I got the drama guy’s number. And now I can’t wait till Monday, the day of my next rehersal. I’ve only had a few crushes in my life. Only one of them actually turned into something, and then ended so abruptly. But this time it might be different. My best friend Meghan told me that at the last rehersal, she saw him staring at me, and smiling at everything that I did. “He must like you.” And as much as I’d like to think so, I doubt it. He just seems like the kind of person that if I ever said “Hey, wanna go out?” then he would say “Okay, when?” I’m afraid that since he’s been homeschooled his life, he hasn’t been exposed to what happens in schools. But that’s just a possibility, I don’t know for sure yet. Heehee, i’m sucha girl. I’m quite aware that no one cares about my little Ian crush. So, I’ll just move on, I guess.

I don’t know if anyone’s ever read the play version of The Diary of Anne Frank, but that’s what we’ve been reading in English. And my favorite part is, without a doubt, the cat Mouschi. I think it’s sooo funny that Peter van Daan spends about have the play saying “I have to give Mouschi his fucking dinner.” Well. Not that exactly. But yea. But now, in the beginning of the second act, we discover that Mouschi has run away. I literally screamed out “NO!” in the middle of the class, to emphasize how much I’ll miss our friend Mouschi.

That’s it, I think. And in case you didn’t know, the title of this is the lyrics to a Radiohead song. Shame on you if you didn’t know that.

Radiohead is so fucking good.  There is no counter argument to that fact.  I wish I had Thom Yorke’s voice for 2 reasons: 1) his speaking voice has a British accent and I covet a British accent hardcore and 2) listen to Last Flowers on Radiohead’s In Rainbows Disc 2.

I do not however want to look like him.  That is one ugly dude.

Estou preparando um especial sobre o Radiohead para publicar junto com a resenha do show de São Paulo. Especial mesmo. Porque, para mim, Radiohead é atmosfera: é tudo aquilo que é impossível de se compreender em questão de estilo, estética e sonoridade na música contemporânea. É uma música que, por mais que a técnica seja maravilhosa, apurada e visivelmente perfeita, você só consegue julgá-la pelo que você sente. E um ingresso para ver o Radiohead é uma passagem para um mundo no qual você tem a certeza, como poucas vezes na cena musical mundial, que vai experienciar algum momento sublime, fora do comum, quase onírico. Sempre defino o Radiohead como uma banda que sente e faz demais. Com uma intensidade quase fervorosa, como as contorções e a sinterpretações de Thom Yorke. Por isso adoro a frase final da música Last Flowers: It’s too much, too bright, too powerful. Isso é o Radiohead. E volto com mais antes do show, para o aquecimento.

Lo mejor de un blog es que puedes poner un vídeo como este sólo por el placer de que los que no lo conozcan lo descubran. Después de ver a una triunfita destrozar Creep sin anestesia y directamente en vena, estas cosas no se hacen Amy, he necesitado varias dosis de Radiohead para volver a un estado sereno y pausado.
