Et comme Lasonic a senti votre envie de vous déchirer les tympans et de vous fracturer l’épaule pour faire votre fluo kid, il réédite son modèle culte, le I931, en remplaçant le lecteur K7 (vous avez pas connu ça vous les jeunes) par un deck iPod, et en ajoutant des fonctions cool comme la radio, un port USB, un lecteur de carte SD, une entrée auxiliaire et une télécommande.

Pour avoir fait une block party dans une pièce de 13m2 avec l’un de ces engins, je peux vous dire que la qualité et la puissance du son sont assez impressionnantes. Avec une préférence pour le modèle tout blanc en terme de coloris, bien que le noir fasse plus authentique. Bah oui, je suis rétro mais pas trop quoi.

The Lasonic ghetto blaster is great because it has that 70’s retro feel to it while still allowing for iPod compatibility. It is a boom-box that has adjusted with the changing times to be a very nostalgic item. It doesn’t have to sound all that great or have the most versatile options because of what it is. All this boom-box has to do is play loud and clear and let the music do the rest.

as the fam prepares for the trip me and mel went to FRY’S to go pick up some new ish. I went specifically for a new external hardrive (because i desperately needed one after having about 500MB left of space left on my comp due to all the pictures and designs that we have; btw we’re constantly coming up with new concepts for future seasons) and mel wanted to scope out new phones and such..

[Hey this looks familiar] – i guess the rumors were true when they said that Lasonic was going to retro one of the OG radio’s from back in the days (the days when people put radio’s on the shoulders and walked around) only now its radio, tape, cd, and ipod compatible! its pretty sick in person if you’d ask me.

Yes that says 500Gigs.. my next project is to fill it up with designs and concepts and to obtain a 1.5TB!

After Fry’s some of us decided to go hit up the Staples Center to get some Lakers’ feel in our day.. We expected people to be there but we thought not too many people would be there since it was an away game. but we were wrong of course. But as for the game, don’t worry laker fans we’ll get em, trust…

Coming back home we hit up T.G.I.F. for a homies bday. He seemed to love 5Star Army after getting drunk and belligerently proclaiming its glory. Its ok homie we love you too man.. During his drinking run he ran into one of my favorite drinks (i of course took a picture of it) if you know what it is and can state its name much respect to you!…

GET RETRO: LASONIC GHETTO BLASTER

Get Retro continues with a bit of a swerve.  A swerve is my terminology for anything that attempts to combine the past with either the future or current.  Let me introduce the Lasonic High Performance Portable Music System. The updated Lasonic version is 15 lbs and includes a dock for plugging in your iPod.  The 26-inch wide boom box won’t rock the boulevard at 15 watts per channel, but it will be loud enough to bring Rakim to your part of the subway platform.

The unit premiered at CES a month ago but still hasn’t been officially released as of this posting.  Priced at $169, the boom box also supports USB flash drive.   

Another example of a swerve is the Flight of the Conchords camera phone merging a cell phone with a camera.  Hottness.
