to be FDA approved – and that takes a lot of money for clinical studies, research etc. So Allergan, the same pharmaceutical company that brought you Botox and Juviderm, capitalized it by putting out the money and making it an exclusive brand, Latisse. So you’re paying the 1000% markup because of its brand. Why can’t we they sell it as a generic? Well, a drug has to be out for at least 5 years before the generic can be introduced into the market for the same treatment – don’t quote me on that though. But if you’re lucky enough, some doctors will prescribe Lumigan (the generic) for your eyelid hairs.

Ok, onto the review. I’m about 5 weeks into using bimatoprost, and I can probably tell a very slight difference in length and volume. Let me start by telling you the kind of brush I used to lengthen the use of bottle. It’s an eyeliner brush I got over the counter – I forgot where. But if you’re familiar with MAC, it’s the #209 brush.

Using this brush allowed me to apply several layers right into my lash line, top and bottom, as well as, extending my eyebrows from ONE drop. This is how I did it, let me repeat it, this is how I did it. I’m not a medical expertise, please follow directions as labeled.

Future updates will be more comprehensive, yeah, these are a lot of separate pictures.

In conclusion, I really like it. Out of all the side effects, I only had slight irritation/redness my first 2 weeks. Some don’t see results until 8 weeks, and I saw some by week 5. I’ll definitely keep this topic updated until the end of 4 months.

i am way into curling my lashes. i love the way that it opens up the entire face, even if it’s makeup free. now, if you’re like me and beauty addicts everywhere, when it comes to curlers you’re a slave to the shu. named best eyelash curler year after year, can you blame us? well the bible has named a new top dog and celebrity makeup artist mally roncal has gotten the last lash. my guess is because it gives a virtually pinch-free curl (thanks to an innovative new design that allows you to rest the whole contraption on your cheek) and none of that 90-degree bend that other curlers can deliver. icing on the cake? it comes in an adorable pink pouch with two refills all for $20.

Step 1: Prep skin with a lightweight foundation. For a matte finish that will keep the focus on eyes, zap excess oil with pressed powder, says Blandino. To try: Almay Powder Skin Stays Clean.

Step 2: Using a deep purple of black eyeliner (such as CG Smoothers Eyeliner in Onyx), follow the contour of upper and lower lashes. Then sweep a shadow in a similar tone across lids. The hottest shades are plum, eggplant and lavender—are super wearable says Strong. Follow with a pale highlighter just above the crease. To try: M.A.C. Eye Shadow in Nocturnelle. Rimmel Metallic Eye Gloss in Notting Hill. For a range of color options, choose a multihued palette like Victoria’s Secret Eye Artistry Shadowing Pallette in pastel Plum or Revlon Illuminance Crème Shadow in wild Orchids. Go for glamour with a gold shade, says Wende Zomnir, creative director of Urban Decay. Curl lashes and apply two coats of thickening mascara, such as Dior MaximEyes Mascara in Plum.

Step 3: Impart a natural dewiness with a translucent gel on the apples of your cheeks. Golden shades flatter a tawny tone, while pinks are best for fair complexions, say Zomnir.

Step 4: Finish with a nude gloss.

I first heard about LashControl through Brittany’s blog. She reviewed the volumizing formula (the purple packaging) awhile back and I’ve been interested ever since. Here’s what the company has to say about their products.

LashControl® is something new and different: An innovative, squeezable mascara package that allows you to continuously regulate the desired amount of mascara product on the brush before it leaves the tube. Simply squeeze the center portion of the tube while you remove the brush. No Glop or excess formula. There are several design variations in formulation and brush style to be distinguished in the COLOR-CODED packaging- pink, purple, blue, red and yellow. The squeeze-wiper color corresponds to features and benefits of the formula and brush combination. The actual color of the formula is black.

The LashControl® mascara formulas and container housing have been engineered and developed over the past 4 years by using the most well-respected manufacturers in the industry. The product and ingredients have been successfully tested for safety, functionality, loss-of-volume, shelf life and durability. They combine botanical-based formulas and extraordinary engineering.

There are currently three formulas available.

Pink – lengthening and conditioning

Purple – volume, plus length and conditioning

Blue – “sheer and sexy” waterproof formula

Three new formulas will be available soon.

Red – a fiber-rich, lengthening formula

Yellow – “extra light Curl Holding formula”

Clear – “Just that – a Clear Coat Control Conditioning formula”

They have also won awards for their packaging, including the ICMAD Cosmetic Innovator of the Year (CITY Award) 2009 for Color Cosmetic Package Design Innovation.

LashControl seems really interesting, but I think the $20 price tag is bit too high. The packaging is the selling point, not the formula, and 20 bucks for a squeezable tube is just too much for me. They sound so cool, though! I may cave in and try it eventually.

What do you think of LashControl? Are just as interested as I am? Have you tried it? Do you like it?

There’s a cute little pizza place next to where I work and I’m currently sitting in their cozy dinning room laboring over a single slice of cheese pizza that I truly wish I had the appetite to eat, but this cold has relieved me of my sense of taste and smell, thus rendering this pizza as good as a greasy lump of dough as far as my taste buds are concerned.

The silver lining, however, is that sitting to my left in the corning is Cute Police Officer. I first encountered Cute Police Officer in the parking lot in front of TJ Max after a woman backed into me and then tried to accuse me of backing into her. It was at least 100 degrees out and we had been sitting in the parking lot for nearly an hour waiting for an officer to show, I’d stopped running my car because my next stop was supposed to be the gas station and I didn’t want to run what I had left out just for the A/C. So I was sweaty, shaken, (largely due to the fact that the woman who hit me was extremely rude), and couldn’t manage to put the correct information on the form I was supposed to fill out. I was, in fact, in such a state that Cute Police Officer ( who’s cute presence didn’t help matters much) offered to call an ambulance because he was afraid I was suffering from heat stroke. What a way to make a first impression!

Since then I see Cute Police Officer all over town doing what the GPD do best… directing traffic and handing out speeding tickets. I’ve never had the opportunity to actually talk to him since that first encounter, which would make this the perfect moment which I’d gladly take… if I didn’t currently look like Rudolf the red nosed drag queen. =(

...just imagine this with a fire engine red nose.

Alright, this is ridiculous… I’ve caught some kind of cold and I can’t sleep. Every time I think I’m remotely close enough to being sleep to actually fall asleep, I start sneezing which then leads to actions that don’t promote sleep one bit, so here I am.

Not wishing to gross you out further with the details of my cold, I’ll fill this space with a bit of makeup archiving. A giant posts of pictures of makeup I’ve done over the last year, that hasn’t made it’s way onto this blog yet, woohoo, and enjoy.
